  • Survivor feels awful and so does killer. Maybe I'm just terrible at the game at this point idk.

  • @EvilBarney666 said:

Yun Jin makes the stupidest sounds when she is being carried to the hook. Lol it's so bad. Really listen to it. I laugh everytime I carry one to the hook.

Yeah she sounds like she's puking or constipated lmao

  • Tru3ta1ent has been saying for YEARS now to balance the game on hooks and not kills. But the community wanted to cancel him instead.

  • @sinkra said:

Because you can already tell what the game's gonna be like early on. If people are going down in the first 2 min and no one is on gens then many players see it's hopeless and just want to get out asap to the next game.

This is so true. If someone goes down within a minute of game starting it immediatly feels like a mountain to climb. It depends on the killer, perks, and if survivors are on gens or not. If you have a Blight with pain res and no one is on gens. Forget it lmao

  • I'm actually having the most fun I've had in awhile on survivor today. Escaped a handful of matches and died a handful. Probably 50/50. It could be fun just because I'm not running into Pain Res and UW every game though lol

  • @Gabe_Soma said:

They need to remove 2 stacks at least and deactivate it in end-game.

Deactivate it at endgame? So you spend all game earning the stacks then just lose them at end game when it's likely needed most?

And limiting it with 4-man SWF is still creating problem? Almost all killers will use this option and they will not go against 4-man SWF. So those SWF teams will not get any match.

You are just banning people from game without actually banning them. Your solution makes zero sense and by business-wise, this never going to happen. There is no company will do thing like that.

They shouldn't get a game or even deserve to get a game. It's a 4 man on comms with all broken perks and second chances in a 4 man trying to stack everything in their favor at the killers expense. Killer stands no chance against these teams unless they throw. There are a certain percentage of these teams who go in to make the killers life miserable and as far as I'm concerned those teams can take a jump. They ruin the game for everyone. They ruin it for solos and they ruin it for killers. It's OP as hell and no one wants to admit it.

You know, I always see that said in response to making SWFs opt-in: That no Killer would go against them. Almost like they aren't fun to play against.

Perhaps make it so that the opt out only applies to a full four man SWF.

As I said: When a match is going fairly evenly with the survivors getting gens done and I'm getting downs/hooks, things can be a blast. It's those lopsided matches that stress me out that are at issue.

Close matches are fun even when they are against SWFs. But when you get your ass stomped and they finish all the gens in 4 minutes and sabo, blind, and use cheap second chances that they don't even need because the deck is already stacked in their favor yes it sucks and its not fun. You can picture the 4 people laughing there ass off at you on the other end of the game.

Unless you are getting good teams on bad maps with a weak killer and a whatever build every match then I do not see how someone with your hours can be struggling so much. My whole clown example was not me trying to brag either, I am just saying that if someone like me who has about half your hours at I would say a decently high mmr can win games then I am surprised you are struggling so much.

Even just the sheer common nature of people simply just making huge mistakes and you slugging say 2-3 people (I have had survs with a lot of hours do this even). Also tunnelling a guy out is only a good strategy if you can do it since focusing on 1 guy means you are pressuring nobody else.

I'm not struggling every single game. I get 4ks, 3ks, 2ks, 1ks, and 4 outed sometimes. But every 2 out of 10 games one of those unwinnable games happen where the gens are done faster then I can do ######### about it and it feels like a rigged contest every time. I'm fine with losing because I played poorly but what I'm not fine with is those games where it feels like the only way I could have won was to be at 4 places at the same time or it's not enough pressure.

  • So survivor has to be asleep, even though add on doesn't say anything about that. I don't play a ton of Freddy so I guess I didn't know that.

  • @GeneralV said:

Wish I could help, but this add-on is so bad that I usually don't even get it from the Bloodweb.

I've killed many cocky tbaggers who thought they were safe with this add on so its S tier to me lol.

  • @Astel said:

Survivors should be in the Dream to that addon to be activated.

