Can you call what they did to him a rework? They just did some tweaks. His power is basically the same. I don't think it elevates him in any significant way.
I guess he'll more effective against potatoes. But then that's the only way Legion has ever been effective.
-
I saw no difference as survivor last night. Still getting some awful team mates.
As killer its been a mixed bag.
-
My boy Mikey could use some attention. He doesn't even need a full rework. Just some quality of life changes to his power to put him in a more comfortable spot.
-
Neas. It's still Neas.
-
Dead hard
COH
Unbalanced maps
Toxicity
-
Like with Hag, Twins and others she is proof that strength and fun don't go hand in hand.

Dead Hard, NOED and Circle of Healing
Top three right there.

Mikey is my all time fav.
I also enjoy facing some Oni, Billy, Demo, and Clown.

I would bust out Wallet kun for that absolutely banger of a cosmetic.
You mean the Halloween Kills mask? Yeah it looks fantastic doesn't it. One of my favorites.

If that's the case then you definitely won't see a rework, because no doubt a different license holder will complain that he looks too much like "their" character. The only way to circumvent this is to go for skins and a look that is held by a different license.
None of the license holders could claim that. All the sequels masks look distinctly different to the original. Even the 2018 movie one which is by far the best looking one since the original has the aged, dirty, gritty look to it.

As much as I want to see it happen, it probably never will. Michael Myers is the only killer on the roster that has seen two recent back-to-back movies, which has managed to drum up a lot of excitement for the character. Despite this, not only has he not received a graphical rework, they haven't even implemented a new skin. A lot of people wanted a new Halloween Kills skin, and if we can't even get that, then don't expect a graphical rework.
The Halloween Kills skin is owned by a different license holder. Dbd holds license to the original Halloween movie. Not any of the sequels. Several of the sequels were handled by different movie companies.
Its why the cosmetics that Michael and Laurie have are all from the original. The only other cosmetic they could give Michael from the original is the ghost sheet he wore in the scene where he was toying with Lynda pretending to be her boyfriend.
-
They have no excuse not to give him one. They are clearly getting free reign with the Halloween movie people to visually update their license.

I can confirm this is a bug. It won't happen every time, but sometimes it'll spawn more tiles than it's supposed to.
We haven't actually added more pallets to the House of Pain, don't worry.
Big relief. Thank you.

They said they wont be touching Myers
They said Object was fine because most people who use it end up dying. Then they go and nerf it.
-
They need to look at Mikey next. He doesn't even need major changes. Just some small quality of life changes would put him in a more comfortable spot.
-
Lyndsey Wallace's house too. Love it!!!
-
Haddonfield rework is the only thing I am interested in.
-
Scratched mirror Mikey.
-
Apart from picking maps you like it also allows you variety if you've been getting the same maps constantly.

It looks really good so far. They actually added Judith's room in the Myers house, which is cool. Hopefully they will add more references to the Halloween movie.
In the previous pics you can see the Doyle house where Laurie was babysitting when Mikey attacked her. And in Mikey's house there's a little toy fire truck in front of a TV set which can be seen in the opening scene of the movie when Mikey is a kid walking through his house to go kill his sister.
-
Halloween (1978). The grand daddy of slasher movies.
-
Loving it. Cannot wait to see new Haddonfield. Its really seems to be capturing the vibe of the town from the original Halloween movie.

i mean even if you are playing nice, 15 minutes of unlimited instant down is long time.. to kill survivors. I think many killers can win in like half the time even when playing nice. Just myer things.
The reason the match lasted 15 minutes is because he was playing nice. If he played aggressively the game would have been over in half the time. Nothing to do with Myers things. Its his play style choice. Even at the end he had someone on hook and left the hook entirely and gave them a free save.
This was someone who was not playing to win.
-
@Tsukah said:
The same can be said for survivor. Playing solo survivor just isn't fun.
True. But you got to deal with more stress and toxicity on the killer side.

Sluzzy is a Nurse main and a better killer (and troll) than the vast majority of this forum.

agree with your post.
its funny that people can beat myers with permanent evil 3 for 15 minutes straight. poor myer
That Myers was playing really really nice. Even Tru3 says so. If he'd been more ruthless he'd have killed most if not all of them.
-
Survivor mains. Have you just been reading Sluzzy's posts or something?
-
Yeah I faced a cheater bot Myers the other night. He had instant tier 3 and tombstone. Plus he had every killer perk in the game equipped too.
-
Feng sounds like a squeak toy. I've no issue silencing that with death.

