If SWF are unstoppable, what are their exact opposite—solo queue? I never see killers complain about how easy it is to deal with solo queue. Where are the “I’m dominating solo queue survivors & that isn’t ok” posts? Lol. Because most survivors are solo queue and only 5% of teams are 4-man SWF.
This is pretty much a problem. You have killers getting used to getting 4k's and then expect it all the time. Killer mains have a great time dunking on Solo Queue but when the game matches them with people that can give them a real challenge, the killer gets upset and comes to the forums because their easy games are over. Been like that for a long time.

If they had 'Alien' then it would be something.

I am a solo player and don't really have a gaming community. I am not going to put myself out there just for a game that's advertised to play as a team or as one. It is brutal in soloq. I only started in Decemberish and recently it is much, much worse. At least in COD we all had a common goal lol. This is just using cheesy tactics with the odds stacked against us. Before the update we had a 50/50 chance to get out of a match now we are lucky to get 2 gens done before we all get done. Yeah and wraith's silent bells are totally unfair. All I hear is "get good" or join an SWF.... that is not viable options and it isn't a skill issue when your camped into oblivion.
That's the DBD community for you. Have a bunch of killers whining about SWF but when you're a SoloQHero their answer is "join a SWF".
Counter-intuitive. BHVR will never be able to fix this game because you can't please everyone.

No. That isn't required. The original statement was said to a dev, and the devs have access to the data.
Besides, this isn't anything that people (besides you) even argue about. Dead hard was the most popular exhaustion perk in my games by a lot, and I'm sure that at the mid to high MMR range, it was definitively the most popular exhaustion perk. Unless you want to provide a counter argument, by claiming some other exhaustion perk was more popular, then you're not even attempting to make a good faith argument.
Your use of dogmatism isn't a good faith argument.

Menu selection music if you click on the new survivors or Resident Evil survivors. Never noticed it before if it was in the game already but haven't tried killers.

I like the new music for certain characters.

It's matchmaking-sided.
Nothing matters, your game is predetermined by the matchmaker.
QFT
Some people think they are better than they actually are and get upset when they get outplayed by either side. So you'll see "It's X sided!" as a coping mechanism.

Isn't there a setting to hide other players' names?
Pretty much this, if you're offended you can just turn their names off.

Human nature. Take a look at governments and how they divide their people. They could fix the problems and solve the "us vs them" but there is no money in that.

They are good dlcs but people want cosmetics for characters that haven't really gotten anything lately.
I agree with this but it just comes down to money and metrics in the end unfortunately.
-
Funny thing is a lot of killers like to blow this out of proportion. Most of my killer games go fine, I might get a DC when I heatsink into a survivor right off the bat but most of the time they won't DC or give up on hook and just play normally, I do see a lot of survivors BMing other survivors so usually I'll go for the person doing it. Same with my survivor games, a killer might DC if we get 2 gens done right at the gate. It's all situational. Do I blame people? No, you do you boo-boo.
But going out of your way in the forums saying "I just want a normal game" insinuating that you never get any normal games is absurd. People will leave the game for any type of reason, even for a reason outside their control.

Probably not, at least not anytime soon. People would riot if we got more RE stuff so soon.
I think people would welcome it. It's been two of the best DLC's that BHVR has released.
-
The counter to Franklins is just go pick your item back up. I don't think survivors should have a counter to it, it's there for a purpose.
-
I'm convinced killers won't be happy until they can have 4K's handed to them. Any minor inconvenience to them like Dead Hard, the crying will never stop.
I'm at the point just delete it out of the game so I don't have to listen to crying killers all the time.
-
She looks like a tank. The quality coming from BHVR lately is Wish dot Com tier and lower.
-
It won't stop the killer cries unfortunately, next will "I can't tell if they have dead hard or not because I can't track if they saved a survivor". Might as well make the survivor 30% slower when DH is activated so the killer knows, baits it out, gets the kill so they don't whine.

