  • They should also punish suicides on hooks, they are essentially the same thing :(

i very much am an ace visconti irl but boy did my luck leave me today

Even with luck offerings half of my games I spawn so near to the killer, spine chill activates and I can see the red stain XD

    (Seriously, not lying*)

  • i know i have and i started using instaheals and bnps and meta perks as a personal revenge im just wondering did it happen to anybody else today?

What? I thought tunneling in almost every game was normal? You must be lucky then 0.o

  • It's toxic to try to win and hook all 4 survivors. It IS definitely not toxic to DC when the killer looks at you for a split second too!

  • The pallets seem fun, snares are meh. There should be more pressure in the dreamworld, but he is definitely much better now.

  • I was using iron will against a nurse with all her teachable perks (nurse’s calling, stridor, thanatophobia) along with iron grasp.

It is intentional, it is a counter perk to Iron will :)

Also, No Mither + Iron will counters strider!

  • As a survivor-

Ruin- it slows the game down and unfun to see the regression, but it is a requirement nowadays.

NOED- Just the feel that you worked really hard to survive to the endgame only to be shutdown by NOED. Why. Just why.

Rancor- Well, time to get moried!

Barbecue and Chili. A perk that always lead to me dying.

Discordance- Stops gen rushing, scary if you are trying to work together

Haunted Grounds- Especially when a teammate triggers it after you see it and now it is haunted grounds.

    As a killer-

Adrenaline. A well-earned perk but annoying if you are playing a M1 killer.

None has bothered me much yet.

  • Being forgotten, unappreciative, and failing. :D

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Why uh....why would the Plague run NOED? That's kind of ascended.

    And Devour Hope. Yikes.

  • @se05239 said:

If it comforts you, that killer will probably never get to the purple ranks.

(Edit, Nevermind, NOED really needs to be a worked for perk. :/)

  • So, as a killer, I hate using any ebony moris, even if the survivors was toxic to me. I think it just gives an unfair advantage that basically guarantees you will get at least a kill, and the requirement is extremely easy to obtain. Just seeing the mori gives fear, and there is no way to escape with a perfect game unless all survivors manage to never be caught. Ivory and Cypress are perfect, but ebony is a downside. It is problem to the game health, fun for the killer, but never fun with the survivor.

  • Since I was in green ranks and currently stuck at yellow ranks atm, here is what I see:

-Potato survivors that do questionable things during chases

-Lots of Legion, Wraiths, Trappers, Leatherfaces. And rarely a Spirit or Hillybilly.

-Lots of farming teammates (Face smack everytime I see this)

    -Some campers and tunnelers

-Some Disconnects and many (too many) suicides on hook

-At least generators are somewhat a priority to survivors

-Only met one killer giving me hatch

-One killer mori (Leatherface, I was stupid to stay in the Thompson House)

-Some spicy post game chat (both sides) even though I was being friendly and supportive to the killer

-25% chance that I will get downed by NOED. Why. (Sacrificed myself so last teammate wouldn't kill himself saving me)

    -Selfcares in corners EvErYwHeRe

-At least 70% of my teammates are somewhat decent.

  • At least we need an improved tutorial. But I know that people on the internet become reluctant to join in when they see the toxicity of the community or the "Unfun" parts of both killer and survivor. (Like iridescent heads, Instaheals, ebony moris, prayer beads, Old DS, Old Mettle of Man, Old Legion, etc)

Far as I remember it, killer is more fun from rank 20 - rank 10. Then it turns with every rank harder and depending on the killer you are playing, it gets more and more frustrating.

That said, in my games I had always the survivors live and farm, if a survivor already dc while the match was loading or in a really early stage of a match.

Dbd can make fun, even if you kill no one, as long as you like the character you are playing.

I agree, but I do fear the high ranks, since it seems so strict and requires that you be a professional to stay at the top. If there was a casual mode, I would play that all the time and keep my rank at green ranks, not too strict, not in a rank full of potential potatoes.

  • I main survivor, but I feel stressed because I do care about rank, but I solo 95% of my games, and it's painful to see the consequences of playing solo survivor. It also makes it worse when people DC or suicide. I try to play non-toxically, but I have gotten post game chat apologies from killers saying they are sorry for being sweaty. Which in this match, a rank 19 David butt danced him I saw with empathy, causing the suffering of the other 3 green rank survivors in the game. I think killer is more fun most of the time now because I can at least control the flow of the game how I want it, whether I want to hook or spare survivors.

