I shouldn't have to be held hostage for 6 minutes because the killer NEEDS a 4k.
The bleed out option is the timer whilst you're in the dying state. It also doesn't take 6 minutes to bleed out.

Killer doesn't know who runs BPS.

It is fair to be blinded when breaking a pallet. Is it likable? No. Is it toxic? To some people, but it's fair.

It's actually whenever the survivor experiences a skill-check they get notified of it; regardless of whether or not they hit it.
I have been wanting a buff to Lullaby for ages. To make the notification for the Hex only appear when the killer has at least one token for it and a survivor gets a skill-check. I don't hold out hope they'll change this anytime soon, since the devs never mention it on livestreams, reply to the posts about it on here etc
That's odd, I guess I haven't played against it for so long that I've forgotten the notification. I thought it was as soon as you're on Gen. Either way, that's still pretty bad since skill checks are so common when 2-3 Survivors are on a Gen. Especially when they use the typical meta perk, Spine Chill.

When I'm playing sometimes I see items in chests or on the ground and think it's not fair the killer cant take these unheld items or destroy them.
It would be neat if the killer could pick up items and keep them from survivors, with his new Hoarder perk. Added with Franklin he could get all sorts of stuff.
Also it would be neat if the items he kept could become charms the killer could wear. Like a ring of keys or Halloween lunchbox hanging from his belt.
I think the idea of a perk revolving around chests is great. However taking items from survivor and not giving it back is meh. It doesn't really do much to the survivor. Maybe trapping the chests with something similar to Mindbreaker be great.
-
You do realize that 'The Game' has the most kill rate %'s according to BHVR statistics? Also, Haddonfield is very killer dependent. It may not be great for someone playing Bubba but it is excellent for Trapper. Just put all the traps at the top of the stairs and problem solved. I've never had much of an issue with Preschool unless I'm getting gen rushed but that can be with any map.

Calling someone racist for seeing a similarity in something within something else is honestly just pathetic (and if it was a joke, it was a pretty bad joke). I can say it somewhat resembles a swastika without being racist. It's so common sense that I'm honestly surprised I had to explain this to you. Grow up.
It's common sense that the first thing that pops into your mind coming from a Canadian MMO horror game about a 4v1 when you see some lines in a tome is a Nazi Symbol? That's what you call common sense? I could understanding pointing it out as a joke or saying "Hey, that almost looks like a Swastika/Asian symbol", but posting it and recommending to the Devs it needs to be changed because "it might send the wrong message"? You need to grow up bud. OP I'm sure was just jokingly mentioning it. But it seems you're the one who would've actually ranted about it had you actually caught it.
-
To be clear, I don't really care and nor do I think you're a racist. It was a dry humor comment, little snide for sure but it's in jest. This post isn't nearly as bad as when someone complained about the racism behinds blackface leatherface.

Oh, instantly pulling the racist card are we? Nah, swastika's are so well known because of the amount of people pointing out swastika's in designs.
Personally, I'm all for devaluing the swastika back to just being an asian symbol.
If you're about devaluing it, then why make a post saying it might send the wrong message? Hell you could've not mentioned it at all and I'm betting 90% of folks would not really have noticed it. And the ones that do would kinda point it out to their friends, giggle, and move on.