This is why we need a suicide or give up button. Give them the same amount of kill/bloodpoints for the suicide for all I care. It's just silly to be on the ground for the whole bleedout.
I will normally try to finish gens if its me and another survivor. If they get found before me and go down and I see that the killer isn't picking them up, I go hide and wait for hatch. If I get found, I try to crawl far away from the other person as possible and even try to motion to not save me. Unfortunately, there are a lot of altruistic survivors that try to go for the save and we both end up rekt because they try to save. Same goes for when I get hooked at EGC. If I'm SWF, I tell them to leave me because the risk isn't worth it. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell solo's this so they end up trying and it's either an exchange hook or 2-4 of us are hooked.
A concede option would be nice. Just seems these 2 survivor left scenarios usually end with the killer getting the 4k anyhow. Might as well just give it to them and move onto the next.

Lol the replies in this thread. Clearly people will never be happy until Reassurance has unlimited range and pauses the hook timer forever.
Who said this? Believe people just want it to work as intended.

It is strange though, that if one survivor hides, it is ok, if both do the same, then it becomes a bannable offence, even if you have no way of knowing what the other is doing.
I ended up dead so often because i was the only one trying to do the last gen, while the other guy hid. Funnily, a lot of killers tell you they "usually" go for the other guy that is hidding, but just this game it was easier and faster to kill you off.
However, if the killer guards the bleeding guy, i start recording and hide.
Had several games where the killer waited till bleedout, then picked the guy up and let him go, to led him to me, because i hid and didnt help.
But since working is a bannable offence too, start your record early.
Yeah I don't know. This game is weird where things become "bannable" that's why I asked the question because the killer was laying into chat so hard "I've got a recording, you're reported" "You're going to get banned because you camped and let your friend die".
Like alright dude, oh well I guess.
-
The game just isn't fun. BHVR pigeon holes everyone into meta or meme builds. You either run sweaty or lose, both sides. Killer DC's, Survivor DC's. "Shake up the meta" never works because it just creates another "season" of complaints from both sides.

There you have it: one regular forum member giving a well though out, relateble answer that explains both sides of the coin, and another regular giving just an inflamatory one liner only stoking the fires and widening the divide.
Thats actually all we need to go even, we can stop now.
Not like versace is wrong. Hear it time and time again from a lot of killer mains "play in a SWF if you keep losing" but then are shocked when they play a SWF. Forum banter won't really stop that fact or "cure the divide".
-
I'm not tired of Resident Evil. Would love a Lady Dimitrescu.

I play against a decent amount, sucks because they can hit you on the next map and you can't do anything about it.

I'm about 3 weeks in with rerolling, all killer rituals.

Oh sure. Im entitled because I refuse to allow a jpeg to give survivors a win for free when they could move like 5 feet and let me hook them. No. I downed them, I outplayed them. Im not losing it because of a perk.
Your family must be proud.
-
I've put money and time into this game so I feel like I've got my moneys worth. Gave a positive review a long time ago. The game has changed but everything changes with time.
I'm not an entitled person so a time limited marketing campaign doesn't effect me. If I like something I'll buy it, if not, I don't. Pretty simple.
-
I wonder how people come up with these ideas.
-
I never got the fear part either, I just play and try to have fun. You can be competitive just understand you're not going to 4k every match and be okay with that, sometimes even 4 escape. Just don't become bitter like some killer mains and constantly complain about things out of your control, in the end it's just a game, not a battle for your real life.

Every holiday that Kate has gotten an outfit has been this super over-the-top outfit that stands out like crazy. We had the choice between a cute simple outfit, and PINK GODDESS BRIGHT I CAN SEE YOU FROM SPACE Kate.
What went wrong? The other option was something more that I imagine Kate would wear..
DONT GET ME WRONG- I'm a loyal Kate main so I still bought it~ but it would be nice to have both choices to buy. 😟
It's okay not to like something. Not everything is made for everyone, doesn't mean something went wrong.

