I wonder if this is moreso a mechanic some Survivor players aren't aware of. Do you feel like it's intentional that players are hiding in the anti-camp area?
I think it has to do with how to deal with Camping. There is no strategy guides or it isnt explained in loading screens what you should do. So its easy for any Survivor to just run in without thinking about it.
Also the game gives you full points even for unsafe unhooks, so if all you cared was bloodpoints, unhooking right next to the killer is always the most profitable strategy. Its not like you get more points for playing the game in a smart manner.
You guys could easily give Survivors more points for making smarter choices, but for some reason there is a mismatch between the most profitable way to play and then smartest way that does not make your team-mates ragequit.
Why would I as a Survivor, let face-camp-meter go up and they unhook themselves when I want bloodpoints or I have a quest to unhook (safely)??? May I remind you its impossible right now to unhook unsafely because of the unhook protections.
A solution would be that: Triggering unhook protections = Unsafe Unhook.
meaning you if you care about points you want to do it safely, you could even give team-mates points for healing a person they unhooked full up as well as points for leaving the hook for healing, if the Killer came near that hook again to try to tunnel.I beg of you Balrog, consider letting score events lead to good habits for Survivors.

To be clear, I am pointing out that the poll is harsh. Does BHVR have a lot to work on with the game? Oh yes. Very much so. Killers need a lot of help and love. Too many bugs with them that need fixing.
and I am pointing out that fixing all those issues does not start with a poll, it starts with clear and good bug reports and ideas that can actually convince the developers and that can be implenented.
-
Yeah, its an rarity that Survivors actually stick around until the end games anymore.
I dont want to chase an AI Survivor who cheats by looking through walls cause the Server favors it.
3 out of 5 games 100% have a disconnect these days.
-
I dont even know how to play her anymore?
-
I think Scott had some specific problems with the original animatronics as Killers which BHVR will respect.
I think the reason we get Springtrap is because hes downright evil, a rotten to the core villainy. But I think a better idea would be to ask Scott if BHVR could design and produce Springtrap suits for Springtrap in the designs from 4 and Sister location, that being a Nightmare Springtrap and a Sister Location Springtrap Skin. Look at these designs:
Idd love 2 Skin for Springtrap that give its respect to the design philosophies to each of these two games.
One cooked up from a child's nightmare and one modern sleek animatronic.
NOT TO MENTION: We need the mask for the Matthew Illard Skin.
Beyond that, there is Burntrap from security breach.
So depending on what Scott is like, there are still options.

I've been of the opinion for a while that the best option for Doctor Who killer would be a Cyberman.
Lots to work with there, from the wrist gun to Cybermats and the like.
Cybermen are only superior in one respect!
THEY ARE BETTER AT DYING!!!!

I’ve been extremely specific on previous post over the last year. I am not sure I can get more specific.
I personally have made several bug reports with details, screenshots, videos of how to duplicate said bugs. Still takes months on months to years to get fixed. The community is frustrated. Now we have a brand new 3rd party site while I am sure more effective, a lot of people on the forums have mentioned they will not be submitting reports due to extra log in steps and all the work it takes to fill out the report. You might as well get a paystub at that point.
However, I still go through all of that to help. I do my part. It’s not my job by any means but here I am…going through a headache to help out where I can in light of it.I'm not pointing fingers at you, your bug reports might be flawless, but there is a lot of them that serve nothing more than a vague hint that a bug exists, which isn't going to help getting it fixed.
And the problem with vague posting, with the message you specifically posted is that the game works fine, people just wont admit it does and prefer to talk about the game like its broken and doesnt work, when it objectively does.
-
I wonder how much this poll stacks up against the quarterly surveys, I mean it looks like a youtube poll and I never saw it.
I wonder how many people of those 12.000 actually play the game vs. not.ALSO
We just want a working game. That’s it. Nothing more. Nothing less.
My guy the game is already functional, people need to stop vague posting about what problems they think the game has and actually be specific, it will help the developers much much much more. Example is how often I see people straight up refuse to bug report things and then complain its not getting fixed. And my brother, when people submit a bug without steps to reproduce what do you actually expect BHVR to do???
-
I also want these Chaos Shuffle features into the base-game.
I am crying at the feet of BHVR here, but they have yet to acknowledge this need from us.
-
I love weeping angels, but nobody would like to be one. Imagine being locked down by 4 blinking survivors. nah
But idd love a Doctor Who chapter, but it should contain the Daleks instead as Killer.
EXX TER MINATE!!!! *blam laser*
-
How does the license work? is it owned by the creator of the game or the Roblox Company?
-
Yeah the MMR floor should be more flexible and maybe it should be so if my skill suddenly starts to rise quickly that the system dont leave me hanging in low mmr once it clicks.