That's not how that works. Chill on the racist card bud.
If you're not going to explain to me how that doesn't work, then maybe you shouldn't voice your opinion on it. Also the comment was sarcastic since someone really wanted to post about the vague semblance of a tome web line.
-
Much as I agree, problem with that is then there's no "3rd chance" for the survivor to escape via wiggling out, DS, etc.
-
Only message I see is that you're probably a racist for that being the first thing to pop into your mind noticing it.
-
This is also just my personal opinion. But I feel like the people who want old Freddy back are Survivor mains who hate going against new Freddy because he's difficult to win against while the people who main Killer are mostly the ones who want to maintain new Freddy. That's just what I'm guessing because no Killer main hates new Freddy but will admit he's boring due to his power and is a brain dead killer to play.
-
All the people complaining honestly just sounds like you didn't know how to properly use him. It's like new people who played Nurse and immediately stopped when it actually required skill.
He was fun, although OP in my opinion. Seeing people across the entire map while in the dream world no matter where you were? Unable to wake up unless it was a failed skill check which meant constant Gen regression or unable to heal yourselves. Can't be seen unless Survivors are sleeping so he can find you a lot easier, also mind game you to get that first hit when you fall asleep He was legit built for end game with his power and perks combined. Now as new Freddy, his power sucks for end game and isn't great when matched with his perks.
I don't mind new Freddy, a tad boring but he's only stronger due to his newfound map pressure.
-
I assume your point in making this is to show how ridiculous/OP/toxic this is and honestly, it doesn't make sense. If you're going for a face-camping bubba, why would you do Ebony Mori? Do you not know how his chainsaw works? Are you unaware of what the perk Insidious actually does when your whole build is centered around the basement?
If you're going to point out this build, at least be as smart as the killers who actually use Face-camping bubba.

I'm on computer but my killer wait times or horrendous. I usually play survivor because I hate how long the killer wait times are. I use to play killer more but having to wait around for 5 to 10 minutes between matches just sucks.
Maybe at low ranks for you. But on PC Rank 1, I get matches instantly every time. And as a Rank 1 Survivor, I have to wait (Solo queue) for 2-5 minutes. Longest is 10 but that depends on the time of day.
-
@luvcraft said:
I've had a couple games tonight where I've been hiding WAY out of the way in weird spots and the killer has bee-lined right toward me, and they haven't been using chili or any other perks that would have told them where I was. I know there's a lot of anti-cheat software on the game, but is it possible that these players have a hack that's showing them where survivors are?
Have you also considered that maybe you are running to your destination and leaving scratch marks? I've caught survivors who would've never been noticed by me had I not seen the faint scratch marks in the area.
-
That's what wall hacks means? Jesus. I've been reported countless times for "Wall hacks" and I thought they were meaning I hit them through the wall or something even though it was probably just a latency issue on their end. People are dumb and don't like being outplayed, reporting anyone who's too good. I recall getting reported one time because I was herding 3 survivors into a shack as Freddy and began to feign teleport to the Gen. One dropped a pallet and stood outside waiting as I approached him so I dropped the teleport and downed him. Got reported for cheating.
-
So the bias I have is that Survivors shouldn't be able to find out what the other dude is doing. That takes away from the horror aspect (what little there is left) of the game. Survivor 1 who is across the map shouldn't know what survivor 2-4 is doing on the other side and vice versa. And I think that was the intention of the game originally before they did SWF to increase the amount of players for survivors. Granted this is also coming from a guy where you shouldn't see someone slugged (unless it's a perk or something).
But I do admit that solo survivors need some form of buff to compete with SWF's.
-
Much as I want to agree with you, everyone has beat me to the punchline. This would heavily increase lobby dodging. Now the wait time for a solo queue survivor has just vastly increased all because a Killer didn't want to take on the challenge.I hate playing against toxic SWF's as much as the next Killer but this will make it miserable for everyone.
-
Though their comments are horrid and are not condoned and I'm not defending them, did you tell said survivors you had a key or make any effort for them to follow you to the hatch? Salty killers will be salty. But if you straight up abandoned your teammates, challenge or not, that's a dick move.
I personally hate it when someone does just enough to complete their ritual or challenge, and then suicides/escapes without everyone else and essentially kills us all.

Just picking the perk is taking advantage its bs its punished him for being good he clearly didn't tunnel it rewarded survivor failure like all the other crutch perks they abuse
If any person picks any perk, it's taking advantage. Would it have been taking advantage if Jane had run Calm Spirit too, countering his Infectious Fright? I've heard this same tiresome argument for NOED and Stridor and Old Ruin and any other perk that gives the other team the disadvantage. And that's every single perk in the game.
Yes, he was good enough (or the survivors were just bad enough) to all be downed at the same time. It's not his fault for the DS to pop off. Even if it did, I'm guaranteeing you he still probably got a 4k. ######### happens. The Jane didn't abuse anything by just having the perk, nor did she did anything toxic-like to make sure the killer did get DS. He bee-lined straight for her, she tried to run away as you can clearly see. She got downed just fast enough for DS to still be active.