I am not going to take anyone seriously if they call a Killer top tier when clearly he is not. It's not skill issue, it's just living in dream world.
You can think he is better than avarage killer or than overyone thinks + you might be really good with that killer, sure. But no way anyone in all seriousnes can say this Killer is on the same level as Nurse, Blight, Spirit, etc. Hell no.
lol nice contradiction.

if everyone just quit without explaining why and it was a common grievance such as not seeing ping in lobby, well how does that issue get addressed? what is with people not having any critical thinking skills anymore.
The issue gets addressed by time limited cosmetics.

Because that's the game. Stop complaining and buy more cosmetics.

Words don't matter. Vote with your wallet.

Wow. So, the original announcement was that all non-licensed skins would be available for shards, but for unknown reasons they couldn't do it with all of the characters at once, so they were rolling it out slowly. Now, before cosmetics for a lot of the popular characters become available, the skins are getting bundled into limited-time packages that leave the store. Cool, cool, cool.
And also the non-licensed holiday-themed skins are "exempt" from being available for shards. Also very cool.
A lot of these things already cost money, so why lie to people and say they're going to be free if they're not? That's the part I don't get.
Not really hard to understand. Money.

"Just don't buy them" is a piss-poor attitude, as it puts the blame on the consumer. It's much like any of the other crap people say in this game. Getting genrushed? Getting tunnelled? Just play better. It's not the players' fault or responsibility to compensate for predatory business practices, especially when BHVR is already potentially breaking the law with their fake-discount crap for linked cosmetic sets (It's illegal to portray an item as having a "discount" when there is no other way to obtain it without said discount, making it artificial).
Hate to break it to you but businesses have been doing this before you were even born. Want it to change? Get into government.

This is one of my favorite DBD phenomena. The more lazy, boring or low skill the killer tactic is, the worse it makes you look for dying to it. And yet in post game, you see the killer getting lambasted for being "trash".
It's like losing to in Street Fighter to kid spamming one button but then ripping on them for being bad.
Or my absolute fave, survs saying GGEZ after getting 4K'd. Priceless. Just quietly leave, you're just making yourself look ridiculous.
They win because they know people get upset from reading text. The mind game never stops.
-
Problem is, the game. Survivors want to escape, bring the most potential to do gens. Killers want to kill to win, easiest way is to tunnel or camp.
They will never change the game. This is what it is. Humans have an uncanny ability to find the easiest path. You're seeing it for the most part.
-
You made the choice yet blame the survivors. Clip doesn't even prove you "right".
-
Shouldn't be the players problem for the fun of others, it's a game. That's the developers problem to make sure everyone is having fun.
-
At least if a survivor DC's you can still get a lot of BP. When Killers DC, it's over and a waste of time.

No camping?
No tunneling?
... No NOED?
Does it stop killers from Camping/Tunneling/Using Perks? No. Just some killers who are afraid of end game chat from foolish survivors being cheeky. But some have taken to this mysterious "Survivor Rulebook" as there actually is one, there isn't.
-
Other than what the game has set there is no "survivor rulebook", it's just a made up concept from salty killers who get upset at in game chat from other fools. Just more fools who believe it's actually real.
-
@Bupkiss said:
Most Survivor perks are crap. What are there, maybe 8 total that players use and dozens that are a complete waste of space. Don't expect DH to stop being meta until a decent replacement is introduced. And remember DH is currently broken and works less than 30% of the time as it should. Think about that, a broken perk with a 30% success rate is still better than most other perks.
Most killers won't be happy until survivors have no perks and start the match exposed for 5 minutes. Even then they will have something to complain about, just look at the forums. They write 3-4 paragraphs pretending they know something about balance which sums up to "I want free hits and survivor should fear the killer constantly". Absolutely asinine.
-
Killer mains that complained to high heaven about DH/DS trying mental gymnastics to defend eruption here. Absolute clown world.
