@FeelsVeryBadMan You failed to see the point I made further on in the conversation.
I took Prayer beads off because I knew people like you would make that a argument to justify someone DCing. And guess what? People still DC'ed, and I only used Prayer Beads ONCE during that 9 match streak where 2 people+ DC'ed.
You can't justify DCing in a game, its not a thing. It doesn't matter if the Killer its toxic, or has a toxic-playstyle, or has add-ons or ability's you don't like. You joined that match knowing full well this stuff is in the game, but some people like to "Take matters into their own hands" and DC as a result.
You shouldn't DC because things are unbalanced or not punished, you should be looking into discussing about these things being changed. Because if you didn't know, some things people do discuss here actually make it to the devs ears. Shocking, I know... It may not seem that way, but they listen from time to time.
Discuss what? Many people and many Fog Whisperers already said that this addon is complete OP garbage and should be changed. People have been saying this for a long time and... yeah. Nothing.
People DC'd against you for no reason? Yeah, that's bad and should be punished.
I am 100% okay with losing and I know it's part of a PvP game, however, everything should have a counterplay and Spine Chill or other detection perks don't count, because how in the hell am I supposed to know that I'm gonna get a Prayer Beads Spirit? And taking it every game just in-case I do get one is stupid.
Let me give you an example: The devs have released a new 6,000 BE addon for flashlights. This addon stuns the killer for 10 seconds everytime the killer gets blinded. Just like Beads, no downside, OP af effects. Would you play against this? I think not, and if you say you would, you are a big fat liar.

DCing for any reason (besides special reasons such as bugs and real life situations) is NOT okay. Just because a killer used an add-on that you didn't like doesn't make your actions valid. Stop blaming the killer for their actions, it's time that people take responsibility and improve their behavior.

... you say you dont justify dcing, but in the sentence above you did, saying "i understand why" is the same thing as saying "it's ok" "it's understandable" there is no reason to DC in this game, you hurt yourself with loss of progress, BP you gained, hurt your team, and gives the killer bonus points (both if you are a survivor), and if you are a killer the game just ends and it likely depips the survivors (which it shouldnt)
on a side note, some of the DCs as of late arent the people DCing but the game booting them, happened to me an my friends multiple times, unless the killer was lagswitching to boot us of course but since ive heard multiple reports from multiple friends of getting booted id believe the former would be the more likely
So, let's say BHVR releases a Killer that can down Survivors just by looking at them.
Now, does it sound like fun and fair for you? No, no it doesn't.
Is it a big balance issue? Yes, yes it is. Same thing with Prayer Beads. No counter and no nothing for it. DCing against that is understandable, because people are not going to play against something that: a) is not fun to play against and b) has no actual counterplay.
The a) part could be said about a lot of Killer addons, but some do indeed have counterplay, so DCing against that is ResidentSleeper.
Look at most Killer Addons, if they have a powerful effect, they also have some type of downside to them. Prayer Beads is literally just a straight up buff for Spirit for 6,000 BE.
People damn well know that this addon is BS. Stop trying to defend it.
DCing against a Killer you don't like / when you get a map you don't like etc. is NOT okay and I never said that it was. But it something has no counterplay to it and is super unfun aswell, I can see why it's happening. Yes, I know people DC whenever they want, but in cases like this it's understandable imo. Hell, people even DC against a Legion for some reason.
-
What's LOL about it? Do you wanna play against something that has no counter or is overall not fun whatsoever?
Exactly.
-
Imagine complaining about DCing when you're playing Prayer Beads. Sorry, but I totally understand why people DC against that.
You're saying that it's not fun for you, but ask yourself this: Is it fun for the Survivors?
DCing when you get downed or when it's a killer you don't like is not okay, but playing against something that has little to no counterplay justifies DC imo.
PS: I do not support DCing in any way, but I totally understand when people DC against something like this.
-
Solo is an absolute nightmare.
There you go, that's why people really like SWF, because Solo in high ranks sucks ass.
*inb4 "Oh I actually love Solo Q so much, survivor main btw"
-
Most maps don't even have a 50% survival rate, so, I'm pretty sure maps are ok. Like Peanits said, survival rate isn't the only factor here, but I'm sure most maps are fine the way they are.
Infinites should be fixed, although i'm not sure how and I think boarding up the window permanently is bad choice.
-
That was the problem with flashlights, you could literally click it on the Killer's face and they would be blind. It wasn't balanced at all.
But, I have to agree, flashlights are already weak as they are used only when the Killer's breaking a pallet or when they are picking someone up. That's it.
-
The amount of times I've gotten a purple or a pink key from chest is a one digit number. It's honestly not that common and I loot chests quite often.
-
Killer Gameplay - It's fun imo, but it can be very frusturating sometimes.
Survivor Gameplay - Same thing, it can be fun but also very frusturating from time to time.
Solo Survivor Gameplay - Literal nightmare. Absolute garbage. Devs should look into this more. It's no secret that the majority of the community dislikes Solo gameplay.
Overall, it's still a good game imo. I personally just don't play it as much as I used to because of the frusturation levels.
-
Spirit and Clown, they are both stupid.
If I had to choose one, I wouldn't even know who to choose because they're both bull-#########.
Spirit players made me have Iron Will in every build, because fuq your phasing.
Clown isn't very common, but sometimes when I go against him, I wish I equipped Sprint Burst or something to get away from that bastard.
-
I appreciate what the devs do and their work.
They did a shitton of work, but is it really that complicated to make Bond and Kindred basekit for SOLO survivors, along with UI indicators that for example show who's doing gens, who's getting chased, how many totems there are left and so on?
Solo survivor is a damn nightmare.