Thats wack if thats the case. It doesnt say anything about that on the add on. Just says recently opened gates are blocked for 15 seconds. It's a mini blood warden.

Here's the clip. What the hell is this or am I totally dumb and overlooking something?

  • @RpTheHotrod said:

Survivors are the power role these days. They get so many second chances and so much ability to extend chases - it's ridiculously easy against m1 killers. As long as you are half decent at looping, m1 killers don't stand a chance.

I mean, look at this. The match just began like 2 minutes ago. First hook and 4 gens are completed.

1600 hours of DBD experience, btw. It's so easy these days that I'm even running diversion as a joke perk.

    https://youtu.be/rvA4deFYqJM?si=NkH2IhZFru3LAnza

That's what everyone single survivor team is 100% capable of doing if they actually just focused in on there objective. It's pretty damn scary and yes it's a joke.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/400494/gen-speeds-are-super-fast

I am on around a 10 win streak with clown without corrupt and my mmr is decently high for killer overall. It is really not as hard as you think once you actually learn the game.

I have 4,000 hours in the game id guess probably 2500 to 3000 are on killer. Please stop with the "once you learn how to play the game" nonsense. This is the gaslighting that goes on in this community. I know how to play, when I get into an unwinnable game I know. I can try everything and still lose. I'm not a fan of hardcore tunneling people off hook either, it's boring. So that takes the easiest avenue to victory away because I don't care to play that way. I'm happy for you that you have 10 wins in a row with Clown, good for you.

  • @jajay119 said:

Gens are not too quick. They're already a chore at the current speed and as a survivor main I very rarely stack with other survivors on a gen. If you're struggling it's likely because you're committing to a chase with a player who has tried to distract you and is good at looping. Leave them and go after other people who are sitting on gens. The amount of matches I've had where three gens pop within 2 minutes is always because killers get tunnel vision and over commit to one survivor who they get obsessed with downing. Rather than expecting the game to be changed and made yet more dull experiment with your play style first.

I'm very self aware of how long I'm chasing. I try not to chase one survivor for more then 30 seconds or let's say 2 pallets. It doesn't matter. I'm talking about M1 killers for the most part. Drop chase and try and find someone else which sometimes takes 30 seconds by itself with the lack of movement speed and map size. It doesn't matter someone is always on a gen somewhere.

  • @Xendritch said:

As a strictly m1 killer player I promise they're fine and viable and I'd even argue they're in the best spot they've ever been in (unless you're Freddy plz don't play Freddy).

Dude I don't know where you're coming up with this. These killers are horrible. Trapper, Myers, Freddy, Ghostface, Legion. The pace that survivors are working at chases are just to long even when you manage a quicker chase. The lack of movement speed and any form of slowdown in their kits is really killing these "killers." Corrupt feels needed and some type of snow ball needs to happen.

  • Myers both stalk speed increases should be base kit honestly. Even with those sometimes you can't stalk fast enough if the survivors know how to starve you. His base kit stalk is a dumpster fire.

  • @HugTechLover said:

Of pop and pain res every single match. Feel like I have to complete 7-8 gens a game to escape.

    pain…. That is all :,)

every time, hacking movement speeds, insta wiggle from pick up.

I met so many hacker in past few days

Looks like discount dbd will be culprit too, when they can buy it cheap and exploit for new account.

I had a survivor on my team who was hacking last night. The killer couldn't hook them, would immediatly get off the killers shoulder.

  • @pizzavessel15 said:

think about it. bhvr is adding more and more stuff that just PROMOTES THE SURVIVOR TO GET UNHOOKED INFRONT OF THE KILLER. basekit bt made it so you dont have to worry about the killer moving out of the area before unhooking, and even then the survivor almost always just tries to get infront of the killer with bt. removing hook grabs made it so the survivors can run up and guarantee the unhook. not to mention theres now anti face camp. bhvr is adding things that just promote the survivor unhooking near the killer. that plus alot of killers now have a ridiculous amount of safe guards, gens fly, more and more survivors are becoming toxic etc. these are the reasons tunneling have dramatically increased. killers are doing everything possible to win because survivors are making it feel as bad as possible to loose or the killer youre playing as feels so bad to play.

