I feel like the main thing that would breathe a little bit more life into the game is if some maps in realms had different variations in the time of day and the weather such as rain or snow for example.
I feel more offerings would be cool too - although I'd like to see the map offering bloat in bloodwebs removed and instead map offerings take up a special randomized box like the mystery box where there's less on the bloodweb but it gives you a random map offering so that way the new offerings BHVR added to the game a bit ago like the Sacrificial Ward can appear more since it's the same rarity.
-
I wonder if anyone has any cameos in the game. My choice goes to Trapper but you know would be cool to see Mcote in the game as a cameo. Not saying I would take him if he was a fifth hidden easter egg character but
-
Yeah honestly I didn't expect Dredge's teleports to be so lenient and even fun to hold - You have complete control over it. Meanwhile Sadako is pathetic in every comparison. Although for her I understand BHVR is very limited to what they can do with her given her license / character.

so you think wasting 10-20secs to activate pentimento and decrease 30% of gen repairs speed won’t be the best perk in the entire game?
Spend that time walking to a totem when there's no sense of urgency in the beginning a survivor is likely to follow and watch you then cleanse your totem when you walk away. You'll get more value immediately getting in a chase and pushing a survivor off gens with Ruin. If you're mid game and find time to even use Pentomento you've already won.
As for a successful immediate start with 30% gen repair minus speed. Chances are if you get value out of this to the point where survivors don't focus on cleansing this you're likely going against potatoes anyway. The only value you'll get out of it in that situation is a survivor getting bored and suiciding on hook. Also - To do what everyone is worried about you need two perk slots. Most killers in the game can't afford two perk slots for this gimmick. A killer like Nurse it doesn't matter that's trivial because Nurse could literally have any perks and do fine. Then let's say you try this on Shape. You end up getting looped the majority of the duration and don't really have any fallbacks because wasting two perk slots.
If it works great - But it's too gimmicky - You're relying on too many stars aligning or survivors being oblivious or ignorant to this perks existence.
Now would I agree that a successful use of this perk is boring? Yeah - But I don't see the totem standing long because survivors really hate slowdowns and will look for this thing.

Are you saying you can’t find a single totem in 10-15 secs from the beginning of the match as killer? You only needs to play 10-15 hours to know some totem placements on every map
Yeah I can waste a good 10-20 seconds checking totem spots letting survivors get free gen progression throughout the map.
Are you saying you struggle to deal with an easily cleansible hex totem as survivor that once it's in play it's obvious and easy to cleanse? Forcing the killer to either spend time defending the totem or patrolling gens?
You're better off using ruin.
-
Grinding on every single character to get anniversary items was awful - Also needing to play a specific character to do so was also awful. I'm happy with less mask that are more detailed. Would honestly prefer these being a reward in some Archive themed thing than how it was done prior. Felt awful to get the last ones.
-
@RoboMojo said:
Wait so the perk is useless if no one has boons? That sounds really bad tbh.
Yeah in my opinion it should affect Dulls too. If anyone struggles against Pentimento because of the two perks combo'ing they were going to lose anyway.
Like imagine - The killer used two perk slots for Pentimento and Shattered Hope - Manages to roam around the map finding the Dull's without the aura because they're not broken yet and breaks them to rekindle them - While wasting time in the early game with no hooks while the survivors can still cleanse the hex totems. Let's say they get away with this - The survivors likely have 3-4 generators done by now and there's zero sense of urgency on the survivors when finally getting to the gates because no hooks. It's a losing strategy.
Not directing this at you per say but oh my god people are actually worried about pentimento. If people are losing to that perk they deserved the loss.
-
@ReverseVelocity said:
I sincerely hope that it doesn't work with Pentimento or that's going to be stupid.
Just cleanse a Pentimento totem and it can't be rekindled not a hard thing to deal with - If they break a boon just assume that's what they're going to do.

I admit I feel bad for them - Imagine coming to DBD because of Stranger Things only to witness it be the first licensed pulled from DBD. Not going to fault anyone for wanting the license to come back. I even want it back but I doubt it's happening.

Actually - I'll give you that because that's more a graphic option. However Monitor & Abuse would need changed if that happened.
-
None - Base game mechanics should be improved
At most I'd only see the argument for the BP components of various perks such as BBQ, WGLF or even Beast of Prey. Although that more so points towards the BP gain and grind issues the game has rather than perks.

