I really enjoy facing her as survivor. She's a fun killer to go against. I've only played as her once so far when I got my adept achievement, and she was fun to play as, too. Definitely require some practice to get better with the vomit projecting.
-
I don't know the stats for the odds but I have been getting the new map a lot.
-
Not really. Played on a few of the oldies and they feel the same as always. The new map feels really big even though its supposedly smaller than the regular Red Forest.

By observing survivors who prefer to be immersive -> 99% of them get downed in 20 seconds max.
99% in 20 seconds. Thank you for those completely unsupported "statistics". This thread is done for me. If I want to read fiction I'll pick up a fantasy novel.
Carry on.

And you miss my point that I'm not dictating what should be fun, but trying to explain that those who prefer beeing immersive are just bad at chasing (same with killer who camp are bad) so they can't even know how much fun it is to be good at beeing chased. Not even using the fact that beeing immersive isn't optimal gameplay.
That is equally ignorant. How do you know they are bad at chasing? Have you observed every immersive player in numerous chases? Every player has a preferred play style.
Its not a fact that immersive isn't optimal either. I've seen many immersive lobbies survive. Now you'll probably say that's because the killer was probably bad in those situations. Likewise I can counter that strawman by saying any gung ho players who was able to go right in and run the killer around were just facing bad killers.
You're making blind assumptions based on nothing. Often immersive style works best. Other times it can be completely useless e.g. against a scratched mirror Myers. So how about you stop trying to label players as bad just because their play style doesn't fit your own.

When a killer is extremely good and gets hos 4ks consistently without camping and tunneling BUT still decides to camp cuz that's more fun then fair enough you would have a point.
But 100% killers who camp are either
1. Bad and can't win otherwise
2. Are revenging a T-bagging toxic survivor
3. Have no other choice (endgame)
I don't know a single person who's an extremely good killer but still decides to camp just because it's more fun gameplay for him.
I do have a point, but you're missing the main point. Disregarding the fact that there are plenty of killers out there who love to camp regardless of their skill level, or lack thereof, you cannot dictate what is more fun for someone to do.
What you find more fun may be the very definition of not fun for someone else. So you going around this thread crowing that immersive gameplay is the wrong way to go as a fun factor is both ignorant and redundant.
-
You can't tell anyone what is more fun to do because fun is subjective for each person.
For example I'll never understand camping killers because I can't imagine a more boring game than watching a hook for the majority of a match. But if that's what floats their boat then let them camp.
If people have more fun playing immersive style then they have more fun playing immersive style. End of story.
-
I've seen five people use it successfully so far. So it can't be all that bad.
-
I am really liking it so far. Plague is fun to play against and play as. I've been lucky in that my achievements were not glitched. Managed to get adept on both Jane and Plague. New map is VERY big. Good for survivors, not so great for killers except Billy.
The perk changes don't really affect me as I don't use any of the ones that were altered on either the killer or survivor side, except ruin, which I have at tier 3 anyway.
@The_Crusader What's wrong with the Spirit?
-
It is pretty big. I got lost running around in the main temple building alone lol.
-
That sucks. I got my adept Jane no problem.

My god why does the copying part move at a snail's pace!

Grammar aside, Arroz is just making threads to bait people into arguing but funny how powerbats only say I do it. When it is survivor sided it is okay I guess lol.
You're the last person here who should be pointing the finger at other people for making baiting posts.

My answer is Legion for both.
-
@NoxiousOnnyyxx Harsh. We're only talking about video game characters here.
-
Even now Monto still finds new ways to impress.
-
No. I have never instant dc'ed against any killer.
-
We're talking about ugly female characters and the Hag doesn't get a mention, but Laurie, Feng and Meg do? Hilarious.

Hands down Michael Myers.

But Nancy is a useless character in the movie. Quentin did far more than her while she went "Oh no, Mr Freddy, dont look up my school girl uniform skirt! 😫".
Not to mention Quentin filled one very needed "Survivor type" we were missing, the "male teen". Dwight is the young adult, Jake is the Asian-ish man, Ace the old guy. Even after his release, we still lack another one like him.
I'm not talking about the characterization the crappy remake version got. I mean Nancy in general. Her status as a character in the NOES lore is far more important than Quentin's. Just because she got one bad version of herself doesn't diminish her importance as Freddy's number one nemesis.
-
@Wolf74 ^ There's your answer.
-
Quentin should not even have been the survivor for Freddy. Nancy should have. She is the equivalent to Freddy of what Laurie is to Michael in terms of survivor against him in the movies.