  • each rank should grant a certain amount of Bloodpoints or Shards hell I would be okay if every 5 ranks you got a cosmetic items for all survivors such as at Rank 1 you get a crown or a crow hat just to add purpose to ranking up otherwise there is no point and we play simply to have fun with no reward.

This would be nice, since currently there is no reward besides escaping the yellow and gray ranks full of questionable survivor teammates XD

  • Nurse's Calling crying in the corner not being mentioned.

  • Like all the dozens of comments above, Happy Birthday, enjoy this day :D

  • Devs are doing their best to balance the game, but since neither side of survivor and killer can ever be happy truly. Balancing is harder than anyone expects.

  • Forgot to say killer, discordance is nice to see the genrushers' next target.

  • The one perk that always saves my butt whenever the entity is throwing it's hate at me and spawn me close enough to the killer where spine chill activates immediately and I can see the red stain from where I am standing. Yes, this happened in half of my games today and yesterday. XD

  • Nurse only needs addon work

    Clown, Plague needs some work

    Justice for Trapper and Wraith

    Leatheface and Legionare oofs atm

And Pig, she is alright still, but didn't like the changes for EGC, though I wish it was adjusted differently.

  • Wait, which one? (Picture please)

  • That throwing down pallets before doing gens was a "Defense". This was rank 20, okay? XD

  • Basically what 70% of these forums is about. Only complaint I throw out is the random unnecessary nerfs thrown at killers and when people are jerks in-game. :)

  • @Acesthetiic said:

@Ember_Hunter Leatherface is so easy to loop, when would you need to really dodge his chainsaw?

I suck at loops and often times find myself in an open space when the chainsaw starts XD

I have dodged it a couple of times by driving into corners or fast vaulting in time, but most of the time, I get downed easily XD

  • @Shaped said:

Sometimes when I know I pipped or I had good game, I let the killer kill me by pointing towards the hook. Same goes when I am the killer, usually I let two people go when I am certain I pipped. Rarely 3.

Neat. Though my emblem system is weird, so I would rather escape, though I would point at the hook and look at them to see if they want to hook me.

  • I crawl sometimes towards used hooks or hooked survivors if I already know the killer will pick me up. I do this to try to increase my chances to wiggle off, but don't do it if I know I can stealth crawl. Never been a scenario where this caused more problems.

  • This could replace left behind from the title itself. To keep consistency with 3 perks per survivor :)

  • @Rizzo said:

I usually give them my item, if i have one, as a token of my gratitude, otherwise i crouch and stare at the killer with my dead eyes 👀

I would give the item if they are gray ratings, not like I have 15+ gray medkits with all my characters....

  • Most Swf I encounter/am in are either very communicative and coordinated or very altruistic and die within 5 minutes. It really is luck whether soloing will increase or decrease your chances as survival.

  • Double t tbag and nod at the gate. I love friendly killers, they deserve a place in heaven.

  • Lorewise, maybe she managed to beat the Entity from taking her?

  • It's not, it is a great way to lose killers, run with exhaustion at 1 second, get to a pallet or window, then use the sprint burst. A very nice exhaustion perk :)

  • Even though I think Freddy is completely okay currently, I do say that snares should be buffed somehow, but let's see if low rank survivors will cause the downfall of Freddy or not.

  • Pretty sure it is mostly swf gaps, but we are still waiting for dedicated servers XD

  • Balanced Landing and Sprint Burst, has helped me not get instantly downed. :)

  • If Freddy gets nerfed, this will hurt the most active part of the community. Anyone who isn't dumb enough to say that a killer needs to be nerfed instantly after losing a few matches.

  • This would be a nice buff to a low tier perk. :D

  • @tehshadowman33 said:

I also considered buffing Pig's crouch movement speed when gates are powered from 92% (its current value) to 96.25% (Nurse's running speed), but I think it would be too powerful, and there wouldn't be much incentive to NOT just stay crouched until you found someone to tunnel to death.

