But there were also a ton of people who did like Old Freddy. And I'm pretty sure most people nowadays would gladly take playing as and against Old Freddy than Modern Freddy.
Definitely not. Old Freddy was absolutely annoying. The fact that you can't see him at all unless in the dream state was also very annoying and possibly unfair. Current Freddy is much better for both killer and survivors. And the nerf was justified so that he cannot just spam snares or pallets left and right without any penalty making chase very unfair to survivors in the sense that they will be going down essentially no matter what.

That Iron Maiden idea is interesting. But it should only damage you from the healthy state. Not from the injured state.

I think Felix earns the "Best default cosmetic" award for sure. That suit and hair combo is godlike.
Ace wins the worst.

I've always gotten douchebag vibes from him tbh.

I feel like it should be random each match unless you're playing against Huntress or Trickster, of course.

Maybe killers shouldn't tunnel so much. That's all I've been seeing lately is blatant tunneling.

The newest rift pass has me stuck on the red glyphs as survivor. I stopped playing killer because it wasn't fun playing cheap to win and now only play casually as a killer. But I can never find these things and when I do I can't get them without dying. I'm the lowest I've ever been on a rift pass because of it. I've never cared much for the pass before, but I am done buying them for sure now. How do you all feel? Previous passes better? Like this one?
I bought the first 3 then I stopped because I didn't like the cosmetics enough that were coming out. I may have liked one set but liking one thing out of the entire rift didn't justify spending $10 and grinding for a long time just to get them.
For example I really liked that Jamaican Adam outfit.

I'm sure punishing good survivors for being good at the game will work out wonderfully.
That is exactly what the OP has in mind.
Sure a stamina bar is more realistic, but this is not a realistic game. It punishes players even more for being good.
Bad idea.
-
In my opinion, Hook suicides are understandable sometimes when killers play like absolute donkeys and hard tunnel or facecamp/proxy camp.
When they hook suicide during an evenly contested match though, it hurts hard as a survivor knowing your team was doing well and now your chances have plummeted.
It also hurts as a killer knowing that you could've had some more fun chases. But hey, easier 4k I guess.
-
I enjoy playing against them when the person playing them decides to not be a douche and camp hooks with one character and come back as soon as a rescue is made.

Taken from a wiki:
Your goal is to gain as many points as possible for this Emblem:
- 0 points: starting value
- 0-100 points: completing Generator Repairs (1 point per contributed percent)
- Co-op repairing a Generator does not award bonus points; points for Generator Repairs are split across all contributing Survivors
- 0-33.333 points: being chased while other Survivors repair a Generator (the maximum gain is multiplied by the Repair percentage progress, ranging from values 0-1)
- 5 points: awarded to all Survivors when a Generator is completed
- 15 points: awarded to all Survivors when opening an Exit Gate
- 20 points: cleansing a Dull Totem
- 5 points: cleansing a Dull Totem mid-chase
- 50 points: cleansing a Hex Totem
- 10 points: cleansing a Hex Totem mid-chase
As you can see, if a person is truly occupying the killer, not only are they boosting the hell out of their own score if they're doing it effectively, they're elevating their team.
So does this mean that a survivor being chased can earn up to 33.33 points on the generator emblem while being chased? I guess this is good to know. I had no idea.
Most of the time though I haven't seen much of a difference, whether if I'm playing myself or watching a content creator run and loop a killer for extended periods of time. On the end game screen you often don't see anything great on the generator emblem. Maybe silver.

I think this should be fine.
But also give killers maybe some bloodpoints extra for cutting chases short, not just the "here's some hit points" I mean some Bp for if you enter a chase and within 10-20s get a down. Idk, just an idea.
I think both sides should get some more Bp to help with the grind
I agree entirely with your reply. The killer's objective is to keep chases as short as possible. If they manage to end a chase quick, they should be rewarded for it and receive BP.
Contrarily, survivors want to prolong chases as much as possible to keep the killer unfocused on other survivors and generators. So, they should be rewarded for being in long chases.
I think it works out both ways.
-
@foxsansbox said:
Survivors who occupy killers well already are rewarded.
- Passive Gen Emblem Points
- Evader Points
- Bold points if they're using the right items/obstacles
- But the most important reward - they tilt the killer and increase their teams chances of winning
Their evader points can easily be lost though if they go down in a chase regardless of how long the killer chased them for.
Also, I was not aware passive generator emblem points were are a thing. Care to elaborate? I know for a fact that survivors running killers do not get points to their lightbringer (generator emblem). As a result, survivors who can keep killers occupied for very long periods end up getting penalized for not touching generators, although they were doing an equally important job of distracting the killer so that his/her teammates could work on generators.

Can I get an opinion, anyone? Before this post plunges into the abyss known as Page 2.

