Just make the totem entity blocked for 1 minute like that Plague perk for gens

A cross hair makes a huge difference, because with practice, you can measure and consistently be spot on every time, you will only miss based on the survivors movements and you're skill vs moving targets. If a huntress is good enough, all a survivor can do is stay out of line of fire, and a crosshair really helps.
Exactly, so why preventing people (beginners) from having it unless you buy a new highend monitor with build in crosshair functions?

No. Iridescent head with a cross hair and a cod player. No. As someone who plays huntress I don’t see the need for crosshairs as the hit boxes are the size of the map and besides it’s really not that difficult to hit them. Once you got the general area down it’s an easy hit trust me. And yes I play console, its not that bad. If you really want crosshair just put some masking tape on ur screen and go play kill ur friends whatever it is now to test how accurate it is.
That's a problem if an addon and not if crosshairs. Besides, hardcore fps players have High end monitors and can enable it from there with ez. Your concerns are not valid/wrong.

No man, I have no means to record a clip but it's funny that you mentioned streamers because it was Zubat that I watched doing it a few days ago. He was talking about how crappy the flick was now and he demonstrated it on Lery's, so you can watch the video and you'll see what I mean.
And just so I'm clear, this isn't the insane turn-from-a-lunge Oni had before the nerf; this is a little different. It happens at the very end of the movement so if you turn it right, you'll get that 90 degree accelerated hit at the end of the dash. It may not be all that useful in normal use around loops, especially when comparing it to the old flick, but I try to work with what I'm given and I don't find it entirely useless,
You have no means cuz u can't.

Make a point in the middle of your Monitor and be happy, or do it like everyone else does without a crosshair (who do not complain about every little thing).
Why so negative? Does it hurt your feelings if there would be a crosshair? Jeez, grow up and get rid of your entitlement.
-
@Fibijean said:
It's not really necessary. You don't need pinpoint accuracy, the hitboxes are the size of Mars.
So why is Scott using it? Someone who put over 1k hours into Huntress still feels the need to use it.

And how oftern does this happen? Once a day. Good grief, cry your little tears. I often play SWF and have never been so communicative along the game, cause you know, I just wanna play with my friends and have fun. Overestimating SWF is the only thing this forum can do pretty good.
Then you and your team are just bad. Simple.
-
Oh this little thing, yeah I remember again! It was a cool thing, weird that it's gone for some reason

Huh? Ormond tractor? I never saw tractor. Screenshots available?

Noticed the same
@Peanits is this intention or will it get changed?

The gap between solo and SWF isnt that much like peple try to make it. Every time I play solo there are mostly better teammates to play with, cause I dont get matched with some highrank and his lowlevel buddy.
Also the RNG is what makes this game versatile.
Nothing of those "issues" (one isnt even an issue at all) are main issues.
Yeah good luck pulling this here out in solo Q:

Kindred is awesome now, and NolB is pretty useful
Just cause meta perks exist does not mean you should run them
Buddy, you are so inside your own bubble that you completely missed the point and goal of the topic. Try again.

@terumisan said:
The gap between solos and swf won't be filled since voice communication will not be added to the game and that's a huge part to why its broken since you know exactly what the killer is doing or running which places are dead zones who's on gens ect
I agree, in order to FULLY fill the gap voice coms needs to be added. But actually, many solos don't want that. I don't want it either. And the goal of many solos (me including) isn't even to give them the tools to be on the EXACT SAME level of coordination like swf. The goal is to close it as much as possible without adding voice coms or permanent aura reading. Examples: kindred basekit (at least show the aura of camping killers), totem counter in the HUD, chase indicator in the HUD, rank and perk selected showing the lobby etc.

I played Myers and went in with deerstalker.
Killed 2 normally then for some reason the other two decided to trust me so I let them finish gens. Popped tier 3 and downed them, opened exits and finished.
Gg ez
Alright I just did that and it worked. I finished 2 out early and gained trust to make it happen. Seems like you can't do it the normal way lol

@dnj510 said:
I'm indifferent on lobby ranks being presented to other survivors. I did however notice that when I was(and still am a rank 1 surv) paired up with much lower ranked survivors, they practically always got downed within the first 20 seconds of the match and eliminated no more than a few minutes of being in the match. I did sometimes dodge lower ranked survivors because that would decrease my enjoyment in the trial.
And that's fine! If dodging a lobby allows more fun what's the issue? Killer dodge lobbys with 4 toolboxes aswell... Or PREPARE against it. But solos?? Haaa, no dodging or preparing allowed!! Wanna have fun? Play swf 4head!
These devs are treating solo players like dogshit, honestly!
-
Even better would be this imo:
-
It's the same with showing the ranks in lobby's for solo Qs. NOONE complained, everyone was happy and loved it. And look where we are at. The devs are not respecting us or take our feedback serious. They decide what's good for us since we are little sheep's with 10 IQ who can't know what's good or bad for them.

