I don't feel like Scratched Mirror falls into this category, cause it isnt nescesarily just making your power worse, it's completely changing the playstyle, which I think is fun. If Myers had an addon that have him bonus BP for stalking, but he stalked survivors slower as a result, that would be an addon that falls into this category.

    I mean... they are similar.

Scratched Mirror gives a downside, a BP boost, and an upside.

These things give a downside, a BP boost... and that's it. If they all got buffed to also give an upside, it would be fantastic.

Like... take Trapper's Padded Jaws. If those things made it so disarm and escape times were doubled but Trapper couldn't yoink people out of traps and Trapper hitting survivors freed them, they'd be quite interesting. A playstyle shift instead of a flat downgrade.

Or this new one... if it allowed Demo to also target Generators but put his ability on cool down at the start... you could argue that that'd be too close to what Freddy does, but it would be an interesting trade off.

This looks more like a grey addon. Not a red one. I mean, common red addons usually are game changers. Like Syringes.

It is a bit of a gamechanger though?

At the moment if Huntress runs out of hatchets mid chase, she has 2 options and neither is good.

    1. break chase and reload.
    2. chase as a 4.4 m1 killer.

This new iri Add On allows Huntress to continue the chase as a 4.6 m1 Killer which matters a whole lot more than you might think. Especially if the Survivors don't realize you have it and get greedy with their looping. Honestly as a Brown/Grey, there'd be almost no reason to not run it.

  • I would be OK with them... if they had another, different significant upside.

Like Scratched Mirror. It full on disables gaining stalk and tiering up but gives BP. BUT it also gives the strongest aura reading in the game so it is an interesting trade off you can make. Vanity Mirror could also be really interesting if it didn't make Myers slower (seriously why does it make him slower?).

If all the farming add ons did stuff like that I'd honestly love them. As it stands they're just terrible and pointless. At least Clown's farming add on is harmless.

  • Yeah... most of the new OoO I'm fine with. I do not like that they added the increased repair/healing/cleansing speed part. Half the reason OoO needed to be changed was because it encouraged the Killer to tunnel the user out of the game because having a Survivor constantly aware of you could be crippling. Now it will encourage tunneling because the Killer now knows that that Survivor is more of a threat than any of the others.

So... we went from one reason to tunnel to another. Great job.

Give you the upvote but yeah she didn't say anything rude. Just the intention with her perks and offering shows toxicity to me. It'd be like me coming in to harass her with a flashlight in a SWF and failing.

That doesn't look like a toxic build to me. That looks like a "I recently got Spirit and am running the best stuff I've got" build. Sure it features a lot of exposed effects, but that's kinda how Spirit's teachables work. Add in NOED which is close to the only good perk from the Killer base set and one singular teachable from a free killer...

Yeah that 100% reads as a player who's brand new to Spirit.

Edit: I was thinking that the only thing that was a bit toxic was the Green Mori... but now that I think about it a bit more... this game is probably the result of someone who has Spirit but never plays her getting the "Kill someone by your hand as Spirit" daily.

  • There are no good regression perks that can be gotten with just BP.

  • @Danoobiel said:

I'm still baffled to see that they are keeping the recoil, the Laceration decay and the 110% movement speed.

At this rate, it will be 2025 before this guy gets into B tier.

Also, will the continuous slowdown from 110% to 62% movement speed while throwing knives still be a thing?

As long as that is there, plus survs getting spring burst on knives injury, he will still have a terrible time catching up to people. That's enough to put half of the map between the killer and the surv.

His addons need to be looked at too. ATM the moment there's like... two that are worth anything. Bouncy Blades and 14 instead of 16 knives to down. I can't believe I just typed "14 instead of 16". 10 would still be, like, a lot.

To answer your question about the continuous slowdown from throwing knives... It sort of still exists. However it is significantly less of a slowdown. After Tuesday it'll start at 96% and gradually fall to 92%.

  • Definitely not.

Firstly having 24 different Survivor Survivor perks you may need to play around would be a headache and a half

Secondly, I have a list of 3 Survivor perks that I personally think are incredibly unhealthy for the game. Adrenaline, Prove Thyself, and Spine Chill. Thankfully with Survivors only having 4 perk slots, they frequently don't get brought over the more meta perks. With 6 slots, we'd see those significantly more often and it would absolutely suck.

  • I'd be interested to see how a killer kind of like that would function.

I can't imagine such a killer would be popular cause playing that killer with randoms would be terrible... but I could see it being a blast with a friend.