They do go hand in hand, although I think this case is different because of how long it's gone on for. Often times, I think the narrative shifts toward us treating both BHVR and the game itself as if we're only about 4 years deep. But we're not. It's been a decade worth of these things and especially after what 2025 was proposed to be, it's all unacceptable. Actions matter most (in my opinion). If they can't deliver, then I'm not interested.
Oh dont worry, im not correcting you for your interest only.
You are free to be upset by BHVR and im not trying to take that from you. -

Genuinely no offense, but why would I care about what they have to say when their actions are louder than words? After 2025, I don't know why anyone would (in my opinion).
Why would should listen to what people say? Well..Because actions are not the whole picture or what may come next.

No, I meant what I said. If it was a real issue, BHVR still would have pushed a fix through. Players have gotten upset over all kinds of things that still got the green light. By doing nothing to solve it in the end, they are communicating that it isn't a problem. I would welcome a member of staff specifying otherwise, but until then I'm going off of what they themselves have conveyed via their actions.
Then you forgot to listen to them on the Community Streams, where they clearly explained that they would not want to push anything through if people really dont like it.
-
We definitely need a system to end games faster rather than 2v1s where the Killer slugs one and spends minutes finding the last guy.
Please BHVR give us a way to bleed out fast in 2v1 scenarios, the way this would work best is after 10 seconds the downed survivor can do this. This would give the Killer a way to end the game normally first.
@XDgamer018 said:
what if it happens in endgame/EGC and what if the killer is chasing someone near the hooked survivor?
Repeat the rule that these things turns off during endgame, this has been policy for a while.
-
@UnicornMedal said:
BHVR looked at it in 2025 and deemed it not to be a problem. Unacceptable, I know.
You mean, it was not possible for BHVR create a system that players would accept well enough.
BHVR never said it was not a problem.
-
It should be possible for BHVR to check Server records for suspect situations where a deadhard was activated consistently within within a very short timeframe. But they need time to develop that into the array of checks they do.
BHVR would need to figure out a way to see how big the problem is first, that should motivate the development of the solution.
I urge anyone to submit proof they have of this so they can see the size of the problem. -
I like this idea, but hes not really a slasher or horror adjacent.
-
Not only would this solve so many problems within the discours of the 'us versus them' rhetoric, but many ppl might actually self reflect in the way of "maybe im not that good, or maybe im top percentile, I cant speak for the average…". Cause quiet frankly It is getting exhausting to keep arguing with brand new players who seem to know it all, but somehow also get to be catered to in terms of balance.
If people cant realize how the MMR System works and draw reasonable conclusions on changes based on that, then having one small number with less meaning than their actual number wont help them.
I severely doubt even if we had MMR fully displayed the discourse would still not be better.
-
its a lil late for those requests, anything that is gonna change would be ready by now.
-
and have players instantly disconnect because they get a server they feel is too far away??
Listen I dont want the disconnect epidemic to get worse…
-
Give the Third Survivor or the downed the ability to bleedout fast after 10 second.
Because there is no way for Survivors to come back from 2man game anyway,
rather have 1 sacrifice themselves to move the game on. -
OK I see why you say this and in general its kinda annoying that use their unhook protection to take hits for their Survivor friends. I am in full agreement on that point, but how would you fix this problem?
The only way I see it would be to make the Server make survivors who take unhook protection hits to go down instead.
and it would need some needlessly complicated 5 second grace period to separate the Survivors after hook otherwise tunneling and camping is getting strengthen. This would also make endgame collapse saves way harder as if everyone is running the same way, its possible the server detects a protection hit and the unhooked goes down.In theory this could work, but idk about consequences.

