    Def not...He is between Mid-B and High-C.

He is below killers such as nurse, spirit, oni, hag, demogorgon, freddy, deathslinger, phead, huntress, blight, bubba, billy and Wraith. (and maybe plague depends)

He is better than Legion, Trapper, Doctor, GF , Trickster, Pig ,Clown and Myers Though.

Neutral about nemesis being worse/better than twins.

I think hes A right now so what your saying is debatable. Twins are top 5 and Nemesis although not top 10 is still very much strong. As a matter of fact i think one of his add-ons Marvins Blood "may" get nerfed

  • @Wedeguy said:

Which rank are u that you put PH so low? you clearly don't face good pyramid heads.

Why are you asking what rank i am? I main killer and this is my tier list lol. To answer your question though frequently play killer at rank 1. Also dont assume i am making a tier list with no experience i've fought Pyramid Head a number of times at different ranks and ALSO hes one of the killers i play. Pyramid Head is not low, hes A tier. Why do you think A tier is low?

    @CrowVortex said:

Surprised you put Plague below Nemesis tbh. Far better in terms of infection as a mechanic, Can hit at a distance and over objects with corrupt purge, can hit multiple survivors with it, and also not required to hit for 3 health states, better addons. VS 3 health states, questionable zombie AI, ability to hit over/destroy pallets in tier 2. I don't understand the reasoning.

Hes just better than her. Corrupt Plague is strong but you can crouch the purge while a pallet is down and then you can get away and shes forced to break the pallet at some point, with Nemesis he plays it better because he can destroy it. I see what your saying with Plague though, your saying she should be higher but im not too sure about that..her bad maps are BAD!! lol

Tbf, Trapper without a bag add-on is absolutely a D tier Killer.

My tier list is based on killers with their best variety of perks and add-ons. Even Trapper with no addons may be a C, not even D+

  • @CashelP14 said:

I disagree with a few of the placements but that's just a difference of opinion.

Really just wanted to say I appreciate the fact you had your lowest tier as B and you had mini tiers inside each tier. Usually most people have their tiers include a D tier which I believe no killers are in. Lowest I think anyone is, is C tier but no one is below that.

Yeah everyones good in DBD which although its not the most balanced game is well balanced in terms of ability to express yourself in a or different ways. People who rate killers D and F really dont know the game imo and or they are survivor mains. To me C tier means bad and at that point the character isnt playing the meta or doesnt have a meta base. Clearly every killer has at least a decent base which is why Trickster isnt C+ to me. He's just as good as Trapper, Doctor and Legion who are killers that can definitely 4K and or pip (or double pip) against red ranks. These killers cant handle bad (counter play) maps more than other killers but can most certainly hold their own.

  • Right now Nemesis is A tier

Did you actually just try to imply Trickster is B tier? That he's on the same level as Doctor and Oni?

First off you should question your own ratings rather than critiqing mines with no real base. If you really think that Oni is B tier than you really dont know this game and thats fine but Oni is S tier. Trickster will not get owned (losing) consistently therfore he is not a "bad" killer like i said before and like i'll continue to say. People here seem to either one put words in your mouth because they dont understand you fully because they dont inquire or "ask" or two make assumptions

  • @OopsAllHexes said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2298981#Comment_2298981

Absolutely true, actually. Your "nope" changes nothing. lmao

Trickster is not Slinger, Trickster is not Huntress. Trickster gets shutdown easily if you know what to do.

Another person comparing S and A+ tier to B tier. I never said he was as good as them. The problem people like you (assumers) have is that you make wild assumptions and or put words in peoples mouth. Instead of doing that why dont you just ask me to be more elaborate or go into detail on WHY? Your not gonna change my opinion that way, why do people do this its so annoying!

  • @Hoodied said:

I wanna see you explain how a killer like trickster is good compared to Slinger and Huntress

Your comparing Trickster to Deathslinger and Huntress? lol Why would you even do that? Im not comparing them because they are in two completely different tiers...Like i said and like i'll continue to say and stand by "THERE ARE NO BAD KILLERS IN DEAD BY DAYLIGHT!!