Yeah true with lithe it can be done a lot easier. But tbh doing it mid chase would be really difficult unless you also have quick and quiet which is 3 perks or you have someone else to distract and help. Guess it could be abused by SWFs

To be fair, any Head On play is difficult to pull off. The issue here is that regardless of how difficult it is or how many perks it needs, successfully pulling it off would rob the killer of so much time, pressure, and momentum that it simply wouldn't be OK for 1 lone survivor to be able to do it. There's a reason why all the Survivor perks that can just give you extra distance mid chase are tied to the shared cool down called Exhaustion. Being able to pull off any 2 of them in a single chase would be insane. Its already frequently difficult to get a down before the first gen pops.

First of all that’s using 2 perk slots for 1 manoeuvre to lose a chase, killers lose survivors mid chase all the time.

Second it’s not really possible unless you 99 the sprint burst, or you’re just memeing around waiting for the killer.

2 perk slots to make the Killer lose probably half a gen per survivor on gens? Possibly the entire game? Seems like a good trade to me.

99ing Sprint Burst is a very real possibility. However, it doesn't require a 99'd Sprint Burst. In the vast majority of cases lockers are in tiles that have windows so you could just run Lithe instead and get basically the same effect. Stun the killer, get to the window for free then take off with 3s of 150% move speed.

If you are the Killer's first chase and he can't find another person ASAP, that's potentially a game winning play right there.

  • @Mugombo said:

I don’t think the OP means it shouldn’t have a cooldown, but more why is the cooldown based on exhaustion rather than just a timed cooldown.

Because Head On into Sprint Burst would be ridiculous? At that point the Killer has 100% lost you or will spend another 30 seconds just getting close enough to threaten you again.

  • After he gets his buffs on Tuesday, I think the only problem left would be not being able to save your Main Event. He's already got some stuff about him that is pretty great and the buffs he's getting make them even better.

  • Ok... so firstly Trickster already has some slated buffs and they look far better than these.

Second... if Trickster hits you with 7 knives and leaves... between the CD on laceration delay + the rate of decay means that that 4+ stack penalty will result in you being unable to do gens for ~32 seconds. There's nothing you can do to make it faster. You're not even doing anything to make it go down in the first place. Its just a bar that you have to just sit and wait for it to go down past the 4 charges point. Does that sound fun to you? Even a little?

  • Payday 2 has a Trapper mask. So it is entirely possible it might happen in other games.

Smash Bros specifically though? I seriously doubt it. They almost exclusively have Nintendo characters. The only exceptions are characters that are undeniably huge icons in gaming.

  • That very strongly depends on which Killer I'm playing... but I have a tendency to make builds based around spreading injuries around and making not healing a terrible idea.

If I'm on Legion, Frenzy Deep Wounds and Thanatophobia. After I get several Frenzy stabs and a down, I then kick a Gen and inform the Survivors that I have Trail of Torment and neglecting to heal is... probably not in their best interest since I am now budget Ghost Face. Then I catch out heal parties with Nurse's Calling + M&A/Trail.

If I'm on Myers, I stay in Tier 1 for a... possibly uncomfortably long time and use Surveillance and Nurse's Calling to ambush stationary Survivors along with Sloppy and Oppression to buy me additional time. Yes T1 Myers is slower than average, but closing the distance on a Survivor at a rate of 4.2 m/s is significantly quicker than doing so at a rate of 0.6 m/s. This is map dependent, but when it works, it works beautifully.

As Deathslinger, he already makes not healing a really bad idea. So... add Sloppy and 3 Perks that can tell me where people are mid chase. If one goes off and I've speared and stabbed someone so they're injured and deep wounded, I leave them. Oh also Tinkerer. Believe me... you do not want to be injured on a Gen and have an undetectable Deathslinger step around the corner.

  • Playing slightly off Meta... both Perks and Killer wise can actually be very very strong. Sometimes even stronger than playing the Meta. Why? Well what happens if your opponents come armed to the teeth with DS, UB, BT, Etc... then you activate exactly zero of those perks? They're almost playing without perks at that point. Also depending on how much of a curveball you throw your opponents, they might have zero clue how to play against what you're doing and you just roll them.

Most people I've seen basically trash talk and call anything that isn't THE meta, garbage.

  • I was going back and forth on Shrouds or Mist but went with Shrouds.

Mist offerings are worthless and need to be taken out but Shrouds are even worse because most of them actively hurt the side that brings them.