When a cheater gets banned means usually they need to spend money to play again. With EGS they created thousands of free new accs to cheat on. I know this because multiple cheaters I saw just went "haha thanks bhvr for the free accs"
Honestly it's not hard to get DBD again - Doesn't help that there's an abundance of third party sites selling DBD keys for like 5 dollars each.
-
Honestly lazy hotfixes like that bother me. Ruining a fun aspect of the map because they can't fix a collision being incorrectly placed. Might as well just board up that entire stairwell.
Hoping it's just a temporary fix but admittedly doubt it.

Which field would you replace for his iconic line? I think we did a pretty good job so far.
Honestly not sure. I think you did a pretty good job so far on the bingo sheet. Not sure what I'd change about it. Admittedly the one I feel is the outlier is the more gamemode one. At this point I'd be surprised to see an additional gamemode.

I'm going to be upset if Mcote doesn't say his iconic catchphrase. I miss seeing him in streams.

Bubba’s ability to use chainsaw near hooked survivors has to be the first thing to go. Give him something else in chase, whatever, but remove this stupid gameplay ability. Then yes, a Hag rework, Shape buffs/tier I rework (along with reworks of Tombstone Piece and Judith’s Tombstone), and revert Freddy to his original kit with some tweaks. Then Twins need some QoL changes for both sides. Those would be my priorities, in that order.
To be honest the only way to fix that without changing the base game is making his power (if it stays as is) only work in chase and only let him buildup chainsaw tokens by participating in chases. If he stays idle (Even not near hooks) slowly his chainsaw charges deplete. Although I feel buffs in other ways should address how this would nerf him otherwise.
-
I agree with this except on the top 6 I'd put Hag at the lowest priority of that section in the order you have them. I feel like Twins needs major overhauls to feel less clunky and The Shape needs an update to be more in line with modern DBD. For the most part I agree with the entirety of your list.
edit - Almost forgot Onyro - Honestly she should be in the top 2-3 who needs an overhaul. I genuinely forgot she was in the game until I saw Hex_Ignored's post lol.
-
Freddy should have both powers from his addons at once so he has to manage resources better instead of spamming his power brainlessly. His addons should have unique effects instead of just applying boring status effects. Nurse is a great example - Most of her addons are meme addons that change the power in some way - Freddy should be the same.

In the few killer games I played lately I have the feeling that I always get the same attitude of players. Survivors that dont really want to play the game the way it is intented but just run around clicking at me, Dead harding into god pallets and then teabagging like they did the mindgame of a lifetime etc. If I lose the game I get a lot of ez spam in the chat even before I can say anything and if I win I get a long list of why my win is completely invalid and that they basically want to take me to DBD court and make sure that I never play killer again.
What I find especially weird is that most survivors even though they admit they basically came into my matches to ruin my experience get completely outraged when I start to react toxic towards them with camping and tunneling. Then they tell me that all their toxic behaviour doesnt in any way justify me reacting toxic towards them. But I should just keep playing the game normally and let them mess with me
I really dont get why this attitude is so widespread at least from what Im experiencing lately. Are survivors just bored or frustrated with the game? and if so how exactly does this help against that?
Be honest though - Would you prefer survivors forcibly trying to interact with you in chase or just focusing on gens and getting out as fast as possible?
As for "toxic behavior" there isn't really any toxic behavior in this game that happens in game. Dead By Daylight is a game where when one side is doing well the other side won't have fun most of the time - That's just how it is.
As killer do what ever - Tunnel, Slug, Camp - Do what ever it takes to win. Because at the end of the day your job is to kill and if you decide to let the survivors have fun during that time that's completely on you. Your role isn't to babysit the other team it's to kill them. Same thing goes for survivors - Do what ever it takes to win because at the end of the day if the killer isn't performing well enough to kill you then they're not doing their job at 100%. Yeah not every game will be fair but for the most part that's the reality of DBD. Heavily RNG based game where skill disparity on teams won't always be the same and the losing team won't always be having fun.
-
Not every game is going to be a good time and you shouldn't take it like a personal attack if you do get slugged camped tunneled or smacked on the hook. Interactions like that usually just happen in the heat of the moment in game. Just like how survivors can teabag, click flashlights and spam notifications. Happens on both sides and if you can't handle interactions like that this game may not be for you.
I'll slug, camp and tunnel and on the other side I'll teabag and click my torch. I do it because the game allows me to and it usually results in me tilting the enemy for an easy win. Granted on the killer side you need to tunnel at least one survivor out early unless they're all garbage or else gens will go by too quick. You can't do a victory lap around the map each time you hook a survivor.
-
Well keep in mind there's only so much they can do with a licensed map. Granted one change I would personally like is making the street slightly narrower just ever so slightly. Admittedly though I've not experienced an issue with dead zones.