Give me a list of killer sided maps. Because the closest I can think of is shelter woods, and I consider that the most balanced map in the game. The game has a plethroa of safe pallets that can't be mind gamed around, forcing the killer to break them to even proceed around the map in some cases. I also didn't see any mention of Perks that killers have that are OP?
As for what game I am playing, the one everyone else is. I play both, and yes I prefer killer, because I get bored with survivor to be honest. Because it is easy. If you spend the same time learning and practicing both, one takes far less time to get good at then the other. Namely survivors. I literally just played 5 games in a row as survivor, only one of those was a 4k for the killer, the rest where either no K or 1K, which according to the devs, shouldn't be the average per game. It should be 2K. And I'm saying this as the one on the survivor side in the case of these games.
Also I am not in the wrong thread as I am talking about survivors and how to balance them. Most of the experiences that are being used against me are taking it from the point of view that survivor is a 1v1 game, but this game is a 1v4 game, and those 4, even without SWF, can work effectively to deny many killers, even good ones, from any meaningful or fun gameplay.
When it comes down to it, I'm not asking nor ever will ask Survivors to be nerfed into the ground. I want balance. I want both sides to have fun, and for it not to be a stressful experience on either outside of it being a competitive game.
Yamaoka Estate
The Game
Pale Rose
Grim Pantry
Mother's Dwelling
those are all maps that Survivors don't like because the gameplay on them is boring or in the Killer's favour.
Plethroa of safe pallets? Where, girl? I can't see them. All I see are pallets that are unsafe, semi-safe and a very few safe ones on most maps.
I didn't list any Killer perks that are OP because no Survivor perks are OP, all of them have counters except MoM. The only perks I would consider bull-######### would be Bamboozle and NOED. Bamboozle is a band-aid perk for infinites, but it's abused on other windows and completely eliminates some loops. NOED is annoying, but has a counter, just like BT, so complaining about it is stupid.
Survivor isn't easy, no matter how many times you're gonna say that, I'm never going to agree. Just because you looped a rank 10 killer doesn't mean Survivors are easy. Wake up.
Yes, there are some issues but y'all Killer mains love to over-exaggerate to hide your lack of skill.
I am done with this discussion because it's obvious you're still gonna be saying how Survivors are OP and easy, and I'm never gonna change you opinion, so I guess there's no point.
-
Seems kinda cool. I like it.
-
@George_Soros said:
@FeelsVeryBadMan oh yes, I was thinking the same about the Temple: what the hell are pallets doing there? Shouldn't there be something like carved stone blocks or something more in style? Not that it effects gameplay, but a little off.
Yeah, another good example.
Springwood and Haddonfield are the same, why are just some random wooden pallets in these towns? They could be replaced with like picnic tables or something.
-
It'd be cool to have like ponds or something.
Tbh, I'm all for more map customization. I'd love to see new props that could replace pallets. Sorry, but having pallets appear out of nowhere in a hospital (Léry's) is dumb. I'd replace them with something else, like small, empty medicine cabinets that would act like a pallet.
Also, I've noticed that the devs are experiencing with cool vault spots. I really like the broken stone fence vault spot on Yamaoka, this could be used in so many other maps.