  • I am approximately 90% certain that Tinkerer doesn't remove Freddy's lullaby. Just like it doesn't remove Huntress's hum.

  • I'm pretty excited to be honest. Before his release, I saw promise for him as a faster, more relentless Huntress with a side of Myers. His numbers were a bit too low for that to quite work out for him though. However the speed boost alone is looking real good and means Trickster gives Survivors a lot less distance on him when he uses his power.

Seriously, this buff is cutting the initial speed difference between Knife Trickster and the Survivors in half and it just gets so much better from there as you spam them. Current Trickster can lose up to a full meter per second of speed as he throws knives and buffed Trickster will only lose up to 0.18 meters per second. I am pretty sure Trickster's going to be much better after those buffs.

  • uh... you got a pretty terrible assortment of perks there. If you don't want to go for the end game build, I'd recommend Rancor, Devour Hope, Dragon's Grip, and... Cruel Limits? Maybe?

  • Oh boy... um... well... This is intriguing. I'm going to go through all the Killers I play and see which ones I'm still willing to play.

Honestly I'd probably have to drop Legion if this happened. Yeah Discordance is good but what Legion really needs from their perks is either slowdown or more chase power and those don't exist in the base Killer set.

I'd actually probably play more Deathslinger. I already load him down with perks that can track other Survivors mid chase and play him as a sort of ranged Legion who has better chase. Between his perks and the base set, I can 100% still do that. Sloppy, Gearhead, Hex Retribution, Hex Thrill of the Hunt should be reasonably functional.

Pig? hah, no. Pig almost needs M&A for her stealth to function. I ain't playing her without it.

Myers... I honestly don't know. Probably not. My favorite way to play him has him stay in Tier 1 for way too long and that build doesn't really function without Surveillance and Nurse's.

Pyramid Head very much depends on how badly I'd miss I'm All Ears. Running him with Spies, Death Bound, Trail of Torment, and Sloppy Butcher sounds like it could work pretty well.

Trapper. No. I'm not going back to playing him without Corrupt.

Demo. I probably would still play Demo. Demo's kind of a jack of all trades so I'm not sure what I'd give him. Probably Surge every time cause it's a good perk and slowdown is in short supply in the base set.

I don't play them much now, but I might end up playing more Twins. I really really like Oppression and playing them is the only way to have it.

I hope your right. I like the character and he is the only one I can't hold rank with. Main event need to be useable or removed. Maybe the spread/recoil helps make it more useful though and proc in better situations. This wasn't what I was looking for in his buff but I will def check it out when it drops. Hopefully one day the trickster will actually be the masterpiece we were told he would be.

I think I am. PWYF gives a 0.2 m/s buff per stack and even 1 stack makes a huge difference during looping. Buffed Trickster with knives out compared to current Trickster is nearly getting a permanent 1 stack of PWYF that kinda ramps up to 3 stacks over the course of throwing 16 knives. Like it could very well end up being kind of silly how much less distance he's going to lose on Survivors when he throws knives.

That does assume that his speed decrease is linear with the number of knives he's thrown but I think it is.

Also, I'm not surprised that his movespeed while throwing add ons are getting nerfed with this change. With this buff and the current ones, he'd be just barely faster than Survivors for the entirety of Main Event.

  • @Canas said:

These buffs are completely missing the mark. As long as he's stuck with 110% movespeed there's literally no reason to pick him over Huntress or Deathslinger. He's forced to hit 8 projectiles to do the same thing as these two other killers who can deal immediate damage with just one hit. All he'll excel at is wasting his own time and getting genrushed. Also why can't he still store his own power (Main Event)? This is flatout terrible.

I disagree. Trickster is obviously supposed to be a faster, lightweight version of Huntress. Him getting changed so he goes between 96% -> 92% movement while throwing knives instead of 92% -> 67% is probably going to be huge and matches that perfectly. Especially since movement speed in this game is everything.

I don't know why he still can't store Main Event though. That would have been nice.

it says from 1 to 1.25. meaning it's being nerfed. read.

Yeah... I realized that a few minutes after I posted.

This is what I get for staying up until 2:30 AM.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    • Increased wind down grace period from 1 second to 1.25 seconds

    why

that's so dumb. like that just doesn't matter. why nerf that.

mostly good changes but they're still being overly cautious because they have no idea what to do with him.

    That's a buff my dude.

