You can't undo it but don't worry nothing will happen.

In game reports don't do anything on their own. You need to submit a ticket with video or photo evidence before they'll take any action against someone.

You're good. If they took every in game report seriously we'd all be banned haha.

Thank you. I just thought that maybe they reviewed gameplay footage or something if they got a report. I usually only give thumbs up though.

How would you know, if that's their motivation? It could be they just want to win. Just like survivors that run BNPs. They don't do it out of spite but because it's something that allows them to win more games. Camping someone out of the game will get you the upper hand, if done properly. The player that gets camped will go out of the game with very few BP but that is more like collateral damage and not the innitial goal. So I wouldn't call camping spite. The same goes for tunneling and slugging.

Of course, players can play in whatever way they want as long as they don't break the game's rules. However, taking the game so serious that it has you spiteful is not a good sign. Which is why I suggested for op to go outside for a bit. Most of us have probably had days when we hated our opponents but at the end of the day it is important to remember that this is just a game and getting so upset over it isn't worth it.

Dude…. Bringing a BNP will give you 25% progress on the gen if done correctly and you can still be chased off the gen and have it regress. Even if survivors still had the old BNP it’s not the same for many reasons, and I’m sure you know that.

I tried playing on ps4 and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Went right back to pc dbd.

I don’t have a good PC for gaming. Wish I had a PS5… but I wouldn’t be able to transfer my progress anyway 😑

    This!

A fair and challenging match, with interactive survivors is the best killer experience. Not those who play super immersed and genrushes you into oblivion. Also, flashlight squads are the worst (good thing Lightborn exists).

Now as someone who plays both sides equally, a fair game without tunneling or getting proxied is also very welcome, as well as seeing other killers aside from Wesker, Blight, Huntress and Nurse 95% of the time

For me, it’s Ghost Face. I love him but half of my survivor matches are against him and I’d like to see some variety. Of course, you can’t decide who others play but it can get old.

This game will never look the way Bioshock Infinite does. Like DBD looks bad on pc cause it genuinely just isn't a visually stunning game most of the time. Which I am unsure if that is down to an engine and render issue or a design issue. Though, I will say that with the issues DBD has on consoles I don't think the game could handle higher fidelity textures and not be a stop motion puppet play on console.

Lol well yeah I get that but I feel like it should be consistent across platforms. I don’t expect it to look like BioShock but if the switch is capable of handling that game then it should at least look like what it does on PS. Have you played on Switch? I was genuinely shocked when I first started lol. My characters are so pretty l just wanna admire them in better detail 😭

It was written and directed by Salva

He also did the sequels of which there are two. He wrote and directed both of those as well, but there is a reboot that he isn't attached to at all and as of last may that film was held up in court due to a lawsuit over the rights. it apparently got released in September of last year, but the court case seems to still being going ahead it seems. The suit involves Myriad Pictures and Infinity Films Holdings as Myriad says that the movie was made without knowledge or consent on top of being sold to their competitor Screen Media Films.

So, it's a giant mess that no matter how anyone wants to slice it should stay far far away from DBD.

Thank you for clearing that up. I remember watching the first two movies when I was like 11-12 and never bothered with the third upon learning about the director so I never really read into them any further.

  • I got Adrenaline, Open-Handed, Autodidact, and Decisive Strike. None of them were bad but just didn’t work out for me. Adrenaline is great but is situational and both times my DS was activated it ran out before I ran into the killer again. The other two I didn’t really get value from either since I didn’t have any aura reading perks. Maybe it helped my teammates though?

  • The McDonalds dude? Yeah they’d never allow that 😂

  • I was sad I only got to do it once on survivor. I didn’t get the best build, but I would love to do it again.

  • You mean the July one? Because June’s was Jane’s vacation outfit and is over already.

