Or you can stop assuming im acting in bad faith, my replys are quite quick so "big words" aren't big and in no sense has anyone of you asked my to define them.
Im talking exactly how I would talk in real life.
Don't be the other guy and assert my intentions and pretend you know what I am thinking when my argument is stated above and it is simple.

if they did it appropriately and actually took our advice/ideas more the game would be better.
i have seen and made many reworks or buffs for various topics and a lot of them are actually good but get ignored by the devs and community unless it concerns meta perks or something highly debatable like death slingers ADS. try making a buff suggestion about Hex: the third seal or unnerving presence barely anyone pays attention to them.
of course seeing something controversial like a noed/ds/bbq/insert "OP" perk should not be taken at face value right away and its important to see how the community as a whole reacts to the idea. One of the biggest things i would like is some way to actually decide what perks or killers get reworked/buffed/nerfed next and for the devs to take our ideas for those things. look at the hillbilly addons, quite a few of the addons are trash how many better ideas for an addon do you think this community could come up with?
I get they can't just tell us everything they will do but taking more of our advice and allowing us to have some impute in reworks and balance in this game would make it a lot better.
edit: an amazing example of something we know better than them is how broken OoO is despite its low survival rate, if we were asked to provide some ideas and a promise that this perk would be reworked they would get a ton of support and ideas for it.
I value your thinking.

It's funny you say that because when he responded back to you about anti tunnel perks you said he was wrong and telling him to rely on his teammates for his survival when basically this is a last man standing type of game. He can do what he wants and equip what he needs to survive the trial. That's basically what the game is about
Strawman, illogical conclusion, generally fallacious as well is not an argument but a assertion.
Therefore true to my word, I will just be stating you fallacy and adhere to the fallacy's fallacy, as if you aren't interested in a real conversation then I am not either.

Funny how you say that because you said if he's getting chased then his team can get gens but what if they don't? What if they're hiding in a corner because they so happen to be in the terror radius while he's trying to loop that pallet that happens to be near the area where the gen is? You think every survivor is doing gens when they're in a corner/locker hoping the heartbeat would just go away. Yeah whatever floats your boat man
Stop making a circular argument ill state it one last time.
If they don't it the other survs fault, in that case its still the survs fault they lost to tunnel.
I don't think anything other then what I have told you to your knowledge, so back off and stop telling me what I think and form a actual argument that doesn't rely on you strawmaning me and focusing on semantics to win points for an argument that is flawed from the start.
-

Not if you got players who run away at the slightest heartbeat. You're proposing that every survivor is on gens when they're not getting chased when that's not the case most of the time. I had a game where survivors would run when they hear a heartbeat. So don't assume every player is going to be doing gens when they're not getting chased
Sure occasionally your team is incompetent, however generally they will actually just do gens naturally.
The problem is this is a strawman because I haven't assumed one thing or the other, I simply stated if you are in chase your team can get gens, and that's the end of that.
Stop being disingenuous, the point was simple, if he does his part his team can do their part. IF they don't then its not on him, its on his team, either way survivors still would be the reason why the tunnel worked.
Present my argument how it is given, very much so if you are gunna quote it because otherwise you look silly.

At least people actually fail at trying most of the time. During that event they may as well not even be trying to play. After I finished the event I shut the game down and only played with a 4 man SWF. Killer was brain dead easy because no survivors were doing gens and survivor was frustrating when your team mates aren't even trying.
LOL, I just stopped caring about your opinion after you tried to argue 4 man SWF is harder then killers and not only that but stated Killer is easy.

This is my personal feedback on a feedback forum. You may think it's a non reason but it's enough for me to go play something else when it happens consistently. I'm sure you'll say "good riddance we don't need you" which is fine but it really is easy to fix.
Clearly not, because it seems you just want easy games.
This is PVP not PVE.
If you don't want to constantly strive to get better at the game then you aren't playing the right game.
New killer do quit because of not understanding the game mechanics as well, never said that was not the case. In this point, I am just showing that you are complaining about something that is not an issue and making claims with no evidence all the while dcing from games as if that is not unfair to the survs.