So you're saying that I'm supposed to ignore Infectious Fright, let Jane happily get the unhook, pick up the other survivor all while I carry the one survivor to the hook. It's not like they made any mistakes here. Clearly it's not fair that I down them too quickly for making mistakes, god forbid I try to touch the Jane after hooking another survivor and downing two more.
You can do whatever you want, it's your match and it's your strategy. However clearly the survivors you're going against are playing like potatoes compared to you in that match and I'm sure your goal is to get a lot of BP and to "please" the entity. So why not? Hell from the looks of the video, there was another hook not even like 15 meters away. You could've easily hooked the most recovered person and come back in time to down someone else before they had left the area.
I'm just telling you, there's no reason to complain because you grabbed someone who had DS still active and wasn't purposefully using it to take advantage of you. Peanits already covered strategically who you should've grabbed first.
-
Jane wasn't even intentionally trying to bait you with DS. She was just in range of infectious fright and you ran straight towards her instead of hooking the other 2 downed survivors. I don't see what the problem is here. It's not like she hopped into a locker mid chase with it and you either eat it or wait nearly 60 seconds for it to wear off.
-
Yes it get's boring after a while. Played for 2 months straight I think, everyday. Highlight was the new chapter. Recently took a break and started playing Overwatch/SWTOR to give this game a break.
-
Regardless of the end result, I always say GG. For me to be personally satisfied with the game as a killer, I have to get min. 2 kills. Pipping doesn't matter to me because I'm already Rank 1 and ranks just don't matter anymore. As a Survivor, I have to get a minimum of 18k points. Even if I don't survive, that's what I'm striving for. I play killer more often to get BP because being a Survivor just sucks at getting BP, especially solo queue.
-
If only I was a low ranking killer... I could get 4k's too all day long with no add-ons or even perks.
-
Gonna miss those tiles where I could out loop a killer for days (and I'm not the best at chases). But I understand how it feels as a Killer when a survivor abuses the system and uses perks like dead hard to prolong that chase for god knows how long.
-
Both bases seem toxic because the people who are toxic are also people who are the most vocal. Just gotta keep pressing on.

Oh, excuse me please. How dare I? 🤭
It’s not like i used to watch a lot of streamers and youtube videos while I wasn’t playing. I don’t know anything about the poor killer players... 😢
Watching someone do it is completely different from doing it yourself. Talking as a Rank 1 Survivor and Killer, no it's pretty hard getting kills up at red rank. Especially when they are a SWF's, just as you are yourself which you have stated. The goal of the game according to the Devs is that the average kill rate is supposed to be 2k. However, the current balance is you're either getting 0k or you're getting 4k. There's hardly an in-between as often as there should be.
Everything you've also listed can easily be countered.
1.) Spawn: If you spawn near the killer 'every damn match', then why don't you stay hidden for around 5-10 seconds to ensure that person isn't nearby, or move away from the area?
2.) Hooks: There are offerings to increase the distance of those hooks. You also have toolboxes and perks to hinder the killer from getting their hook. If you are utilizing the tools handed to you, that's on you and your team.
3.) Hatch/Door: You can bring a key or find a key. You can either search for the hatch or camp a door and immediately open it soon as the hatch is closed. I've seen that happen nearly every time I close the hatch as a killer and I can't make it to the survivor most of the time because they're too far away and they escape.
Not every map is getting reduced in size, nor do we know how MUCH they are reducing it. It appears they're only taking away a couple of tils so you may hardly notice the difference at your level. And calling a killer "salty and thirsty af" for trying to kill you in game where the objective is to literally sacrifice you is not helping your argument.
-
Strongest and balanced killer to date. Very boring to play constantly. Usually only whip him out when I want to get some quick BP. Difficult to survive against but that's because most survivors aren't adapted to his aggressive pressure.
-
Sorry that you as a Killer relied so heavily on old Ruin. I can typically throw a string of any perks and usually get a 3k.