  • I didn’t start playing killer until after I had gotten a good handle on survivor, but when I did I kept thinking I was going up against SWF teams because I was getting roasted and all I kept reading was how SWF teams are unbeatable. I realized, however, no I wasn’t getting matched constantly with SWF teams - I was just playing badly. Everything takes time to learn and do well - and a lot of killers will take even more time but are definitely worth it. No matter which side I’m playing I know I am still learning better ways to play and I wish others would accept that as well. Are there some things in this game I think are OP or lean too far on the scale? Yes, but anytime anyone has an issue with something they complain and say it needs to be nerfed. There are so many ways to play this game especially from the killer perspective so I recommend trying to build counters and learn how others play. It makes things so much more fun. Heck, before I touched killer I was thinking everything was OP on the killer side but, no, it’s not. You just gotta learn and gain perspective.

  • I mean, I feel you, but you have to remember there are a lot of good people in this game too. When I first started playing I came very close to quitting because of how some people played/behaved - I felt like I had no chance of improving and it just wasn’t fun. But I’m glad I stuck with it. For every horrible match I’ve had or every toxic player I’ve also had a great one or interacted with some great players and had a lot of fun both survivors and killers. I’m not one of those people that sweats to win - I’m gonna do the best I can no matter what but if I don’t get a single kill or I don’t make it out of the trial I’m not considering myself at a loss if I tried, did my best, and had fun. That doesn’t mean I don’t get flustered with when things don’t go my way sometimes - we are all human - and it doesn’t mean that I don’t sometimes sweat (like when I’m so close to finishing that last gen and that terror radius starts up!) but what’s most important is that I view things from a positive note - did I play a good game? Did I help my teammates? Did I give the survivors a fair match? Seeing survivors escape into the exit doesn’t bother me… dying on the hook doesn’t bother me… they’re part of the game… I’d be lying if I said some other peoples behaviors don’t bother me…. But the moments I reflect on are the positive ones even if they are rarer. I hope you can get more of those positive matches too. It’s like in the real world I can’t ignore all the hate and toxicity I have to address it, but I also can’t let it consume me lest I become a miserable person just like them.

  • Congrats!

  • I just want them to make the Switch graphics better so I can actually admire my cosmetics. If I can play BioShock Infinite beautifully on my Switch there’s no reason DBD should look like I’m playing it on a 90s console. It might help too if they would update their codes: simply putting three pieces together to create one character can make it hard to design and limits their customization.

  • Jason is the only literally iconic horror movie killer yet to be added (of course, icon status is purely subjective.) I don’t know anything about the legal disputes so if anyone can fill me in?

They could add Xenomorph or Predator but I honestly feel like they already took inspiration from those for the last two chapters so I don’t know…

Chucky is pretty iconic, but he seems like he’d be hard to incorporate into the game…

There are a lot of killers I’d like to see whether “iconic” or not: Norman Bates (Psycho), the Scissorman (Clock Tower), the Xenomorph (Alien), the Candyman, Count Orlok (Nosferatu), Lipstick Face Demon (Insidious), Jerry Dandridge (Fright Night), Jack Torrance (The Shining), Mater Suspirorium (Suspiria), The Pale Man (Pan’s Labyrinth), Mr. Chuckleteeth (The X-Files renewal), Pious Augustus (Eternal Darkness), and, yeah, Jason Voorhees.

Survivors I’d like to see whether stand-alone or packaged with the aforementioned killers: Jennifer Simpson (Clock Tower), Alex Roivas (Eternal Darkness), Alan Wake, Brigette Fitzgerald (Ginger Snaps), and Sidney Prescott (even though DBD’s Ghost Face is an original killer I’d still love to see Sidney join the fun.) If they add Jason I’d actually like it if they added Chad Kensington from the game but I know that’s unlikely. Also, if they gave Quentin a Nancy Thompson skin I’d die.

I don’t want Art the Clown or Pennywise… or the Leprechaun. I wouldn’t mind classic horror characters like The Wolfman or the Phantom. I’m not sure what I think about FNaF…?

