Lately as a killer i havent had as much fun. Mostly due to the toxicity from the survivors. Feels like the game is full of arseholes at the moment. every other game you get someone saying something nasty or doing something nasty
I find summer time is when the game is in decline ^^" School will be back soon and the little gremlins will not be on 24/7.
-
I think the killers do that when they are frustrated. Who knows right? Maybe you cleansed their hex? Had a long chase? Pallet stunned them? Hid too much?
People take a lot of stuff personally in this game. I wouldn't worry about it ^^

If you say so lmao. You could think before replying though lol
What?
You are saying as last person on hook you should have a chance like it was back in the day because you could have Deliverance and DS. All I am saying is I think it was changed because it is kind of game over at that point.

It's not ok. The killer can take you hostage, slugged until the end game collapse is done, but as survivor you are obligated to die on first hook immediately if you are the last survivor alive. It's very stupid.
Take game hostage = no way for game to end. Bleeding out is not taking game hostage.
As for being the last survivor dying on hook I do not know why this was changed. My guess is because at that point the killer has won. Everyone else is dead and you got caught. If you popped off hook, DS, and then got hatch it would be frustrating for the killer. Maybe that is why it was changed?

Well, if you are the last survivor, you will still be killed by the hook instantly even though you still have 3 attempts to unhook yourself. So this logic doesn't work.
The example above make its sound like the survivor has been left to bleed out on the ground and op is asking why egc doesn't just end and kill them. I gave him reasons why.
Yes of course if you pick up that last survivor and hook them their dead.
The point is that there are so many factors to consider you just can't simply have egc kill the last survivor outright.
-
1. Survivors could have Unbreakable or Soul Guard to pop back up. Killing them just because they are down and egc has started would be bad if they didn't get to use perks meant exactly for that situation.
2. If someone went out by key leaving 2 with a closed hatched that would be pretty unfair for them to have to keep doing gens. Their 1 teammate just messed them over.
-
High risk, high reward baby! Some people enjoy that play style ^^

Precisely; NOED doesn't reward bad killers, it punishes negligent survivors.
I also think Noed is hated on so much because people have the mind set that all 5 gens done = match over killer lost. So when they get hit with noed they feel cheated.
That is also wrong though. Just like totems are to survivors, gens are to killers. They are part of the objective sure, but the killer can still have had an epic match even with all 5 gens done. Their job is to kill at the end of the day.
Plus if all 5 gens being completed equaled a fail for the killer then have end game killer perks would make zero sense.
Just more of my thoughts on good old Noed ^^
-
1. Maybe 1 in 10 games (rank 5-3 btw).
2. Hardly ever :P
3. Yes!!!!! I make it my goal to get all 5 totems every match. I bring DH or a map ^^
-
When I play killer headphones are a must for me ^^ Grass rustling, breathing, knowing if a gen is being completed at a distance, people slowly getting into lockers, survivors touching my totems >:( All of these I only catch with my headphones on.
-
I don't run BT but I do take that protection hit and try to get the killer to chase me instead. Hiding after an unsafe unhook is a bad play ;_;
You did nothing wrong. Killer is always the target for everyone's frustrations.
On a happier note I hope you enjoy the Twins ^^ They are one of my favs!
-
Yes! Trapper is my most played killer ^^
Maybe every 3rd game or so I get 2-3 people trapped in a short window of time. Never underestimate well placed traps ^^
That being said I have had multi survivors land in traps only to get out on the first try ;_; painful!
-
Hmmm good question!
I always go after the most obvious target. So if I lost sight of Claudette and Nea was still there I would go for her. Not because of the stun but because what else am I going to do.
-
Nope you are not breaking any rules ^^ If I go all game and there is no killer... 90% of the time its basement Bubba. Any seasoned player should know this and you are just giving them a life lesson.
Keep doing god's work basement Bubba ♡♡♡♡ God speed!

Monsterous Shrine? Lol Do you like that perk or actually use it in the match? Thats pretty scary because if your around basement and someone is getting so desperate to survive that they have to go to the basement to look for a med kit then... that Monsterous Shrine value! )

Undying Devour Hope! So good or at least has potential to be really good.

So survivors typically cant blind you (considering you actually run these perks often) and if they have items or a key they're bodied. You also play and or like a perk that gives you extra mobility end game with NOED should they choose not to cleanse totems all game, nice!