I'm gonna agree with the killers feel bad to play. The m1 killers are a laughing stock play toy at this point. Gens go so fast it's laughable when playing one these killers lmao

  • Yup this combo is totally BS. Have you had it used on you at an exit gate yet? Freaking infuriating. You get a down right before someone escapes they use this broken ######### and they're both invinsible and escape scott free. Garbage.

  • Everyone here knows whether they want to admit it or not. When you go against a team that finishes the gens in 4 minutes it's a SWF. Probably a 3 man. The gen speed in this game totally breaks when you go against these teams. That's the problem.

  • @fussy said:

Because without these perks the game lasts literally 4-5 minutes against not potatoes and these perks the only chance to slowdown game somehow?

These people don't seem to understand that when survivors play the game correctly the games last like 6 or 7 minutes tops and sometimes 4 or 5 minutes. Many people just play with garbage solo q teammates who never touch gens and think survivor is underpowered. Not when someone is on gens at all times then anyone but Nurse, Blight, Spirit can't do ######### to stop it.

Here's an example in a game i JUST played.

So i intentionally was playing nice. Trying to go for chases and go for multiple hooks on everyone. I hook a guy near a gen at like 80%, there were 3 gens left for them to do. I leave the hook, start chasing someone else. The guy gets unhooked right. So i turn to look over, and he IMMEDIATELY hops on that gen at 80%. Meaning i now KNOW he doesn't have OTR, he doesn't have DS, he doesn't have BT, he has nothing. He is still injured, and he isn't healing.

In this situation, i chose not to go for him, because i was intentionally playing nice. I ended up still getting a win that game anyway, and that isn't what is important. The point i'm making is. If i had gone after that guy, and punished him for his mistake there. I would have been called out, called a "tunneler trash killer" etc. So my point is. Why is it ok for survivors to do what the guy did, but the killer punishing that guy is suddenly some kind of grand injustice? I'm merely pointing out the double standard here and wondering why most people aren't seeing it.

Dude I understand you 100% and agree with you but it's totally pointless arguing with these people on here. You bring up a very valid point and a observation of total hypocrisy from the survivor side.

My favorite is when you kick a gen and it has blast mine on it and the survivor nearby finishes the gen while you are standing right there blinded and can't do anything about it. Just totally cocky and absurd gameplay but it's ok. Killer does anything even close to this crap and they get immediatly flamed and called out.

  • I know right off the bat usually within the first 2 minutes of a game if its unwinnable as killer. 2-3 gens will pop and whichever survivors you engage with at the start if they are even half way decent loopers it's the kiss of death as killer. 2k at best if you play like a sweaty campy jack ass.

I agree that they are doing amazing this year and that the communication has become so much better and I really hope they continue doing this.

But I also think people are allowed to not be happy with the road map. All the changes shown are great, but it’s still frustrating that we’ve been asking for YEARS for Freddy and Myers changes and the last things we’ve heard are they’ve been pushed back and they still haven’t even got an idea for what they want.

What they are doing is great and I understand they can only work on so much at a time, but it does feel bad that by the end of this roadmap it will have been over a year since we were told Freddy changes were “on the radar” and we probably aren’t even closer to seeing them then we were back then.

It probably wouldn’t have been so bad if they hadn’t nerfed Freddy this update, and I think that’s why so many Freddy fans are complaining, but them nerfing the only fun and skilful thing about him and then showing us that he won’t receive any compensation for over 6 months just seems like they have forgotten about Freddy.

This this this. Stole the words out of my mouth. I'm still going back on like old Otz videos and other streamers from like 4-5 years ago talking about how weak Myers is and he needs adjustments. And we in 2023 and still nothing lmao.