  • @SHYHERIST said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2298932#Comment_2298932

Everything that you have written is suitable for playing against weak survs. I want to do 4k on highlights and not entertain survivors.

So your taking something i said and made a big assumption so let me correct/enlighten you! Everything i said is based off playing against "strong' survivors. I want to (and do) 4k on highlights and play to win period. Whos trying to entertain? #assumptions

  • Nemesis is not weak at all. As a matter of fact there is no weak killer in the game! Everyone is good and "playable" as opposed to most other games with "tiers" Thus every player in one way or another can express themselves in their play. There are "weaker" killers as killers are better or worse from each other but everyone is viable. Nemesis is A right now so hes good although i agree he should/can "be a little better".

As far as the Zombie AI they have they're issues obviously but they still for the most part do their job which is to keep survivors actively moving. In my games zombies get either hits or on rarer occasions a "down" so i dunno what you wat from them. I suggest using the Zombie buff add-ons if you want slightly more consistent zombies.

  • @GrimmGaliard said:

I'd use Breakout if I had it, but I kept Sprint Burst so I could dash to the closest hook to the downed person. I don't care much about spiting the killer or even my own life, I just wanted to save my friends. So at one point I even used For the People so I could instant heal if the killer didn't smack me first, which wasn't very often.

Yeah the problem with non Sabo builds is that they will be more ineffective than the committed Sabo ones and by committed i mean you have to have a build built around Saboteur. To be a optimal Sabo player/user you need the perk Saboteur so that when your not using the tool box (Alex's Toolbox with Sabo addons) you can Sabo a hook real quick and move on. Since your gonna be engaging with the killer and survivor(s) often and rarely doing gens, I think Empathy covers this very well so that your on cue with your Sabotagging. Empathy may be a staple for the mastery Sabo player along with Breakout and Saboteur to be more efficient but the last perk can be pretty much whatever.

If your going for annoyance and or wasting the killers time, Breakdown and Boiled Over is good for that, and throw in Unbreakable for good measure. The problem is your more prone to being tunneled hardcore by the killer (if your caught near or at the end) Sabo builds arent very good but you can make them work depending how much foretell you have and your map awareness which has to far exceed the map awareness of the on average player.

  • The new Sabo masters meta; Sabotuer/Breakout/Empathy/Iron Will, Dead Hard or Spine Chill

Wreck stuff up for em! )

  • @NoelleMina said:

The usual: Saboteur, Breakout, Mettle of Man

Sounds good. Im assuming you take Alex's Toolbox with the good add-ons to potentially give the killer trouble

    Perk rework for remember me

Every time you hit your obsession you gain a token up to 4 tokens. Every time a survivor let’s go of an exit gate switch the gate will be blocked for 15 seconds. During this time it will lose 50% of it’s total progress and consume 1 token

    Interesting

  • @Steah said:

Monstrous shrine should give some permanent debuff to repair and healing speeds if you get basement hooked.

Unrelenting should work if you miss a survivor and hit a wall. It should also have two stacks of stbfl on it.

Amy means necessary should not have a cool down.

Gear head should also work on great skill checks.

Totem spawns need to be fixed or hexes need a weak lingering effect.

Hemorrhage should drain your healing progress if you aren't getting healed.

Vigil should make you recover from all debuffs a lot faster.

A lot of perks get held back by cooldowns for no reason.

No mither should start you healthy, and them break you upon taking damage.