The game comes to mind for super safe pallets. As well as badham preschool. Lery's as well. The Pale Rose herself. And many others. And I am aware they are mind gameable, I do my best to mind game them, but again, its way easier to do that on the survivor side since you can see so much more and react, wheras the killer has to guess to where the survivor is going next, putting more responsibilty and therefore more stress on the person who is on a team of one vs a team of 4. Also I didn't see you list what is OP on the killers side, just one thing that is on the survivor side.
How about 3 blinks Nurse?
Or insta-saw Billy,
or Iri hatchets Huntress,
or Prayer Beads Spirit,
or Omegablink Nurse,
or Bamboozle,
or insanely killer favoured maps,
or Moris?
Léry's is RNG dependant, sometimes they're safe, sometimes they're not. Pale Rose doesn't have many "super safe" pallets. Badham has only a few safe pallets.
-
- MoM is ridiculous, I agree with that.
- Jungle gyms are very much mindgameable and to a certain extent counterable aswell.
- LT walls are the most unsafe walls in the game, if you are truly complaining about those, you probably just need to get better at Killer.
- Super safe pallets? Where?
- BT - counterable, yet annoying to face
- DS - counterable, yet annoying to face
I really don't know what your problem is, maybe you should just get better before posting on the forums.
Both sides have stupid OP stuff.
-
I accept the fact that it is a strategy. HOWEVER, I think it's one of the biggest things that make people take breaks / quit this game along with camping.
It's incredibly frusturating to be tunneled, especially when you can't do ######### about it and you get that in so many matches.
If I get rescued and I see the killer coming back, fully focused on my thicc Jane butt, I hate it.
If I get rescued and somehow manage to be dumb enough and run into the killer, I deserve to die because it's my fault.
I personally don't tunnel / camp until endgame.
EDIT: Also, yes, it is logical to switch targets in a chase and go after the injured one. It's the survivor's fault for showing up when injured.

So... In order to become a better killer, I have to become a toxic survivor with DS, Metal, borrowed, and balanced/lithe? No I prefer to put some level of skill in my survivor and use a different build
BT counter - Always go after the unhooker.
DS counter - no longer a toxic perk. It's an anti tunnel perk, so, don't tunnel if you don't need to.
Lithe - How is this a crutch perk? Or a second chance perk? Explain, thanks.
Balanced Landing - ^
You're welcome.
-
Tbh, I think Calm Spirit should be merged with Iron Will. Both are in a sense the same thing.
-
I cannot believe that some people are protecting this. Lmao.
"Oh, it's the best skillful and tactical use of a *MECHANIC* by the Nurse, I don't know what you're complaining about."
Yes, it's very skillful and tactical to stand in the middle and go watch videos of cats on YT until they die. The Nurse single-handedly removed 2 Survivors from the game because of this. And what could the Survivors do? That's right, nothing.
"Oh, but bodyblocking the hook is allowed? You trash survivor main."
Bodyblocking the hook is something completely different. Not only can that be countered (Mad Grit, Iron Grasp, Agitation), you also get rewarded for it aswell. You get free 1 hit (sometimes 2) on Survivors. Not to mention that nowadays hooks spawn quite close together.
-
- No DCs
- Fair and fun Killer
- A lot of Bloodpoints
- No Clown / Spirit (This is just a personal thing, I hate them both)
- Good teammates
- A good and competent Killer that actually knows how to chase Survivors
Yeah I guess that's it.