  • There aren’t many killers I dislike going against and while I can understand why some hate facing Deathslinger (the only other person I play this game with outside of strangers is my niece and she HATES him) I really dont mind. Though he has a good power for tunneling I think I’ve only ever seen one Deathslinger actually do that (of course, my experience isnt everyone else’s.) I like his music, I think he’s an interesting killer, and he definitely provides a different experience. Personally, I’m not a Huntress fan, but to each their own.

  • He’s definitely good, no one can argue against that. His biggest advantage is that you really can’t escape from him unless you stay in a jungle gym or loop until he gets bored or eventually gets you. If you’re anywhere other than a great loop he’s gonna get the hit.

  • I booped it today but only after I found out she was friendly during endgame. I don’t wanna offend other players.

  • Correct me if I’m wrong but do the character rights actually belong to the director? I thought I remembered once reading that he was just chosen to direct it - not that he actually created it.

  • Add a bonus speed tier at maybe like an extra 5/10/15% nothing too over the top.

Reduce the cooldown period and make it so it only triggers upon a successful sabotage.

Maybe give it a buff to where the sabotaged hook stays for an extra x amount of time depending on the tier?

Maybe grant a 1/2/3% haste within a certain range of the killer similar to Breakout, or reveal the killer aura?

Not all of these things as that’d be too much but some ideas anyway.

  • I had no issue with it. It just showed “hidden” icons in my load out. I hope you can get it to work and get the cosmetics. If they don’t provide a fix they should give the cosmetics out for free so people don’t miss out unfairly.

There is a difference between aggression and writing the same thing you did in other words. You don't run BP offerings out of spite. Because you take offense in something your opponent does in a video game. Which means you take the game more serious than is good for you (or anyone else for that matter).

Go outside for a bit. Relax. Touch some grass and enjoy the warm sun on your skin. You'll feel a lot better.

If killer players are doing things to make other players get as little bp as possible you don’t call that spite? These offerings are meant to benefit everyone and be a sign of good will but some people do the exact opposite and try to be as nasty as possible. That doesn’t mean killers can’t kill but if they try to tunnel someone out, facecamp, and do as much as possible so others can’t participate or get points they’re just there to make other people miserable and they deserve whatever spite is given them. Still, it sucks because not playing any at all means good players won’t benefit but ppl are welcome to play whatever offerings they want.

  • @Exerlin said:

Just play a different game if you're so upset

Yea but if the survivors aren't all downed or the last survivor is in chase then it should not take very long to get back up, and if the killer has downed you a huge amount of times then yeah you should've probably had enough time by then to get a good amount of points if they were not camping your slugged body (which I can't see why they would outside of waiting for rancor to activate)

In my experiences if someone is slugging you it’s not for any real kind of advantage (such as leaving you to chase another survivor that was lingering by) but because they intend to bleed you out and will camp your body to do so. I’d rather be hooked.

  • @not_requested49 said:

You can't get saved more than 2 times off the hook while you can get saved multiple times from the ground

I really don't get it, sure it was designed that way but it's a blessing to the survivors more than anything, especially if you're on death hook

It depends on how long you’re left on the ground as the bleed out timer doesn’t reset with every recover.

  • @not_requested49 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3466382#Comment_3466382

How? You get to play the game longer, get more points, everything since you can get saved an infinite amount of times until your timer runs out

Again, this is OUTSIDE of "slugging for the 4k" situations

If you want to die fast, why even play? Why not just stand in one place as soon as the match starts so the killer can hook you if you like being hooked?

I don’t get to play the game longer. I just get to crawl around until I bleed out or someone picks me up and typically the killer is right there to down me again. I get no points for any of this. I’m better off being pulled off the hook - a mechanic the game was designed for.