To reword that... if/when you decide to put your knives away, it'll take 1 second to go back to moving at 110% and being able to swing your bat instead of 1.25 seconds. That by itself isn't a large buff, but it is a buff.

Edit: Ignore me... I just realized I read it backwards. Yeah idk why they nerfed that either.

  • Trickster needs a bit of a buff. I do however really like what he is conceptually. A lightweight Huntress with a power burst a la Myers is definitely intriguing... they just undershot his strength.

Having a map with similar theming as the main menu would have been great. Bit of a missed opportunity there. I have heard that they might circle back and add one though. Here's hoping.

Other than that, the chapter has been pretty great.

Getting leatherface and grinding him for bbq is the requirement. Its either buy the dlc or farm the shards for a little bit neither one takes that long lol.

Did you just conveniently forget that Bubba is a licensed killer? Aka can only be gotten with Auric Cells or purchasing the DLC? Outside of insane luck with the Shrine, you ain't getting BBQ and Chili without paying additional real money. Brand new players aren't going to pony up more irl money before they know if they like the game and they're going to hit that massive difficulty spike I was talking about before then.

    Your solution is not valid.

That also still ignores the fact that a brand new Killer would need to scrape together 13k Iri Shards if they're stupidly lucky and 27k if they aren't. Survivors don't need any Iri Shards to get really solid builds. Just BP. And their BP generation perk is free.

These are just straight up the facts. It is way easier to get a nearly meta build as Survivor than it is Killer. I really don't understand why you are trying to claim otherwise.

  • They need a button to drop Victor without taking control of him. They need a button to call Victor back to Charlotte when he's just standing around somewhere. With any luck, that extra flexibility will make them less dependent on camping and slugging. Now don't get me wrong, they are crazy good at doing that... but right now they're kind of a 1 trick pony and that pony is ugly.

  • If this was Blizzard, there'd probably be a lot more than just one character who was borderline deleted through "reworks".

  • Oh, I've got one. My 2k, 1 hook Deathslinger game.

As you may have guessed, it started off as a really really bad game. I had 1 hook by the time gens were done. However... for some reason the team fully opened one of the doors instead of 99ing them. They then got overly altruistic to get my 2nd down out and did a ton of body blocking for them. I did lose them but because I had a backpack build, they all got injured and 1 got downed (but then picked up again).

I managed to get between a broken Bill and the open Exit Gate. He finally tried to make a break for it close to EGC's end and I downed him far enough away that he couldn't crawl out in time... then I spun around and shot a Cheryl behind me in the gate who hadn't left yet. I pulled them out of the Gate and EGC ate both of them before they could get out.

  • That would be an absolutely crazy buff for the majority of Killers. I mean... that alone is what makes Tier 1 Myers a threat. Let me say that again. A 105% movespeed, no other power killer is a real threat because the Survivors hardly ever knows where he is. Giving that level of buff to the other killers would be insane.

  • None of those Killers need a full rework.

  • @just_teme said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2084940#Comment_2084940

If you get bbq first i completely disagree. Your bp gain as killer outweighs survivour so much that youll be faster in getting what you want.

You would be wrong. Not because BBQ doesn't drastically speed up your BP gains, but because a strong meta build or near meta build for Killer does NOT require only BP. Spirit with BBQ, Stridor, Pop/Ruin, Corrupt/Undying requires 500 Auric Cells, and 27k Iridescent Shards unless you get stupid lucky with the Shrine of Secrets which can push it down to 13k shards. Can you replace any of those perks with free ones? No! Why? Because the set of perks you can acquire as a Killer for only BP is pathetic.

Heck, your "solution" alone requires either 500 Auric Cells and a chunk of BP or 2k shards and the Shrine to play along. Meanwhile WGLF has always been free from David and it got a massive buff so it is a good perk even without the BP gains part.

  • Legion - Blight Skin

M&A, Thanatophobia, Nurse's Calling, Trail of Torment.

Not healing against Legion works until he turns into budget Ghost Face with Trail. Then either I pull off some easy stealth downs or they start grouping up a lot to try to heal and I catch them out and bust up their heal parties with Nurse's + M&A. It actually works really well.

  • @gibblywibblywoo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2084859#Comment_2084859

Survivor difficulty scales directly with killer players skill aswell as the killer itself. That's all. A good looper will destroy a killer who can't play tiles or red stain mindgame, against a killer who can they'll have to start taking risks and trying to figure out what the killer is more likely to do.

Sure, but unlike Survivors, it is near impossible for a Killer to get all their powerful stuff all at once.