i just dont see how tunneling and camping is strategic or necessary slugging however is strategic and necessary as it applies pressure in a non toxic way. i dont think slugging is toxic because it doesnt contribute to the hook count of the survivor and it prolongs the game and forces survivors off of gens
Again, it depends on context.
Let's say a killer is in the end game with all 4 survivors being alive and has just hooked someone while the gates are open. The gates are nearby and there are no more gens to be done so the best thing you can practically do is camp instead of walking away. Said survivor gets unhooked, he's the only one injured and again, the exit gate is not that far for him to easily escape if you hit someone who isn't injured. Logically, what would you do? To secure a kill, you would down that already injured survivor, chase anyone else out/down them, and then rehook that survivor (Assuming he doesn't have DS or BT).
What if Survivors gen locked themselves in a very tight group. Killer downs a survivor and hooks that person within that group. Well now the Killer is technically camping, even though he is defending the 3 gens that the survivor is currently hooked in.
Last example. Survivor is hooked, get's unhooked. Killer chases the person who unhooked that survivor. Survivor who was unhooked decides to stick around the area, visibly, for whatever reason. Whether it's working on a gen, healing, totems, etc. Strategically speaking, is the Killer really going to let the Survivor do what's it's doing which is to ultimately survive and beat the killer? No. You would tunnel and slug/hook that person because they chose to be risky and not leave for safety.

im an entitled survivor main so i dont feel sorry for killers and i believe theyre overpowered seeing as you can easily shut games down quickly if you slug, tunnel and camp, without perks or add ons. wow "when i get camped i usually run kindred" i love being able to change your perk mid game when youre getting camped. when youre in a swf you dont need kindred lmao. it may be good for solo. im simply saying ive been to red rank 2 as killer and 1 as surivor. I have over 1300 hours in the game but i mean it still doesnt matter when killer to me is boring and i dont enjoy playing it because its so easy. survivor side needs to be more balanced and that will always be my opinion. Im sure if people actually saw their in game stats as in how many times theyve won vs loss everyone would throw a fit because i know with the skill that i have that every game is always a blend of luck and skill none of which matters for a killer that plays like scum.
Survivors can just as easily shut down games by Gen rushing to the max with their combined usage of perks and add-ons. I also play SWF and I still use Kindred because I like to see where the killer is at, especially if your whole team combined it with open handed (super overpowered by the way. Seeing killers in a 40m radius). The use of your perks is based on what you run whether as solo or as a group. Kudos to you, you don't need Kindred. I don't either, but I still use it to switch it up and get away from the meta perks.
I'm rank 1 killer and survivor too and I can say that it's pretty balanced on both sides depending on the skill levels. The only complaint I have is the gen rushing speed and the rank system where I as a Rank 1 am going up against level 10s and vice versa. Arguably, being a survivor takes more luck than skill. You can go a whole game playing like a potato. But as long as you stay relatively hidden and your teammates are good, you can easily be carried. You can also be the most highly skilled survivor and still lose because the other guy wanted to run the killer straight into you. Whereas being a killer, you have to fight 4 separate individuals of varying skills and any mistake you make is on you and no one else.
So it ties back to, depending on the situation and context, camping and tunneling and slugging is probably more strategically sound than just giving someone their "right" to having 3 hooks and walking across the map every time to ensure they don't get camped or tunneled.
-
I find it extremely toxic when it's used against Nurses. But then again, I just feel bad for those bugged bastards.
-
If you want to be a real cancer.
Distressing/Unnerving Presence/Coulrophobia/Thanataphobia
If you're looking to have hunting perks
Ruin/Surveillance/BBQ/(4th perk can be whatever, STBFL is good, as well as slopping butcher, Distressing, etc. You're a doc so it's your call).
-
Camping is strategic, tunneling is strategic, slugging is strategic. Whatever it takes to take kill someone and get them out of the game is strategic for the killer. Some methods you're just not going to like one bit. I hate it when I get tunneled more than I get camped. When I get camped, I usually run kindred so other survivors know to keep doing gens, and I'll stay on that hook for a full 2 mins if I have to while the others escape.
But just because I hate it doesn't mean I don't understand why. You ever seen a killer be in a chase and 3 gens are done by the time he finishes that that relatively short chase? Typically because they run Prove Thyself or toolboxes or both. Getting a couple of gens done by the end of the first chase is supposed to be the norm, stated by the Devs. Getting an average of 2k per match is also supposed to the norm, also stated by the Devs. A scummy, high guaranteed way of getting that minimum 2k is tunneling and camping. But that's if you're just a bad killer who can't do chases or are going against really good survivors.
I've had it where I did 5 hooks before the 4th gen was done because they played like potatoes or I just outplayed them. I've also had games where I was that killer who had 2-3 gens popped before I finished the first chase (especially Ormond). This game attempts to be balanced but things can be swayed very quickly depending on the Survivors. So killers turn to quick and easier routes, I can't blame them, even if I hate their tactics.
-
Also dependent on ranks but it's your ranking of the individual perks based on power, not of it's usage in ranks. I've seen Thanataphobia and MYC more than DH and SS perks, especially with them being deadlier. And though there is massive complaint, ruin is still a great perk, especially with surveillance but you put it in a row where it needs synergy so it's agreeable. Only one thing I honestly don't agree with is TOH should not be as high up as it is. It's a useless perk that honestly just takes up a slot.
-
Freddy will always be the hardest to go against. Strongest killer with the highest kill rate.

