Bye.
PS: See you in a few weeks, friend!

"Safe Haven"
There are no pallets, no vaults, no room to do anything.
I'm sorry the devs have removed the ability to pretty much remove Survivors from the game by standing in the middle of the staircase. I feel so bad for you.
-
The fact that people actually defend this addon is very sad. V-E-R-Y.

No one is going to say that. Stop diving killers and survivors even further.
Not yet. There are people who say this and that's what's really sad. I would tag them but name and shame is not allowed.
-
Well, got what I wanted. Leveled Jane all the way to P3 lvl 50 with a lot of good perks on Tier 3, but it wasn't enjoyable at all thanks to some sweaty players.
-
Her P3 kinda looks like she was beat up.
-
Spirit: Completely ridiculous, without Iron Will there's no counterplay to her. I hate having to go against her. You know, I find it really funny that this game is supposed to be balanced around the fact that most survivors loop, yet the devs release a Killer that completely counters it. Just like you said, guessing game.
Legion: Well, he's less common and less annoying than Spirit for sure, but that doesn't mean he's fun to play against. Again, why in the hell can he completely ignore the 2 things Survivors have? Where's the logic in that?
Plague: I don't have issues with Plague, then again, nobody plays her. Overall, I think she's strong in the right hands.
TL;DR - Spirit and Legion are both insanely annoying, while Plague is pretty fun to go against. IMO, the devs should stick to making Killers like Billy or Huntress. Sorry, it's not fun having to rely on luck to win a chase against Spirit.
-
Playing as Survivor - I'm quite lucky in this case, I usually get Autohavens or Coldwinds but when I get maps like The Game or Yamaoka Estate, I want to DC so badly.
Playing as Killer - No joke, I only get the swamp as killer. Legit only swamp.
-
Yup, devs just didn't want to limit other players.
But, since we know that the Entity doesn't understand time, and can pull Survivors from other timelines and universes, it's possible that it can happen.
-
*loses to a 4 man SWF group that probably wasn't using like half of these*
and that's how this thread was born.
-
What does your "viable" mean? If devs listened to most Killer Mains on these forums on "how to make all Killers viable", all Killers would be straight up broken.
By the way, just because many people think that only 2-3 killers are viable, doesn't mean that's true.
-
It is a very rare cosmetic that is hard to get nowadays. You can buy them on E-bay, but that's not official, so buy them at your own risk.
Also, you can try twitch.tv, some streamers occasionally do giveaways and these pants might be in that giveaway. That's how I got mine.

@FeelsVeryBadMan Why is 5 days not enough? Keep in mind that if the time frame is too wide, you'll catch people who're still settling into their proper ranks after the previous rank reset.
I get surviving isn't the same as fun, but if survivors escape more often than not, this means you can run sub-par (fun) builds and still win (escape).
I don't know. I think 5 days is just not really enough to prove something. I think it's enough to gather some data, but I don't think it's very relevant. I would personally prefer if they dedicated like atleast 2 weeks. 5 days for me is simply too short.
About the fun part, I think everyone has their own fun in their own way. I just simply think that "fun" doesn't exist in Red Ranks. Sometimes it does, but it's pretty rare. Well, atleast for me.
-
@Orion said:
@FeelsVeryBadMan Yet the survival rate at rank 1 and 2 is high. 60% for rank 2 and 80% for rank 1 (though the rank 1 survival rate is due to the way rank 1 works and the way they acquired the data). So I understand having to run meta perks on killer to have a chance, but survivor, not so much.
Dunno about you but data collected from 5 days of gametime doesn't seem very relevant to me.
I think due to the tryharding nature of most players in Red Ranks, both sides play with mostly just meta perks to actually have a chance in the game. And, not to mention, surviving =/= fun. I *COULD* escape every game through the hatch because I got lucky or the Killer had pity, but that doesn't mean I had fun that game.
-
Red Ranks are just a shi*storm full of camping, tunneling, BM, and toxicity coming from both sides.
I guess playing like an ######### is fun? When I'm at Rank 1, I feel like I'm forced to play with meta perks only if I'm gonna try to have atleast some fun and chance against those sweaty Killers / Survivors.
-
Moonwalking and Red stain management is a thing for a reason. Those two are the things that put the difference between a good killer and a bad one to a certain extent.
"Survivors would never adapt, they would cry to the devs." Oh, really? What about the pallet vacuum adaptation? Or the exhaustion nerf adaptation? Or the self-care nerf adaptation? Or the DS nerf adaptation? Or the flashlight nerf adaptation? Or the pick-up animation buff adaptation? Or the pallet decrease adaptation? Hmm. Yup. Survivors know only how to cry.
The Red Stain is there for a big reason. It's supposed to let you know where the killer is no matter what. Survivors need that information because the Killers are faster than them. Some good killers have managed to adapt to this, but some haven't. So, who can't adapt again?
-
I started to cherry pick my lobbies because of some of the things you mentioned above. It's insane how awful my teammates are when playing solo. I'm not saying I'm the best player in this game, but holy #########, these people have legit no idea what they're doing.
-
True, but it's not really an intended drop off and sometimes you might have a hard time to actually get up there.
-
Half of these aren't even used by average SWF teams, but ok.
inb4 "you're just an entitled survivor main defending SWF"
-
Balanced Landing is a great perk.... on a few maps / specific locations.
Honestly, if you're going to run Balanced Landing, I suggest you run it with another exhaustion perk (don't count Adrenaline). There were many times where I had only 3 perks the entire game because I got a map that had no drops (like Shelter Woods) and it became useless really quick.
If I had to pick, I would pick Lithe. Much more reliable and you will almost always use it, because vaults are everywhere.
I'm still choosing between Lithe and Dead Hard. They are both good perks, but both have certain downsides aswell.