After a half year I decided to have a look into the game (Ofc by watching some streams or videos and watching my good old friend @NullSp3c play through screenshare). I've seen various improvements but also some stebs backwards. I am interested to hear some other opinions and views. Without involving any feelings what happened with me and the game I'd say I am dissapointed.
What do you guys think how the game evolved the past half year (From Oni chapter until now)?
It went from litterally broken game, to a broken game, to a slightly balanced game but still broken, to broken again, to a high point of balance that was still not balanced, to a reloop of this like 8 times, to somewhat balanced but mostly not which is what we have today.

People who actually wanted to play the game were miserable because people hunting cankers were throwing the match, especially so if they suicided after all the plants were gone (and a lot of people did)
People who wanted to just farm plants were miserable because only the survivor who farmed the plant got any BP and you had to compete with other survivors. If you were the first survivor chased you were basically guaranteed to get no plants.
Not to mention lots of people played killers like hag or trappers and just tried to deny other people from getting plants.
It was honestly worse than the current event. Yeah the current event is boring, but at least it doesn't actively degrade the game in anyway.
You are funny, acting like people don't still throw the match for any one subjective reason.

I spent a lot of today watching different Fog Whisperers trying to get a Dwightcrow code and finally got one! Here are my tips for getting one for yourself:
- Work your way down the Fog Whisper list to find a smaller streamer that has less competition. I know you might love Otz, but his chat is massive and the odds aren't in your favor. Link: https://deadbydaylight.com/en/news/fog-whisperers-program-2020
- Actually watch the streamer long enough to learn their methods for giving out codes. They usually only give out a couple per hour. Streamers that give out a portion of the code and give people time to type before giving the last few digits are the most fair if you're not a speed typist or are on console.
- Have your game shop open and ready to redeem the second the streamer gives out the code. Time is of the essence. Console players and PC players without duel monitors should probably be watching the stream on their phone or laptop for multitasking purposes.
- The odds will get better as the event goes on. If you think you're at a disadvantage, you might wanna check streams at odd times when less people are watching or wait until next week when the hype has died down a bit. Everyone that's dedicated enough should get the charm eventually it just sucks that the beginning of the event is so bottle-necked because everyone is rushing for it.
Or you can just stop, and stop supporting this so they don't decide to do more bs things like this.
-
?
You just got matched vs rank 1.
rank is irrelevant.

As a nurse main I can safely say she's in desperate need for changes. Her base kit is mostly fine but her addons are horrendous and I think they need to be changed.
However, her main issue is her bugs and glitches on certain maps. Here's a list of issues I've had with nurse in the past week.
1. Blinking into the basement while I'm looking straight up.
2. Blinking in place when trying to blink through the snow piles on ormond.
3. Can't blink up to onto one of the upstairs platforms on desert map.
4. It's literally impossible to blink up to the second floor on Hawkins...you have to walk.
5. The deck on the swamp is also impossible to blink on. There's some sort of invisible barrier preventing her from blinking up there.
6. If you try to blink down a narrow hallway, you blink in place.
There's more but I think you get the point. The reality is that the dev's are ignoring nurse players, and we've been begging them to make her less broken for a long time. They're too scared to buff her out of fear of making her too strong.
I can live without addon changes but the bugs need to be fixed. Please stop ignoring nurse players and at least make an attempt to make her playable.
You are funny thinking they would fix nurse, that's like asking them to stop making any one bs "mistake" over and over again, but they won't because they aren't mistakes they are just choices and damage control.

No, I'm a programmer as well as a designer, and sometimes I switch into programmer mode. I was referring to rebuilding the implementation. That was my fault, sorry about that.
Why are you going back on it? Don't go back on it you literally said "Any changes to its function will be for design reasons, not due to implementation details." after saying "The intention was not to say we're changing it function entirely".
I mean not to say that I think most will believe you even if I grant you on going back on this, we are talking about buff/nerf to one of the most fundamental survivor perks.
I want to say its safe to say Dead Hard won't get a buff, so the changes likely aren't a buff (unless you guys don't even pay attention to the perks that are commonly used, much like the perks that are broken but aren't commonly used such as Object Of Obsession which I will add NEEDS changes as its only used as a perk to bully).
So the only other possible outcome would be a nerf, but that's just as unlikely with your guys track record on balancing but not only that but I don't see it to common someone complaining about Dead Hard, not to say its not unfair, its just not everyone's concern at the moment with the firestorm you guys have created as of late.
So logically there likely won't be any real chance to the perk taking everything previous into account so by its nature saying something like "rebuilding it from the ground up." is misleading.
You just admitted that you do both programming as well as design to I don't understand how this could be a misunderstanding that is so drastic as that would require a significant amount of lack of thinking before stating something, in either case then however ok then.

