Honestly even if it’s a thank you hit I do feel a little insulted. Though I can never tell if it’s a pity hit or a “I’m going to let you hit me and you still can’t do anything about it!”
-
Im sure they will buff solo, however I don’t think they will compensate by buffing killer in return. They are deathly afraid of buffing killer cause survivors are their bread and butter. If “Killer too OP!” Starts coming out even if solo is buffed then survivors may leave and that means they won’t spend money on cosmetics. Killers are a minority of players and they don’t spend a lot of money on cosmetics cause it’s first person.
-
I don’t care about compensation. That’s like what maybe a few bucks? Not even that much. I would however prefer to be asked permission to show my name when someone is streaming the match. If I don’t give my consent then it blurs it out. I would like that for any game, not just DBD. I use videogames to get away from being a laughing stock in real life. I don’t want to see it on YouTube and Twitch too.
-
What you don’t like freezing in mid animation and letting the survivors get away every time?
-
Also I got “called out” for using NOED by the 4 man SWF on comms. Saying that was scummy of me to use. Like really? And being on comms isn’t scummy?

Babes, no.
I never have a good experience with SWF. And what’s worse is they say crap like “you were so bad we didn’t even need to be SWF.” Etc etc

I remember a killer mad af about a SWF which turned out we were genuinely 4 solos, all had public steam profiles, none of us friends with any of the others. Killer refused to believe this and even when prompted to check for themselves, didn't bother and just doubled down we were a 4 man SWF. As like any killer I have seen complain about SWF in post game chat, the killer was dogshit yet only opted to blame the game and could not accept this.
Most of the SWF tell me to my face they are SWF and lord it over me.

Don't worry dude, you will one day be good at killer and 75% of your games you will 4k don't worry about it.
And pigs will fly and the devs will fix all the bugs

The DS nerf is working just fine. If you’re tunneled you get hit with it. If you’re working on gens or whatever then you’re not tunneled. Ive still gotten hit with DS as a Killer. So it’s working as intended.
-
I’m in high ranks as both killer and survivor and I barely win either. It’s not awful but it’s not exactly fun matches either.
-
I would love to get Haddonfield. All I ever get is Coldwind or Autohaven.

You are aware that both McLean and @MandyTalk have confirmed that Wraith's slowdown is bugged and his lunge shouldn't have been altered in any way, right?
Oh yes. I’m aware of everything in every single topic of discussion.

Every person I've seen who've said they want solos buffed have also said "then buff killers accordingly"
That's also the only way to actually balance this game.
The devs won’t do it simply for the fact a potential backlash from survivors. Anytime they do buff killers they also take something away. Like they did for Wraith. I can imagine them buffing solo q sure. But with how the devs act I don’t believe they will buff all killers accordingly.

Ranking up is pretty easy, yeah. But I wouldn't play until the rank reset then. I may sound harsh, but why play something that isn't fun? I'd feel too bad for the others to put my fun ahead of theirs and ruin their time while they're trying their best.
I occasionally get non sweaty red rank matches that are fun so I try and enjoy it while not goofing off. But if I start a match and immediately two people are downed and hooked and not even one gen is done I know it’s going to be a sweat fest and I’m not taking it seriously and goofing off
-
Most people I’ve seen don’t want buffs on Killer but instead just want buffs on solo q. Essentially making it to where every experience for Killer is SWF, even in solo q. If that happens and no buffs for killer went with it, the game will become just survivors waiting for que.

Yes, they are pros. Pros are very good players natural but does this mean we have to nerf Nurse into the Ground, so no normal player can even get 1 kill without hook camping?
Its the Pro player which is good and not the Killer (Nurse). Nurse itsef is THE WORST Killer in the Game but IF you can manage to be very, very very good with her, you can have great games and fast 4ks. High skill cap -> high potential reward.
I didn’t say to nerf nurse at all. This post was claiming she was bad and I responded he must be trolling.