Hoarder! Lets have taht information shall we, haha. You seem to like and or play pretty fun perks.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2455487#Comment_2455487
Bloodhound! I think i've seen someone use that 1 time in a match. Do you play with Bloodhound or just like it?
Blood Hound is one of the best tracking perks (imo). More often then not it leads me straight to healing survivors I wouldn't have known were there. On top of that I find it is a solid counter to Iron Will which I see at least 2 survivors have every match.
Why rely on sound when I can just use the big glowing red puddles ^^
I use it mostly with Trapper and the Bloody Coil. Survivors snap my trap, get injured, and then its very easy to find them after that ^^
-
Nope! The game isn't over until everyone is dead or escaped the trail.
I will throw out there that I think a lot of people think that the killer lost if all 5 gens are done, hence the hate for noed. That is not true tho. Match isn't over until the survivors leave the trial ^^
-
I wish we could see the stats but I bet female outfits sell a lot more than the male ones ^^ Hence, we see more female outfits. This could be because more people main females but I am not sure on that. My lobbies are pretty 50/50.
Also want to point out all the cosmetic contest winners have been female survivors as well. Feng, Caludette, and now Eoldie.
I would like to see more love for the boys of the fog.

This is mainly because as average casual players we were matched against other average casual players. There was no sweat, no explicitly competitive approach to the game, just playing against a similarly skilled rival. The problem when we remove that system is that we start to get opponents that are either way above or below our league.
When you get matched to someone that's clearly better than you, it's never fun. You don't stand a chance, you know it and the other player knows it too. So you are just there at their mercy to try to see how many BPs you can rescue from this already lost match. In my opinion, the main opposition to this new system comes from people that were all of a sudden matched against other people at their level instead of lower-ranked opponents.
Oh 100%
This is doubly felt playing killer now. With SBMM I was having the chillest time as killer. Avrg 2 kills, matches last a decent time, good back and forth.... now... now I am back in killer hell. I am rank 9 and going against the red bully squads again ;_;
Feels bad sometimes but I enjoy killer too much to stop. I got the sweet taste is SBMM and I pray it comes back.
-
@miketheratguy said:
I understand that everyone has had very different experiences with the game over the last few weeks. All I can say is that during the SBMM test I had the most pleasant time playing this game that I've had in the five months that I've owned it. I go for relatively relaxed, "enjoyably balanced" (as opposed to aggressively competitive) games and during those few days of the test, that's exactly what I got.
That was my experience too ^^
-
Don't listen to other people ;_; This game brings out the worst in some.
My motto is you gotta do what you gotta do. Make calls you feel are best for your match.
Saying gg and moving on is the best thing you can do ^^ There is no making people happy in this game as killer. Trust me, I try all the time. Even when I play a perfect match (iridescence across the board) I get called and camper and tunneler and get hate. So at the end of the day follow the game rules and have fun ^^ Clearly not what your opponents were doing sadly.
-
Hmmm I dont think so. Still a meh effect for a hex.
Honestly, the only thing I think that will make Blood Favor and Crowd Control worthy of hex status is if the 2 perks were combined. Right now they are both mediocre and not worth the risk of using them.
-
Depends. Was it a good match? Was the survivor respectful? Did I fulfill my challenge?
If no to any of those then, nope. Survivor going right back on dat hook ^^
-

Oooo fun idea!
Hmmm I guess I will go with Dead Man's Switch since I am learning Slinger right now.
I would change it so the person who does the uhnooking becomes the obsession, giving the killer a new target to go after!
-
That mentality in real life? No its horrible and sadly it is becoming a movement these days ;_;
That mentality in a video game? Yah it fine. People can play how they want.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but streamers get a ton of people going into their streams to rant to them about camping, tunneling, perk selection, etc... and streamers don't have to put up with it. Its pretty lame going into someone stream to release frustration.
So this streamer is probably tired of people like your friend moaning about xyz and boils it down to 'I can play how I want go away', and they are not wrong. They can play how they want.
People are responsible for their own emotions. This includes happiness. If a video game makes mad then put it down and walk away ^^ That would be my advice to your friend.

Wholesome post ♡
Congrats on your new job ^^

i'm not a sheep and not good in folowing bs rules.....the dc penalty is bs like op stated, so is behaviour's behaviour with adressing the main reason why people dc....and you call it ragequit, we cal it....im not gonna play with complete idiots,
the fact is that a company should not have the power to decide how you use or not use the product you bought and so do none of you.
the only thing they made sure of is that i and many others will never spend a sinle penny to all company's involved with this game
DBD is a multiplayer game. When you login to play you are interacting with 4 other people who also bought the same product. Multi-player games have rules and guidelines to protect the community and keep the game healthy.
By buying DBD you are agreeing with the rules and community guidelines. It is as simple as that. Disconnecting multiple times (for whatever reason) is against the rules. People are not sheep because they are following the rules. They just want to play a game in peace.
We have seen first hand what no DC penalty does. It makes this game unplayable for everyone. Without a DC penalty no one would play because what is the point of a multi-player game if people dip out every match?
-
Not a bad suggestion but I don't feel noed needs a change. It does what it does well and it is super easy to counter.
-
Solid code of conduct my dude ^^
I admit, I shake and spin around a lot but that is me goofing with the survivors... which I do more then I should ^^" If people are down to clown I am all for it.
My own personal rule as killer:
- if someone DC or is afk I will let the other 3 go. Match really isn't fun when that happens.
- if people are good sports then the last survivor gets hatch.
- boop the snoot = you live ♡

