Shadow Step is generally a strong perk. It is weak on some maps like Shelter Woods, but that's Shelter Woods. It's especially strong in The Game and in Lery's, even if Lery's isn't multi-level. Midwich, despite being Multilevel, isn't particularly strong for it as the map is too simple and linear without enough obstructions to really take advantage of Shadow Step.
It's also pretty good on Rpd too depending on where you put it.

I hear somewhere that the system could detect an afk player, don't know if thats true.

honestly, it could be incorporated with the lore though, saying the survivors all exist at the same time r sumn
I prefer it being just gameplay, i never liked the idea of multiple of the same people.
-
Liscenced
Chucky, Pennywise, candyman, Jason, Slenderman, More crypt TV, fearstreet maybe as skins, happy deathday.
Original
Pirate, Knight, cultist, a widow, Mummy, teacher,

Time is non linear like in nemesis and ph's cases and plague showing up hundreds of years later.
Mutiple survivors are just a gameplay aspect, not everything would translate perfectly with the lore, locking people out of their mains just because there's already someone using that character would be pretty lame.

Devs said cosmetics are not canon. The only canon skins are the default skins and the blighted skins because it canonically connects to Talbot/Blight lore. They also said there is only 1 of each characters in the realm. Since the Entity favor some of its food it may just wait till one character is in the void then it takes another version of the same character in the realm.
True, mcote also gave a similar answer when someone asked him if there would be survivor version of a killer and vice-versa.

I'd beg to differ... It doesn't make sense to get blighters killers who were brought in by the entity after Talbot's transformation, yet retcon it and say it happened before. The other survivors, or even the Observer, could introduce a new storyline that revolves around the serums, or even an effort by a character to "cure" Talbot.
There was never a truly satisfactory answer to *how* Talbot captured, knocked out, or restrained any killer to perform these experiments; since he wasn't a survivor, he couldn't have stabbed them in the back with a vial A Lá Decisive Strike.
There's just so many more ways to continue the blighted events and the story. IMHO, which isn't worth much.
I was just mentioning what might have been their reasoning, I liked the theme of the blight and wanted more story too
-
Silent hill. Didn't even like the franchise before that but the chapter was amazing
-
I like it too! Loved the new loading screen and I'm enjoying smashing pumpkins even if they don't do anything.
-
The blight is part of the entity's anatomy as far as we now, they are still happening but since the event was centered around the blight (killer) and his story ended there's no reason to explore the team anymore.
-
A few of them have supernatural skills but none on them have same level of a eldritch God, so none of them.

Or the devs can actually put in some effort like they used to.
I'm not the one playing right now. I've hardly played since the RE chapter so this doesn't effect me.
But you got your answer and it's a valid one, so don't try to brush it off.
What effort? Do 100 gens and get a recolor like summer bbq?

I don’t understand why people blindly defend this company to the level they do.
The criticism should be kept civil and within the rules, of course.
I don't think this is a case of blind defence, a lot of people are just tired of seeing everyone complaining about pointless things.
They could have phrased better but it's not that big of a deal.
-
I think in lore they still happen, but since the event was a big teaser for the blight there's no motr reason to do them ( pretty lame if it's the true, I live the thematic of this event)
-
Why do people bash the newer events and glorify the old ones like summer bbq wich added nothing new to do and also just had some lame revolors?

People love drama and any reason to bash BHVR.
Posts like this often do little more than reflect and/or expose the mindset of such people.
Right? No wonder bhvr doesn't communicate as much a it used to, this community freaks out about everything 🙄
-
I don't really care about the voice actors, but i would love more atmospheric sounds

Graphically the games looks technically better but some of the new maps have an unpleasant pallete which makes me think the same as you. Daytime maps give the wrong atmosphere and so do all grey/brown maps.
But I remember old DS juggling, old ruin punishing newbie me and the hatch standoffs. If you had posted this on Wednesday I would also have said, "and do you remember how you could get a good 3 gen prepared only for three people to effectively DC via the jumping in the hatch and then get bonus points for doing so)
Also, I would miss the 60fps 4K graphics. I couldn't go back to 15fps again!
I agree, I think on Ormond it looks fine but coldwind had such a cool vibe before, now it's pretty lame
-
1 - rework almost every map
2 - buff soloq to swf level and balance killers accordingly
3 - nightime coldwind
4 - more indoor maps
5 - rewrite most of the archives lore

If they don't deny it VERY soon, as in tomorrow at the latest or maybe monday, I'm taking that as confirmation.
I doubt they will say anything tomorrow, I think it's fake, whoever did this posted intentionally on a Friday night to have the foruns on pure chaos for 2 days and on Monday bhvr will post on Twitter " Not true lol".
-
I don't, I'm waiting for bhvr to say something.
-
I agree but at the same time I think the entity is aware, same case with Michael and ph moving without an offering, for the Entity is something so insignificant that it doesn't take any action.

