Interactivity. It's buff to his unique grab system mainly while making doors more interactive and rewarding.
Do you find it hard to get AxeGrabs on Survivors? I always seem to get like 2 to 3 per game, is that too little?

What exactly do think Springtrap is missing and what these buffs fix?
-
Honestly I am not much of a Flashlight player, I like playing Guide. But I am overjoyed that you made another Survivor Class.
And In general idd like to bring up a critique I made last time which is, I feel like you guys made the mistake to bring in blastmine and Flashbang into 2v8. Its not because they are not fun, its because their playstyles differ from the Idea of the class I picked.
When I think of a Guide, I dont think person who puts a trap. I understand that the Guide was not very popular and felt weak to players and placing blastmines IS fun. Its just not really keeping the theme of the class right to me. I think if you guys could work out a better identity for the Guide and maybe move blastmine over on another class.
Consider… a Troublemaker class consisting of the perks Blastmine, Deception, Pebble and HeadOn when hooked once.
See this is the Issue, I can imagine a Troublemaker class, but I dont know what I would give Guide to keep it interesting.
Anyway, keep tinkering with classes its great. -
I think there should be a Survivor perk that lets you hear TR through undetectable caused by perks.
But Killers with undetectable in their power/addons should diffrent.

What's going on with the game? It's unplayable as a killer now, just looping and pallets. You could counter the looping, the number of pallets now is insane. I'm done until this gets fixed, beyond frustrating. Stop bowing down to weak surv players
I want to see how you play, any chance you can record some for us and link them here in this thread?

we been wanting this for years.

I hope it does not become the Americanized version of the monsters, idd like something stays true to the folklore rather than popular media. im not against popular media at all, but I find it way cooler when BHVR dives deep into some old folklore and brings to life a horror unseen in modern western media.
Also I think there are other cool stuff to pick from than Wendigo, rather there are stories of giant cannibals, forest spirits and this giant horned snake. Idd be open to any of those.

That could be interesting.
Though I assume that most survivors would flock to the version with antitunnel and most killers would do the opposite and use the version without it.
Except lil me.

I feel if we end up with a third resident evil chapter it will most likely have something to do with the Ethan games.
Lady D would be a great fit.

Ashford Twins would be a great Killer.

The Offerings system could be so fun, but its used for only bloodpoints and Map Offerings which drove people mad due to some map's imbalance. Its an untapped gold mine for content to bolster the game but its just more bloodpoints to gain more bloodpoints to get more bloodpoints to do what exactly? get more bloodpoints ofc.
And with all these bloodpoints can I ask, where is the game at?

Or they could call it Pallet Breaking Simulator. How much more help do you need before you decide either to get better or maybe the game isn't for you?
Any help at all would be great, my survival rate is 30% at the moment.
-
They should rename the game to Dead by Tunneling.
Of all things, foolish Team-mates who pull me off hook next to the killer, Killers who camp to tunnel or high speed killers that go across map in seconds to tunnel me. Its absurd gameplay and I honestly think people are getting VERY tired of it.

Yes we need better map offerings back because the map weighting is so bad BHVR created a problem that was not a issue but now is.
Remove map weighting and make it truly random or give us back stronger map offerings so players can decided not to go on drakova deepwood for the 50th timeI vote for Remove map weighting offerings and rework all those offerings into something fun.
-
Why on earth would I use offerings that can get countered by others? Seems like a waste to me.

I would love a Original Chapter focusing Slavic folklore. The Yirka seems like a fun.

I dont think BHVR has the technology to add skins for Bardic Inspiration, but they should cause it would be awesome.

No, we sill have a shared language and discussion will happen despite people's egos.

Lady D would be amazing, I want her to be able to pick up and pallet and hurl it at a survivor as an optional ranged attack.

Every new or reworked killer is having more kills due to survivors finding the best and most comfortable counterplay which takes time.
Look at springtrap there were dudes spaming post like "new ghoul bhvr pls nerf" and what happened? He is consideret like in middle of tier list so I ask where is that new ghoul?
This killer is strong but requires you to hit your shots and is easy to hold W from what I have seen so unless you go against someone who can predict very well because thats all this killer is about predicting where the survvior is going and where he will be, will he doge back or left or will he run straight? thats all what is this killer about predicting survivors you trajectory and getting hits same as pyramidhead but little different (maybe easier to get hits with but needs more hits to injure or start the clocks and has mobility but he is slower).
Agreed, not to mention the MMR changes to good Vecnas go up and the bad vecnas stop playing lmao

Don’t bother arguing. This is the same person who was on the forum other the holidays making a bunch of posts to insult and troll killer players and then got banned once the mods came back from vacation. They’re apparently back and doing it again - of course they picked the weekend to do it. They are not trying to make a serious discussion - it’s just someone who doesn’t play killer claiming all killers are OP and telling people that they suck at killer if they don’t 4K every time.
Thanks for the tip. But I like to investigate the logic of his opinions either way.