entitled.
You posted in a discussion forum. Of course you are going to get other people's opinions that either agree or disagree with your point... thats how it works lol! It doesn't make people entitled because they decided to engage with you. If you gonna open up a discussion prepare for opposing point of views. Its not a bad thing!
DC or encouraging DC is against the rules. Plain and simple. Saying the DC penalty is harsh is silly. Its suppose to be harsh to discourage it ^^"
-
Doesn't matter how you see this game. It is a multi-player game meaning when you hit ready you are telling 4 other people you are here to play.
If you can't be a good sport, then you shouldn't be allowed to play. That simple.
Entity bless the DC penalty. I only wish serial DCers would be banished to the shadow realm to play with their own kind ^^
-
I like the first one.
That being said I don't like the mentality that a killer has to do back flips to have a decent perk... and with a hex none the less. This whole 'the killer must EARN' a perk is silly. On top of that people keep forgetting the whole point of hexes. They are high risk/high reward because they are attached to totems.
Here is the thing, I am not against changing noed. However you can't make it a hex, end game perk, and have conditions. That is ridiculous.

Not even close. Devour Hope is one of the worst, most outdated and unhealthy perks in the game.
Why do you think its unhealthy?
I think its healthy because it encourages the killer to get away from hook and it takes time to build up. Gives survivors lots of time to find the hex and if they dont the killer get rewarded big time.

I don't like devour hope. High risk moderate reward.
Ok scrap it my comment op. This one dude doesn't like it.

I love Amanda so much. That being said I think her power and add-ons both need a do-over.
In today DBD rng just doesn't cut it. It is both frustrating for the killer and survivors. Map rng combined with box rng makes Amanda feel very hit or miss and that is never fun to play as or against.
You are right. Tampered Timer combined with the gears is stupidly strong, but it is the only way to make her rbt a threat. Standalone they are joke and no one takes them seriously.
I would really like Amanda's kit to be changed. The crouch, the lunge, the boxes, rbt, all of it! Don't get me wrong, like I said I really love playing her but she is sorely out matched by a lot of other killers ;_; Having to rely on TT and a big map for her power to have any bite is silly. I wonder if the devs can even doing anything about her since she is not their ip.

Devour Hope is the best example of a good killer perk ^^

It's in this topic, which was, overall, a very amusing read
I asked him directly what it means but with my quick skim I am guessing it means 'using perks that should be base kit'?
Sorry if I am slow ^^" I am genuinely curious about other people's opinion on the game.
Back to this topic tho: I am not a very good player but as long as I play about 4 evening a week I get to red ranks quite easily. I have only been to rank 1 a few times but that was me playing a TON. Getting those pips are pretty easy if u simply do a bit of everything. Yah there are bad matches were you get a dc or bad teammates but playing a lot counters that hahaha.
I usually play a totem hunting build or a 'save my teammates' build and that has been enough to get me to red ranks constantly ^^ I know people find them fun but the meta perks are overrated imo. If you play smart they are not even needed and you 100% don't need it to get to red.

Given your load out and the fact that you're saying you cleanse all 5 totems at times (I do, sometimes, too :3 ), I'd hate to see what that guy that's been talking about the 'perk tax' all day would think about people reaching R1 using whatever they want to use and not the 'mandatory' DS/BT/UB/DH builds.
Guess my pal that grinds to R1 perkless every other month is going to Perk Tax Prison T_T
Oh man you are gonna have to catch me up! Do you have a link to this perk tax business?

I've said this more than once.
One side says "This game is for CASUAL PARTIES!!!!" (Break out the suds!)
the other side says "This game is HARDCORE COMPETITIVE SPORTS" (Gets out the team jersey)
So the thing is... You can't please everyone or anyone for that matter. So a "best of both worlds" is a PEACEFUL resolve to this. Which I would say is; Either a 2-mode design which one mode OFFERS Competitive mode with Strict penalties for abandonment of a match and a penalty to ranking, and the other mode being Casual unranked play (but still have some MMR to abilities)
While the other option is the Rank reflecting how much a person participates and chooses to "bail" on matches.
So that way folks are ALL welcome here to play DEAD BY DAYLIGHT! and keep this game ALIVE! 😎
God I wish this was the case ^^
-
I find info perks as solo are the most valuable.
My only advice is play lots and play smart ^^ I run Spine Chill, Bond, and Detective's Huntch a lot. My general goal each match is:
- 2 gens
- At least 2 totems but I tend to get all 5 ^^
- 2 safe unhooks with heals (We'll Make It really makes this a breeze if you stuggle with this part)
- 2 solid chases with the killer (this is usually where I fail and if I don't get this done its a safety pip) ;_;
-
Just wanna make sure we all get out ;_; If I'm being chased hommies better be doing them gens.
-
Ima Claudette main and Bond is usually part of my loadout specifically so I can NOT take the killer to gens being worked on ^^"