Seriously, throwing ~2 mil BP at a fresh Survivor account can give you either DH, WGLF, BT, Unbreakable or SB, Adren, BT, Unbreakable which are both just a DS away from having a variant of the meta Survivor build... and both replaces DS with a near meta perk.

Killers can't even come close to that level of a power spike that early.

  • The Killer role has a massive difficulty spike that Survivor simply doesn't.

Here's the thing. To a beginner, basic Killer gameplay is significantly easier to grasp than basic Survivor gameplay. Killer is find a guy, chase a guy, down a guy, hook a guy, repeat. Survivor has to balance doing gens, rescuing, healing, and a lot of them do way more steath than necessary; and then there's the whole looping thing that is not obvious how to do it. So... 1 beginner Killer vs 4 beginner Survivor is probably going to be a stomp in the Killer's favor.

Now... take a few steps forward on the progression path for both roles. Survivors are learning to be more efficient, Survivors have a much easier time getting nearly a fully meta loadout via leveling Bill then Meg or David, the existence of Windows and Pallets very much hints to the whole looping thing. New Survivors have a pretty smooth path to a lot of incredibly strong power spikes. Killer on the other hand, not so much. A Beginner Killer going for a very meta build is going to need like... 9k shards for Spirit, ~$5 for Bubba for BBQ, 9k shards for Hag for Ruin or Clown for pop, 9k shards for Blight for Undying or Plague for Corrupt, then a whole lot of BP for Spirit, Bubba, Hag/Clown, Blight/Plague, and Nurse for Stridor. Then as far as pure gameplay skills, they'll need to learn to accurately predict Survivor behavior and learn how to mindgame and moonwalk. None of those skills are super obvious.

Dominating game after game after game then suddenly running face first into the Survivor's easy to aquire power spikes is not really a good time. I would suspect that a lot of killer players don't stick around long enough to get the skills and perks necessary to fight back.

He needs a rework of something that makes his power feel "tricky", throwing knives and spamming them doesn't make him feel like he's tricking you. I'd have to do a whole lot of brainstorming to figure out a rework for Trickster that would actually make him good, atm don't really have a clue of what kind of new power I would give him.

To be honest though, you're thinking of the wrong kind of trick. If you think about Trickster in the light of Yo yo tricks, skateboard tricks, and so forth, his name actually does fit what he is. Not all tricks involve deception. I'll admit I didn't immediately see that connection either, but it is there.

  • I don't know why. Cows are cute and running across random cute animal pictures is a good time.

  • Awww, is this why I haven't ran into any random cow pictures recently? That's really unfortunate. I quite liked those.

  • Legion is a fantastic killer. They are the first Killer I got outside the free ones, and I still love to play as them.

I'd say they're only problem is that M1ing eats half his power bar. Still no idea why it does that.

  • Honestly, Myers is very underrated. He is however rather map dependant. If he's not on a map with a reasonable amount of LoS blockers he's going to struggle because he won't be able to properly take advantage of Tier 1 being permanently Undetectable or Tier 2's half size terror radius.

  • So... on the surface, yes base regression looks pretty bad. However... consider the following 2 scenarios.

    1. Killer has 1 on hook, 1 in chase, 1 going for rescue, 1 doing gens. Overall, the Survivor team is gaining 1 Charge per Second.
    2. Killer has 1 on hook, 1 in chase, 1 going for rescue, 1 doing gens, but the Killer has 2 gens regressing. Overall the Survivor team is gaining 0.5 Charges per Second.

Killer #2 is using a base mechanic to literally cut the Survivor's progress in half, and if they're able to keep that pace, they'll have twice as much time to kill the Survivors as Killer #1 does. That's... really not too shabby. Not even a little shabby honestly. Now I do think gen tapping is kinda silly... but I don't hate it. It does make it so the Killer has to think about whether kicking is worth it. However, at the very minimum, Overcharge skill checks should behave like standard skill checks when Survivors let go of the gen. Overcharge needs a buff anyway and the Survivors doing skill checks via telekinesis is really dumb.

  • Just curious, where did this come from?

  • Most Killers really have no answer to a Survivor with old DS + Unbreakable who just got unhooked and plopped themselves in front of a generator. I didn't find it as egregious as some, but that's because I frequently play one of the few Killers who does have an answer. Feral Frenzy ftw.