Try restarting your game? Not sure what happened unless you had a built up penalty. But it doesn't sound like it.
My cousin DC'ed in a match because the killer kept downing her, then carrying her around without hooking her and it just kept going. She got a 5 minute penalty. Then when I queued up with her, it said the matchmaking penalty was an hour! She didn't see it on her screen, but it wouldn't let me queue up for some reason. If she wasn't in the lobby, I could queue up no problem. Then she reset her game, and we were able to queue up instantly.
Hey I'm not too sure what happened but after getting the 22 hour matchmaking lock I left my house for 2 hours. I just got back maybe an hour ago and decided to boot it up again and it seems my matchmaking lock is gone. I did restart the game and it seemed to do the trick.
Thank you to everyone else for your input. Like I said before I was shocked because I haven't played (before today) in perhaps 4 or 5 days and even before then I don't DC often.
Maybe mine was a visual bug.

@malatruse said:
That is a long DC penalty, sorry that happened to you.
Best thing to do in this situation is crawl as far from the hook as possible so the killer can't camp both. It sucks but sometimes you just have to play a mobile game while you wait to bleed out.
Thanks for understanding. I guess in situations like these you're right. We have to do at least something like crawl or just stop focusing on the game until it's over.
-
@Breque said:
From what i understanded you need to play an X amount of matches to the dc penalities reduce, if you have this ######### game of being camped just open youtube and wait the match end
I'm going to use that YouTube tip next time.
-
I understand that but I do not DC often? Most games I just stick through the end so I was surprised to be hit with a 22 hour out of nowhere?
The most I recall ever getting banned for was 30 minutes after someone in my SWF DC'd. Which gave us all a penalty.
-
Gameplay wise it's completely fine. I've gone against a few really good PC Nurse's already and was able to have decent chases. So, in terms of gameplay difficulty, it's pretty similar and if you're already skilled at the game, then you'll do good against any platform.
But, like others have mentioned, the framerate is the biggest killer. Maps like Midwich, Lery's, Hawkins, etc, lag frames insanely. They need to fix the framerate of this game on console. Then it would be much better.

Plague, easily. An M1 killer with mediocre perks who's power hurts their emblems every chance it gets. Puke on a survivor to get them sick? The health they lose doesn't count for emblems and you can only hit them once, hurting your emblems. They decide to cleanse? They heal, hurting your emblems. You decide to use Corrupt Purge? Doesn't count for emblems if you injure them, HURTING YOUR EMBLEMS EVEN MORE. Seriously, I think the only way to get Plague's adept is to completely ignore her power. After a few days of trying it I decided to not use her power and what do you know? I got it first game.
Corrupt Intervention and Infectious Fright are good perks.
And idk about you but I always 3k or 4k with Plague and get Ruthless or Merciless.
-
I'd say Old Myers. His perks (before their reworks) conflicted with each other and did not work together at all.
-
If this is consistent, then you need to just get a new router.
For the past 3 weeks, I could not play without s**t internet because my internet service provider was stretched all over the place due to the pandemic. So, each time my router crashed I got banned and I eventually gave up. Yeah, it sucks but nothing we can do about it.
Thankfully, my internet service provider finally fixed the signal box outside (2 weeks after I scheduled the appointment for them to do so -_-)
My advice is to save up and get a better router/modem unless you know that your internet problems are strictly temporary, like mine were.

If implemented right, I think it's a good idea. Skill checks are currently way too easy since the ruin rework.
If there's a way to make skill checks actually require a bit more skill without being as annoying as old ruin, then I'd be all for it.
-
I play Survivor and Killer nearly equally. Maybe 55% Survivor / 45% Killer or 60% Survivor / 40% Killer.
I think all of the changes (besides the Prove Thyself buff) are all good updates to this game. Finally, there has been an actual tweak to generator repair time, and the few second difference can be the difference between just getting to a gen, or the survivors seeing you coming but committing anyway because they know you move slower than the generator is.
The elimination of god-loops is also a great change. Survivors will often abuse them and think they're great at looping killers around the map. With the elimination of them, it will expose survivors that have map knowledge, strategy, and quick-thinking and differentiate them from those who actually don't know how to loop a killer at all.
Lastly, scaling down certain maps that are too large to be more in line with other maps is a great decision, that will hopefully provide more viability to lower mobility killers.
The devs did a great job with this update.

I think this is perfectly fair!! I've Disconnected 5 times since they implemented the penalty. One was actually my Internet but I got on top of it and fixed it... Someone with crappy internet should not be playing this or any other multiplayer game because they ruin other experiences. Yes, I've actually done it before. I stopped playing my favorite games when I realized I was going to have to use crappy Internet for a month. Personally I think 5 minutes isn't enough. I'd of not disconnected if the first penalty was 10 minutes. It needs bumped because people are starting to DC again on my side. If it's a internet issue get it fixed or please don't ruin others experiences!!
My internet is weird. When it works, it works well because of my LAN connection. But, like I said, it will randomly reset itself at times. How can that be my fault? Put yourself in my shoes instead of projecting blame.