You said you can't do it so I said to practice so that you can. I don't troll.
Ok ok, I take the bait. Tell me, oh you professional e-sport gamer, tell me how to move the mouse from right/left to left/right. Please, this is some rocket science and I'm a legit 4head so please keep it as simple as just possible without using mathematical and physical terms beyond the comprehension of a human with 2 million IQ. Im excited to read your trick lol
-
@steezo_de said:
You can definitely do 90 degree flicks. If you have trouble with the mouse, use the keyboard. Sometimes I think it even goes further than that, especially when I use both, but I bet if I were able to record it and slow down the replay, it would show I had a head start in the turn. 90 shouldn't be a problem though if you practice a little more.
Uhm, practise? It's just... Uhm.. Moving the mouse. Sorry, you wanna troll me or?

@Hoodied said:
Its pretty hard to balance something that is random, but the gap between solo and swf is being decreased with the Kindred buff recently, same with nolb
Decreased by 0.1% lol. It's still a perkslot which swf doesn't have to use. A perkslot which can be used for a meta perk like DS, unbreakable, iron will, dead hard, adrenalin etc

Like seriously it's the only perk that screws you over Way more than it helps. Like give us a reason to use it aside from wanting our matches to be harder or wanting to use deadhard right away.
Pros: Combos with perks that give you a boost when injured (Although not very many at all) 50% reduction to moan noises, no blood trail, Able to fully recover from dying (When the hell does this happen?).
Cons: One hit, 50% reduction to moan noises, Your chances of being slugged and picking yourself up drop to near zero, waste perk slots on combos that can be done without needing no mither, Pretty good chances of being tunneled, no bonus for escaping, free blood orbs for Oni, etc.
Like come on, at least give me a damn medal for actually escaping with no mither. Maybe a bloodpoint bonus for escaping. Give us something that can really make No Mither worth running.
As of now I see no point in using it aside from memes, a challenge, or David's adept achievement.
You have some false positives:
"50% less moaning sound"
Well, without no mither you have 0% moaning sounds since you are HEALTHY.
Same with bloodtrails
There is no reason to ever equip this perk
-
@Janick I remember you saying that oni can do 90 degree flicks, but noone can do that on pc with mouse. Can you explain what's going on pls?

@Peanits said:
It could be interesting. My only concern would be things like bear traps, since different traps could be harder to see or smaller, making them advantageous over the default ones. Otherwise I've got no issue with it. Use them if you want, don't if you don't.
Have you brought this up to the team? What's the opinion about that in the office?
There is a lot of potential: Billy, Huntress, Clown, oni wraith, nurse etc.

The drawback is that he can get spotted which removes his power. A weakness that wraith, pig and myers don't share. Get over yourself and learn how to use that third person camera you have.
I can spot wraith myers and pig just fine. They all share the same weakness. But all of them besides ghostface a direct drawback.
3rd person camera? Cuz ghostface mains run around in the open and not stealth behind cover amaright? 4head.

His power is already strong enough not to need to vault when he has his power (and his flick back)
His flick back? The devs said he will get it back? If not, I doubt it. Look how they butchered nurse and pretend as if she doesn't exists in dbd anymore. Same will happen to oni, they won't revert the change

Maybe he should vault faster like myers in Tier 3? Would be very interesting

"Our goal for our first Tome and Rift is to base our completion targets on the average daily play time of 1 hour/user, provided by our internal data. Given this, completion of The Rift and all its rewards should take roughly 70 to 80 hours of gameplay, provided players accomplish Challenges from each role."
The above is a quote from the Welcome to the Archives post on the official website (https://deadbydaylight.com/en/news/welcome-to-the-archives)
Thank you for the quote, I wasn't able to recall the source :)

That's a good question.
Anywhere from 1-5 hours I'd say. More if I feel up to it on weekends/days I have off.
I never said it didn't take time, I was just saying it wasn't impossible.
Maybe you got me wrong, let me clarify myself: yes, it is possible to finish the Rift pass if you play A LOT. but to me it seems impossible if you are a casual player and play like 1 hour per day om average. Look at me, I play around 2 hours on average and look where am I at.
-
I can't pull out a quote from my head. If I remember correctly they said that in a stream/video about the riftpass (that information video aka advertising video).
Maybe someone else remembers more and can give you the direct source.