Yes all exhaustion perks are. This one is what you would call a chase extender, allows you to get close to the killer, proc it, and then run to a loop in a comfortable position that you can decide now that you are much faster then the killer for a good amount of time.

Sadly you just demonstrated you have no clue what you are talking about.

This has been an issue period.
Most everyone wants them to remove the struggle state input spam because its annoying as hell but if im correct the devs won't remove it because they "want the players to feel inclusive", considering everything I would guess that means "we want survs to have the ability to basically dc early without penalty, at the same time annoying anyone who doesn't want to spam an input."

The intention was not to say we're changing it function entirely. Any changes to its function will be for design reasons, not due to implementation details.

Well survivors disarm his traps too darn fast. If they had to hit like 2 skill checks it would be slightly longer, and that would be just the right buff for him.
Oh they do, its just there should me consequences for the disarm.
Such as:
-Traps no longer wound
-When disarming a trap, the survivor accidently cuts themselves inuring themselves
-Traps can not longer be wiggled out, and must have a survivor to get you out of traps
-Iridescent add on "Bloody Coil" are changed to "Traps can no longer be sabotaged"
-The trapper starts with two traps
-1 trap less appears in the trail
There, easy fix that doesn't make him useless and doesn't make him op.

Freddy is literally the most broken annoying character to play against and theres virtually no downside to any of his powers. I lose respect for people when they tell me they play freddy. Hes up there with spirit in terms of frustration for me. If someone could explain how a no terror radius, teleporting, anti loop killer with a lunge the size of a football field is balanced id be happy to listen.
This entire thread is a joke. Firstly powers shouldn't have downsides, afterall they are POWERS.
Secondly there is alot of counterplay to him, only thing that needs to be changed is when survs are asleep BT doesn't proc.
Since you are happy to listen why you are wrong, I will demonstrate.
Firstly his TP ability only works on gens, has a cool down, is 1/2 of his ability, and when it procs all survivors around or paying attention to the gen are notified.
Secondly, stop lying or talking about things you don't know what you are talking about as he has a terror radious regardless if you are asleep or not. The only thing is you can't discern where it is coming from if you are asleep, not that that really matters however.
He has a normal lunge as well, so more lying or not knowing what you are talking about. in fact only two killers in the game that I can think of have different lunges then all other killers, being Myers and Nurse.
Its simple, if Freddy places his traps on the floor and you are asleep then move from loop to loop instead of staying at the same loop, if done correctly he will likely be resetting his own traps, and sometimes you can still run thought the trap and be safe anyways depending how he places them in a loop.
If he instead of using Stare traps uses fake pallets, then you play him like any other M1 killer only difference is paying attention to what pallets have been used.

I’ve had a rank 2 Billy and a rank 2 Trapper both do it tonight. If you’re hooked in a dead zone, there’s literally nothing you can do.
You shouldn’t have to use a perk to stop your first hook from being your last. 🙃
Or just get good at the game and give them a reason not to tunnel you IE looping them most entirely the game, as they aren't stopping gens if they are going after you the entire game.
Honestly basically you are the only one playing the game if you are tunneled, unless you prefer to just hold M1 and press space for the occasional skill check on gens.

The title says it all. I understand the idea behind it was to boost traffic for the fog whisperers, ok. But I'll tell you this:
I am on PS4. and I have attempted at least 8 different code redemptions and I couldn't get ONE. Keep in mind that apparently each "code" is good for at least 10 people. PC players can literally copy and paste and because they have keyboards they can just type and redeem them while on stream instantly. Some fog whisperers were kind enough to leave out some code letters at the end to even give console players an OPPORTUNITY to even redeem it, and even when I did that and had the code ready, the moment i redeem it less than a second, IT'S INVALID. How is that even possible!?!!? Some of these codes must broken and it's just a slap in the face to console players because we can't even keep up. I went to two different fog whisperer streams and because I'm stupid enough I'm going to another stream tonight but that's besides the point. Plus i thought we were moving away from exclusivity now since there's cross-play and we're all supposed to be in the same boat but we can't even be treated as such. Also this "halloween event" not featuring an in-game currency to even earn any blight skins like last year is also terrible and predatory but the event issues are for another discussion.
BHVR you should make these charms available for everyone, I guarantee you the SAME problem will happen for the Twitch Rivals stream on halloween. If you want to do a form of Timed Exclusivity then maybe just do it for the Rift like you currently are and find or create more unique ways to reward players who actually grind and play your game, and that's all on platforms! Maybe have separate codes that are unique to consoles, i don't know. But this honestly terrible. Over a charm nonetheless. I put up with all of this bs and the game on consoles is already enough of a nightmare performance wise. So please BHVR hear me out with this, I am not the only once who feels this way.
Incorrect, its a slap in the face to ALL players.
This is anti-consumer, so if you don't like it don't support it. (Not implying you do)

