I would say yes but with how ######### dead hard validation is I don’t know if I want it
It's simple - When Puking at a dead hard user - Plague will simply eject a 50. bullet from her mouth instantly killing the survivor.
-
Nurse is balanced without addons - Leave her alone.
-
Because playing Twins feels extremely sluggish to the point where I'd compare it to old school survivor horror games with tank controls. Playing Twins doesn't even feel rewarding when you get a 4k.
-
Honestly aside from the removal of the Leatherface mask this patch overall looks solid. Can't really complain aside from a few addon changes notably the addons for Nemesis. Aside from that I feel this is a pretty solid patch. Don't get me wrong - I don't agree with their "solution" for the Leatherface mask. Mostly because they didn't really do anything aside from remove them - We still have a garbage report system on handling bad actors for both PC and especially console and we didn't truly get compensated for the loss of a cosmetic on a licensed character granted we got something it isn't going to be able to get us a new mask for Leatherface. As for the actual balancing - I honestly can't complain too much. Just a couple of addon changes I don't agree with but overall not a big deal.
-
Personally I feel aside from Circle of Healing most boons are fine. The only thing I'd maybe change is if a survivor gets hooked their totem becomes snuffed and adjust them after that change.
Circle of Healing is problematic because it's always in affect and a survivor has a safe haven to heal on the map without needing any perks or items assuming it isn't their Boon. Even if a person who is using it is about to be hooked and then gets hooked the other injured survivors can flock to it and heal whether it be a solo or group heal.

At the moment, it takes 3 months for the devs to do things like add a token to Distortion or buff the aura reading of Buckle Up by 4 seconds. This is way too long and leaves the community feeling frustrated with the slowness of perk changes.
Now that they have added the beta tab for all platforms including console, there's no reason not to take advantage of this new feature to do more perk changes. Surely they are now able to do 2 or 3 perk changes every 2 weeks or so. You can't be slightly change 5 perks out of 191 every 3 months and expect people to be satisfied.
If the devs are mainly going to make slight changes to perks, it needs to happen more often using the beta tab.
BHVR shouldn't even need a PTB or beta to test new perks - They should just give everyone seasonal perks to be tested even if they're variants of existing perks for changes. Just label them BETA perks in game and give them to everyone and when testing is done take them away.

Why not making racist harassment in game chat as a perma bannable offense, including homophobia, death wishing etc? With the proof of screenshot presenting it and submiting it to customer support it should be possible to ban offenders. I also suggest to inform players by improving the description of in-game reports that racism/homophobia etc is a bannable offense and you can report players by that.
The first step BHVR could take towards improving the report system is an automated ticket system for support. No matter what when a report is made in game a ticket automatically should open with each player ID listed with that players character and cosmetics used in game. If nothing is done to the ticket it's just a generic report. However this would enable people to conveniently add additional evidence if needed instead of having to go through the hassle on their own. All the report system would ask for is additional information such as your email or it would let you access the ticket from the menu to go to it later if you're a streamer and don't have time to do it now.
Bam - That alone and the report system is instantly 10x better because it takes the main inconvenience of reporting away. I'm not even asking for BHVR to record matches with a replay system. Just make the initial filing of a support ticket for harassment + cheaters easier.
And yes - These go hand in hand with the issue being people causing issues in either field means I'm filing a ticket either way.

Why are they removing it? I really didn't understand the issue and love using the Smartface and Leaderface masks, I would appreciate if someone explained whats happening.
It's because players are abusing it for their racist internet games and we get punished for it. There is compensation but overall we're not able to replace our lost Leatherface items with new ones. We still have a garbage report system and it's still a pain in the ass for people send in reports especially on console.
Those people in the video that Karu posted are going to get hate and it's not going to be regarding racism but they're going to be blamed for the loss of content without any actual improvements to the game. If BHVR took the time to improve the report system and chat filter this would be a + for everyone but overall it's either people don't care either way or there's just people who are happy the cosmetics are gone.
And yeah I'll be that person - Removing these mask won't make the game better in any way what so ever - We'll go back to the status que in a week. Because we still have a garbage report system. I'm saying this as a PC player I can't imagine the frustration a console player goes through because of it.
As long as BHVR or anyone isn't pretending racism will magically go away with the removal of these mask I won't take personal issue with it - I take issue with people thinking the game itself will be better without them. We lost cosmetics without fixing the actual issue or improving it.