  • For me, personally, the thing I like most about playing killer is scaring people. I know 90% of the time survivors don’t get scared playing this game lol but I still try to go for jumpscares if possible. What I think I like most about killer though is the agency. I can control how the game goes. Obviously, I can’t control survivors and if they’re better than me I’m going to get showed up, but what I mean is I can choose how to play. If I want to just scare ppl I can, if I want to just farm points I can, and if I want to play to win I can. Because of the imbalance in power you don’t get that agency in most survivor roles. However…

What I like about playing survivor (and why I main it) is that imbalance of power and it’s the reason I love playing horror games in general. Growing up playing Resident Evil and Silent Hill these games were scary not just because of the spooky settings and music and the horrifying monsters but because you put yourself in the role of a survivor - like you were in a horror movie yourself. Knowing death could be imminent is scary. I love that feeling when playing games and I love playing survivor as if I’m in a scary movie. The lack of agency can be frustrating especially if a match lasts only a few minutes due to face camping but ultimately I like the thrill of playing survivor and having to make hard decisions - do I finish the gen so we’re one step closer to survival or do I go for the save?

  • @Mandy said:

How do you define that challenge compared to what you see as bullying?

I know this wasn’t intended for me but I’d like to weigh in. When I play as survivor I always try to do my best. Many times I’ve seen players just give up once hatch is closed, etc. I prefer to try until the end is the end. If I’m being chased and I can get a pallet stun I go for it. On that same note, if I can stun the killer to help a teammate I will. Today I was facing a Legion and as they were chasing an injured Nea I hid behind a pallet to stun them and give her time to get away. To me, that’s playing the game and presenting a challenge to the killer. It’s the kind of gameplay I like to see when I’m playing killer. However, I’ve noticed in some games if I manage to get a stun on a killer in a chase or otherwise that they will tunnel me as if doing so offended them. I don’t understand that because I don’t see my behavior as bullying. I guess that’s how I would define that difference - if I was just going out of my way to ignore the gameplay mechanics (gens, helping teammates) and antagonize the killer instead yeah I’d consider that bullying rather than presenting a challenge.

It's still veeery worth it, since even though you won't have the 3% haste after having used dh, at that point you already could've lasted for a long time, and then go on do get big value out of the extra health state dh gives you

I can definitely understand that, but what I’ve seen others saying is that you can basically use it in a way you could use SB+BL before exhaustion was introduced. MFT will get you more value out of DH but once you obtain that value it becomes useless.

  • I like playing survivor better but honestly? My killer games are far less miserable. Being in the power role I can ensure that I’m having fun. Do I sometimes get obliterated by good survivors who know how to utilize their perks? Yes, but no matter which side I play I’m not expecting a certain outcome. Even if I don’t get a single kill I get to engage in a full game, earn a lot of BP, and have a fun time. Meanwhile, at least half of my survivor matches I - or other teammates - don’t get that due to facecamping, slugging, and tunneling.

  • @1ettuce said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/379223/how-strong-is-made-for-this

I honestly thought that it wouldn't be a problem since I assumed SB would be stronger, but....after using it for a hot minute as surv I've changed my mind. This perk could not stack with dh and not have the endurance part and it would still absolutely rival SB imo, the lack of cooldown of any sort really just makes it so damn strong and constant. On top of that, you can run it with DH which is still VERY strong, and it has a side effect which would be very solid as it's own perk. Genuinely just crazy honestly

You can run it with DH but it won’t do you a lot of good once you’ve used it given it can’t be used while exhausted.

out of 85 matches, I've seen it 63 times... I'd say it's a bit too popular

Better nerf anything the majority of ppl are using because popular automatically = OP.

  • @Blueberry said:

The real reason people hate being slugged is because it's an ego check. It's basically a way I've saying I'm confident enough I can down you again. That's why people dislike it, it's nothing rational, all feelings.

No, it’s because I’d rather not waste my time bleeding out. When I say I don’t like slugging I’m not referring to the killer leaving you momentarily while they go after another nearby survivor. Purposefully choosing to leave you slugged because it’s easier or to make you miserable is the issue. When something devolves from potential strategy to straight-up gameplay exploitation it’s an issue.

  • Made for This isn’t an exhaustion perk; it just can’t be used when exhausted. That makes it far easier to counter than an actual exhaustion perk.

  • Killers being able to dodge a lobby because they might go up against a bully team while survivors can’t is game balance? I don’t think so.