Just my take on it: It's not good for gameplay. With the PTB values and combined with sloppy butcher, it would take a survivor ~57 seconds to self care. That's almost an entire generator's worth of time.
"That's great, though," you might say. But what ends up happening is much like what you're seeing now. Because healing takes so long, you're much better off doing generators instead and waiting for adrenaline to heal everyone. To which you might say, "But the generators would be 24% slower." While true, that adds about 20 seconds per generator (solo).
Added time to generators: 20 x 5 = 100
Time spent healing: 57 x 4 = 228
Worth noting that you might and probably will get hit more than once, so you'd have to repeat that for each time you get hit. Take your pick, would you rather spend an extra 100 seconds on generators *and* get healed, or an extra 228+ on healing and then still have the generators to deal with?
On the surface it seems like a great idea, but it's further encouraging not healing and instead doing generators as fast as possible, which I think is something we can all agree isn't fun.
That was Peanits’ reply to a thread similar to this.
Very sensible answer.
-
I don't think it should be nerfed either, but at the same time I am glad its not getting that huge buff. That was too extreme.
-
@The_Crusader said:
I'm guessing the disconnect against Legion would go even higher if they did.
Bingo.
Personally I am relieved they are not giving thana that massive buff. Imagining all 4 survivors injured in a Legion match with a 24% thana, combined with sloppy butcher would be hell. Legion players already cannot get enough satisfactory games. If that thana buff went through it would be even worse with the dc rates.
That said nerfing thana was not the way to go. It was hardly OP to begin with.
-
It would certainly break the killer tradition of being a human, or human once upon a time.
-
If you're going for an anti healing build then that's a good combo. Coulrophobia would also be good.
-
As a Myers main I will say Coldwind. Corn blindness makes it tough to tier up. Though saying that I don't think many killers thrive on Coldwind apart from Hillbilly.

Played as trapper on PS4. Guy kept running into traps as I put them in not the usual places, so not at every window etc. He added everyone to a PSN message and raged that I need to LTP and git gud and don't put traps in dumb places....
From the guy who kept getting trapped....and died.
Think I got 4k on that match, the other 3 laughed and called him out till he stopped replying. Apparentley I was meant to put traps were who knew they would be...
I admire Trappers who can find original spots to trap survivors. Nowadays it seems most people check the usual places when its a Trapper match. Shack window, at pallets etc.
-
I think if you play any game on a regular basis you will get fatigue with it at some point. Do what others have suggested and take a break. Reignite the flame for when the new DLC drops next week.
-
I don't mind facing Billy. The real challenge is the insane map control he has.

@Chaotic_Riddle That is glorious 😍

So now you are pulling things from nowhere. You are so delusional and trying to construct arguments adding fictional things. Where did I said camping and tunneling is less morally wrong? I never camp and tunnel nice people. And yes I consider it wrong to do so too. You are denying someone any chance to survive.
I seriously don't know why I even argue with you. You guys are selfish and lack any empathy towards other people. You only care about your fun. Speaks volumes about what kind of people you are. I am done here.
And it is obvious you mostly play just one role so you lack any knowledge and just acting impulsively with some tribe mentallity. Some people never evolved I guess.
I never said you champed camping and tunneling. Not once. I was drawing an analogy that it is an aspect of the game that gets a lot of criticism from players because they deem it an unfun and unfair experience, but at the end of the day its still a valid and acceptable form of gameplay where the killer players in question play not for the enjoyment of others but for themselves like they should. That its no more a morality issue than suiciding on the hook to end a joyless match for yourself.
FYI I do not just play one role. Don't make ignorant assumptions. I play to the best of my ability in matches with other survivor players. But I do not hold it against any player for exiting a match as soon as possible, within game rules of course, if they are not having any fun. I'd be the selfish one if I expected someone to waste their valuable free time suffering through a tedious match just to appease me.
-
Dwight's. Made me empathize with him, and admire him more because despite the down trodden background he has, he is the one who rises up as the leader material for the survivor group.
Dwight's the little engine that could.

Ok show me where I included you and mentioned your name in my post please. So ruining game for other people is not morally wrong? How is someone even supposed to argue with you when you can't see a simple fact. Do you have empathy? When you suicide on that hook other people are depiping because of you and are doomed to lose. You are being very selfish and trying to defend your character flaw like many here. But do as you like, no one can force you to be different.
This is what you said in the midst of my discussion with MhhBurgers;
"Why even argue? It is clear that they defend doing something bad, there is no point in arguing with these people. Let them do whatever they want until they are banned from the game."
So who exactly were you referring to when you said why even argue? Second when I addressed your post you responded; "But you are suiciding on the hook and you are the one who found yourself in my post I didn't meant just you.". You clarified you didn't mean just me, so you admitted you were including me.
Your definition of what ruins a game falls in the same bracket as those who complain about camping and tunneling. They say its not fun, its screwing players, it ruins games etc. It is certainly not fun for those on the receiving end of being camped and tunneled, but since when is the onus on the killer player to make sure all the survivors are having a jolly good time and being given a fair chance to get off the hook?
Why is camping and tunneling and ruining the gaming experience for those players less of a morality issue? There's no more of a morality issue there than there is here with suiciding on the hook. As in there is no morality involved at all. You're not morally obligated to other people's fun.
If you enter a match thinking I must make sure player X, Y and Z I am in a lobby with has the best time in this match, that is your choice. Not an obligation for every player.