It's not about "whiners" it's about the fact that these were proven to be used to harass our players in a hateful manner - that's not something we're going to support and we're certainly not going to make it easier for people to do this in our game.
I don't expect plans to change but as a compromise it would be nice if we could just replace the mask by giving each survivor they represent a small cosmetic instead. When you purchase Leatherface Dwight received a pair of broken glasses as a cosmetic. The same thing for the other survivors would be a nice compromise. Although I get it this solution was easier granted it sucks.
Also trolls will use anything as a weapon - While I don't agree with this solution I hope the people who actually promoted hate with the mask were permabanned. It would feel so insulting if not only did trolls manage to get these mask removed but they're still allowed to play this game.
-
The main thing I want to know is will the new patching setup stop me from having to take 10 minutes on an m2 drive to update 50mb of the game. Also someone reading this - No - Nothing is wrong with the drive. It is genuinely how the game chooses to update sometimes.

Boons are fine with the exception of
Maps with mutliple floors where getting to a totem involves routing a full path to locate a staircase and travel essentially the same path on the other floor to reach it (Saw map / SH Map)
Circle of Healing is too strong when it's just a solo survivor self healing - It's fine when multiple survivors are involved. Issue is one survivor can provide self-care for 3 other survivors and their own kit where it's faster than self-care but takes longer to set up. However having a spot located on the map survivors can run to and just heal up quickly is too strong if the killer doesn't waste time going out of the way to snuff it. At least with the other two perks it affects both parties while they're interacting so the boon needs to be at risk of being snuffed. With the Circle of healing you can drop it anywhere and it will have an affect. That's the main difference between CoH and the other two boons. It doesn't need to be in immediate danger of being snuffed to get used.

Lopro Chains
Would be shocked if someone argued that. I'd argue that Lopro Chains is Hillbilly's best addon in general.
-
She rivals sapping the fun out of the game for me next to Spirit and Hag but because she's incredibly boring to play against. She's also incredibly annoying sound wise. A lot of the interactions show attention to detail but overall she's just irritating.
My main issue with her is yes you can play her skillfully but most people just spam her power leading to her just bloodlusting people all the time and camping and tunneling. Then when you occasionally run into a good one you pretty well won't win chases but instead need to prolong it by just holding W. I genuinely hate Spirit and Hag for differing reasons but Artist is up there in terms of her power encouraging unfun gameplay.