Sadly no, as this would require completely new hitboxes and animations for every interaction of survivors and between characters (surv-surv or surv-killer interactions).
All survivors actually just have a pill collision for a hitbox which is why you may notice jank hits on let's say Huntress.
As for animations sure but just imagine it with me - A perk that puts a survivor in a wheelchair - a worse No Mither if you will. As for killer pickup just make the entity yank the wheel chair. It would be the same concept as letting the killer pick up a locker with a survivor in it and hooking the locker instead. Makes complete sense and good luck unhooking someone in front of me now Dwight.
-
I'll just post my selfish list - I'll put an * next to stuff I know won't happen but I want anyway.
- Full rework and overhaul of bloodpoint system to reduce grind - Only one perk tier which makes balancing easier / Alternatively just letting us upgrade Perks once we own the first tier in our loadout using bloodpoints to buy them out.
- Full rework of prestige system to make prestige more worthwhile - Blood FX Overlay on all clothing, custom account flair in lobbies
- Survivor customization options for Flashlight, Flashlight Beam, Toolbox, Medkit, Medkit Full Heal Effect.
- Full support and official custom icons for items and perks
- Pre and Post game Banners for player profiles based on achievements in game. Basically during the stats screen the column that has player info can be customized with a special watermark
- *Killer customization options for chase music and mori
- *Full survivor audio dialogue in lobbies to give each survivor a personality - Survivors exchanging dialogue
- *Offering rework to balance out survivors having 4 offerings and killer only having 1 offering making it more fair
- *Steam Workshop Support - Custom Item and Perk icons, custom chase music, custom maps - Heavily curated
- *Full overhaul of custom games - Working bots for a select amount of maps for the original killers to practice against
- *Multi killer queue - Allow us to queue as multiple killers to speed up matchmaking time - What ever lobby is found first it places us in that lobby as long as it matches the killer MMR. For example - I'm in the mood to play Trapper, Huntress and Nurse - Let me queue as those 3 killers and what ever game I find first based on MMR I get placed in there.
- *Quick chat option for console players
- Perk Loadouts (Almost forgot this one)
-
Can we also get a survivor in a wheelchair while we're at it so I can get the full Texas Chainsaw Massacre experience as Franklin.
It's okay if maps aren't wheelchair accessible we'll make them accessible.

They might be ok strength wise but they have recreated a similar situation of OG Legion. You can't have a killer that just want to make you disconnect. This is what I feel when going against this version of Legion.
When I play as them I can clearly see the frustration in the survivor camp. It is not healthy
Current Legion is nothing like the OG Legion - The OG Legion you were eventually going to go down in a chase no matter what and moonwalking as Legion was an actual strat to ignore deep wounds. Skill didn't matter it was literally just how long the chase extended to before Legion stabbed you again. That Legion isn't comparable at all because there was a low room for failure in a chase. Legion wasn't great (Same as they are now) and still lost games but that's what having a poorly designed killer is like. Legion is the reason a lot of current changes happened to the game which in my opinion were for the better. That's why when you run deep wounds doesn't go down.
This Legion survivors need to learn to adapt and properly split up and know when to mend. It's the same issue like when Bubba got their rework and people started calling Bubba of all ######### killers OP. It's because they weren't respecting his power and got surprised when they couldn't do the same thing they did in every other game against him. Same thing is happening with Legion - Survivors aren't adapting and are paying for it.
@[Deleted User] said:
Thing is, adaptation is a thing that usually needs to occur when playing against different Killers. Deathslinger has deep wounds built into his gun but it’s purely an additional thing that just helps waste a little survivor time if you let them go or lose them on purpose.
Legions entire power is deep wounds, that’s why it’s so prevalent. It’s a time wasting mechanic for a Killer that can mostly only M1 for downs unless they are lucky enough (or use certain add-ons) to get 5 stabs.
You do not heal against Legion, period. You ONLY heal if you have fast healing items that make it worth it. You split up as far as possible and deny as many chains as you can, therefore cutting down mending time.
Legion has counter play, it’s just harder than it was before because Legion now actually has the opportunity to get consistent chain hits.
Against Legion, mending essentially is healing, it’s just shorter and in more frequent bursts. I recommend Iron Will, Spine Chill and Resilience for stealth and gen speed, as focusing on gens is the best thing to do against them.
They do not need nerfed, they are fine.
Legion has counter play, it's just harder than it was before
Honestly it's not even more difficult. The only thing that changed is Legion can now punish people who don't respect their power. That's all that changed.
-
I must be a miserable killer main because this got an audible laugh out of me.
-
The Ghostface changes were a good start at in the very least making his addons suitable - Basekit could use some more love but I'm just glad he got a looking at. I feel the changes were the right ones I just feel he needs a bit more.
I'm very happy with the changes The Legion received - A lot of great changes the community has been asking for from BHVR for a very long time plus Legion has one of the most unique addons in the game now and I would love to see more addons like that in the future.
Yes I know - It's easier to reveal Ghostface now. I feel the changes make a great starting point where he can get another change. I remember it took Trapper several big patches before he got to the point where he is now and admittedly while he could still use changes I feel it shows BHVR isn't done with Ghostface. The main issue I see is when Ghostface is revealed he's essentially neutered of his power. I feel giving him some sort of utility outside of that would help him a lot. Maybe for example striking survivors with the knife reducing the cooldown on his shroud and downing a survivor instantly recovers it.
Also one thing I'm keeping in mind with these changes - I don't look at these changes as "Do they bring this killer up a tier" on the meta chart. I more so look at them as "Do they make this killer more fun or easier to play?". When I say easy it's not difficulty per se but more quality of life and less clunky. Something for example The Twins desperately needs addressed.