    • Monstrous Shrine suggestion: This is a funny one because of: Self-Unhook difficulty is increased by 5/10/15 %  when in fact you only have a 4% chance of unhooking yourself lol also Self-Unhook penalty is increased by 3/6/9 % but its not like the survivor are trying to attempt escapes with that 4% chance now penalized greater as it misses! I don't necessarily agree with your debuff to repair and healing speeds because theres already Dying Light, Sloppy Butcher, Thanatophobia etc but it definitely needs to be looked at.
    • Unrelenting suggestion: I think this perk is fine the way it is. Its a perk for very beginners until they get adjusted to the game better.
    • Any Means Necessary: There needs to be cooldown on this perk. A survivor should not be able to lift two thrown down pallets in a row.
    • Gear Head: I agree with your perk buff suggestion for Gear Head
    • Totems: I think Totems spawns are fine the way they are, they used to be in worse locations from the killers perspective
    • On Hemorrhage: That would make Sloppy Butcher WAY too strong

Vigil You recover 10/15/20 % faster from the Blindness, Exhaustion, Haemorrhage, and Hindered Status Effects.

    • This effect also applies to all other Survivors within 8 metres of you and lingers for 15 seconds

Buff: You recover 12/17/22% faster from Blindness, Exhaustion, Hemmorage and Hindered status effects

This effect also applies to all other survivors within 10 meters of you and lingers for 15 seconds is what i suggest

No Mither: I think its fine the way it is but why do you think this perk should be buffed?

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

As A killer main i detest Sabo builds. So when people sabo a hook in front of me I will drop the survivor I'm carrying and tunnel the Saboteur to death. That is my sabo strategy

You can lose the game that way but i get ya, good Sabo survivors can be tough to deal with even though there are but a few like me out there. Tunneling is not guarunteed to work as the survivor may run Descisive and or the teammates might have BT

I play Sabo builds seriously and have some success with it and i've saved multiple Survivors in games with my smarts and strategies so no im not wasting MY time, Im being creative in a game that can get boring doing the same builds over and over and over doing the same stuff. If i died every game i played and depiped i would agree with you but this is not the case at all

Clown is so underrated its crazy

Heres a question, who is Clown better than? He really cant stop those gens from going even with gen regression builds. Maybe Clown with Pop/Corrupt/BBQ is underrated but that's even a stretch

  • People can say X Killer is the worst but this is a vague statement because they dont follow up with anything else. I main Killer and i like and play Clown and Legion amongst my other killers and i say that yes he is the weakest next to Legion but i also add that in no way is Clown "bad" and neither is Legion. When people say "weakest" they automatically assume that the killer is not viable and this is not the case.

There are no bad killers in DBD and everyone is viable on some level that can give red rank and or good survivors trouble. With that being said, again Clown and Legion are the weakest killers but at C+

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/103463/aftercare-so-good-most-underrated-perk

As someone who typically ends up as the gen jockey I find Bond works fine for keeping myself undetected. My view is why use Aftercare when Bond will basically do the same thing? If you don't see people near you and don't hear a TR then you know the killer isn't close (unless stealth) if you want to find that injured survivor just move towards the middle of the map and you will almost always find the aura.

I'm not saying aftercare is bad (its great if your playstyle is altruistic) I personally just find Bond more reliable.

I understand that you personally find Bond more reliable. Bond is great but Aftercare is great also. A survivor can be full screen away 1 or 2 gens left and because of Aftercare they can make better assesments of a situation. I dont run Self-Care on my Survivors so if im injured and really need a heal, no matter where i am on the map i can get to the person because of it and get healed.

"Oh that person was working on that far or near far gen and now they're getting chased, I'll go finish that gen they were working on"

    Aftercare is GODLIKE!!!!!!

He's anything from it. Clowns a 115 ms killer with a ability to slow and disorient survivors to get a free hit. He was literally the strongest 1v1 killer in the game until Spirit came around.

His issues are in the fact the best way to deal with clown is gen rush. I dont mean do the objective I mean actually gen rush. So you have to build with anti gen perks and situational awareness perks. If you add chase perks your wasting slots and giving up areas that could be helped with.

Clown requires some level of understanding of the game because he doesn't need or want the normal meta perks. Also his bottles actually requires some skill as well.