But you are suiciding on the hook and you are the one who found yourself in my post I didn't meant just you. There are lots of people here who defend dcing. You are the one being illogical thinking there is nothing morally wrong in screwing other prople.
I don't care if you didn't mean just me. The fact that you were including me when there is no grounds for me to be banned is what I took issue with.
There is nothing morally wrong with suiciding on the hook. Its not your job to make sure other players survive. Its not your job to stay in a game for the sake of the enjoyment of others. You are under the misguided belief that you come into this game carrying the welfare and enjoyment of other players on your shoulders.

You don't really get that no matter if you're suiciding or not, if you suicide just against ANY legion then your argument is out of the window, you are not screwing over the legion player but the ppl who wanted to just legitimately play the game. I don't care if you and your 4man SWF all suicide on hook. I don't have to go play another game, I don't DC and the only time I suicide on hook is for the self-unhook achievement.
Also I won't even answer the 19 post masked ad-hominem guy who can't grasp simple facts and thinks I play this game competitively at all.
You don't really get that no matter if you're suiciding or not, whether you are putting your team at a disadvantage or not does not matter. Repeat it does not matter. You as a player are not obligated to stay in the match if you are not enjoying it. You play the game for enjoyment. Not to appease the entertainment of others.
You're in the same choir as those who complain about camping and tunneling. They say its not fun, its screwing players, it ruins games etc. It is certainly not fun for those on the receiving end of being camped and tunneled, but since when is the onus on the killer player to make sure all the survivors are having a jolly good time and being given a fair chance to get off the hook?
Some people live in a bubble of fantasy. When reality pops that bubble they cry foul and scream for punishments to be handed out.
-
It depends on the killer. The weaker ones need it to avoid that early gen rush when you're trying to hunt down survivors and apply some pressure, assuming its not found and taken out early.

Lol how is that toxic? Screwing teammates on the other hand is. If someone disagrees with your bad actions it doesn't make them toxic.
How is that toxic? I have said time and again I do not dc, nor am I defending or condoning those who do dc, yet you say let us "do what we want" until we get banned.
Why would I be banned when I am not breaching any rules? This position of yours is devoid of any logic. So either you are not capable of logical thinking, or you're just trying to be toxic and elicit angry responses again. Given your track record I'm inclined to lean towards the latter.
-
@Eveline said:

A toxic and illogical attitude. Very typical of you. I am not going to get banned because I do not dc from Legion matches.
Is that the kind of angry response you were hoping for?

You never played any competitive game like League or Dota2 or Heroes of the storm then, if you leave you get punished. If you end the game faster by not playing with your team and letting the enemy push, you also get punished (altho this takes alot of reports). If you do the same in CSGO..guess what...you get punished. Overwatch etc, you catch my drift.
I catch your drift, but I don't agree with it for reasons I have already explained ad nauseum. I suggest again go and play those other games you keep citing instead. They obviously run things more to your liking.
Let me also clarify something else I have not mentioned before. I find no gratification in players like Claudette_Baguette who made this topic, or anyone else saying they cannot get any satisfactory games as the Legion. I think its terrible that any players who paid good money on the DLC cannot get the enjoyment they hoped for from it. You're loyal players. You're supporting the game buying their content. It sucks. It really does.
But I do not blame the player base for that (except the ones who break game rules and dc from Legion games). I put the blame on the developers for the bad design of Legion gameplay mechanics which has alienated most of the player base. But even the devs have admitted to their error on that. Hopefully they rectify it somehow. Otherwise in a year's time you're still going to be here complaining about not being able to get proper Legion games.

oh wow great, so because bhvr didn't implement a rule where basically working against your own team is not punishable it's okay.
No BHVR is not punishing people for exiting a match in a reasonable and fair manner, which dying on the first hook is. No rational game punishes its player base for enduring something they find tedious. They want players to enjoy their game. You try forcing them to waste their precious free time sitting through games they find as much fun as a root canal, its a quick recipe to kill your game.
BHVR have exactly the right attitude on this. Don't dc, because as mentioned you are denying killers sacrifice points and potential achievements progress. If you choose to die on your first hook, that is perfectly fair and your god given right to leave a match when you want to.
You have this ridiculous misguided belief that survivor players are beholden to their other team mates and the killer to endure the match to the bitter end. Absolutely ridiculous. No player is obligated in any way to anyone in this game. The only obligation you have is to follow the game rules. You play this game, you're accepting the rules of it. You make your bed, you lie in it.
If you don't like how BHVR handles this, then this is not the game for you. You keep saying other games do not allow this. Then I suggest you go play those other games and get the management satisfaction you're not getting on Dbd.

Favorite: Haddonfield. Big Halloween fan. Love the suburban setting. Very unique. Great map for balanced landing users. I get why killers dislike it though.
Least favorite: The Game. Horrible map for obvious reasons.