Hot take: Make it so only survivors you're currently stalking can reveal you. Maybe make it a bit quicker to reveal. Would actually make Ghosty more scary if he can't be revealed by someone 30m away behind a random rock or something.
I do like this concept admittedly.

This is pretty much what I didn't want to see - I don't mind representation but are they just retconning a character and making them gay just to have a gay character?
I need proper character development for this to feel appropriate tbh. Thing is and this will always be a problem - Dead by Daylight isn't exactly a game where you have a lot of story on characters. There is no character development or story it just feels like this was a convenience thing. Our character stories is pretty much the lore in the bio for each character and that's it. If trailers or cinematics told stories that had proper dialogue and such I could get into this but it feels like a character is just being changed for the sake of being changed years later.
Characters don't even have a personality or voice lines so it's hard to really buy the stories they're already telling in the tomes.
Either way - Cool I guess - I'm perfectly fine with representation and happy to have it but would have preferred it just being introduced on a new character which is what I expected.
If these kind of bits of information seem important for characters please do a better job establishing their characters. The tome is cool and all but honestly doesn't give enough for what it is. Maybe I expect too much I don't know anymore.
-
Her power is kind of uninteresting unfortunately but I get there's only so much you can do with the license. I know it's a rough comparison but as a survivor the only thing she does for me is give me the worry of potentially being mori'd. I can get that same feeling from a Pyramid Head but Pyramid Head offers more gameplay variety. She's not too good in chase but at this point I have nothing to say about her. If people enjoy her I'm happy for them.
But yes - I rarely see her - I've seen more Twins than I have the new killer but Twins has been out longer so I imagine more people have picked up Twins by now.

The Shape
- Evil Within 3 no longer activates when the Evil Within 2 stalk meter is full. The alternative fire now activates Evil Within 3 similar to Oni's Power. This is to give The Shape more control over their power and prevent accidental activation of Evil Within 3 either due to misclicks or latency issues. Activation time takes roughly a second of holding the button down.

My number one complaint is the ticket submitting process. All reports should just automatically open a ticket regardless and if adding more information is necessary then the ticket is available at the main menu. Would make reporting on both pc and console less #########.