Yeah , these two have been there since September 2016.
However there never was an offering with them. This offering is new.
No, this offering was in the game files for a long time. I'm sorry but I doubt it's the offering for a new map, especially since there's nothing about Ghostface in the gamefiles.
-
Here.
This is called - iconPowers_detention
This is - iconPerks_underperform
So, don't get your hopes up.
-
That icon was in the gamefiles for god knows how long. It's been there like legit forever, along with a teacher power and an icon for something called Underperform.
Probably a scrapped Killer.
-
It shouldn't have exhaustion tbh. Mainly because it's extremely situational and inconsistent.
I'd put it on like a 30 second cooldown.
-
-Ruin is not OP, but that doesn't mean it's not annoying, I personally don't care much because I just work through it, but when your entire team waste so much time looking for it, it sucks.
-A good Nurse is unbeatable. That is a fact. Everybody knows this.
-Devour Hope is pretty uncommon, so I don't know why that's on the list. Just watch out for the totems next time.
-Moris overall are unfun and toxic.
-Killers who camp and use NOED are very common, and yes, it is frusturating as all hell. But, if they're camping/tunneling when the gates are opened, I can understand that.
-Plague isn't OP, however, that statement is pretty true. You can just spray as her and you'll most likely hit someone.
-BBQ and Chili is counterable. If it's annoying for you to hop in a locker, you can hide behind a gen or run for a few seconds and then change directions.
-Yup, happens a lot. I don't care that Ruin is in the game. If I'm in a chase, do a fuqing generator, please.
Not once did this guy say that something is OP, so idk why are you people attacking him this much.
-
I love the over exaggeration.
"Boohoo, every game is against MoM, DH, Deliverance, Adrenaline and DS"
That is pure bull-#########. I have seen so many players run off meta perks, more than players who run meta. And yes, this is at Red Ranks.
You are NOT chained to the Billy / Nurse. Believe it or not, people don't play with MoM 99% of the time.
With that said, I'm not saying the devs shouldn't nerf it or adjust it, I'm just saying y'all are making it seem like it's impossible to play the game.
-
I still use Self-Care because it's always nice to have it.
I play solo mostly and I really don't want to rely on teammates, because most of them are potatoes.
Many times, this perk has saved my life and many times it has been completely useless.
I'd rather waste 30 seconds to heal myself to full health instead of going down in 15 seconds in a chase because I'm injured.
-
My favourite Survivor maps are the OG ones. Autohavens, Coldwinds, Macmillans and Crotus Prenn Asylum.
Most DLC maps are complete trash. Nice to look at, but the gameplay is horrible imo.
-
The Phone's Ringing
Activatable Perk
After hitting a Survivor 2 times, you can activate this perk and it will reveal the Survivor's position every time their phone rings. The Survivor's phone rings every 15/10/5 seconds for 35 seconds. This effect cannot be activated on multiple Survivors at once and it has a 180/120/90 second cooldown after their phone stops ringing.
EDIT: This perk has a limited range. 16 meters/24 meters/36 meters, if you are standing further away, you cannot trigger it.

A story mode would be awesome, and I would play the ######### outta that. Though I see it would take alot of work to do that.
All I personally want is being able to walk on the maps without being in an online match. Kind of like a sandbox mode? Just roaming free, and enjoying the details of the maps, practise loops, blinks as Nurse, curving as Billy etc etc. I always do that kind of stuff when the game is practically done, but not over yet, like (before the EGC) last survivor looking for hatch, last surv striuggling on hook, etc. But that time is limited.
I know that Kill Your Friends exists, but I dont have friends ._.
This. This. This. This. This. This. This.
There's so much detail and stuff I would love to check out without having to bother my friends. Can't we just start a KYF game all alone?
Story mode? Yes, please!