I went against the same last night, on EU servers too. It was called "The Shape_01", needless to say it was a very short match. I actually went through the hassle of reporting it, with video evidence. Didn't realise at the time that I was wasting my time reporting a bot :).
Yep that's the same one we faced. The Shape_01. In the match we had him he had bamboozle, brutal strength, enduring, spirit fury, starstruck, iron maiden, make your choice, ruin, undying, dead man's switch, agitation, iron grasp, dying light, crowd control, cruel limits, scourge hook pain resonance......it was crazy.
-
My friends and I faced one just last night. This one is on the EU servers. Its Michael with instant tombstone and perma tier 3. He also has every killer perk in the game equipped.

Blight, demo, spirit, and oni lately. I would play other killers if COH wasn't such a pain in the gluteus maximus.
I'd have thought COH was a huge pain to the Oni.
-
Only Day 1.
-
I agree. Day 1 was by far the best.
-
Still my main Mikey. Even the sweatiest of SBMM cannot tear me away from him.
Once in a while I'll do an occasional Clown, Wraith and Plague match.
-
An Oni let me go the other day when two of my team mates killed themselves on first hook.

@jesterkind said:
I really do think people exaggerate how weak Myers is, but I do think he could do with a few tweaks to help modernise him a little. He mostly suffers from being kinda slow and clunky, which worked on his release but hasn't kept up with the faster pace of the game today.
I agree. He's not even in the bottom three killers in my opinion. But he does needs some quality of life changes to put him in a better spot.
-
They're not going to remove one of the most popular licensed killers in the game. That's insanity. Thousands of players have paid money for him. Not to mention regularly play him. He's got one of the best pick rates in the game.
@Mandy said:
What do you think the issue is, what suggestions do you have for improvement?
My personal suggestions are;
- Let him start with his tier 1 at 99%. That way he can just tap himself into tier 2 or stay oblivious in tier 1 if he wants.
- Have stalk regenerate on survivors. There should not be a cap on his power. That's a very outdated mechanic. Bubba and Billy are not limited on how many times they can chainsaw survivors. There's no cap on how much blood Oni can get off survivors. Michael should be extended the same courtesy as other insta down killers.
-
I like it 😐️
-
It's definitely weighted towards the killer side. Always has been. But to be fair most of their issues and complaints are legitimate.

I'm ngl, I love Scratched Mirror on RPD more than Hawkins. It's the only reason I'd play that map. You know the staircase at the east part of the map? I would sometimes vault that window and fall on top of the survivor working on that gen. It's very funny.
I usually have more success with vanity mirror on RPD. But yeah that is a great jump scare spot.

I played last night (March 30) as survivor solo queue and the games seemed pretty solid. Didn't pull out any hair or see any hook suicides.
...it's a start.
Same. But the killer matches were very rough. Full on sweat meta.
-
I only enjoyed it for jump scare Mikey. Other than that I do not miss it.

It can work for sure but I don't think it's that consistant of a strat when you're going against people who know what they're doing
The survivors I find myself against typically pay attention. It's why stealth killers drop off in strength somewhat after a certain point
There's nothing they can do to stop him getting stacks. Especially when he can see his obsession when ever he likes and farm the stacks.
Boons is the only thing that stopped me from playing jump scare because being able to heal quickly all over the map infinitely was killing the build. You can't get downs if they heal repeatedly and quickly like that for free.
-
@Brokenbones said:

What I do when I know it's a mirror myers is I just always assume I'm visible to the killer so I just work on gens and never stray too far from virtually anything I can run around. Even if it's the worst pallet in the game a mirror myers will take a while to catch up and hit me around it
That's why you run PWYF. You get your stacks for those rare situations.
-
Why has hit and run suddenly become viable? Survivors with their dead hard and iron will don't really care about being injured.
-
@Brokenbones said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2877281#Comment_2877281
Even on indoor maps, survivors who pay attention will basically never go down to a mirror myers. Sometimes he'll get a free hit in but yeah
Unless you can see through walls and spot him he'll get a hit. Spine chill is the only true counter to it and even then a competent Myers can overcome that by looking sideways when approaching. That's how I do it and it usually always works.
-
Its March 31st my friend.
-
@Brokenbones said:
Competent survivors laugh at Mirror myers
105% movement speed turns basically anything into a psudeo infinite, it's hilarious. You can run a mirror myers around a z wall for ages
If you're running with a mirror Myers then the Myers is playing the build all wrong. Its not a chase build. Its a surprise attack build. Hence the label jump scare Myers.

Which happens like once in a lifetime?
You must be playing in low MMR if you only get lobbys with one boon.