if every one of his clicks is a 50/50 then it makes this killer braindead easy to down survivors since he can just spam the click 4 times to get a down, which is what any competent Vecna will do. if you take more than 4 clicks to get a survivor its a serious skill issue
Yeah but it does not. Only if the Survivor does something dumb or super unpredictable. Same thing can happen to Huntress.
Does Huntress have a serious skill issue now suddenly? I think not.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4051780#Comment_4051780
Because you are a bad shot but since you can spam the ability it doesn't matter, sooner or later the survivor guesses the wrong way to dodge in a 50/50 and you get a free hit.
Yeaht, thats what 50/50 means, its up to both players ability to predict the other.
-
If Vecna takes zero skill why am I not hitting every Vine attack I do?
Either you are not running unpredictably or I'm a bad shot. Both ways has skill involved so the premise on this thread is suspect.

To common sense, provided we can all share one.
A common sense we all share do not exist.
what we can share is the applications of reason and logic cause they have clear rules. Common sense do not. -

Sitting on gens is way more valuable than giving wallhacks. Out of shack you shouldn't really get use of it. I kinda wish they give him infinite undetectable when leaving door and using door disable his undetectable for like 40s.
Using Cameras to find Springtrap and prevent the undetectable. Sounds like playing Fnaf 3 again.
This is actually a good idea, but OP as hell if Survivors cant manage it.I was also thinking if for the duration that he is revealed by the camera (10 seconds) he could have downgraded speed to 105/110 depending on the axe location.

It's because of overwhelming negative feedback that made devs put the mechanic to the shelf. Such thing usually happen when something very big is introduced but isn't objectively fair. Most of the time they just push things out and wait for people's reaction on large scale, rather than from small group or regular players.
So you want just a select group to be listend too??
-
You mean, you wanted child Dustin and not the one we got?
You cant put children in a murder game, its in the constitution. I mean terms of service, idk

How do I put it.. it feels faster than with Pyramid Head. I am genuinely trying to dodge it, and some times I can randomly guess where he won't shoot, but it feels like luck. The second I catch the glimpse of the attack, I usually cannot run outside of the AoE. Maybe I'd have to have super low ping to be able to react in time? I can deal with Pyramid Head's attacks, but these are much harder for me. :/ The BIG Aoe I cannot dodge at all, it spreads so fast.
Are you running in a unpredictable pattern aswell, look at him or listen for when he charges the attack???

@Alen_Starkly said:

He charges a ranged attack that I cannot see until it's too late, and he gets free injury on me. How is this a mindgame? It's pure guesswork. It's not fun at all. This is simply about me getting lucky that I guess a direction where he won't shoot. At least Pyramid Head's attack is telegraphed. Vecna's isn't, or isn't enough, 'cause I cannot see it.
Plus, his big AoE attack I cannot outrun. It spreads faster than I can run, so it's a guaranteed injury. What mindgame? There's no mindgame here. It's just a case of whether I'm running Sprint Burst, and if it's ready to use.
What do you mean you cant see it? the actual animation does not show up for you???
Record your screen with your phone, there is an animation that is supposed to show up. -
What the heck do you mean hes unfair???, I can barely hit any survivor like 75% of the time.
I had to tunnel and proxy-camp the living juice out of some Russian Streamer to get my Adept.Otherwise Max kills I get in a match is like 2K. How is that unfair huh???

Indeed, new cute outfits… for the Clown.

They refuse to listen to far more skilled people than me, what odds do I have here?
I can express my opinion at best, which is the introduction of Equalizer system that adjusts game pace based on how sides are performing and provide some form of aid if one side is clearly struggling. It can be adjusted gen repair speeds, better luck in item rarity from chests, slower on-hook timer for survivors and so on. There are plenty of options to work with.
That is objectively false, they just recently made a point of canceling the anti-tunnel changes and the arguments BHVR used against it on consideration was the exact same ones that high skill players had used in videos discussing the subject.

So why is the killer supposed to be able to secure their kill, but the survivor on hook isnt supposed to be able to still be saved? Double standards.
A Survivor in the endgame can be saved by a combined team-work effort and then how far away from the exit gate they are.
No double standard here.