I thought it was because NFTs.. but people get over things quickly! I find him fun and one of the few killers I want to face, don't see why others disagree. I think it's just survivors complaining like they do with every other killer... when he is easily counterable and not very strong.
The NFT announcement made me quit playing him completely.
I still standby if the NFT's introduce NFT specific content that's exclusive I'll uninstall the game. Alternatively if it's limited in number and only has a chance to drop like the original page of it implied which would encourage gambling like features.
-
Being quite honest it's more detrimental when scratchmarks randomly appear in the opposite direction a survivor ran than the scratchmarks disappearing all together because of this perk. This usually happens on indoor maps where a bunch of doorways are close together.
One issue with boons is on maps with many multiple floors. Let's say it's red forest and it's in a building on the second floor. Okay no problem - You have a general idea of where the boon is and it doesn't affect a whole lot outside of the building it's in. However if it's the Silent Hill map or the Saw map both which are indoor maps it's absolutely cancerous to deal with and that's the main issue with these. They can be balanced on some maps but on maps like these they are horrendously strong in some situations. Especially considering even if you have an idea where they are you have to absolutely go out of your way to get to them while doing other things.
I can't really say restrict the range vertically because that would make some totem spots completely useless because some totem spots at a certain height is basically just a single room. However on the maps mentioned they're too strong. Hard to say what to do but that's just my general view of it I suppose.
-
No lol
The only thing that's scary is your first 20 or so hours as survivor then this game is just violent freeze tag.
-
I feel like it's fine when two or more survivors are involved but imo I feel like Self Healing should be slower but not by much when it's a lone survivor healing.
-
How is he going to use his power? Just pull out a whip and cosplay as Indiana Jones?
-
- The grind - I grow tired of needing to get new killer to level 40 - Then get 9 different tier perks on every single ######### killer that I own just to stay competitive - Yeah I don't have to but I like having options. Perk availability on killers is what keeps the game fresh with interesting builds.
- Licensed maps make me want to quit the game and map offerings are boring
- Most of the new killers are boring - Pinhead was the only recent one I enjoyed but the whole NFT bullshit ruined it for me. I was genuinely ready to main him but I am not going to support that ######### - I feel BHVR went silent on it because they know the community hated it. If they verify any content is exclusive in the NFT's I'm uninstalling the game. I'm not going to support NFT's and I'm not going to support random "Drop" content which at its core is gambling if you only have a chance to get it.
- Those who primarily play survivor don't realize how easy they have it. They're lucky each survivor is just a skin instead of a full blown power because that complicates leveling for killers. I'm just going say it - All perks should be shared for every killer. ######### sick of the grind. I don't have time to do every single thing on every new killer each time new content is dropped - Feels like a part time job at this point I got ######### to do. I want to sign in, enjoy the content I paid for and be done with it because DBD at its core was always a low commitment game. I don't want to do MMO level grinding to get perks to stay competitive and enjoy various perk builds.

I'm astonished that people are seeing enough Hag players to really be annoyed by her :).
I've seen more Twins than I've seen Hags.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2690850#Comment_2690850
Agreed. I love her audio.
The only thing that bothers me is her pallet break animation. It's just so odd from her perspective.
That's why she is annoying - The few times you see her is a boring snoozefest because how she is played.

Make it so you can't give protection hits with them and imo they're fine.
Basically - Are you alone - Yes? As is now
Did you somehow tank a hit for a teammate? Take damage.

Record at least a few minutes. Report in endgame screen. Send the footage via ticket.
Baffling that this is still possible, but that's the best you can do for now.
I agree with you but this process is why most people don't bother - Some ######### waste X amount of our time and now we need to go through the extra effort of reporting them by
- Recording a video
- Uploading video to external website
- Using external website outside of Dead by Daylight ensuring we grab both their player id / steam account ID and video footage for a single ticket along with other information.
I wish BHVR would streamline this reporting process a bit - For example
You report someone in game and a ticket automatically opens that you can manage outside of the game - It would take away a lot of the hassle of dealing with bullshit. I still believe AFK crows should give survivors soft collisions to where they can push through killers slowly but nah BHVR won't do that. Doing that would eliminate the need to report people for this as there would be no more player to player hostage situations like this without exploits.
I feel for you OP.
And yeah - My post is a little off topic but seeing this ######### makes me mad. One because I know OP had to waste time reporting if they chose to and the fact that BHVR hasn't eliminated this issue.
-
Hag - Literally designed to camp and can excel at it. Forces survivors to push gens and leave teammates hanging or make trades sometimes - Legitimately unfun playstyle to deal with. I'll never understand why people complain about Bubba because a Bubba will lose games doing this. This can be a genuine winning strategy for Hag unless you have a loadout prepared for Hag.
You either run the Hag the entire game and they get no hooks or they camp people to death because that's how you play them.
I think in my entire existence in DBD I've only played against one player who made versing them fun while they were Hag.

One is more accurate to the killer's exact position and the other is more to let you know in general that a killer has removed a resource.
Neither is better than the other they just serve different goals with similar information.
To be honest I had no idea where to post this so I just dropped it here. As for a question it's more so wanting to talk perks.
Edit - Oh - That last bit is just added on automatically

A lot of players have said survivors take no skill since the start this is nothing new. I'd agree that survivor is stupidly easy compared to killer but that's a necessary evil admittedly.

