Ah, Yes. Complain about something that's existed on the internet for years and will never disappear. Let us hold hands over the Circle jerk camp fire.
Please support the bully hunters.
I know what you are talking about with the "Bully Hunters".
Here's the thing. There's something in real life that should also apply to games.
It's called Common Human Decency.
-
Welcome back!
I have a theory why the devs nerfed Legion this patch. It's because you weren't around.

How much of a snowflake are you that you can't ignore text sent by strangers online did those virtual Tbags hurt your self-esteem so hard you can't function as a human being?
Oh man MW 2 lobbies would break your soul back then if this is your limit.
Say GG and leave problem solved. Private your profile comments.
I understand what you're saying, but you don't need to be rude about it.
After all it's just a game.

"Looping is unsportsmanlike"
But in all seriousness, the game has changed from a hide and seek. Perks and killers now mainly base around the chase and map pressure. Looping isn't unsportsmanlike. If anything, hiding and walking around is much more detrimental to your team.
-
It has to be Freddy "Claw Boi" Krueger.
I've loved him even before his rework that buffed him into A or S tier. His whole design is why I love the Nightmare in Elm Street movies in the first place. I also love how he plays with his victims. Something I am happy to say I could do in Dead by Daylight.
-
I do agree that some people who go out of their way to insult you for playing a game is sick in the head in more ways than one.
But sadly there's not much you can do except report those players to the devs, hopefully you can still enjoy the game despite that because I do know some amazing people in this community.
-
Can't say I would like playing Last Year, not being able to choose playing as the Killer was what put me off the game last time.

Yeah, it is easy and annoying however I feel it should still remain manual, I'd rather do it and get the feeling im still actually playing the game rather than sitting there watching, whilst doing nothing.
I'd rather it be automated or just holding a single button.
Holding down spacebar is less painful than smashing it to bits. My friends hate it whenever I play with them and I struggle because my keyboard is not quiet in the slightest.
-
I think this guy is the one who doesn't know anything about the game.
It doesn't matter if you're Rank 1 or 20, rank doesn't mean #########.
What matters is your skill and given Billy is not your main and you still got a 2k, I'd say you're pretty good.
-
@altruistic said:
I love this double standard mental gymnastics people go through.
We want to balance the game around the top tier SWF Navy S.E.A.L squads, but when it comes to Killer we need to balance it around people drooling over their keyboard.
According to the RED RANK Killers stats, every Killer is performing above expectations.
Because ranking up as killer is way harder than ranking up as survivors.
You can play half asleep most of your games and still get up to Rank 1. It's why rank means nothing, it's only a vague understanding of skill. But just because killers are performing better than average is not the be all end all of the discussion. Yes we see they are performing better than average but why exactly are they performing better than average?
Compared to some of the most coordinated SWF groups in the game, even a Spirit can struggle to get even a single kill. Balance should be based around the best players in the playerbase, not just based around a single rank. Which, again, as a reminder, in this game rank means nothing.
There's no incentive to stay in high ranks nor is it hard to get there in the first place. While it is harder for killers to rank up, both killer and survivor have an easy time pipping if they both played fairly well in a match. Even if you "lose" by the game's standards (Dying/Not getting majority of kills).
So people in high ranks may be full of potatoes and people in low ranks may be full of depip squads on both sides. We can't know for sure. That's why the stats shouldn't be the only thing to be put into consideration when balancing the game.
-
Oh #########, I'm worried these stats might give them a justification to nerf him. Freddy is balanced how he is right now. I'm really really afraid right now.
-
I would cry if he got nerfed.
-
The three safest and three deadliest is not a surprise to anyone whose played both sides very very often.
-
I thought you meant a thumbs up feature in the forums.
I think I am in favour of this idea, it would promote more fair and fun plays rather than promoting a more toxic playstyle.
-
No problem.
-
Go to your profile (click your name on the upper right) then look for the "Change Picture" button on the right side of the page.
-
If I can escape with three people hooked during the endgame, of course I'll escape.
-
No, I'm not an imgflip link.
-
Wow! This will be very useful. Thanks for making it, looks really well made!
-
If they aim to get a Rift Tier everyday for the entire time the Rift is open without spending any money. Then maybe.