I get that taking this game seriously is not the most fun for casual players, but bruh, you waste so much of people's time. That ain't right
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. It’s too easy to rank up and I’m just playing for fun. Red ranks seem to play like it’s an esports match. Only way for me to enjoy the matches again is to try to depip or not pick it up again till the next rank reset.
-
The game could be declining due to bad chapters recently and bugs that have yet to be fixed. However wait till the next license dlc release and see people come back in droves, especially if it’s the rumored Resident Evil dlc. Or FNaF. I would say the divide between killer and survivor mains has always been this way cause the game promotes an us vs them mentality. Just how it is. If one side gets nerfed they fear their game will therefore be easier for their opponent. When you want to win and one side gets nerfed or buffed you feel like the game is balancing in favor of the opponent, even if the nerd or buff is fair.

Well i guess you need more practise against Nurse.
People who are pros at Nurse are going to clean house majority of the time. She’s perfect to get around loops and pallets. Sure you can juke her for a bit but eventually you will mess up and get hit
-
Honestly I still enjoy it even as Killer. A lot of pallets sure but the map is so small you can easily catch up or cut them off. And once those pallets are gone that’s it. Good luck trying to loop at the nothing over to the nothing again.
-
I would prefer a. Option to just burn the corn, preventing people from traversing it for a good portion of the match. Sounds as equally fun as making it bigger and denser lol
-
Is this a troll post? I dread going against Nurses cause a lot are good and can end the match before barely any gens done

Out of curiosity, how did you actually get into the game? Also, how did you get into gaming in general? This isn't specifically for the OP. Anyone can reply to this if they wish! I've tried getting my Mother into gaming for a while now but she seems disinterested. I didn't even bother with my Dad because I know he wouldn't even consider it lol.
I got into gaming playing Twisted Metal and Crash with my dad on the PS1. We had a blast shooting the Statue of Liberty and watching her clothes come off. Odd I guess but that memory always stuck with me

Exactly it’s a forum I can post whatever I want. But imagine everyone made a thread every time someone dc’d or camped/tunnelled.
I mean they practically do. Still, I enjoy those posts cause usually everyone has different experiences and they want to share or ask what or why. Why did the Wraith DC when there was still five gens left? Why was I camped right at the start of the match by Nurse? Why did everyone DC after I slugged them as Spirit straight at the start? It’s an interesting topic and each story can be unique to hear about, even if the overall topic is the same.
-
They’ll get to it in a few years. After they release more and more cosmetics and dlc characters and maybe fix one or two bugs that have been infesting the game for ages.
-
Depends, are you still losing horribly? I agree to a certain extent on being nice in game. I play both sides and it’s not fun to be camped or tunneled so I try not to do that as Killer. However, if the survivors are being toxic, unhooking right in my face, or it’s nearing the end of the match and everyone is still alive, then the nice gloves come off. It’s a match after all and I’m trying to win. Being nice doesn’t really get you far as Killer and it is a handicap. Though one that a lot of people do and maybe should? I’m not entirely sure. However, if being nice is constantly getting you loses then follow my rule, if three gens have popped and everyone is still alive and you haven’t even downed or hooked anyone yet then take off the nice gloves. You get nothing out of the game from being nice. There is no “nice” bonus BP.
-
Absolutely. I’ve spent actual money in this game and have received gifts revolving around it, such as a gift card to PSN so I can get the premium rift. If my progress is gone then so am I. I see no point in continuing cause those gifts and memories are wiped clean from the game now. P

I’m so sick of commenters like this. Can people not share their experiences on this forum? The point of this post is to have a conversation. If the topic doesn’t interest you you don’t have to comment with a non-statement like “what’s your point?”. There are dozens and dozens of posts uploaded hourly. Pick one that interests you instead of just being a drag on these posts.
-
I totally understand lol
-
After a certain point in the game to me, it’s becomes unfun and unplayable. I’m rank 10 killer and rank 5 survivor. My matches aren’t fun. It’s just constant sweating from beginning to end. Everyone in higher ranks takes it so seriously 100% of the time. So I sometimes either go AFK or just totally goof off in the match in hopes of depiping and going back to ranks where people are more chill and fun. It’s not fun with constant sweating tryhards who take this game seriously all the time.