@FeelsVeryBadMan I mean to be fair I’m probably on this forum more than anyone else and I don’t think he got trashed like some people say.
Then you should know by now that Killers love to over-exaggerate. I think it was a good change, and sure, some QoL changes and slight adjustments would be nice.
-
Can you hear that? Listen closely.
Yup, exactly. It's the Forum Mains. They all ready to tell you that Legion is now garbage tier and the worst killer in this entire game. @TreemanXD
-
Ok, sure, then remove NOED activation aswell and we have a deal.
-
Is this the part where you tell me that all SWF groups are like this?
Btw, thanks for proving my point.
-
SWF: *exists*
Killer Main's mind: I bet these guys are the pro SWF SWAT team ready to bully me to pieces, they will say everything I do and make sure I have no fun whatsoever, I bet they all brought MoM, BT, DS and every other crutch perk available. This is an exploit. Dodge.
Reality (like 85% of the time):
Guy 1: Hey dude, it's Billy but I think you already know that because of that super loud chainsaw noise.
Guy 2: Yup.
Guy 1: Ok. Cool.
-
The devs have stated before that the killers are indestructable and invincible, they can only feel pain and that's why they always grunt when they are hit by DS / Pallet or something.

You clearly haven't been around long enough to see. It's okay we need n00bs like you to keep the game alive. I'll forgive you this time. Keep running in circles, and telling me that is skill.
Running away and dismissing my answers because you damn well know they are true. Good job. Please respond more. Your answers prove my point.
Here, a free advice for you: Stop spending your life camping on the forums and, just this once, go play the game and try to improve.

The difference being:
Survivors Whine and Cry.
Devs: OMG MY BABIES LET ME FIX THIS AND MAKE IT BETTER!
Killers Whine and Cry.
Dev: ######### wait a few years we MIGHT get around to it, a survivor team got Four manned we have to fix it!
That is precisely what a biased-ass Killer main would say. I'm sorry, that's just a fact.
Devs always favor Survivors! This game is highly survivor-sided! They always nerf killers! They NEVER nerf Survivors! They ALWAYS buff Survivors!
Here, I said it for you. :)
-
So I guess the times when killers "whined" for Survivor nerfs never happened, right?
BOTH Killers and Survivors wanted this Killer nerfed for a long time. This isn't the result of "whiny" Survivor mains. Turn off your bias, find something else to do with your life and then maybe come back to start a discussion.
-
Any reasons? Any further discussion to this? No? Then don't bother answering with your 2-word answers on every thread on this forum.
Back to the main thread @Juya :
The generator auras aren't such a big deal, on most maps it's quite easy to find them. The only time I'd want generator auras are on Léry's. That map is so stupid.
I agree with the walking speed, it should be a little buffed and it would also make me put on Sprint Burst more, I having to walk to save my Sprint Burst.
But, tbh, I don't think it would change the meta much.
-
Looping happens because it's the best strategy to waste the killer's time.
Shaking off a good killer is just not very possible. So, because of this, survivors loop to waste time. I've tried many stealth builds and chase breakers, never worked out for me as much as looping did.
Stealth just isn't as safe and reliable as looping, and there are many things that can negate your stealth. The game's been mainly balanced around looping for a long time, so getting into stealth is harder and harder imo.
-
Change =/= Nerf
btw.
-
When he closed the hatch, the exit gates got powered, therefore the remaining survivor can try and open them.
-
It looks amazing, but I don't really like that the killers can also open exit gates. Now countering Blood Warden will be pretty hard if the killer is smart, but we will see how it plays out.
The animation of The Entity and how the look of the map changes looks great.
-
Would you not be scared if you opened your eyes and realised that suddenly you're in a literal nightmare that you can't wake up from?