Logically. ANY popular topic will always turn out the same; the same arguments over and over. This isnt just DbD, or this forum board. Its life. When a big divisive topic appears (a certain electoral candidate, social movement, cats vs dogs, etc), humans will want to discuss the same thing over and over again, with the same points in favour and against.
Of course it is, but when something is discussed to the point where it's becoming ad nauseum it stops being a discussion. Just white noise.
I know I am not the only one sick of hearing about Spirit Nerfs or that Spirit is fine. I know we can't trust BHVR completely to not ######### up the changes they are inevitably going to do with Spirit.
But I also know that just discussing the same point over and over won't change that. So what's the point? At this point it is, like I said, mindless bickering.
-
@PigNRun said:
I know that whatever we say doesnt matter. However, just accepting changes blindly isnt something you should do. This change is coming from the very Devs that butchered Legion without proper buffs (still waiting...), created old MoM, nerfed old Freddy, made it so that getting blinded or stunned at any point during pick-up would force Survivors to be dropped, and several other examples.
They have said they have learned, and they definitely have. But what is stopping them from making more mistakes? We are all humans after all. Some people consider this another mistake, others not. I see nothing wrong with such discussions. Sure, namecalling and heated arguments are bad, but as long as it doesnt reach that point, why is it so bad?
I don't disagree with you but at the moment a lot of the Spirit Threads are just the same thing, bonus points if ScottJund joins the conversation.
That isn't really constructive, that's just mindless bickering.
-
To be perfectly honest, I am right there with you. It just feels like this forum has gotten much more toxic than it already is thanks to this spirited debate.
It's gotten to the point where I can't really say I am comfortable posting on this forum for a while.
-
Any reason for Survivors to gain more BP I will support.

Clown and huntress have same power but clown has 6? Pinky finger too op. Nerf clown next
Clown requires you to be precise with the bottle hits and hit the survivor in the short time frame they are intoxicated.
Huntress can one down you from across the map. How is that the same?
-
I wouldnt mind. I love the lore and mystery surrounding the Entity and her realms. Would love to know more.

And hitting your hatchets against a good survivor is no requirement?
You already do that regardless of Iri Heads or not.
-
@FriendlyGuy said:
Iri heads are fine. No nees to jump on Huntress next.
I mean Legion - Pig - Pig - Nurse - Pig - Spirit - Huntress - Freddy - Plague - ...
Where's the end? All killer powers and addons useless? They are supposed to have heavy impact.
Look, I play Killer a lot. I know how to play pretty much all of them. And the only times I've used Iri Heads is when I want to try for Adept Huntress. Mainly because Iri Heads makes things that much more easier.
Instadowns and Instakills for killers needs to have heavy caviats. Ending a chase or game that early should require you to work for it.
-
I agree, Killer Instadowns or Instakills require a heavy caviat in order to use them.
Michael's Judith Myers' Tombstone makes him slower.
Clown's Pink Finger requires him to be really precise with his aim, and even then he needs to be close to hit the survivor immediately right after.
Billy and Leatherface's Chainsaw require the chainsaw to connect with the survivor first. With Billy requiring precise movement and Leatherface requiring the survivor to be out in the open.
Ghostface's Mark requires him to stalk a survivor for a period of time that requires the survivor not paying attention.
But Huntress? She just uses it like how she normally uses her hatchets. The fact that she can have 3 of them at the same time is bonkers to me.
-
Give me the damn coat! I will pay thousands of Auric cells for it!
-
In my opinion Hawkins/Lery's are some of the most well designed maps. As a Survivor you need to learn the map's layout to play optimally, as a Killer you have the element of surprise. Which in my opinion is what should a map be in this game.
-
I've played using Amanda's Letter the other day, it's so much fun. Wish the aura reading is larger. Even with removing the RBTs.
-
Ask @Fibijean because apparently booping The Pig's snoot gives you a free hatch escape.