Like I mentioned in my original comment back when this thread first got published, elves are on average slightly shorter, and more slender than humans.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/A9MC92OZF6AO/20260102154756-1.jpg
This is an example from Dragon Age Veilguard (applies to the other games in the series). Elves are portrayed to be around half a head's height shorter than the human characters on average, but with a similar range of sizes.
Side note: Dragon Age is heavily based on D&D, so the designs of the characters are good representations of what D&D characters would look like.Dragon Age is not Dungeons and Dragons tho. Dungeons and Dragons range is much wider.
-
Myers rework being the best gameplay I've had in a while.
-
Hi guys, I am sorry to the mods for resurrections this thread but I was looking into this claim…
In DnD elves are already a bit shorter than humans and are supposed to be more slender, but she has all of the same proportions as a human male in the game.
and actually its wrong, they CAN be, but are not supposed to be.
They can be the same size, I dont know where you get the idea of elves being shorter, but the rules dont say that.
Either way im pretty sure DND themselves would have had to sign off on Aestri's size.Happy New Year.

The Fan
Lore: One day pilospc was playing dead by daylight once again, until a thick fog filled the room…
-
The problem with this is that the math is just unfair for Killers.
I much better liked the Comeback- mechanic that would increase Survivor gen repair speeds if a Survivor dies early.
This would eliminate the need for tunneling, since the game would not turn to heavily in the Killers favor if they tunnel. -
@Anniehere said:

I don't think these two situations are really comparable. One still involves interactive endgame gameplay, while the other is just a forced cut-scene.
both are inactive both are forced.
-
Can Killers get to skip having to push Survivors out of the exit gates then?
-
I am taking a break myself atm, been playing Minecraft with the lads and going through Dark Souls another time.
Reason? Well honestly so disappointed we never got anything tangible to solve tunneling, not even a comeback mechanic to make it less useful. The fact that measures against tunneling failed to come is just flat out bad.
Tho I doubt BHVR is out, I am for a while.
Ill return to play with Henry thats for sure, but I cannot enjoy survivor at all in its current state.
The best news I could hear from BHVR right now would be that they implement a perk randomizer as a base feature.
But that's just me who would like that I think. -

I'd love a Doctor Who chapter in general.
If the devs could figure out how to make Daleks work, man, that'd be the coolest thing…
Daleks would be such an iconic threat, sure the weeping angels are the fan favorite. But Daleks have much more screen-time.
Here is an idea on how they could make a Dalek Power.
If we first take the idea that the disintegration beam should be the main attraction then Daleks would be a pinpoint accuracy ranged killer with slow movement speed. Deathslinger comes to mind, but without a reeling in.
In the show, the Disintegration Beam is supposed to be instant death, but we cant do that. Games rules.
Which fortunately happens for the Doctor often, since Daleks are poor shots in the series. Here is how I think it could work. here is the basic gameplay
- Slow speed Killer
- Pin-point long range laser that creates an electrical explosion where ever it hits.
- Explosion causes hindered for a small moment
- First laser hits with Laser explodes dead center on Survivor
- Second laser hits injures survivor. causes explosion too but injured survivor inst affected.
- A discussion can be had how many direct hits needs to cause injury.
I also think a secondary system should be in play
- Laser direct hits = Doom Counter (x number max)
- Hook survivor to lock in Doom Counter
- Once Y number of Doom counters has been reached, direct ranged hits with Disintegration will Quick Mori Survivor.
Do you think this could show promise? I think it could be an okay start for gameplay to develop from.

This is exactly the reason why we have it - and it also integrates into our systems!
Forum bug reporting was never a good tool, we've wanted to move away from it for quite some time, forums are just not designed for that. Having a tool like this is ideal, it not only takes reports and integrates them into our systems, but also acts as a known issues board in a way, also when you are creating a report, it is able to mark as duplicates etc, which is a big time save and allows us to offer a much better service.
Im so happy the bug reporting could be made better AND with video support too.
I hope we can enter a new golden age of getting bugs fixed.
-
I think the problem is you have relied too much on camping/tunneling and you dont have killer skills for the mmr that camping/tunneling left you at. Now that you are without those strengths you are at a dis advantage, you will lose alot of matches before your mmr corrects.
But honestly I think most people are pretty happy about losing camping.
-
Agreed, it runs the risk of just getting people to leave. Not only do you have a bad game and you get it, but then you get a warning like the game is wagging its finger at you. "nuh nuh dont die on purpose" its a system meant to warn offenders but also ends up being insulting.
-
If they made it to endgame and survivor are still alive at most you have to use specific perks to escape in time from a camping killer. otherwise its just a trade usually unless there is severe gaps in skill between players. if this was not the case then Survivors could probably win every time.