You can try running the game as administrator as Desh suggested above, but I don't feel like that'll do anything in my opinion. If all else fails, you can try asking him to submit a support ticket to the support team. I'm sure they'll be able to figure out the problem for him, and if not... Than I don't know what to tell you to be honest.
I don't really like dumping people on the support team when I don't have an answer, but I don't really see any other option for him to go to. He can see if his settings are off or something... Otherwise the key-bind change should've worked. Anyways, if you do decide to submit a support ticket than pick the "Other" option and fill out the form provided afterwards.
here's the link to the support team
I doubt running it as administrator will work as well. Usually 1 of 3 things solves it.
1.) Check key bindings and ensured they are enabled. If you are using the same key binding for a third party voice chat and the game, (I.e Discord, Teamspeak, etc.), switch it to something else.
2.) Run the game as administrator, won't really change much but it doesn't hurt to try.
3.) Uninstall and redownload the game.

He is a troll don't bother
1- I agree with this, if you think the survivor is in the locker try to bait him out of the locker by going through the side and backing off last second
2-We all know streamers are toxic, your best hope is to either bring a mori or camp/slug him
3- That there isn't much to do about that
4-You can allways bring an offering if you are desperate for another map
5-Ignore all report threats, unless you actually break a game rule nothing will happen to you
6-Bets hope is to disable chat, and block every menssage, or kill them with kindness and whish them a happy day, it usually makes them angrier
7-How is that unfair for a killer? Its all random chances soo sometimes you get closer and sometimes really far away
Counters or explanations:
1-As stated, I've already done that. I'll trick them so that they come out. I'll wait a second for the animation to finish so that I go in for a swing. But there are times where I still get stunned even when the animation is over. I can't tell if it's the perk's stun window or a latency issue.
2-I hardly ever Mori unless I run DH. But I typically end most of them very quickly. I just hate having to deal with them so much because they're all red rank due to their followers. Not to their actual skill.
3-More of a complaint to Devs.
4-I could but shouldn't you know? We have all these maps in the game yet I have to bring an offering to stop going to the constant 3-4 maps I go to every time? My offerings typically go to more BP since it's blood rush.
5-I do, but it's still infuriating.
6-Need to start doing that instead of trying to reason with them.
7-It's unfair for the survivors. I shouldn't be hooking someone 10-15 seconds into the match. Nor would I want to spawn in and have a killer immediately come after me because he saw me immediately when the match started.