Btw not a clown main just know one well.

Oh well I main Killer at Rank 1 (always) and i play 10 killers. Out of the Killers "I" play Clown is the weakest. (I dont play Spirit, Nurse, Hillbilly, Huntress, Leatherface, Wraith)

  • @GodDamn_Angela said:

Is Clown really that bad? I keep seeing him at the bottom of lists.

]: I really enjoy using him and feel like I do fine. Sad to see he is considered the weakest while being, possibly, the least popular Killer.

Clown is the weakest killer imo

  • @Hoodied said:

Rank does not matter and people would abuse this to face new players

Ah! Putting that into account, you get an hour ban and 25% of your bloodpoints deducted

  • I dont like your suggestion about Insidious. You already get penalized for activating the perk next to or near a hook because of the changes to the ranking system. If you get a basement hook then that can give you a lead to a bad situation (gen rush for instance) so it should not be nerfed

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Unless you’re BP farming, BBQ is a wasted perk slot on Freddy. You don’t need it if your top priority is keeping more than 1 survivor asleep at a time. In fact that strategy is essential for high level Freddy play.

So someone has managed to fail a SC skill check and wake up. So what. That still tells you where they are and they won’t be too difficult to find if you were already heading in their direction.

To you it seems like its a waste but to me its definetely not! BBQ is a staple and one of the main reasons i do so well with him at Red ranks. Are you kidding me BBQ is godlike on Freddy! lol

Im not a NOED scrub and im actually really good with Freddy so for me BBQ is a must

  • @Mc_Harty said:

@Edilibs I would not be running Nurses on Freddy. His base aura reading alone is strong enough of a tracking tool. I would swap it out for Sloppy Butcher.

    @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/362073#Comment_362073

He doesn’t need to be nerfed. But your comment supports my feelings that Freddy is a very strong character. I’ve got him to a skill level now that I almost always get 4 kills, very rarely get outplayed, even funnier is that I get a HUGE amount of survivor DC.

Freddy is seen as a joke....until survivors go up against one that knows what he’s doing. A skilled Freddy is a scary Freddy.

I tried Sloppy Butcher on him and although its good as well i much rather have Nurses because those survivors that are "NOT" in the dream state can get semi free heals. Basically Nurses puts more pressure on them. My Freddy is a rushdown one

  • @DudeDelicious I droppped Legion completely for Freddy and he's the perfect Killer for me. I get really frustrated playing Legion because i cant afford to make a mistake at all it seems and it severly hurts me so i dont really like them (Legion) I think Freddy is good like at least B tier and i never agreed with any and everyone that said he is the weakest (or a weak killer) People be buggin! lol

Those buffs i suggested would probrably bring him up to Spirit/Billy tier or right below it so i dont think it would be a bad idea, but your right, people would complain.

Also i agree with your comment about people taking Freddy as a joke until they go up against someone thats really good with him. I love it when people try and disrespect Freddy by unhooking right after a hook because im like "oh" "you just got your teammate tunneled lol

  • @HatCreature said:

Ok hold on, I've been wanting to use Make Your Choice on ma boi but for that to happen everyone needs to be in Dream World. What's your strategy on this?

Ok so I run Ruin/BBQ/MYC/Nurses. After a hook if you can catch a survivor in your path put them in Dream World then go out of Make Your Choice range. There you go, now on your way back the other survivor may snap the rescuer out but by that time your close enough to down them for the Make Your Choice. Even if you dont get a survivor in dream world after a hook Freddy is still scary at this point because you dont know where he's coming from which is the best thing. If they choose to do a close by gen or decide to heal the survivor they just unhooked thats Christmas! lol

I feel that the set i have is the strongest with Freddy. One of the best things about it is that Survivors don't expect BBQ so they wont go for the counter (lockers) and because Freddy has a shorter than normal terror radius even if they skill check out with Self Care when they start healing again its already to late, Freddy knows where they are.