Since when forum became a work environment? It can’t be in any case. Community can’t be directly related to working on project, this forum also not a direct speech platform because you don't receive their feedback, it’s one sided. No reason trying to make a parasocial mess here thinking any of us here involved in work process or potentially can be. We are players first of all
I'm not saying its advertised as such, but everything on the rules list makes this a work environment.
Not for us, we are not the workers. But BHVR's developers ARE and this is their forum so least we can do as guests is follow the work etiquette and be respectful, clear and constructive so we dont waste their valuable time.Honestly it just makes good sense to me, this has nothing to do with parasocial relationships and more to do with time.

How often do you see mods being tagged here?
Personally, I didnt even know that it was against the rules, when I did it (with good intentions). Most people dont tag mods in general. I personally dont think that their inbox would suddenly flood with messages any more than they do right now.
Also, I do personally think, that these forums should also encourage communication with people in contact with the developement team and not actively discourage it. They actively want our feedbackk and opinions but never interact with us other than when it comes to a ban.
Last time I was in communication with a mod about a long standing in-game issue, I got a stereotypical answer that I could swear was automated / copy pasted.
This is not what I would personally consider a healthy environment for constructive criticism and discussion. Im personally not a fan of this kind of treatment. If you are, then thats good for you. Agree to disagree.
How often do you see mods being tagged here?
It happens not so often these days, but in the past like almost every day.

You try developing a game with everyone thinking they can Tag you to get your attention, see how useful that is for you.
Otherwise, we accept how BHVR wants to do it.@PetTheDoggo said:

This is not work, this is public forum.
And moderators are simply way too trigger happy even if you consider this "work environment".
I have seen warnings for really pathetic reasons and UndeddJester's case is one of those.
I am fine with moderating offensive language, but bans for comment not being constructive enough is just hilarious. This is not work, this is public forum.

unconstructive criticism is useless to the development team and it attracts the same attitude in more posts if it isnt squashed.

I don't really get why you can be aim dressed into a miss at all. The game is admitting you're deserving of the hit, that's why its dressing the aim to make it appear more legitimate than it was.
Surely the game should recognize that it's giving you a hit and then give you the hit, no?
This logic would work in a singleplayer game, but in an online multiplayer game its not likely the server validates it.

Well, then I have to ask, why are we here?
Sometimes, people try to actively solve issues that have been in the game for years. And sometimes, discussing these issues requires official statements. How do we get them? Who do we ask if not these people?
I understand not responding to every person that tags, but maybe it would be great to first look at the post they have been tagged in, look at the context and then decide on further steps, instead of immediately shutting something down that could have offered contructive input.

You cant rely on an answer, instead you kind of have to think about what BHVR might be going for than then argue for it.
Even so questions where you need internal game knowledge to be constructive is most likely far far deeper than BHVR would easily like to change things, but you can still express your distaste for how things work and plea for BHVR to make them better without internal knowledge.I understand not responding to every person that tags, but maybe it would be great to first look at the post they have been tagged in, look at the context and then decide on further steps.
Yeah, except that would cloud up any inbox. Allowing free range on tagging developers would just escellate the problem.
Everyone here thinks their ideas are important and every idea could be improved by internal knowledge. Yet the developers are not here to strengthen your ideas, but to listen to them. They will strengthen your ideas themselves during the development cycle if they decide to put it into production.

Yes I know, that they don't want to be tagged all the time and probably have enough messages to deal with. However, isn't it the job of a moderator to, you know..., moderate a discussion and do support it instead of shutting it down because one person had the audacity to ask for clarification?
I didn't get it back then and still don't understand it now.
I don't get why you can get suspended for a week of you tag a moderator to get a official statement necessary to continue a constructive discussion.
Its in the rules, that is why.
Imagine being tagged by every person who thinks what they are doing something important, that would be really annoying.
Also this thread breaks a few rules too by talking about a specific person's ban.

I dont think this should be done, since it would open the door to 3-gen strategies again, which are pretty unwinnable for survivors.

I mentioned platform as they have ways of background recording for future reference.
And I said this as even if you feel like is the most unfair thing to ever happen, no one can really validate that without seeing what happened as there are just too many variables to know without.
A vid of the match would help miles as its not the first time people die so quickly but small mistakes or events from any player can lead to such an event. (Wish theatre mode was a thing)
There was no small mistakes, other than healing near hook while the Blight was on the otherside of the map chasing someone else. The split second he stopped chasing over there I obviously should have recognized that I was in danger and started running.