If you take offense to the comment, that was not the intention. I was mostly saying your time restraint and troubles with some of the challenges might be a factor
Well idk, I finished all killer challenges from tome level 2 and I'm currently hunting them survivor challenges down. I play normal. I don't throw a match just because of a challenge, I don't make it harder for my team mates. Maybe the intention behind these "challenges" is to play like a scumbag and sandbag your mates just to be efficient and fast? If yes, then I have to say we have a core issue with these challenges.

Why should players with 1h per day finish the Rift in Time?
Because that's what the devs told us.
-
How much do you play per day?
-
@OmegaXII said:
I'm still around tier 36 too, and there is only 28 days left. So i guess i'm not going to complete it
It's not like we're playing this game for living, we have our things to do.. so don't try to grind the rift.
It's lucky i didn't buy the rift pass
Ikr? To me it looks more likely that the devs want you to play 4+ hours per day. But we aren't streamers, we are just normal gamers.
Oh yeah I haven't bought it either and I'm so happy I decided to wait! For me there is no point to even consider buying the rift anymkde if I hardly finish half of it.
-
@Accullla said:
Finishing the rift is not impossible, but you do need a lot more than 70-80 hours.
I got it done last week just as I finished tier 3 of the archives, but I must have played at least 100 hours. Unfortunately I don't know of any way to check my hours on console.
With impossible I was more likely referring to what devs told us (that 1 hour per day will be enough), you know what I mean?
-
@Jukenobi said:
I have completed all 3 chapters without any real issue. The only one that really required a sweat/time was the NOED End Game challenge. That was pretty rough.
I completed the entire Rift progression within 30 days, and that was casual play. I'm not sure why people are having issues. Playing an hour a day is probably going to make it a lot slower, but that seems like more of personal issue than game/challenge design. The Dark Sense challenge is pretty simple, I completed it first try. I wish you luck on your journey though!
Personal issue? Devs claimed that you can finish it by playing 1 hour per day. And I play 2 hours per day on average. No clue where you see that "personal issue", to me it looks like false advertising or a wrong calculation from bhvr.
-
@epicassassin said:
I would also like to mention that i completed the rift last week. Did all my challenges as well.
How much do you both per day on average?
@shards said:
I finished it some time ago.. but I play a lot every day. They made the third challenges easier so maybe the 4th ones wont be too bad?
Im not sure but for the dark sense one you might just have to be present when the gen gets completed
Good luck.
Finishing the rift will be difficult because they hope you will buy tiers
-
@epicassassin said:
Dark sense challenge is easy. You only need to touch the gen as it's finished. No need to FULLY repair them yourself.
@Spooky13 said:
For the Dark Sense challenge run Bond and Better Together. You'll know when people are doing generators and will be able to get people to come to the generator you are on. You don't have to bring it up from 0 to 100% by yourself, just be on the gen when it finishes.
This wasn't about this specific challenge, I just mentioned it in brackets. It's more about the whole tier concept. Imo it's impossible for casuals and those who play just a little bit more than casuals (me).
-
@Bravescorpio said:
Or maybe survivors should adapt a bit and avoid Jungle Gyms when facing ghost face.
I think some killers should be able to shut down certain aspects of the game, its what makes them viable. Ghost face has no increase movement speed like Oni or Billy, his "power" comes from being very unpredictable in his location.
Much like you don't run around loops vs the Hag or Myers (when he can see you to stalk) these types of killers require a different approach and that's a good thing.
He still can't shut down infinite loops.. But his lack of red stain is what really gives him any viability at all where his stalk is a little....useless most of the time.
I will agree that his reveal needs a little work, its very quirky.
Ikr? Just don't go to strong loops, better run into the open. 11/10 omegabrain starts.
-
Ghostface is basically wraith+pig on steroids + the ability to expose someone.
Imo his shroud/stealth needs to be toned down, it has literally 0 drawback besides a powerbar (which can get filled very quick with addons).
-
@NoShinyPony said:
Besides having bad internet not being a bannable issue:
When you know that your internet gets bad when your family gets home, it would be decent of you to play survivor as long as we don't have dedicated servers. Or talk to your family that not everybody uses the internet at the same time.
Lag switching or very bad killer internet makes the game highly unfair or even unplayable for survivors.
Better: every router has a priority option. So OP should make his ps4 highest priority so he never will have issues again when other use the limited bandwidth again
-
@iBetClaudette said:
That's why I waste a perk slot using Kindred. Wish I didn't have to but I get some satisfaction when I start seeing gens poppin' while the killer just stands there while I hang.
I really wish it becoming basekit already. Swf has it already for free and can punish a camping killer hard. But Survivors without kindred get punished by the camping killer. Really unfair :/