Rumors are Pinhead had his lines removed because of a deal with NFT's to make more money.
NFT's basically let you mark a digital product with a seal of authenticity, making it more valuable than a mere copy of said digital product.
This is SUPER bad because 1. It's greedy as ######### and 2. It hurts the planet with crypto farms
Forgive my ignorance but what is a NFT?
-
In the end of the day my matches got better so I don't really care.
-
What annoys me the most is people asking things that have arealdy been answered or can't be answered.
Like people asking about pinhead voice lines, they said mutiple times they can't talk about it.
-
Can't agree, i love the map.
-
I play as both roles but mostly survivor, playing as killer gives me anxiety
I like the atmosphere and the idea that I am in a big building with a killer on the loose is pretty cool to me, Gideon and hospital don't give me that vibe because the appearance and layout are pretty unrealistic, the closest map that matches the feeling is Midwich. I don't like outdoor maps mainly because the gameplay is pretty repetitive, the only thing unique about them is the main building, outside is just the same old tiles with a coat of paint over them.
-
Either pretty chill or pretty toxic, but everyone tends to overreact a lot.
-
People say that Silent Hill is hell on earth but it's actually solo q.
-
My friend played against a swf and killed one of them, they started swearing at her because the player she killed was deaf.
-
I wouldn't mind, i live the map.
-
I loved the lore! Only thing is bothering me right now is that it seems every survivor has a relative or friend who was taken by the entity.
-
The old ones have a more artistic feeling towards them while the new ones is looking like they just took a picture of their models.
-
I like the lore.

I don't think it's going to be a killer (at least this update). Year 6 has 5 survivors and 4 killers planned. So if we get a survivor now, the next 2 chapters can have the usual 1 killer and 1 survivor and 1 of those two will have a new map.
There's only one map remaining this year, when they said they were releasing 2 new maps the rpd counted as one of them.
-
None, i would jus change my build.
-
It's fine for me

How many do you think you play tell it seemed ok? I'm probably around 70 and still 5-10 way better than me survivors then 1-2 baby's and then back to the better than me. ######### is the middle ground were I belong?
Idk, in my games everyone is pretty average, everyone loops no god players neither babies and i usually end up with 2k or 3k.
-
Yeah, my matches have been great

@Dr_Loomis said:
They need to stop putting out these eye-rollingly dumb challenges.
They also need to have it where you can contribute to multiple challenges per match. Maybe have at least 3 or 5 selected and then gain progression over the course of matches.
Finding thosebcrappy yellow gems is bad enough but having them interrupted and disappear to another part of the map is like walking in to someone else's fart.
Those Huntress challenges are peak turd. Really bad.
Now that you mentioned yellow gens I realized I haven't seem them in a while, what happened to them?
-
Demo, he could momentarily stun Myers and eat his head like in his mori.
-
Depending on how they go with it, I've always found werewolves and vampires kinda cartoonish monsters, i would prefer if they choose a similar creature but from another culture instead of being the tradional ones (dracula).
-
I like the map too :(

Both are rulers of their own specific pocket dimensions. So I say it would be close.
I haven't read the full lore of the entity and the extent of its influence, but I have seen all three (current) seasons of Stranger Things. I think where the line may be crossed is that the Mind Flayer has influence over the real world and its pocket dimension. It can send its own creatures into the real world and also materialize itself via mind control and mass melting. The entity however, cannot harm anyone in the real world and can only take from the looks of it, and seems only to be able to influence those inside of the fog. So I'd say the Mind Flayer might win this one by a small margin
It can also influence people outside of it, it did this with Rin's father, Plague and Victor who came back to life before going to the fog.

I can't wait for them to add more deadzones to swamp and put every single pallet on the edge of the map :)
The middle already is a giant deadzone, at least it would be a pretty one

It would bring me back to the game in no time.
I only agree on Coldwind's case, autohaven looked like garbage.

I don't think Pyramid Head would get along with anyone, but if it's true that killers teach other killers their teachables then I could imagine some petty rivalry.
I've always considered teachables only a survivor thing and also depending on the perk, I don't think any killer aside Legion is allowed to interact with on another.

Plaything is a interesting perk. When I used it last I had 3 hex totems. Remember only a specific survivor can cleanse their hex so you could potentially see 4 hex totem until those survivors cleanse them.
Oh! So it was just me being dumb ;-;
-
I believe it happened to me as well, killer had 2 hex totems and in the end screen he only had plaything, but I'm also not sure if hex: plaything spawn 2 totems.
-
I pretty much agree with everything, and I'm pretty bummed that the next survivor might be a female again :/