I get very good results with Freddy unless im on a terrible map for him (Haddonfield, Coldwind Farm and Yokahoma Estate) and because im super solid people really arent use to non NOED Freddy so some of the time they wont even make it to end game because i have such a strong perk set with him. Also i think NOED Sucks on Freddy but thats just my opinion.

  • @HatCreature Consider using Unbreakable as well. I actually don't have Breakdown yet but when i do its gonna be Sabotuer/Breakdown/Boilover/Unbreakable. The offering that spreads hooks farther apart from eachother would make it work out a little better.

I find Saboing a commitment of saboing (what to 99% & what to 100%) rare hook saves (you really gotta concentrate on the hooks) and being stealthy. Gens are the very last of the priority here unless the situation grants it

    @ReikoMori Wow...I didn't know that

@ClogWench Well although the Killer will slug it doesnt mean that its totally in they're favor. The other Survivors see's the aura so they will come and lift them up. People also run Unbreakable and Dead Hard so its not as easy as it sounds (to slug)

@Shad03 Thats why master sabotuer survivors wont do hooks near basements! )

  • @Shad03 said:

I personally never care. Sure I'll be like 'You little [Bad Word]' and then go after you, but chances are I have Hangman's Trick or Iron Grasp and can get you to a hook easily.

Cause one way or another someone IS going on a hook.

Other then that, it's either I catch you, hook then hit you, and leave. Or you don't finish, I catch or lose you, and the game continues from there. It all depends on the killer.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/213/GG9EDA366Z94.png

Actually Irongrasp is a direct counter to a sabbo Survivor. It would take a whole Sabbotage squad (team) to be effectove with Sabetour

    @Edilibs said:
Yes it is a overrated Perk. Now im not saying that Ruin is bad in anyway but what im saying is that it is not a top 5 Perk AT ALL! Hex No One Escapes Death is BETTER than Ruin. Ruin sucks compared to NOED. As i main Killer and Rank 1 after every reset I personally stopped using Ruin as much as i did in the previous resets and have been using other Hex perks instead.

The first problem with Ruin is that there are not enough spawn locations for Hex Totems so I believe there are 3 or 4 spawn locations for them and high rank Survivors know where these spawn locations are. You can go and look at your Ruin's location but you obviously cant protect it and as soon as your in a chase goodbye Ruin.. This sometimes happens within the first two minutes of the game.

The absolute worst case scenario is when it spawns right next to the Survivors spawn location. I recently had Ruin destroyed within 20 seconds of the game. That's bad!! Of course in my head im like man, I could have just used Brutal Strength or something. Survivors spawning right next to the Ruin is not something that happens all the time but its also not too uncommon.

I feel should either one, add two more spawn locations for Hex Totems or replace some of the spawn locations. I remember seeing a Hex Totem right outside the Killer Shack right out in the open and im like "Im screwed with Ruin this game" They're gonna see that! I've seen some pretty bad locations where Hex Totems spawn and i know you all have as well. Even The Hag who is the best at defensive options cant protect it long enough because people crouch to the spawn locations. Since I main Hag and play three other Killers, as Hag i place multiple traps in the area to better so called secure my Ruin Totem. One game i even placed 4 traps and none of them triggered. That's hardcore

Like i mentioned before i stopped Running Ruin so much and i've been focusing on playing without it. I actually replaced Ruin with Hex: The Third Seal with my main Killer or Devour Hope. I also have been focusing on dual Perks that are better than Ruin, so i basically replace Ruin and one of my staple Perks to compensate for Ruin.