Bloodlust takes FOREVER to activate. Degrading should be 2 to 3 loops at most. Watch this, this is pretty cool:

"And LOOPING is boring - for both the killer and the survivor it involves not playing the game SINCE THERE'S ALWAYS A WINDOW, PALLET, just standing there LOOPING ENDLESSLY for an opportunity for the KILLER TO JUST BREAK CHASE."

Basically I did you but from the other side. Pretty cool huh?

Looping literally requires movement and decision-making so how is it not doing anything? How is it the same as just standing and staring at someone on a hook who literally can only hang there or progress their death faster by trying to remove themselves? It’s not and your argument is meritless.

The difference is, that this is your opinion while I would say EVERYONE else likes chases in this game.

But sure - we can go mentally back to first versions of the game, where infinite hook sabotages were a thing, true infinites existed, no BT was in it (so your camping was super potent), everybody just hid - especially with claudette, gens took just 60s, shack had 2 windows and there were MANY more pallets and killers had severe weaknesses (like trapper - one of 3 base killers could have their power totally destroyed by trap sabotage), hatch could possibly allow all 4 players to dip - but realistically it was super easy for at least 2 people to get out, but ebony mori would allow you to kill person that had single hook.

But somehow everyone but you realized, that such a game was not really fun and everyone dropped it. Then comes you and you long for the unbalanced stuff from the early versions of the game - but only things that benefited 1 side. Like sure - bring it on. But for both sides - yet I doubt you would be willing to play such a game as killer for more then a few days.

Also - survivor is so easy, that best soloQ player has 34 escape rate while best killer reached 1000 wins in a row. As for average game - devs for some reason decided, that it's fair for killers to have above 50% kill rate and that's what they are targeting.

From your posts so far I would only say - it's very clear you play just one side.

Everything you said 100%. This other dude is clearly just wanting one side to overpower the other. I don’t think this game can be balanced out completely and I don’t really think they should aim for that either but it can’t be completely imbalanced either like some want it to be.

I mean, how is killer going to know if bully squad is going to waste his time with 4 flashlights without doing gens at all?

The reality is, if a survivor gets facecamped, that's probly a 3 survivor escape EASY if they just play for gens...

Sure, the one on hooks dies but hey, if they are on the hook it means they got to play a chase AND LOST.

Face camping is actually fair and square, like it or not.

What kind of entitled nonsense is this? Camping in and of itself is an issue when it comes to fair play, but if someone is face camping they came or one reason: to make other players miserable. How is that different from survivors that come just to bully? Let me answer for you: it’s not, really. And here’s a newsflash: the game isn’t designed for survivors to be able to escape every chase. Chases tend to favor killers more hence why it’s a 3-hook out - if everyone died after losing the first chase there’d be a major problem.

  • Yes, dude… if anything it was your original comment that implies killers camp. If not you wouldn’t be offering a fake solution for survivors to just switch roles to avoid it.

You're implying every killer face camps ergo every surv will have to switch to killer.

No, I made that comment in response to Tsulan’s original comment in which he stated the solution to not being camped is to just switch to killer. Regardless of if every killer camps or not if survivors all start switching to killer out of fear of potentially being camped that presents a problem.

    Your first phrase?

Yes, everyone switch to killer so that there are no survivors to play against.

That was deliberate sarcasm because if everyone decides to play killer there won’t be as many survivors to go up against. In what way did it imply all killers camp?

  • @BlightedDolphin said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3464151#Comment_3464151

I disagree, scratch marks should always be consistent. Using scratch marks aren’t a different style of play, they are an integral part of all play styles.

And Toba is already a very visually cluttered map so having no LOS or scratches is not something they should aim for. Ormond also has issues with scratch mark visibility but it isn’t cluttered so it’s not that big of a deal, even though I think Ormond should have easier to see scratch marks.