  • My personal favorites are Legion and Myers. However, this question is incredibly subjective to your tastes. For that reason, I believe this video would help you immensely. Quick edit, this video is slightly out of date, with it not including Blight, Twins, or Trickster. Also Wraith and Clown have gotten significant buffs since this video came out.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nflN137VU5g

  • Alright. In my experience, Trickster's lethality is... actually OK, its just too easy to counter. Also Main Event more than any other part of his kit needs to be buffed. I'm taking cues from his name and the fact that tricks can also refer to performing over the top and flashy physical feats. Which is... kind of what he does. Anyway...

    1. Main Event works like Blood Fury and stays around until you use it.
    2. Main Event allows Trickster fast vault windows and pallets with a suitably over the top animation.
    3. Main Event allows the Trickster to perform a forward somersault once per activation that lets him travel 6-8m forward.
    4. The activation time and the ending cool downs for Main Event probably need to be made less punishing.
  • I wouldn't say it is. Honestly if it wasn't for him being too weak, Trickster would be an absolute fantastic addition to the game. Starstruck, No Way Out, and Hex: Crowd Control all look like interesting and potentially useful perks. The Survivor perks also look to be a mix of useful to at least interesting.

I don't even blame the Devs for undershooting his power level. Balancing a brand new character for all levels of skill is not an easy task. However, they should have buffed Trickster more coming off the PTB.

Legion and Myers are still among my favorite killers. I call Legion with Dark Devotion my Magician's Build, because I can Frenzy all 4 survivors, slug the obsession to go undetectable, and then clutch the match all at once (ta-daa!).

As I've said, I don't play ranged killers, but I'd imagine that people will find some fun tricks to pull off with our new giggly T-poser.

Maybe... but like in the case of Legion and Myers, I can easily see perks you can bring to help deal with their weaknesses and magnify their strengths.

Legion you can deal with their weaknesses in confirming downs with either the ToT or Dark Devotion route or the Endfury Bamboozle I'm All Ears route.

T1 Myers can get easy hits but can't chase, if you want to get value out of that... either instadown perks, or Sloppy + Nurses is your friend. T3 Myers can turn into a juggernaut with Infectious, Play With Your Food, and maybe Bamboozle too.

I just... what do you give Trickster perk wise to make up for Main Event having an unnecessary activation time, making him slower than Survivors, being hard countered by every wall in the game, and on top of that having a lengthy stun and locking him away from his standard knives for way too long? I honestly don't know.

I haven't bought the chapter yet, because the only killers I straight up never play are the ranged attackers (Huntress, Slinger, and now Trickster). I still enjoy playing against them though, and I figure if Trickster doesn't vanish into obscurity people will be figuring out how to use him.

I'm also weirded out that so many people on these forums are enraged by this chapter for the exclusive reason that the killer is weak. IMO it's okay for BHVR to not make every killer S tier. Especially coming off the heels of PH, Blight, and Twins, I'm absolutely fine with being given a killer who's weaker than the average. He still seems fun to me, even if I won't be playing him.

See... as someone who probably has spent way more time on the "low tier" killers than I should to see if I can make them work... most Killers have at least something they have that can royally mess up the Survivor team in the right context.

Legion's Frenzy might not look like the most impressive ability in the game, but a good set of chain hits will waste so much of the Survivor's time. Throw on Trail of Torment and you might be able to get more good chain hits even after good Survivors know you're Legion.

A lot of people say that Myer's kit is out dated and needs buffs. I don't necessarily agree. Him starting off as literally the stealthiest killer in the game and later being able to flip flop between a very tiny 16m TR and Instadowns and a crazy lunge all have their own value. I've very rarely found a Survivor team that can handle everything a Myers can throw at them in a single game.

I poured 2.5 hours into Trickster last night. Honestly I just don't see much of anything there. Against good Survivors, he's just got nothing to throw at them. Everything with his knives is too easy to counter and unlike Huntress, Plague, and Deathslinger, he can barely punish brief screw ups. Now... he actually is more lethal than Deathslinger or Huntress. I've seen it myself when playing him on the PTB and against friends who are green rank Survivors. If you stay in the open too long he can cut his way through health states far faster than they can. Heck, vs one of said friends I caught him in a large dead zone and cut through 3 health states (syptic) before he was able to get to safety. The problem is that no Red Rank Survivor will get caught out bad enough to catch 24 knives with their back. They just won't. And when they don't, he's got nothing else.

That's the difference, at least to me. Nobody is probably ever going to claim Legion or Myers is S tier, but even they seem miles better than Trickster and better equipped to handle good Survivors.