Also it's a damn shame how they made most of the add ons meh
Yeah I don't find myself using the Dress Addons because they're very meh. Also, Black Box is a meme Ultra Rare addon with how weak it is.
-
It was. I loved OG Freddy. It was one of the reasons I had trouble liking Rework Freddy because OG Freddy was just a fun killer in general.
Sure he was the worst and sucked, but if you could get 4k with him without addons then you felt proud of yourself for accomplishing it.
God, I honestly wish they didn't rework him sometimes.
-
I wish they took the time to give us monthly updates. Just so the community can stop pecking at each other like vultures trying to prove everyone they're right.

Forever Freddy is using slow down add ons with slow down perks. While in dream state you can slow progress of gen repair. PGTW makes it take longer after you kick the gen. That is a Forever Freddy build that you just ran because you’re slowing gen progression with your addons
While in the dream state
If you're not asleep then my addons are useless. And PGTW only works if I get hooks. In which case I'm already trying to snowball the survivor team away from victory, and the PGTW pop is my reward for playing well.
My build promotes me to play well, not to slow down generators. If I can keep people in the dream world, that means generators won't be finished as long as they stay there. If they go out, I need to put them back in and so on.
Are you seriously trying to argue my build is anything like a Forever Freddy build? A build that makes the game just completely slow down to a crawl?

So basicly you want her to be like legion with no power at all? I mean literally every other 115% killer gives you that. Yes make all killers that. Such skilled survivors people are.
Of course I don't want that. I love going against her. I don't want her to be completely gutted or nerfed. But I also want her to give some indication to the survivors whether or not she is using her power or whether or not she is nearby.
-
Object of Obsession and a Fully Optimal SWF/Killer.
At that point I just stop trying, go AFK and wait for my next match.

I wouldn't say the exact same information. It could make her too weak.
I guess that is true.
But survivors does need something to tell them where she is, at least the general area of where she is.
At the very least, they should hear her glass breaking sound effect. Like how we can hear Nurse's blinks.
-
All I want is for survivors to have the exact same information she has.
Footsteps, breathing, grass moving, phase noise being directional (except maybe inside her Terror Radius). All of this.
Would make her easier to counter and learn.
-
I think she's a fun killer to go up against, we need more killers whose main power completely changes how survivors should approach and counter her.

How many games did you play..?

No killer moves any grass. Adding that may be a problem for the devs.
Also, there are entire levels without any grass. The survivors would be in the same condition they are now on those levels. It would not address her power.
Spind is different for targeting than avoiding. She is targeting a survivor and just needs to turn toward sound. A quick sound is enough to identity what direction Spirit needs to go. In order for you to avoid something by sound, you need one sound for an initial direction, then another a small amount of time later for knowing what direction they are going in (to shift your direction). By that time, you are already targeted.
If you know the general area of where she is, it would allow you to confidently pull off some tricks to mess up with her tracking.
I've had moments where I ran into a building, crouched behind the frame and walked right outside the moment the Spirit comes out of phase.
I could've been out sooner if I knew she had entered the building and escape her without her knowing where the hell I went to.
-
It would be nice if the last 10 games are recorded in the Dead by Daylight folder as flv files. Should also be great for saving and keeping your favourite moments in DBD.

1) Her animation resets and her glass shards start glowing
2) Her footsteps have been made louder with the last update
3) Given the above, you predictions will be mostly accurate, provided that you pay attention to her
1) Even if it did, you won't notice it especially during a chase. Which is what's most important. Even the most observant player won't notice her animation resets. And her glass shards don't glow as much as they should, if they even do that.
2) I have seen a couple of Spirits ingame as a survivor, I can safely say her footsteps are not that much louder. Not enough for you to tell where she is.

That is why the scratches can be delayed a bit for appearance. Survivors would not be able to tell around very short loops.
Scratches are also so broad that you could not tell where she was.
imagine forcing a window vault as spirit by starting phasing, moving a meter to the right to clause scratches to appear and panic the survivor, then doubling back and waiting for the vault. That would be a new mind game.
It would, and I will admit it sounds interesting. But I still think Survivors should react to what Spirit reacts with. Their noise.
I say if Survivors moves grass and she can see that, survivors should also be able to see her move grass.
If she has to track by noise, so does survivors. That's basically the gist of my argument on how to nerf her without absolutely gutting her. It's both predictive and reactive.