I mean are they not still consistent? The scratch marks don’t change - they just become harder to see based on where they’re placed. I think different maps should present different challenges whether it’s a core mechanic or not. A lot of maps rely on RNG - hook placement, gen placement, jungle gyms… plus they differ in other aspects as well such as pallet spawns and open space versus places to hide. On another note, each killer provides a different challenge to survivors that can alter base gameplay - gen patrol, chases, terror radius, heck I love to play stealthy as a survivor but can’t hide from a Doctor. Now don’t get me wrong - I’m not dead against them altering scratch marks so they aren’t affected by maps - I just think it’s a more interesting way to play the game when both sides have to adapt to wherever they’re playing.

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3463837#Comment_3463837

Nice hyperbole. Do you really think, every killer face camps?

Punishing players for playing in a legit way (because lets face it, face camping is not against the rules. Its not a reportable offense). Is a good way to get rid of the playerbase.

I really don´t see the problem if everyone, who is annoyed by this situation, switches to killer. Best case szenario is, that camping is greatly reduced, since we all get matched against killers who don´t want to camp. Worst case szenario is, that killers get a long queue (longest queue we had a couple of years ago was around 45 minutes) and the devs see a problem.

When did I say every killer camps? If you’re referring to my DS comments stating that it should still be able to be used during endgame isn’t implying the killer is going to camp. Sometimes other survivors see no benefit in going for the save when the exit is right there and other times you might be the last one out. And let’s be honest - even killers that don’t usually camp are more likely to do so once they hook a survivor during endgame.

Sadako doesn't need uncloak speed boost since her uncloak is way better. If Wraith had her uncloak, it would literally be a guaranteed hit on every uncloak.

It’s already pretty much a guaranteed hit unless there’s a jungle gym or vault nearby. His speed boost is a huge advantage both in his cloaked and his post-uncloak movement. If you’re struggling with him it’s a you problem and not a fundamental flaw.

  • I agree she should be able to grab while crouching…. A good survivor should be aware of their surroundings anyway. Her biggest advantage is being able to see the auras of survivors searching boxes… if they nerfed that I think some of these other buffs could work.

At least it's a problem for killers that aren't Blight, Spirit, Nurse. Playing an M1 or a 4.4 killer when someone has this perk is way too hard. Please just nerf it already, there's no excuse for it even making it out of PTB.

Oh, look… yet another Made for This is too strong the game is broken whine whine post. It’s absolutely fine as is. If you’re losing this badly the perk isn’t the problem.

  • Bro, I wish the hatch would spawn the way you describe. I’ve had it spawn near me twice… once when I was slugged and the killer picked me up before I could reach it. When it becomes a race for the hatch killers actually have a better chance of locating it due to their speed. Still, hatch spawns don’t favor either side - I’m pretty sure the location is determined far before it becomes visible lol

"I want them to remove camping entirely because it's a very boring gameplay"

AKA "It's boring because it causes me to lose."

I'd like them to reduce pallets by 30-40% and make loops deteriorate over time. That's boring to me.

It’s boring because it robs a player of their agency, requires no skill or strategy, and is an unbalanced form of gameplay. This coming from the people that complain when survivors do generators so I’m not surprised.

Wraith gets stunned longer in stealth. Sadako doesn't.

Wraith can't pick survivors up while stealthed. Sadako can.

Until recently, Wraith could get light burned out of stealth while Sadako couldn't.

Given Wraith is a low tier killer, I don't see why he doesn't have these QoL changes too.

Wraith ALSO gets a major speed boost upon decloaking. You really cannot compare him with Sadako. I don’t think she’s as bad as everyone says, but Wraith is definitely far more powerful.

Don't hide prestige, how else am I suposed to dodge the toxic SWF 3 flashlight 1 toolbox TTV sweaty try-hards that play full time?

I have a real-life job and I want to have fun too.

some of us are adults with lives and I'd rather not waste my time playing with edgy pre-teen that think they are cool for using mom's credit card to get the latest thristy female survivor skin y'know.

How are survivors to know if the killer they’re going up against isn’t going to waste their time by facecamping them? They won’t. Dodging a lobby because someone has a P100 is stupid.