Having better addons to crouch faster and ambush faster would be great too :)

  • Has happened to me so many times, reaching second state before being saved. I usually fight to get to unhook with my We'll Make It, though I don't stupidly instantly unhook survivors. Sometimes, I would unhook, but I would suddenly see that the saved survivor was farmed, even though I had Spine Chill and it didn't activate. :(

(Bonus story I want to tell that is a little related to this)

Most ridiculous match I have played was yesterday, it was a Ghostface, and I saw Claudette being farmed a lot (accidently, Ace and I tried to save her, but Ghostface kept on finding her) then disconnected. I was hooked once and had Kindred on. There was the Ace and a David left, which they were on a gen, but I saw that David went into the locker and Ace was being chased. Ace had to rescue me mid chase because David was nowhere nearby, and Ace was killed. I was chased for a while then hooked on the second hook. While struggling, I was enraged to see the David going back and forth into the locker and letting me die, though Ghostface was searching the area, but far enough to not farm me. I died, and decided to spectate, and the Ghostface let the David farm with him! At least the Ghostface apologized and said to focus more on who was doing what, but seriously? The guy who did nothing got to live unharmed and got to escape with the "most points"? Solo surviving is really hard. Almost all the time.

  • This would be interesting, I like the chase bloodlust permanently on after exit gates are in effect, you can fake having NOED. >:)

here is a little guide to how pallets affect certain killers:

    1. Trapper: he can trap pallets, instantly downing you if you step into a trap. traps are visible on the ground.
    2. Wraith: has no tool around pallets. good wraiths however will try to bodyblock you from getting to the pallet while cloaked, using his faster speed to get in front of you.
    3. Hillbilly: he can destroy pallets very quick with his chainsaw.
    4. Nurse: she can teleport through anything, including pallets.
    5. Huntress: she can throw her hatchets over pallets, hitting you when you are behind them. very dangerous when you are in the pallet drop animation and she has her hatchet ready to be thrown.
    6. Shape: he cant do anything about them, but he can stalk you over them, increasing his power
    7. Hag: she can place traps that trigger a phantom to go off, to which she can teleport later. she can get you in tricky situations where, if you predict her next move wrong, you get hit. (if the hag is on one side of tha pallet and her phantom is on the other)
    8. Doctor: he can shock you, denying you the ability to throw down pallets for 2 .5 seconds. with add ons, he can reate fake pallets.
    9. Cannibal: he can destroy pallets quickly with hsi chainsaw
    10. Nightmare: he can place down traps that slow you down when you step on them. with add ons, he can create fake pallets.
    11. Pig: she can crouch, hiding herself from your view and then ambush you from one side of the pallet.
    12. Clown: he can throuw bottles that slow you down and make it easier for him to mindgame around the pallet ,due to the fcked up vision survivors get.
    13. Spirit: she can quickly phasewalk around pallets, she is invisible during that phasewalk, and then appear on the other side of the pallet.
    14. Legion: while in frenzy they can vaul over pallets quickly, but they can not down you.
    15. Plague: she can vomit over pallets, inflicting the sickness effects on you, when she hits. corrupt purge will injure you.
    16. Ghostface: he can stalk you over them, increasing his power and also duck away from your view, attacking from one side.

Don't forget that Spirit can fake phase walk, tricking survivors to vault to them. I fell for this once to a Spirit Beads Spirit. I am really a stupid survivor XD

  • If they nerf any more killers unnecessarily, I will jump out of my window crying and sweating.

  • @Mushwin said:

i can't stand almonds myself lol

Almonds are weird if combined with anything, best to eat alone for me XD

  • For me:

1.) Leatherface, I just can't dodge his chainsaw easily, and the face campers are the worst.

2.) HillyBilly, I can dodge him a few times, but scary with the pressure that he can just find you instantly with Barbecue and Chili.

3.) Plague, when survivor teammates CLEANSE. And I DON'T cleanse.

4.)Trapper. I just for some reason am vulnerable to the traps more often, I feel to pressure with Trappers, all of my Trappers are smart killers.

5.) Hag, when teammates DON'T CROUCH. (SWF, I was saving some new players teammates I friended, they claimed to know to crouch walk, but they wouldn't. Ever. I died.)

Basically just listed the killers with the highest chances of killing me XD

    6.) If you ever see me as a survivor, you have a 88% chance of killing me. Unless it is Coldwind Farm, then you have an 80% chance. If you are playing a killer that is fun to me you still have a decent chance, maybe around 70%. But still, you are guaranteed to have at least a 95% to get a 1K if you see me in your lobby. I suck at chases most of the times, so please don't tunnel or camp me ;-;

  • I'm new to the game and I feel like there's a lot I don't understand as a survivor.