And Freddy needs a ton of help to. 2 massive horror icons basically shelved and forgotten about. Stuff is on the horizon finally, but still over 6 months out. Like come on already.

He's the worst designed killer in the game for how the game is actually played.

I really don't understand the criticism of tombstone. It adds a fun wrinkle to the game and you hardly ever see it. I have thousands of hours in the game and have been tombstoned probably less than five times.

Being in tier 1 moving 105% speed is complete trash design. With no lunge either. Both of those have to go. He should be 110% speed in tier 1 with a normal lunge.

If you run into survivors who starve you to death of stalk you can be in tier 1 still by the time 2 gens are already competed. His kit is outdated especially for how gen speed is. Early game is CRUCIAL!

  • While I get where you're coming from I find it ridiculous it has taken them now what 6 years+ to not just tweak Myers and make his stalk slowly regenerate? Only killer in the game who can completely lose his power. I don't think this is such a major change that would take ages or am I wrong?

  • @Alen_Starkly said:

Tombstone Myers is worse than the old moris. Having to jump into lockers healthy just to avoid getting eliminated from the game instantly sucks. Getting caught and moried immediately sucks even more.

Could you at least disable the tombstone addons?

Yes after the buff his base kit.

  • @BlightedDolphin said:

One of the greatest slasher icons and he’s stuck as the most boring killer to play while also being bottom tier. And for some reason he keeps getting nerfed and the only slightly fun thing about him (snares through walls) was removed this patch.

And now Huntress, one of the most popular and balanced killers, is somehow a higher priority than Freddy is, the third least played killer according to Nightlight. And Onryo is getting a second rework months after her first one while Freddy has been waiting years (and I bet this pushed Freddy further down the balance list).

Once Hag and Twins receive their changes Freddy is going to take their place as the least played killer on the game and seeing Freddy Krueger be the least popular character just feels wrong.

Please BHVR, can we get some idea when we can expect to see Freddy changes? He has nothing going for him. He’s not fun, he has no skill ceiling, he’s incredibly weak, he has next to no good add ons, and he’s not even fun to play against. Please just give him anything.

Uhhhh Myers needs a rework or buff even worse and he's not even on the road map either. Him and Freddy have been left to rot pretty much.

  • They are nerfing STBFL which is a staple for me to make M1 killers feel playable to some degree. What a joke lmao.

  • @Dogma_loki said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/398175/yeah-no-im-going-back-to-play-survivor

If your idea of fun is getting hard tunneled, proxy camped and slugged 90% of your matches survivor is a great fit for you.

    Such a ridiculous exaggeration.

  • No but I've had extreme lag. Survivors are teleporting and rubber banding all over the place the past 2-3 days. This was never a problem for me it just started. And it's all survivors not just 1 per trial. So out of no where everyone has bad ping? I think its a bug.

  • @Gastongard said:

The tittle says all. I played 15 games between yesterday and today. Out of those 15 matches, in 12 someone was tunnelled at 4-5 gens, leaving teams of 3 survivor of which in only 4 games we tried to do the best til the end, in the other 11 games, the next survivor hooked just gave up and sacrificed themselves on hook. Whats the point of playing like that? For both sides, its just a waste of time.

What would be the pros and cons of having a surrender system like many games does? Example, League of Legends.

It could work once the first survivor dies, and for the killer side once a few gens gets done instead of go and face a corner if they feel outplayed.

A surrender option would also end the so tedious hide and seek game that usually happens in a 2v1, where matches can go up to 20-25 min because the killer cannot find any survivor.

What are your thoughts on this?

It's also a waste of time going into games wanting to go for loads of chases and the game ends in 6 minutes from gens being done at blink speed.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3594008#Comment_3594008

They tunnel because it's easy. It is the easiest and most reliable way to win with the least amount of effort.

    Full stop. End of story.