It really didn't help that certain devs gave certain streamers a heads up when they or their friends were approaching the ban percentage limit.
I didnt know they even did that.

@Dehitay said:
I thought the first 2 disconnects were both 5 mins and the 3rd was the 15 min one.
That's true. I intentionally disconnected once earlier because I got glitched and was stuck in an object as killer and couldnt move.
The latter 2 disconnects were purely from my wifi choosing to be an a-hole.

I don't think the problem is in regard movement speed. I think issue is in rewards in hitting his gun. He's suppose to be a killer that relies on getting downs with his gun but current iteration of his power seems to be more drawback than helpful tool for downing people. Unlike Huntress who has pretty big hatchet hitbox, this guy gets 1 hatchet that he has hit with pixel perfect precision and if he hits, he just gets an injure. The killer is like high skill, low reward. He even has add-on called iri coin that increases his reward for landing harpoon into an instant down... but it has restriction of 15 meters, however the irony is that the further you hit a survivor with your gun, the more chance the survivor has to hook himself on object and break free, so like that add-on is entirely counter-productive. It gives illusion that he has ranged attack but really he doesn't. For safe loops, it doesn't even help him when the pallet is thrown down compare to huntress who can down people through pallets. I love his skill-cap and he's super fun to play, but if he gets released like this, he'll be proper f-tier killer. I feel like they should do what they did with Demogorgon's ultra-rare add-on and make it base kit. Remove 15 meter range restriction and just put exposed into his base kit, I also don't think his power should injure you or apply deep wound if you break free from his chain. I think these changes would make him high skill high reward killer. Maybe his ultra-rare gives him 2 shots instead of 1 shot for extra challenge for survivor. Take this post as personal opinion regarding new killer.
.
Exposed should not be put into his base kit. Maybe he needs more range or the ability to pull survivors over pallets. If he can pull survivors over pallets, he'll instantly be moved up a couple tiers because that'll help him win/negate potential chases.
I feel this is the change he needs.

All and all though it's a training wheel perk like windows of opportunity and Zanshin Tactics with the added benifet that it isn't locked behind a dlc wall
Windows of Opportunity isnt so much a training wheels perk. It is useful to identify which pallets have been used by your teammates and it can show you the best path to go.

I was playing Ghostface 2 days ago on PS4 and everything was laggy! The lobby and blood web were laggy, chases were laggy, entering bloodlust was laggy, breaking objects and interacting with entities was laggy, etc. It made playing killer so frustrating and made it extremely easy to get juked or 360d because it was so laggy.
But other times are just fine with no lag at all. I played Demogorgon the next day and probably didnt have a single lag spike.
This game is strangely inconsistent on consoles.
I cant image what the Nintendo Switch version is like.
-
I'm good with and have fun playing as Pig, Demogorgon, Wraith and Spirit.
-
Good tier-list. I'd probably switch Hag and Huntress as well. Also, I haven't played against a single post-rework Nurse on PS4 since her rework so I have no opinion on her.
I think the argument can be made for Pig to be in B-Tier.

So far I really like him. He definitely needs no nerfs!

Nah, I'm keeping them because they're now a more effective Iridescent Button addon.
I think keeping survivors guessing on whether or not to stay on a gen is a good change for this addon ^^
But now she has no mid-chase mind-game potential because the survivor will hear her phasing. ?
-
The no collision change is great.
I never had a problem with Prayer Beads. It made the game scary and you had to always be on edge. That being said, I think universal phasing sounds will still be good since the survivors won't know if she is near them or not. However, there is a big problem with this. Unless the survivor she is in chase with can't hear her phasing while being chased, this change completely removes her ability to mind game her phasing during a chase.
I personally am not a big fan of the window vault change. But I'm not against it and while I liked how it was before, it will certainly make her more balanced.
I think the devs did a good job. But please make it so survivors in a chase with Spirit can't hear her phasing sounds with prayer beads otherwise it just completely removes her mind-game potential.

They do nothing.
They hang from the survivors' belt or the killers' hook.
So what's the purpose?
-
I have no idea what charms even do. It is not explained well.
-
Literally. ๐
-
Spirit actually takes both forethought and quick-thinking during a chase so chases against her are always intense and mysterious. There's always a roll of the dice and when you outplay a Spirit, it is very fun.
Personally, the only thing I feel is unfair about Spirit is her collision. Running into her mid-chase is not fun and can completely shut off pathways and grants her an easy down. I'm fine with Prayer Beads, but I don't like collision.

I like Amanda's power. I feel she needs buffs, but not a complete power rework.

It sucks for PC players but just let the devs test the servers and iron out the issues so that when dedicated servers do eventually release, they'll be good.