@FeelsVeryBadMan It's a chance to see our feedback taken to heart, as our dear not_Queen has stated (albeit she and the other team are probably just looking now). Some of us are actually giving feedback that COULD be seen in the PTB, and if our feedback is not balanced, they could do minor tweaks.
Even though the PTB was made for our feedback, it's good to share our thoughts here. Because sometimes flaws could be pointed out before it was placed.
Think of it like a restaurant. The manager decides to give out a new dish, but hasn't actually served it yet, the patrons are given a chance to review it before they could even taste it.
Of course if the dish on paper doesn't look appetizing or is atrociously bad at first glance, the patrons WILL call for it to be changed. After initial feedback, the dish is served with the changes asked for. Then the patrons can give additional feedback based on what they ate. If good, the dish is now purchasable and everyone can be decently happen. If bad, well the dish will be under review.
Dead by Daylight is the restaurant. The devs are the managers, and we the players are the patrons who give feedback based on the dish (characters/perks/features) we are given to eat (see/use). I hope you can understand the nonsense I had just given you and I apologize if I made no sense.
I don't think you should compare this to a restaurant.
It's completely fine to give feedback on these forums, however, how can you give genuine and legitimate feedback when you don't even know if it's actually that bad or not?
It's like when people give 1 star to a hotel and say "never been there, never heard of it". It's BS.
People should take a chill pill, wait for PTB, try it out and then post their feedback and constructive criticism instead of spitting out insults and other kinds of things at the devs.
I appreciate that you care about the game and the community, I do too, but the devs already have a lot of ######### to worry about. Stop making it harder by screaming at them when people didn't even play them yet. (This isn't directed toward you, I think your initial post was nice and you thought it through)

@FeelsVeryBadMan Others have answered you, but I feel the need to give you my second opinion.

Devs: *reewurk Leegun*
Rework: *isn't even out yet, changes listed on the forums, no one even got to play them yet*
Community: this reewurk is trash, im quitting dee bee dee and pls gib me a refund.
Nice strawman.
"Can this please stop? Over and over again people have complained about something being weak, and weeks later decided that it was the best thing to happen. *cough* Spirit *cough*"
This isn't me complaining so much as me giving FEED BACK, you know, the thing that made the Spirit as great as she is now? There is a time and place for feed back, and right now is the time. I love the Legion, and I truly do not wish to see them rot. The changes seem good, and 115 movement is awesome, but the power looks like it'll be completely useless now and I might as well stick with my Trapper if I want to have even a bit of usefulness.
"Just wait for the changes to hit PTB and play it for yourself. Actually, now that I think about it, it won't change anything, people are still going to ######### about it until it's not their way."
I would if I could. Unfortunately I play on PS4 but I will be following the Legion's new gameplay VERY closely. If it plays well, and my feedback was listened to, I'll make another post explaining what is done right with the Legion, and what could change if something is done somewhat wrong. You have to understand I love this community, and I love the Legion as a killer. What happens to them is important for me.
I understand that people are frusturated, whether it's their favourite killer, or just a fun and relax killer to play. @Shad03
Yes, some nerfs / changes were a bit too much, especially the missed attack one. I completely agree with that.
What I don't understand, is why are people always crying about something when it's not even out yet? It might look really bad on paper, but it might be good in-game. Nobody knows that because no one got to play them yet. Feedback is usually given during the PTB or after the PTB has ended.

"jUsT cLeAnSe ToTeMs 4Head"
Imagine doing everything right the whole match, fixing gens, evading the killer, saving your teammates etc. just to get slapped by NOED and get camped because the killer is incompetent and can't get a kill without it.
If it was that easy to cleanse all the dull totems, people wouldn't be complaining.
Like, do you really expect me to run around a map bigger than Jane's butt, find and cleanse dull totems while my teammates last only around 25-30 seconds in a chase almost every game? Those are the games that do not give me enough time to actually do all the totems. Not to mention, if you play solo, chances are that someone already cleansed them, so you'll be wasting your time searching for them instead of doing, you know, your actual objective - gens.