Personally I feel Windows Of Opportunity is fine. It helps plan routes ahead of time to get a prolonged chase instead of taking a turn somewhere where a pallet isn't at or a window.
I don't like Spine Chill because it shits on killers who are already bad and doesn't affect the good ones. Granted this is filtered to just Stealth Killers. Although my biased opinion is Spine Chill is just a better Premonition and Premonition could use a buff. Yeah you can argue that you know what direction the killer is coming from but with the design of maps in DBD the moment Spine Chill lights up you can narrow your line of sight to the only entry ways a killer can approach you to even get a hit.
Moral of the story - Buff weak stealth killers and premonition but that's my biased opinion. I still hate spine chill because most of the time it just leads to immersive gameplay but not a problem with the perk per se just the player.
-
The Reverse Bloodlust card where all survivors are lethargic and just want to sleep at the campfire.
-
A lot of people aren't taking you seriously but part of me actually is thinking about this too. In a way it's comparable to the hatch standoff.
Not sure I'd do away with the feature but interesting spin on the topic to be fair.
-
While in chase - The survivor can pre-emptively press the Dead Hard key to buffer a Dead Hard - If the killer attacks during this buffer duration the attack is dodged.
Dead Hard now no longer relies on latency as much and is changed to do what it was originally meant to do. It gives a guaranteed dodge of an attack while in chase but you need to be in chase to use it. The Dead Hard initiates when the killer attacks and the attack would have been successful. Meaning the killer can wait out a potential Dead Hard similar to Borrowed Time or they can force you to Dead Hard at a bad time.
I wouldn't give a pre-requisite to use Dead Hard aside from the killer attacking during this buffer duration.
-
Let Freddy use Snares and Pallets at the same time - Suddenly he's more engaging and less boring to play.
Is it the change he needs? In my view - Yes - Once you know what Freddy has he becomes very predictable. If he has both you'll be on your toes all game or at least more cautionary than before.
-
Thank you for posting.
Admittedly the only thing I care about this patch is that stretch res has been fixed according to BHVR. It's one of the main things that's made me hesitant to play because I don't like speculating on whether people playing were legitimate or not.
-
This is actually why I've quit playing - I keep getting put with newer players as survivor with already stupidly long matchmaking time. Then I keep getting maps I ######### hate as killer or forced on maps because offerings. This is why I don't play anymore.
If matchmaking is going to give me new survivors as teammates at least just throw me immediately into the game so I'm not waiting 10 minutes for my garbage game. If my queue time is 10 minutes give me players with my time. Otherwise don't bother and just throw me in a game immediately.
tl;dr I'm willing to take long queue times OR new players - Not both at once.

The one buff I feel they've needed is the lingering effect when a survivor leaves your terror radius. In fact I find it odd that the first perks to have an effect linger after leaving the radius is Leader (I think) and one of the Boon Totem perks.
Basically Unnerving Presence and Overwhelming Presence would be more useful and have more uptime if by the time you were done roaming the map in a certain area even if you missed a survivor it would have some sort of impact. Think of it this way - More than likely when a survivor is in your terror radius they're going to stop performing an action and hide. Therefore they are not doing skillchecks for Unnerving Presence or using items (Toolbox on gen / Medkit on survivor) to lose charges quicker for Overwhelming Presence.
Therefore it is the most logical buff to give these perks a lingering effect - Forcing the survivor to either wait them out to not be effected by them or power through the effects to save time.
to TL;DR - Give all Terror Radius perks a lingering effect. Literally been saying this for years it's the only buff that makes sense for them.
-
I actually like NOED as survivor - Makes games more exciting and punishes my teammates who are overly cocky. There's obviously the flipside that you could die unfairly but this is DBD - Not every perk is meant to be something you use skillfully and not every game is going to be fair. Look at every single perk in this game and tell me which one of them really needs skill over planning. The only thing unfair about NOED and I'm going to say this until it gets nerfed is the movement speed and surprise hit - Honestly it's a pretty trash perk if you exclude the movement speed but that's the only tell the perk has.
Am I a killer main if that were even relevant? In a sense I prefer killer but I play both sides equally. I just don't involve myself in this idiotic tribalism people spew back and fourth about survivor killer main #########. Even so I know someone will call me out sayingg X Y Z because I had the audacity to say I enjoy it when the killer uses NOED while I'm survivor.
NOED doesn't reward bad gameplay - Every perk requires planning and uses strategy. Do people ######### about when Haunted Grounds is cleansed and claim the killer is being rewarded for doing nothing? No they just blame it on the teammate that cleansed it because this community loves to blame others for their failures. If it wasn't NOED it would just be another perk someone complains about downing them. Don't put yourself in a position where the killer is going to hit you when the gates are powered. Pay attention to their movement speed it's obvious when they have noed.
The only perk I feel I hate in this game is Dead Hard but that's not even because of the perk itself it's because latency makes it impossible to fairly balance the perk. I'd rather it be reworked not because of the perk itself but so we can stop seeing threads about "I'm exhausted on the ground" or "I heard the hit sound and they dead harded through it". Frustrating perk overall and a waste of time to try and balance. Just rework the perk.

Blight is one of my favorite killers and I'm genuinely surprised out of any addons that got nerfed it wasn't alchemist ring. That's genuinely the only thing for a while I'd say actually deserves a nerf or should be an ultra rare. No idea how to nerf it though without making it useless.
Everything else about that video though is fine they kind of walked into those hits.