Ok so I've been really keen for these changes since the first day they were announced. Both the bait cooldown and the decreased cooldown on missed attacks basically rewards better pyramid head players and means that people who relied on his bait will actually have to get good at him now. Although many people have hated on the changes, I feel as if they've done a good job at actually making him better to vs and to play.
Now I've been playing pyramid head non-stop since yesterday and i've done multiple kyf's with good survivors to see how it plays out at high level. Here's what i've noticed:
Pallets are alot safer to play at now as survivors. There's no longer a loose loose situation at these as you can dodge the attacks and wait for the pyramid head to pull his sword out, which due to the cooldown, gives you enough time to then run back through and pull the pallet down. Now the killer actually has to aim their attack and hit you with that rather than just instantly m1.
Many people have complained that he can now mindlessly spam his power, but I disagree with this. There's still quite a decent penalty for missing an attack and 2.25 seconds is more than enough time to run away and punish the killer as survivor. The only situation where you can't run away is when you are at a corner loop, however even before the change he could still spam his power in corner situations.
As well as riskier shots being better to go for now, you can still bait his sword. The difference is however that the killer needs to predetermine the bait as it only works if you don't fully put your sword in the ground, meaning that it plays out a bit more like a demo or huntress bait.
Personally i find this change to be amazing because playing him and vsing him is a far more enjoyable experience now. His balance seems alot more similar to that of demo or huntress rather than deathslinger and I think despite all the bad feedback, that it's actually a good change. Although obviously this is only day 2 and opinions could change very easily. Interested to hear whether others think he's better now or not.
Never thought he was not balanced, they didn't really change anything they just made his ability faster and gave him a weird swish if you don't let his ability bar fill.
Only major nerf was the one seconds slow down out of ability, that hurts.

Freddy is an amazing killer right now all thanks to his new rework (proof the devs are capable of good changes to the game).
People tend to complain about him due to these recurring points:
- His lunge is broken
- He has little to no counter play and is too strong with snares
- He takes no skill to play
- His gen regression capabilities are too strong
"His lunge is broken" The reason his lunge seems broken is because of his smaller weapon and killer model size. It is the same lunge as every other killer.
"He has no counter play and is too strong with snares." There is counter play, and would include you making sure you stay awake as much as possible because that is when you suffer from his effects. If you are asleep and in a chase with a snare-using Freddy drop a pallet early to avoid the m2 spam.
"He takes no skill to play" Yes he does, spamming m2 doesn't immediately win the game for him because if a survivor is awake he has to chase like a normal m1 killer with no power. Freddy players have to know for sure when to commit their teleport and constantly use it to fake a teleport. Even then, it still takes quite a bit of skill to play killer especially at higher ranks.
"His gen regression capabilities are too strong" Are they really? If you work together with your team (who is hopefully cooperative enough to wake everyone up) to stay awake then you should not be affected by most of his gen regression penalties. The real gen regression ability is the dream projection (the teleport) combined with pop, that can be annoying but even then that can be worked around by simply working on multiple generators.
What do you think, do you think that Freddy is in a great spot or is "OP PLZ NERF"?
Freddy is not op, only thing they should chance is when survs are sleep BT doesn't work as that is sorta broken.
Thats the ONLY thing that should be chanced, he is fine otherwise.

As a rank 1 killer main I must declare that DH is not really an issue and can almost always be countered. It also doesn't bother me because it's the only skill-based exhaustion perk.
My question is why are they changing DH when OoO is still a thing that exists?
Kill it. Kill it with fire.
Rank means nothing, can't counter dead hard if its used properly IE to chain window vaults to pallets.