I am going to assume you are in the lower ranks, so with Legion, he or she can only vault pallets quickly when they have his or her power on. Nurses you may be able to use pallets to block hits and sometimes even stun (very rare in higher ranks though). But it is better to always try to lose line of sight with Nurse. Remember to try to make use of pallets by looping as much as possible before throwing it down, people in low ranks tend to instantly waste pallets. Above post is really good at describing everything else I missed. XD

  • @Rydog said:

My guideline tends to be: 2 gens, 2 unhooks, try to survive for at least 9 minutes, and hope I can lose the killer in a chase or two. If I'm doing at least this (at green ranks), I'll usually safety pip or better.

That's the thing. It used to be easy for me, but in mid-yellow ranks (where I got deranked to currently) I usually either get found first and die to tunneling and farming, or get a decent game with good chases, rescues and gens. And in these games when I escape, I get just a little after safe pip, and when I die, I lose a pip no matter what. It just seems to have become extremely strict for me, and this is yellow ranks. Maybe I have become worse at this game? Or killers suddenly became better?

  • @Gcarrara said:

Ehi, ok i'll need some clarifications to better understand. Sorry if i'm going to make obvious questions. 🙂

Are you playing on PC? If so did you jump into the PTB?

When you said "did something happen", since when are you talking about? When did you notice this change?

Also I think you are aware of this but just to be sure: pipping requirements now scale with ranks. The higher the rank you are, the tougher it is to black pip, pip and double pip.

Just wanted to throw this out of the way to be sure we're on the same page.

On PC, not on PTB. I am aware that it takes more work to rank up with higher ranks, but I noticed that even when I actively participate and do many of the generators, rescues, or chases, I would get a safe pip score, even with the most points out of all the rest of the survivors. I said "something happen" because I was taking a 3 week break from survivor because of massive tunneling, and started again last saturday. It really seems like it got updated so you can only pip with a "Perfect Game".

  • Time for me to copy and paste what I said in another thread XD

    HARD WORK YIELDS SUCCESS-

You are stressed working alone, but also stressed to catch up to others. When you are working on a Generator with one or more survivors, press the ACTIVE ability, which all Survivors will get rapid and constant waves of Skill Checks, which Good Skill Checks are decreased by 30/25/10%, and Great Skill Checks are increased by 15/25/35%. If the terror radius begins to play, the Skill Check waves will immediately stop for all survivors. This perk has a limit of 5 uses and cannot be used within the killer's terror radius. If a survivor attempts to leave during the wave, all survivors on the generator will be met with a moderately difficult skillcheck before the wave will prematurely stop.

“Congratulations in Gen Rushing and missing ALL the Skill Checks!”

    INTERVENING SOUL:

Your close observance of Killers and the Entity allows you to interfere with the trials. As long as you are injured, you can:

    - See killer scratch marks, red colored and lasts for 6 seconds.

-If the end game collapse timer is finished, you will be immune to the Entity's power for 10/20/30 more seconds.

-Interact with the entity whenever it is present in physical form (excluding hook sacrifice) by succeeding three difficult Skillchecks to disable all Entity related killer perks for 2/3/5 minutes. However, failing any Skillcheck will result with a noise notification and revealing your aura, along with a 15% action speed penalty until you have succeeded 5 skillchecks in any way. Gain a boldness bonus bloodpoint amount for each successful elimination of the Entity. This perk action has a 5 minute cooldown.

    “So… How’s Life?”

    TRUE ALTRUISM:

You truly wish to save your fellow survivors from gruesome death, but the Entity's hate for you is much stronger. After being unhooked one time, your will becomes strengthened. Whenever you rescue hooked survivors on the 2nd phase of the sacrificial process, and they are healed in any way (mending, selfheal, etc) within 120 seconds and you gain the safe unhook notification, the next time the survivor is hooked, they will instead be in the beginning phase of the second phase instead of instant death. However, when you are hooked, your sacrificial progress is 20/15/10% faster. This can be applied to each survivor one time per trial. If more than one survivor has this perk, whoever activates it first gains the benefits, and the other survivors instead gains a 20% boost in altruistic actions until the survivor who activated the perk escapes or dies. Increase the efficiency of all altruistic perks by 5% as long as all survivors are alive or escaped. Gain an altruistic bloodpoint bonus for each unhooking

“Always stick together, never be truly alone, for you will live by daylight.”