Did you also notice that her Blighted hair is now a different color? It actually looks great.
If a cosmetic looks better or worse fair - For the most part admittedly this is just how Spirit's default hair and potentially other hairs look awful. I get cosmetics are supposed to improve a look usually to be more enticing but it genuinely looks bad. I would like to see it improved or reverted to how it was prior so it looks less like a Marge cosplay and more like a supernatural force is defying the natural elements in the world around Spirit causing her hair to uplift.

a lot of people say we need a game health chapter, i think we need to change the 3 month content release schedule.
Ultimately I feel the issue is the Q&A and how quickly they find issues and their PTB testing schedule. We get the PTB just before it launches which feels like a preview rather than our feedback is going to give them enough time to make impactful changes based on that feedback. I've always felt that as soon as a chapter begins a PTB should be released and the duration we would have had it near the end of the update cycle before release should be the duration we have it at the start.
I'd also agree that the 3 month content release schedule isn't working. I'd be fine with 3 major content updates yearly instead of 4 if we got to spread the updates out a bit. What I wouldn't mind is more so if we focus on 4 updates yearly we change up what the updates are about.
- An update focused entirely on new maps
- An update geared towards releasing new seasonal perks that are general
- Instead of updates being a survivor & killer we maybe cycle between having one or the other. Maybe one update is a survivor with the typical perks added and alongside it maybe we add a handful of killer perks to the general perk pool. Something along those lines
- Updates that focus on quality of life features rather than "Content" - For example - Perk Loadouts - Do you know how many people would love BHVR if they just made an update focus on some quality of life features? If BHVR sat down and was like alright - This update we need to focus on making this happen - Let's reduce BP requirements for the bloodweb, let's make prestige more meaningful, let's make getting the perks you want easier when you have the teachables. Literally can't imagine a single person complaining about stuff like that and I feel BHVR could use the positive vibes from overwhelmingly positive feedback on an update. Really think - When was the last time that happened? I think the last time I saw such high praise for an update was EGC.
That's just my general thought process though but I get BHVR probably prefers doing the same old thing each update.
-
The aesthetic. Admittedly I don't like the gameplay on the map but it was our map. It was in my opinion one of the cooler looking maps in DBD. I hated it but I'll miss it just the same.

I still disagree that survivor is stupidly easy.
Its easier than the killer, but not stupidly easy.
And the main issue about balancing comes from the top players.
Both sides need more BP overall, since you have that many survivors and killers.
Survivor difficulty depends on skill of the killer or if they're willing to sweat that round. In my view that means as a base measurement yes survivor is stupidly easy. Easy to pick up and it only really depends on how well you can adapt to a sudden increase in difficulty of the opposing player.
Doesn't mean there's anything wrong with that either - That's just the nature of the game. If survivor was difficult or overly complex no one would want to play survivor.
-
Both sides should be increased a little bit - But admittedly it's likely to incentivize playing killer more. Survivor is stupidly easy and the BP should reflect that imo.
-
Exactly what I did and I didn't even buy him I was gifted Pinhead. I feel bad for the person who gifted me the DLC though but it is what it is.
I'm pretty much here until BHVR confirms NFT's are in game and give exclusive stuff. Whether it be by silently adding it or announcing it. Once it's fully official I'm out and won't be coming back to the game.
-
Poll Image
I said in-game Poll so you get votes from players who spend more time in the game rather than the forums. I do for the most part trust the judgement of players on the forums but you have to admit - Some of us have days where we can spend too much time on the forums. It's best to get live feedback from people who recently or are actively playing the game.
Visually and thematically I love Spirit - Power wise she's unfun.
If audio wasn't bugged half the time where her small nerf worked consistently I'd be fine with her. BHVR however has a tendency to just break audio or it just not working more than half the time so quite honestly they should either add the other suggested nerf they had or rework her.
In regards to dealing with problems in game BHVR takes forever to handle things. Sometimes for good reason and in this situation yeah it's an entire killer so I'm lenient on it. Still doesn't mean I won't voice my opinion about it. Truthfully if audio wasn't bugged a lot of the time I'd say she was balanced. However directional audio doesn't always work properly in game so I can't say she's fine since the way BHVR balanced her or tried to was through audio tweaks.