Ruin can get bodied within the first minute of the game and all you Killer mains like me, i know this has happened to you multiple times so in my honest opinion again, Hex Totems need more Spawn locations. I must admit that sometimes the locations are pretty well hidden and can utilize this but then in the back of my mind im like in the end they know all the spawn locations. If Survivors DONT happen to know spawn locations it can work as it takes time off of doing Gens with them looking for it. I've been in games where I intercepted or chased Survivors away from Ruin only for SWF Survivors to tell them "Hey Im being chased" Ruin is in X location. Lol Im pretty sure you all have encountered this scenerio maybe more than a few times

Ruin is not overrated, you must be drunk.
When not immediatly found it is a extremely powerful perk, when not the most powerful, because in the first 2 minutes the game decides, if you get any kills or none at all (rank1)

lol smh Actually Ruin is like i've said many times already "slightly" overrated and once again i say this because of how fast it can get bodied. I mention that using dual perks is sometimes better than using Ruin. Im a very insightful person and im a thinker so please find another way to communicate your disagreement to something i say because saying "im drunk" is clearly an insult and will get us no where....
If your a kid then...I guess that['s different

  • I updated my tier list once again to add Legion into the mix. I made some changes by moving Hag and Huntress up and moving Hillbilly down a tier. In no way is he in the same tier as Nurse, she's in a league of her own.

  • Honestly i dont think something like this would work. I see you thought this through so im not trying to talk down on it i just dont think that this idea should be in DBD. One major thing is that it would kill off Hex: Thrill Of The Hunt

  • @Wahara said:
The percentage of survivors that can consistently hit great skill checks at rank one is significantly small. There are reasons to not run ruin that are legitimate, but that isn't one of them. You don't choose to not run a perk in fear of a whopping 5% (I think? There were stats released. It's somewhere around there.) of survivors.

The only real reason that carries any weight for why ruin suffers is the poor RNG, otherwise, it's a damn strong perk. And while I grant RNG is an issue, that chance to slow down the early gen rush is so critical to securing early game momentum that it's worth the coin toss. It doesn't need to last the whole game, it only needs to last long enough to do its job, which is a hook before one gen is complete, preferably. Which RNG aside, it usually does do that much.

    @ "But totem spawn locations"

Sure. Really experienced survivors know where a lot of the spawn locations are, but again, the actual percentage of rank one players that know where every single spawn is at is pretty low. Most only know the obvious spots by heart, i.e next to a gen or inside/outside killer shack. Again, not running a perk in fear of an extremely small subset of survivors who know every spawn location isn't a good idea.

So, that brings us back to RNG. Which, yes, ruin gets boned by bad luck sometimes, but so do a lot of powerful perks. Sometimes I go entire games without getting to actually take advantage of haunted ground or make your choice, but they're still strong. Honestly, I think people just pick on ruin because it's still as meta as it ever was, even after the healing changes that people claimed would be the new meta. Survivor mains in particular like to take a dump on ruin because know it's powerful and like to reduce its use to killers not knowing how to pressure well, lol.

I like how you summarized this. The only issue that i have with Ruin (Hex Totems) is that Survivors can spawn right next to it. It should be changed to all Hex Totems spawn outside of (x) meter range of survivors at the start of a match. It does ensure that at least one survivor gets off a gen which is good. You know whats pretty good against Ruin actually? Stakeout & Premonition. If a survivor can get 3 to 4 tokens then thats good enough to get one gen done without regression or close to it depending on the skill check rng

    1. Nice essay.

    1. NOED and RUIN are both noob stompers. They won't be effective at lower ranks.

    2. The chances of your totem spawning in front of a survivor are very slim.

    3. There are NOT 3 or 4 totem spawns.

Right, that's why i corrected my initial post with a later one that said there are more than 3-4. You gotta read through posts thoroughly. Believe it or not Survivors spawning next to Hex Totems are not as slim as you may think. Personally i have had more than a few games that i can remember where it has been destroyed before i can even make it there to monitor the area.

Once again ruin is only slightly over rated. I feel that you actually need Ruin at the higher ranks (1 & 2) because the game is that much Survivor favored and its mostly survivor favored because the majority of the maps are bad for Killers. That and SWF of course. So a game can go like; Killer see's Survivor near Hex Totem, Killer chases him or her. SWF tells the others where it is. Its so corny but it is what it is, this is the game. This is why i say that sometimes dual perks, other Hex Totems (although they can get bodied fast too by survivors spawning right next to them) and end game perks are more effective than Ruin. What do you think?