I don't worry about healing I get on a gen, usually you should be able to find someone pretty quickly and other times it's not even needed to find other people because all gens are almost done might as well not get healed especially if using adrenaline. But I guess that's just me I can handle being injured before getting chased but I do understand there are other people that would rather be full health. If people focus more on gens than healing especially if people knew if someone was getting chased then you can do gens even faster. With the current gen rush meta it's better not to use SC and wait for adrenaline.
Alright, at this point I'm just trying out different builds with and without Self-Care to see which one fits me the most. Thanks for the reply tho.
-
@KillermainBTWm8 said:
Games go so quickly in the current game that it's better to not use self care tbh.
Honestly, I think Self-Care takes a long time to fully heal, especially if the killer has Sloppy Butcher, but a lot of the time I felt like I've been weighing my team down because I was wasting too much time looking for someone available to heal me.
-
What do you mean? According to the killer mains on this forum, every SWF group is the most OP SWAT team of survivors who are ready to bully them.
Logic.
-
I would love to see some other things instead of pallets. For example, Autohaven could have barrels you could pull down and stun the killer with (this would replace pallets).
Or on Lery's. It doesn't make sense to have pallets lying there just like that in a hospital. They could be replaced with for example empty medicine cabinets and stuff like that.
-
Camping is needed in some situations.
-
I'm not saying DS was fine before but the reworked version was garbage imo. It kinda deserved a little buff.
5 seconds - 75% (Enduring) = 1.25 seconds
3 seconds - 75% (Enduring) = 0.75 seconds
I like that they used the Endurance status effect for Survivors in a different way then BT, but idk, is it really that good? Everytime I used it didn't really do much for me. I also feel like the drawbacks are quite noticeable.
And y'all should chill, it's been out for a day or two and y'all are screaming. If the devs acknowledge it's broken OP, of course it's gonna get nerfed. I'm sure they learned their lesson with DS -> to not wait 2 years to fix a perk like that.

Bamboozle last too little, and works only on one window - this way the perk is useless on longer loops.
Spirit Fury is okayish, only when using Enduring. Without it it is #########, so it takes two perks.
Haunted Ground? Really? Nobody runs it, because 60 seconds is very little. During this time survivors just hide, and you are lucky when you get 1-2 hits with it.
Discordance? Good only on Billy, Nurse, and maybe Legion.
Corrupt Intervention is only good on the paper - people just hide, then, or look for the totems. It is just delaying start of game by the timer of the perk.
Rancor? Oh boy... Survivor get to see your aura 5 times, and after all the fens are done, you might get one kill, usually you won't, because the obsession will just hide.
Now good perks for the survivors, aside from the Ash's perks:
Head On is situational, I agree, but due to its very huge area you can stun the killer, that is taking his victim to the basement, denying him a hook. You can save your ass as well, if the killer searches for you.
Breakdown is very annoying to face, especially with Saboteur teams. Can't count times, when I faced 4 people running those perks - half the time I was too far to hook someone.
Solidarity with Autodidact works wonders - you get healed in no time, as well as the other survivor.
Deliverance, no need to tell why.
Dance With Me is really good compared with Lithe, or even without it. At the loops with high walls and window you can easily loose a killer.
So, these are recent 4 chapters. What about the others? Survivors have way stronger perks than killers, therefore they have stronger perk combos.
What killers have? BBQ with it's 423523 counters? Totem perks, which don't last 40 seconds?
Head On is so situational that it makes it pretty much useless.
Breakdown might be annoying, but that's it, that doesn't make it good.
Solidarity would be nice if everyone and their mother didn't have self-care or weren't selfish.
Deliverance doesn't work like 80% of the time, if you don't get hooked atleast once in a game, the killer is just bad. It might not even save your ass anyway, seeing as every killer camps and tunnels. Same with after the exit gates are opened, the killer is just gonna camp you anyway.
Dance with me works effectively (the killer actually losing sight of you) only on a few vaults.

I will ask again, what good perk did the killers receive last time?
Pop goes the weasel, Bamboozle, Rancor and Spirit Fury are all good perks. The Plague's / Legion's perks weren't as useful, but neither was Jane's or Jeff's.
Feel free to disagree with me as I know you 100% will and tell me all of those perks that I listed are trash.
-
MoM
Pros:
- Can take a free hit
- I guess kinda anti-tunneling perk?
Cons:
- 80% of the time you'll get hooked before you can use it
- 3 hits required (see above)
- Free aura-reading for the killer, which might also expose your teammates if you are going to hang around them
- After you use your precious "crutch free hit", killer will tunnel the living hell out of you because he can see you pretty much everywhere (see above)
- 1 time use (not saying this is a bad thing)
Damn BHVR, only releasing crutch perks!
-
Devs: *release a seldom good perk for survivors in a long time*
Killer mains: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
-
"Being weak af and totally unplayable"
I mean, I don't know? Isn't just weird how people daily stream this game at rank 1 and still somehow manage to obliterate survivors?
Take Zubat and Scott for example, these guys know how to play killer and do well a lot. Maybe you should stop and reconsider that not everything is about the devs' balancing choices.