Swf is also very unfun to play against as a killer yet there has been no changes to make it more fun for the killer
While you are correct this thread is about Spirit not SWF's. I'm not going to bring up other things that irritate me in a thread about Spirit. If I did I'd be mentioning how the majority of survivor items are broken and anything that lowers time required to perform an action as survivor should be nerfed into the ground. Especially if it's low risk like a medkit.

Sounds like it’s your opinion. Just because you find a killer unfun doesn’t mean they deserve a nerf.
You made a thread and you got an answer - You won't change my mind - But no honestly yes they deserve a nerf. BHVR hopefully took Spirit as a learning lesson that it's a minority in the community who enjoy versing her because of the way she telegraphs the power. It's not that she's too strong (She used to be though) it's that she's unfun because you have to guess a lot with her instead of being able to make consistent choices against her.
And yeah - It's my opinion - Just like very clearly the majority of the community doesn't care for Spirit. You can say the forum will have some vocal supporters but again they are a minority. Make an in game poll and I guarantee you the turnout would be the majority disliking Spirit.
-
@GannTM said:
Just admit it, you very clearly won’t be satisfied on Spirit’s state until she’s actually unfun and janky to play as and when she’s jokingly easy to loop. I understood complaints pre-nerf because she gave no information and that wasn’t fun but now she does give information.
Survivors, I really hate to break it to you but a killer’s power isn’t supposed to benefit survivors literally at all. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t have ways to play around them but the killer should have the control. You do have ways to play around Spirit that isn’t just running around junk and pressing space bar. You have to be mindful now. I’m not saying you have to like playing against her but please don’t act like Spirit isn’t fair now. Just because you find something unfun doesn’t mean it needs a change.
BHVR, I know I may give y’all ######### at times but fantastic job on the Spirit changes. I think some of her add ons need to be tweaked but otherwise she’s in the best place she’s ever been. One of the most balanced killers in the game.
Honestly yeah - I want Spirit deleted - Still isn't fun to play against but she's bearable with the audio change but still not great to play against.
I'm fine with Nurse for example because her power is telegraphed - I just have zero sympathy for Spirit players getting gen rushed because out of every killer in the game she's just boring and unfun to play against. I tried to be open minded about the change but nah there's no balancing her to be fun to play against especially compared to other killers.
I am admittedly also a biased Nurse main. I'm of the opinion that if a killer is strong they shouldn't be brainlessly easy to play either.
-
Boon totems are broken as ######### on maps with multiple floors. They need to go on a massive cooldown when broken by the killer because otherwise it's not worth going out of your way to break them even if you know where they're at.
I genuinely hate boon totems. Feels like quality of games are worse because of them.

Then ban those players who do it to be racist?
Unless they announce that they're being racist in chat this is something at most you can only speculate on out of spite. No one with common sense is going to assume someone using this item is racist or trying to be racist.
In which case if someone announces they hate a certain race punish the player - The cosmetic has nothing to do with them being a halfwit.
-
I know it feels personal when they destroy Deathslinger but think of it as a fine tuning of balancing as a whole. All the killers make up the killer side and some killers need adjusted to be stronger and some weaker for many different reasons. Survivors are on the other spectrum of the coin and any small change affects all of them equally. In the grand scheme of things though the last few updates have been overall meant to make the game more enjoyable for both sides focusing more mostly towards killer. There's been a few sidesteps but overall it's clear BHVR is trying to equal things out.
I however think Boon Totems are a terrible idea after seeing them live and feel they overdid the Deathslinger nerf by moving towards the laziest solution possible for the issues they faced. I understand why they made the decisions they did but I do not agree with them. Everything else though is great.
-
Sometimes it's fine to cleanse early on - Just depends on nearby setups and gens. Having this mindset that you should never cleanse early on is how Plague takes survivors by surprise. Essentially survivors think they have her power figured out and get too cocky and then get slammed because injured.
Yeah you can say few scenarios where you cleanse but there's also few scenarios where you don't cleanse because ultimately Plague isn't a complex killer. Obviously you don't want to cleanse right by Plague. Best type of cleansing early on is when you cleanse on the opposite side of the map from her away from gens being done so if she decides to use it she has to waste time walking all the way over.
Just depends on how many high walls are nearby for the one who wants to distract Plague when they use Corrupt Purge.
Think of it though - Worst case scenario if you cleanse at the wrong time - As long as you're good at looping oh no she injures you have you cleanse and you're back to being injured but now you won't infect other survivors. It becomes an even trade if anything unless you end up going down but getting hit by the corrupt purge at least gives you time to get to t he next tile unless you goof up.
-
Yep - I'd refund all my purchases on DBD - Base game - DLC - Everything.
Yes - Purely over the NFT situation.