Soon.
First, they have to release 30 more paid skins, 20 more DLCS, give a few more interviews saying how amazing they are, suggest they're gonna buff this or that killer, promise the MMR and hit validation improvements and then do nothing, wait for the 10th year anniversary of the game and release 1 Dwight reskin, THEN fix the pallet bug, AND THEN you might get the Trickster map.
All the stuff we want to improve the game will be eventually implemented.....in DBD2
-
It’s just a fantasy. A lot of people also these days are incredibly lonely and in dire need of companionship. So they put their feelings towards this “waifu” or that “husbando” etc. sure a lot of it is just fun but deep down I think it’s a bigger issue in general. At least in the west relationships and marriage is at an all time low. People aren’t bumping uglies. Less kids are being made. List goes on. I know this is kinda a joke topic but there’s some hidden issues deep down about it

That's a sick play in it of itself, not using a power but still trying to power through, especially with slower killers :P
For example, even stuff like "I hit 1 hatchet in a match" is sick enough of you are new with huntress. Just because pro huntresses hit all hatchets in a match makes your 1 hatchet hit not any less valid.
I guess that’s one way of looking at it. I’m not an overly optimistic person. But it is refreshing sometimes

And that's totally ok. The problem is it takes choices away from how you are playing. "Never playing this killer until yadayada, never taking this perk until yadayad". It's not easy to just "not get tilted" and I admit if some survivors weren't such bullies it would be easier.
Just think "The match went horrible but that was a sick play at the killer shack from me!" Or similar stuff once in a while. Compliment yourself more and bad matches won't feel as bad.
I don’t make sick plays. If I don’t know the power then I just M1 everyone

Yeah I get that, that's why I'm suggesting personal goals, so you don't get tilted in a bad match and can enjoy it in a different way, at least until mmr is here and better than ever. Maybe do some KYF rounds with new killers? I'd volunteer if you have no friends who play this game if you want haha.
With all due respect, from all the threads you made, it seems like you get tilted easily and you should try to get rid of that. I get it, I too get frustrated sometimes, but I never let that take away my fun. My first matches as Pig were all horrible, but if I would have just given up I would have never realized she is the most fun killer to me :p
I admit I get tilted easy.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Right now, the only thing you can do is not getting frustrated about it. You WILL most likely lose the first matches horribly with a new killer, I mean it's just logical. I advise you going into matches with new killers with a personal goal in mind. Like instead of getting a 2k, your personal goal could be "not phasing into a wall" or something similar easy.
With each new killer you play yore essentially a baby killer. I would prefer for killers each one has their own rank. It’s hard to get good when you’re thrown in with the professionals

Didnt they tell us that the System might act strange while it collects data?
I had actually "ok" matches during the 2nd test. Not a Sweat fest and not a stomp either. But i only played a few games.
I’m not sure. All I know everyone was saying they liked the MMR system and I hated it. It didn’t work for me at all.
-
@Xzan said:
Thats the reason why I want the MMR-System.
When I was doing the MMR all I got was either potato killers and survivor teammates or god tier killers etc etc. it didn’t make sense at all. So I’m worried if they implement that system, at least for me.

and it's funny it's not even that bad. It looks worse than it is.
Basically, it occurs when the killer would hit you, and eat a stun at the same time, be it because of dedicated server lag or not.
Thing is the pallet stun part is bugged, so it looks on both screens like you just hit them through the pallet because you don't get stunned at all. Sometimes you just go "thunk" and hit the pallet and get pushed back instead of stunned, but again, you would be stunned.
It's annoying, slightly unfair and needs to be fixed absolutely- but it isn't making survivor "unplayable" like some people are complaining.
I’ve had it happened where the pallet would be dropped, then they would swing and hit me.
-
Honestly the only thing that makes survivor kinda unplayable right now is the pallet bug. Tonight no pallets have worked for me. I drop them, killer isn’t stunned, and still manages to hit me from the other side of the pallet.
-
I have experienced this all night. I’ll drop a pallet, they will not get stunned, and still manage to hit me through the pallet. It honestly makes all pallets unsafe and survivor almost unplayable