There are 2 types of tunneling. The jack@ss i want to ruin the game for other people at 5 gens tunneling. And the other is hey I only have 2 hooks and they are almost down to 1 gen left after 5 minutes into the game, so you tunnel to reduce the survivor efficiency and maybe get the team to get altruistic and come off gens. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. But its better then trying to go for separate hooks with 1 gen left because if you do that forget it you have no chance your just giving them a free win.

Like we've literally all been there. Made some mistakes in chase. Accidently got blindsided by a flashlight save or a hook sabo'd or you're an Oni on The Game map and can't get anything going and you fall way behind. So you try to get someone out asap. I really can't stand that all tunneling gets generalized into 1 category because that's not how it is. Some people do it to have an easy mode game and some people only implement it when it's desperation mode to mount a come back.

  • @SOULWARRIOR71K said:

What do you think happens more often? Tunneling/camping or someone running ftp/buckle up? As someone who plays both sides, I can tell you one of the answers is not even close.

What happens more often? Tunneling or gens being done in under 6 minutes. You know why a lot killers tunnel?? I'll let you guess.

  • @SOULWARRIOR71K said:

Combo should stay. Really helps against killers who hard tunneling/camping from 5 gens because corrupt, deadlock, nowayout, NOED etc can carry them to a minimum 2k every game against anything less than a 3/4 swf.

Not every killer hard tunnels at 5 gens and not every killer uses that build so that's a rather dumb argument for a lame and strong as hell perk combo to stay.

  • @UnusedAccount said:

I was actually able to get a free escape at end game due to my teammate having this.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/398035/buckle-up-ftp-biggest-bs-in-the-game-at-themoment

If it happened to you four times in a game, at some point, you kinda need to hit the guy that's chasing you. It's like getting flashlight saved four times, at a certain point, it's on you.

Also, them using it in the gate is inconsequential. Heal tech gets them out as well.

It was at the door of the exit gate, not at the threshold where heal tech would work. However what you said about hitting the buckle up user. 2 survivors had the combo and they were both using the same Feng skin, swfing together lol.

  • @Seraphor said:

This is what happens when survivors have high ping. It's not a purely killer phenomenon.

How do you know they're PS5?

I meant I'm on ps5. Not sure what platform the survs were on.

  • If every team just brought Buckle+For The People with all 4 survivors you'd have killers never getting a single hook. That combo is so damn busted it's a joke.

  • They have to nerf that Buckle Up+For The People combo thought. It legit has no counterplay whatsoever and I've been getting robbed of hard earned downs tonight all over the place. Games where I'm barely keeping up and that perk combo comes in and literally just slaps me in the face with an L with absolutely nothing I can do about it.

  • @GoofyGooberRock said:

I've been seeing more and more games now where killers are tunneling hard at 5-4 gens and they would purposely stand and face camp the survivor for them to hop off the hook only to be tunneled down very hard

even when you try to take body blocks for the survivor they would down you and ignore you going for the person they were tunneling hard for

Make tunnelling impossible by game mechanics. But sorry survivors gens will have to take like 120 seconds to complete if tunnelling is not allowed.

  • @KILL3RStoney said:

Ok so to start with, I’ve been playing DBD for the past week and all matches I’ve encountered tunnelling Killers. Even when one gen has been done! the fact that killers moan as an excuse by saying that survivors are being toxic. As long as the killers are happy right!

Cool story. I haven't been tunneled probably in 50 survivor games in a row. Lots of survivors consider everything tunneling now so I don't even trust these posts anymore.

  • I've been bringing Hyperfocus (I'm pretty good at hitting the great skill checks) Prove Thyself, and Deja Vu in the same built. The speed of the gens is hilarious.

  • UW I don't care if they nerf it. STBFL better not get nerfed, I play mostly m1 killers and it's such a god send for these weak killers. Hasnt stbfl been in the game in its current state Myers dropped in 2016??? Why nerf it 7-8 years later? It's a balanced perk.

1 2 3 4 … 13