I knew it all along
That last update was too good to be true. Every time BHVR does something amazing it's followed by bad news. I knew it was leading up to this. BHVR can't push out an amazing update without any strings attached.

Let's review his other addons then.
Philly, Telephoto Lens, Knife Belt Clip, Night vision Monocular (Reduce Stalk time when stalking and not leaning): So the base not leaning stalk time is 5 seconds. Running the Night Vision Monocular and Knife Belt Clip you reduce it to 3.75 seconds. Lean Stalk is 2.5 seconds. Ghostface should be spending most of their time stalking survivors while leaning. The only time you would not lean stalk is to pop a 99% stalk'd survivor or the game decides you can't actually lean. Not terrible addons, but largely useless when lean stalk to 99% is how you play Ghostface effectively.
Headlines Cut-outs, Olsen's Journal, Olsen's Wallet (Increased Movement Speed while Stalking): So as I said previously the effective way to play Ghostface is to lean stalk to 99%. While leaning you can't move so extra movement speed while leaning is worthless. At least the reduce stalk time while not leaning can help if a survivor isn't quite 99%.
Cheap Cologne, Telephoto Lens, Last Perfume (Increased Marked Duration): You can get +15 extra marked duration hitting 60 second marked duration on survivors. It's okay, but since you can 99% stalk survivors and pop them when you are close enough to hit you don't need extra marked duration. It can help if you accidentally fully stalked due to latency, but if you are already commiting to a marked survivor for over 45 seconds you are kind of throwing. It can help if you fully stalk two survivors at once since you can down 1 and chase the other, but it would be better to try to 99% both and pop 1 leaving the other to be popped later. No real reason to run this since unlike Myers you are picking a single survivor at a time to expose instead of an entire time.
Reusable Cinch Straps, Leather Knife Sheath, Drop-Leg Knife Steath (Movement speed when crouched): One of his only addons that gives him benefit when not in night shroud. Crouching is useful at some tiles since you can break LoS and get a hit you otherwise couldn't get. These addons do help for those situations. Drop-Leg is an 8.4% increase and Leather Sheath is 5.6% so together you get a 14% boost and his base crouch movement is 90% so you can move faster than survivors while crouched. The situations these addons are useful in are niche but at least can be worth running.
Marked Map, Victim's Detailed Routine (Increase Killer Instinct duration when revealed): Useless. You have enough time to figure out where the survivor that revealed you is at base. Granted sometimes Killer Instinct be buggy and you don't actually see the notification because the survivor is too close to you.
Victim's Detailed Routine, Driver's License (Reduce Range survivors can reavel Ghostface): Together you can turn the 32m range that survivors can reveal Ghostface into 20m range. Not an insignificant reduction, but you should be trying to reduce the ability for survivors to even reveal you by not standing out in the open in first place. Ultimately good ghostfaces don't need these addons, because they are putting themselves into situations where they can be revealed.
Ghostface Caught on Tape (Faster Lean Stalk, Slower Non Lean Stalk): Lean stalking goes from 2.5 to 1.5 seconds, Non Lean Stalking goes from 5 to 5.75. It's better than the faster non lean stalking addons since you want to lean stalk survivors to 99% and almost halfing the time it takes to lean stalk is certainly good. I don't think I've ever been in a situation where I thought "man I wish I lean stalked a bit faster". I would say it's okay, certainly better than his other addons.
Outdoor Security Camera (Aura reveal when you down a marked survivor): Probably his next best addon after power recovery. Ghostface can struggle to make good use of Infectious Fright since if he downs a survivor while undetectable no one will scream. This addon allows him to get a sense of where survivors are after downing a marked survivor. Now it is all survivors outside of his TR so if you down a marked survivor while not undetectable you won't see the auras of nearby survivors. But since survivors aren't going to jump in lockers to avoid Security Cam aura reading if you see 2 auras and not 3 then you can assume the last survivor is nearby.
So basically half of his addons are absolutely useless from the start. This leaves us his two iri addons, movement speed when crouched, and faster non leaning stalk as other addon options you would want to run. Of the remaining options only crouched movement and his iri addons are viable options to replace recovery time since they actually do something useful to how you play Ghostface.
At best you might see some Ghostface use an iri addon with chewed pen or Ghostface with double crouch addons, but most Ghostfaces are still going to use double recovery, because it's simply far better than the alternatives.
This is a great breakdown of Ghostface's addons and why most of them are garbage. Thank you and I appreciate your efforts in making those points clear for everyone.