Im not saying this patch is survivor sided.
But I still hate the pig nerf.
Because it destroy a complete playstyle and pig was low-mid tier.
Do you think I want fight vs Nurse in every game?
Pig High rank would be great.
I'm not saying you're saying it, but stop saying that Survivors are crybabies when CLEARLY even Killers cry.
I agree, I don't see the point to nerf Pig, but yelling and hating the devs for it isn't gonna do much.
-
Killers:
Ugh, survivor sided patch
EGC is useless (even tho its not supposed to help you KILL)
Only killer nerfs
Devs only listen to survivors
Stop talking trash about one side when the other does the same.

:( I'm sorry.
-
They made them specifically for you @Detective_Jonathan @NMCKE and @PyroDude since you guys are probably the only ones who main Tapp. Lul. They look pretty cool.
-
In this thread, you can find the big difference between normal Killer Mains and Killer Mains who can never stop complaining on the forums. Just saying. *cough cough*
-
Here's mine. Again, this is *my* opinion on perks.
-
Clown and Spirit.
Why?
Clown - is a 115% killer that can slow down movement speed and vaulting. Who thought this was a good idea? Oh, you want to loop him? Well, too bad, he threw a bottle of gas next to you, that means you have 2 options: a) leave the loop and pray that there's a loop nearby, otherwise you get hit, b) try to loop with the gas and get hit.
Spirit - You don't have Iron Will? Welp, see ya. You're dead.
-
As someone who hates camping and tunneling, I resort to this only when the exit gates are powered. It's logical to secure your kill, it makes sense.
But, of course, if you are trying to be an A-hole to me when I'm playing Killer, you're not going to have fun once I down you.
-
The EGC isn't supposed to help you kill. It's there for Survivors to get out as fast as they can. It's up to them if they save their friends after it started, but they have limited time to do so.

Everything that makes flashlight blinds fun is unfun for killers.
Everything that makes pallet stuns fun is unfun for killers.
Everything that makes gen rush fun is unfun for killers.
Everything that makes Claudette fun is unfun for killers.
Everything that makes Adrenaline fun is unfun for killers.
Can you see why there might be a problem when you use "unfun" as a reason to completely butcher the game? In a PvP game in particular, everything that's fun for one side is unfun for the other; that's just the nature of PvP.
Flashlight blinds are counterable.
Pallet stuns can be baited / completely countered by Enduring. Not to mention Survivors get mostly hit through them anyway.
Gen rush is a whole another topic. Currently the only thing that can somewhat counter it is Ruin. But I do agree that is a problem.
Claudette is unfun only on some maps imo.
Adrenaline is not always used as a crutch in a chase. Stop making it seem like it happens every game.
The difference? Legion had no counters.
"JuSt SpReAd OuT" is one thing. What should I do against a Legion that is moonwalking, looking at the ground so my timer goes down etc. ?
-
What @Brady said.
Legion is a failure. A big one.
Honestly, at this point they should just rework him and give him a full overhaul like Freddy.
-
The amount of times it activated while I was injured and being in a chase is a single digit number.
Stop making it seem like it happens every game, k thx.
-
"The devs fixed Legion, fixed his bugs and exploits, fixed moonwalking and made him counterable? I'm quitting this game forever. The devs are obviously survivor-sided."
*sigh*

They shouldn’t ignore their other characters though.
What about Jake, Jane, David, or Adam?
David is kinda popular so I would expect new cosmetics for him.
Jake literally has the least cosmetics out of the other characters (46 only if you’re on console).
Underrated characters need love too.
I'm sure they aren't ignoring them, but they are definitely prioritizing the most popular characters.
Jake, Jane, David and Adam are all getting new cosmetics soon. They were teased a while ago, you can find it somewhere on the forums.
-
It's logic. Of course the devs are going to give more love to characters that are played the most.
There's so many people who play as Meg or Claudette, so they get a lot of love from the devs.
Best way to make money.