Who else just quit playing dbd and just gets on the forums instead? Play the game isn't fun anymore and discussing it is more interesting.
Odd how that works huh?
I suppose making your entire player base upset universally does that tho huh?

They aren't going into specifics besides that these changes will be in 3-6 months. WAIT, they said they are changing the perk ENTIRELY from the ground up, because of dedicated servers.
Yhea what the other two have said makes sense, it prolly won't be a nerf or a buff just something to make it more consistent.
I mean come on guys, these devs would never hit the survs meta perks, after all the event is more surv sided.

I saw recently that he has a lower killrate than most killers but i feel like hes basically just like nurse, not playable on console really difficult to play but also extremely strong.
I wouldnt say hes as strong as nurse but def high A tier for me.
My person favorite build on him is enduring, spirit fury, bbq(duh), and infectous fright. Just keep downing and downing people getting hooks really quick while exerting so so much pressure ending the game with barely any gens done.
What I thought about him from the start, he is a worse spirit.
Spirit and him lose sight of surv, to then guess where surv is and hit them.
Only difference is spirit is much easier to control, and doesn't force you to rebound off stuff losing sight in the process.

We just got confirmation that object of obsession is not going to be nerfed. if this doesn't show that the devs don't actually understand how their game works, I don't know what does. Just because a perk has a low pick rate doesn't mean its bad. Object is not fair because it gives the team free information when used with a SWF team. The reason why it has a low pick rate is because only 1 person needs to run it in order for it to be effective. These devs seriously need to take a look at how their game plays, I feel like they're all fools at this point. (except for Mathieu, he's cool)
OoO is like on of the only perks that it seriously unfair tho...

It was confirmed in the dev Q&A that dead hard is getting changed at 36:57.
Hopefully this perk will be made more fair and fun to play against than it is now.
Other perks include: Iron maiden, fixated, lucky break, gearhead, and blood echo.
How are they changing it, I would not of thought this a perk that needed change although I suppose it makes sense that people complain about it?

You can already counter it by baiting it and being more patient. They did imply that it was gonna be changed to work better with Dedicated Servers, so likely less to be exhausted on the ground.
Not if its used properly, IE to chain to window vaults and pallets.

I came back to DBD after a break and I've been tunneled to death in every game I've played, so far. I was excited to do the the new archive but I think I'm ready for another break after two days worth of being tunneled. I don't think there is a solution. I think the event is inspiring people to get as many points as possible and tunneling is an easy way to accomplish that. Half of the time when someone unhooks me, if anyone unhooks me, at all, it almost feels like they're working with the killer. I'm tired of being in the middle of everyones greedy point grabs in this game. It seems like this game is really fun for about 1-2 years and then you get stuck playing with the same tunnelers over and over and it gets really old really quick. Maybe I should just play killer and tunnel everyone too and then it might be more fun somehow? At least I wouldnt be wasting anniversary cakes bc nobody can tunnel the killer. I just don't think that seems like fun though. What does everyone else do when they get tunneled, seemingly no matter what, every game?
If you are getting tunneled then ask yourself why and take them on a chase, if they keep following you they aren't doing gens.
Then if you lose them don't do what made them tunnel you unless you have to.

That isn't a reason to give up, we as a player base have made them change things through our words and actions if we stand up for ourselves then we can change things ((Hopefully))
Nope, they don't care about words, they care about wallets as they just demonstrated time and time again.
Also I don't get a notification if you don't @ me or quote me.

You may need to work on your trap placement, or you might be being watched while you set up traps. If survivors see you setting traps from hiding they'll always disarm them.
I run Whispers almost every Trapper match. If Whispers is off, you're safe to set up. If it's on, be wary of being watched.
Also make sure that your placement is good. I'm sure you know, but tall grass is always ideal. Survivors know to check pallets, doors, and windows for traps. If you're placing traps in obvious spots they're going to find them. Try to place your traps in bushes/grass where survivors run when looping pallets, not at the pallets themselves.
Nah vs any good surv team, they will disassemble his power and make trapper become a M1 unless you only use his traps in case.
Even to that degree however, he still is able to be counter played by just running away while he is setting the trap.