BHVR even said they wouldn't do loot boxes of any nature when they introduced the cosmetic shop so I would personally hold that against them of course.
- There is a limited amount of 10,000 drops that artificially limit the availability of items for fans of the franchise
- The purchase method is already gatekeeping a lot of users and the availability of the rewards state it is for PC only.
If it's fake that's cool - I don't owe BHVR anything and they don't owe me anything but I sure as hell won't support a company that promotes predatory practices. Not to mention other issues I could talk about but my main issue is the potential RNG / predatory aspect of this.
As for leaks - Most of them turn out to be true because DBD has one of the most obsessive communities out there so until there is consistently false leaks / rumors I'll just put my two cents out there and accept the risk that it could or could not be real.
I don't care if someone gets upset about my opinion either. What I'm saying isn't a threat and it's more so a discussion the entire community is involved in now. If it's not happening it will at least make it loud and clear to BHVR how part of their community feels. But I suppose community nowadays is just a word we throw around to make people think they're still involved.
I'm all for this whole thing being fake because ultimately I don't want to quit this game but if it turns out to be true I'll drop this game harder than Netflix dropped BHVR.

Who tf is Butterball?
Fat Cenobite with glasses.

Hey I hope it's fake but on the off chance that it's real I'm fully prepared to dip from this game.
-
I plan to quit too if this is verified - I may love the game but I have standards and when I say I'm going to do something I do it.
Also another thing to note - "Drops" are mentioned on the NFT pages. BHVR said they would never do Lootboxes and drops are essentially the same thing. Would be something BHVR lied about I guess.

So does that mean Pinhead has a much higher chance to be in the same boat as ST and BHVR got the license regardless?
I'm just paraphrasing the info that's out there at this point we have to wait for BHVR to say something. If this is true though I'm out.

I don't know if its the lack of sleep or if this is genuinely confusing. Because even after reading the article and searching up tf an NFT is, I still have no idea what it is.
Can some one dumb it down please? :(
also why is it bad?
It's a type of cryptocurrency.
So essentially - From my understanding - You pay with a cryptocurrency for a chance to be one of 10,000 people who get the voice lines or Butterball. Just saying a chance because I'm noting the use of the word "NFT DROP EVENTS".
-
If this is the reason the voice lines got removed and if this is the only way to get them back I'm done with the game.
Doubt most people will even quit but honestly I can't support this in any capacity but go figure this would come to light after the DLC drops so people already invest in the DLC.

If Hoarder gets nerfed specifically because of Pinhead can we at least make changes to Pinhead so intercepting the box isn't always unlikely. To intercept a box you pretty much need addons that slow down solve speed and that's the big issue with him. Locating the box yourself and intercepting it before a survivor solves it. In a way yes it does keep one survivor constantly busy but you can put off finding it for a long time until the last second just to solve it.
Ultimately that's the biggest issue with Pinhead. He's far too RNG dependent to where he's either too weak or just above average. If we could normalize him locating the box or finding it we could adjust Hoarder and he would be okay.
Although my personal opinion - Hoarder should be buffed and The Cenobite should also be tweaked in favor of buffing him.