Solution exists and is called ''Balancing''. When devs punish killer for ''tunneling'' and ''slugging'' they offer almost no alternative in return. It's obvious that getting 12 hooks on average is more time demanding task than repairing 5 gens and opening a door, as well the killer task can't be delegated to anyone else where survivor tasks can be either done by two ( one keeps killer busy, another repairs gens ) or more.
It's understandable that every player in the match wants to have fun and theoretically all can get a ''share'' of it, but when one side has to put more effort consistently than the other, it's no surprise someone will eventually get ''robbed'' of their pleasure, one way or another.
If you dont think BHVR does balancing right, then maybe you should convince them what the right way are?
-
@hollyweird said:
Thats what I am wondering as well. Tunnel and slugging may not be same as breaking other ToS like cheating but devs and player base dislike it and dont want to see it. But I couldn’t find a post where devs talk about how are they going to solve the core issue to why slugging/tunneling is a valid strategy instead of hooking survivors ‘successfully’ one by one
As far as I know, they have no found a solution yet.
-
I find the game is best when you don't try to win at all costs.
This is why I advocate for Chaos Shuffle features to implemented into the base-game as using the best perks just bloats mmr.
And Im not into wanting to do an arms race with the Survivors.It seems tho slugging will continue to be part of the game for a while, because players will say, I need to tunnel, that they cant win without tunneling. Which I think is because their MMR is bloated and they wont let their guard down, if they take off all thier good perks and dont tunnel, then the game WILL make them face the same players until a proper reduction in MMR is justified.
I do submit my experience as Killer is much more manageable and fun when I dont try to go beyond.
Does that mean being competitive will drain the life and joy out of you? No, but I did for me and I changed my tune to still play. -
No Mither is a challenge perk, unlike other perks. No-one likes to have "Hard-mode" thrust on them like that.
I have not seen No Mither this time even as Killer, so I suppose all the feedback /complaining last time got to BHVR.
-
Leaving the hook is way way way more likely end up with 0K instead. If Killers cant guard what they get in endgame, you might aswell allow killers to abandon game the second all gens are done.
-
If you made a system where "crashes" dont cause matchmaking bans, then instead of pulling the plug people will just fake a way to make a crash so they can quit any dbd match they please.

You make a good point from a 'Resident Evil' perspective, though I would take a different approach to buffing Nemesis according to The Entity's rules for the trials.
Mostly:
- As he levels up, his hand secretes a purple chemical (seen in 1999 when he stands up again for the second phase of a battle). He would also drool through his teeth (seen in Marvel VS Capcom 3), while his breathing becomes louder;
- Infecting survivors shouls be possible through the tentacle only, as it was a crucial moment in both versions of RE3;
- Holding down the attack button during a whip attack that lands on a survivor should drag them closer, giving them less time to run away (IF it's not obstructed by an obstacle);
- Nemesis should have a second basic (with lunge) attack, immediately after his first one fails (using both arms to punch a survivor);
- Survivors shouldn't get haste after getting infected, as they do not lose a health stage;
- Using the whip attack close enough to a window should make Nemesis vault faster;
- To counter his considerable buffs, survivors should be able to find hand grenades around the map. Hitting zombies causes them to die and take longer to respawn. Hitting Nemesis causes him to get stunned for x3 (or more) the amount of a normal pallet stun, while also revealing his aura for everyone for 30 seconds. But hitting downed pallets destroys them, and a survivor too close to the blast loses a health stage.
I hope BHVR understands how much this means for fans, as they have many opportunities.

Its very cool we mostly agree on his power design for an upgrade.
-
is this because you guys enter on your phones???
-
I agree, BHVR kinda threw a very soft ball to us with Nemesis which has deflated over the years.
In that his transformations are so insignificant. The fact that he ONLY gets yellow bubbles on his arm is soo disappointing.Nemesis is one of my favorite Killers, but his gameplay with disappointing. But ill do it anyway to play as my guy.
So he goes around and whips people and he has two assistants that cant pathfind properly half the time??Meanwhile if you play the Remake his playstyle is much more about physical attacks than the Parasite whip.
IF the Entity blessed me to direct a Thematic upgrade package to Nemesis it would be the following:
1. A more pronounced evolution. aka Model changes as he levels up.
2. Gameplay with less whipping and more punching.
3. Whipping should still inflict T-virus, but Punches should inflict T-virus at 50% of the times.
4. Whipping an infected Survivor should work like Deathslingers shot, dragging the survivor in close for an attack.
5. Evolving should increase movement speed and give reduced attack cooldown for a short duration.
6. Nemesis breaks doors when running through them during evolving short duration.
7. Let nemesis use both hands for repeated attacks.
8. Give Survivors handguns to kill Zombies and slow nemesis slightly.
9. Give Survivors hand grenades' which is thrown and slows Nemesis moderately.That should destroys BHVR's budget for like 2 years, but you cant deny it would cool.
And it would make playing Nemesis have the prestige and awe it deserves. and not just hes OK. -
Its a fine solution, it made the most egregious 3gen game playstyles too hard to be worth it.
Some perks could be changed to count more in the system, Perks such as Surge/Jolt which is incredibly strong.
-
No, this can be fixed via other ways.

The list of banned addons is very arbitrary.

Trapper cannot use his aura reading addon, but can roll Padded Jaws.
Myers can't roll Blond Hair, but can roll Scratched Mirror.
Artist can't use Iri Feather, but can roll Charcoal Stick (the worst addon she has)
Plague can't use one green addon for some reason, but can get Propylapthic Amulet, an addon that only nerfs you.
Hmm thats a bit absurd, how can BHVR justify that??