Read your post thoroughly? You just said you corrected it later. I don't check up on posts that I commented on weeks ago. Anyways, It's simply RNG, some totems may spawn next to survivors, some may not. You seem to be pretty unlucky!

No, what i was saying was that after i made the thread i made the correction with a later post. Its fine, its no big deal. Not unlucky because Ruin has helped me many games as well

  • Theres mixed opinions about Hex: No One Escapes Death. Some look down on it saying things like "its a pity or shame this decent or good player runs NOED" Others say it compensates for a Killers so called lack of skill. These are not plausible. For one the Survivor has the option to look across the whole map to eliminate NOED by destroying all the dull totems. If its end game and a survivor gets insta downed rather than thinking "damn i should have been more careful" or "i should have been checking for dull totems" They think to themselves or outloud "Oh of course he would have NOED he's not good or that good" or this person is a noob, sucks etc.
This is a very weak and narrow minded mentality and it goes to show how much people dont or have very little respect for they're own game on top of other things i wont mention atm.

Survivors are running Decisive, Adrenaline, Sprint Burst, Flashlights, Insta Heals etc etc and they have the nerve to complain about someone using NOED???

So if a prominent DBD player see's the Killer using NOED then they lose respect in they're eyes LMAO!!!
Why cant a Killer be a good or great player but still use NOED because of the mentioned above. Maybe they're tired of getting taken loop to loop, having to juggle or leave the Decisive (which btw you have to juggle a decisive player 3 separate times in order to sacrifice them) possibly juked, flashlighted, SWF etc and they want an end game!

Btw Survivors dont make it any better by teabagging killers constantly at the Exit Gates or throughout the game. No justification, just saying. My whole point is that DBD is a Survivor based game so just because a killer is using NOED does not make them bad which is the mentality some have.

The bottom line is that DBD is a Survivor favored/heavy game so we should not have a negative assumption or lower based preconceived notion those that run NOED. When i play Survivor and i get hit with NOED i just say "damn" should have done xyz. I basically take responsibility for my actions or lack of, something most people are not willing to do i've come to see

Edit: Lets not forget that the game is survivor favored partially (i would even go as far as to say mostly) because the Maps are not in our (Killer mains) favor, thats a fact!

  • Whats your opinions on the new map for Killer? They have removed this snow map and are working on fixing it as crashes almost constantly but I have had maybe two games played all the way through. My initial impression is that it is pretty balanced and neither killer nor survivor favored.
Its daytime and its easy to see Survivors on this map. There's some new loops and the inside of the storage place has good hiding and stealthing spots.

Now Cold Wind Farm THAT is a hard map for Killer. Like...its pretty difficult. That cornfield....Then again all cornfield maps for us Killer mains are really tough. When i play Survivor on these maps i feel like i have a distinct advantage

    1. Nice essay.

Survivor favored. Gens go by really fast and it is still easy to loop Killers. How are your anti-healing strategies supposed to work if Survivors keep looping you? You are forced to either keep chasing the Survivor and hope that you can get that hit in before too many gens have been completed or disengage and have to find a healthy Survivor and hope that they don't loop you long enough for the rest of the gens to be completed.

Right. Or....abandon the chase and or God loops to stop the gen objectives. There are more than a few loops where you as the smart Killer must abandon because its too hard to get the hit. If a chase goes on for a duration of time and the Survivor goes to yet another loop the Killer will in most cases go the other way thus abandoning that chase because its not worth it.
I also stopped chasing Decisive players

So you agree it's Survivor-favored, since despite being the supposedly weaker role in this asymmetrical game, they can effectively force the supposedly stronger role to leave them alone.

Of course it is! That's what i said in the initial topic. Its hard for Killer man! )
