I don't know for sure, but my guess is this was part of the arrangement with Park Avenue. I get it. They'll want to maximize their return before they lose the license.
I'm sorry you're getting all this crazy blowback. I appreciate what you do. Thank you for all your hard work.
To my fellow fans, I hope you can all calm down and take some time to breathe and take stock.
BHVR isn't selling NFTs. It's another company. BHVR have no control over it. There's no sense in taking it out on BHVR.
If you don't like NFTs, just keep on not buying them. That's it.
How dare you try to bring balance to the viewpoints on here. Shame oh you ;). Be a good forum member and pick up that pitchfork ;)

I don't think the actual die hards use these forums lol
True. Seems to he mainly people who spend their time sitting on roads and blocking tunnels...... see what I did there

If you can find a match lol.
Besides, I'll be around to make sure people can't get too far up there unless they really deserve it :)
Lol fair enough:)
-
With all these die hards leaving I can't wait to fly up the rankings!!
-
People wetting the bed on here per normal. Although they may have a point in this case.
-
Well said.
-
Survivor mentality in this game summed up.
-
Why? Because it's effective and people want to win. Geez, why does this community have such an issue with people wanting to win.
It's not "sweaty" or "try hard". This is not "Care Bear Simulator 3000". People are allowed to want to win.

I was not aware of this etiquette.
Interestingly enough I was playing a game with three survivors left and 2 gens done. I chased one guy who stopped, dropped his item (a key), for whom I then downed and hooked.
To me, the key dropping wasn't a sign of respect, but an attempt to give his teammates the key, in an easily identifiable area. Suffice to say I played hard to get the 4k after that. Was I wrong?

This Forum...
There is a Killer player who is legit taking the game hostage by not progressing it (by either hooking the Survivors or letting them just bleed out) or by letting the Survivors progress it and it still gets defended in this Forum.
People aren't defending it. Just saying it's not holding the game hostage. Which is true. 2 survivors can absolutely progress the game. Even if the killer isn't hooking or letting them bleed out.

You still bleed out if the killer is carrying you?
No, but the other player can work on the gens while the killer is playing "pickie uppie, droppie".
-
Killer is *not* holding the game hostage. 1 survivor on the gen, the other one, just don't struggle on pick up.
If 1 of the survivors is always on a gen they would have gotten them done.
Totally rude from the killer. But anyone who says it's holding the game hostage is wrong.

Only 1 thing to do....

Yes, hide, do nothing while hiding while the person is being camped and get the rest of the team dead. Very good idea. Not.
That tends to be what I see most survivors do
-
😂😂😂😂
-
Hide, do gens, escape. Or hide, use key, escape. Easy.

theres a lot of factors to consider though, is the gen almost done? are you still at 5 or 4 gens? is this injured person out in the open and an easy target? will this person going to second stage create a lot more pressure? just because a killer is going after the injured person first doesnt mean they are tunneling, they are just taking what they think is the best course of action, are you unhooking in my face and dont have borrowed time? this isnt Fair by Daylight, each side has their objective and its up to them how they want to achieve it
I agree. That's part of my point. But it's also not up to anyone else to decide "what the killer thinks is the best course of action". That's up to the killer, and only the killer.
But I think we agree.
-
@GrimoireWeiss said:
Tunneling does exist but it isn't what most people think it is. Tunneling is a killer that refuses to even defend generators just to get a specific survivor out of the match, no matter how good or bad they are. That's usually a bad tactic. When people accuse killers of tunneling, that's usually just targeting weaker links, which is a smart thing to do as good and bad survivors can both equally do gens.
Genrushing does not exist. That's survivor doing their objectives efficiently.
If a killer is chasing an injured survivor, and chooses *not* to break off the chase to go after healthy survivors on a gen..... this is probably a bad tactic, but maybe that player thinks it's their only option for a down, and (right or wrong) think they're going to lose anyway. And just want a kill.
In that case who are we to tell them how to play. Most people who complain about tunneling seem to think the killer is some real life Ted Bundy, who's only aim is to spoil the survivors game and laugh maniacally. In truth.... maybe sometimes, the killer just wants a kill.
-
Just look at some on the replies on this post. People saying tunneling is literally any.... I repeat any...... instance where a killer.... heaven forbid.... chooses to go after a survivor, and chase then until they are down
And who cares what the killers reason is right?? Because not letting a survivor escape is "tunneling". And tunneling is bad. Give me a break.

This is exactly tunneling. Now whether you care is up to you and how you view the game.
Then let's stop using the word with negative connotations. Because choosing a survivor to go after, for whatever reason, and then people whinging about it is ridiculous.
Basically tunneling = chasing.

@MadLordJack said:

That is literally the definition of "tunneling". I'm not sure how you can tell yourself otherwise. Going after one person and ignoring everyone else is where the term "tunneling" comes from.
Then we need to redefine tunneling as a negative then. Because nobody should be criticised, or start crying for anything I mentioned.
-
100% agree. I'm a killer main right. I have a slight issue with Gen speed, but gen rushing is a nonsense term. If survivors want to get gens popped as quick as possible they are entitled to, and it ain't that hard so crack on.
On the flip side, if I want to go after the hurt survivor, or the strongest player, or the one with the key, etc etc etc..... you can be darn sure I will. Its not tunneling.

Is Fridge Freezer the new Spirit?
Could be 😁😁
-
Lol how can any survivor be hated by people more than others. Every survivor is "literally the same character in a different skin"
Different perks? Nah, everyone plays the same meta perks regardless of the survivor skin they choose.
-
Gotta love survivor mains. Literally any killer who can't be stomped on and teabag taunted all game, and god forbid has any kind of advantage..... and the whingers come out in force.
I've an idea for a killer, as designed by survivors. He's called "The Fridge Freezer". He's literally a fridge freezer. He can't move at all, and has no basic attack. But activating his power gives all the survivors an ice cream which increases gen repair speed by 100%. See, solved it. Happy survivors now?

I do not feel like Deadhard rewards bad survivors, honestly, quite the opposite. But yeah, as a baby killer, I quite like being rewarded by my perk and don't mind if garbo survivors get carried by DS.
The point is that survivors argue NOED gives an "un-earned" down. I'd argue if you subscribe to that viewpoint, you have to say those survivor perks give you an "un-earned" save.

Like all hex perks, it's all or nothing, and that's the whole problem. It allows it to be ridiculous powerful, yet still feels 'weak' to use for most killers, because you only actually get to use it 10% of the time.
They really need to rework all hex perks. Instead of tying them to a single hex totem, they just need to be perks that scale with the number of active totems on the map.
For example, NOED could take a snapshot of all uncleansed totems at the moment the last gen is repaired. It then gains that many tokens, each token = one instant down. This way survivors can cleanse several totems and still weaken NOED without getting that final totem, while killers can still get some use out of NOED instead of it vanishing completely the moment someone cleanses that one hex totem. It would also mean survivors need to cleanse totems before end game, as once that last gen is repaired, it's too late to change it.
You know I can, unfortunately see them implementing something like this, by way of a nerf. Limit the amount of "insta downs" to the volume of totems left at end game.

People say it’s a crutch (which it is) to allow the killer momentum he couldn’t get in the game.
But 90% of the time, survivor crutch perks is the only reason they made it to the endgame alive…so, NOEDs fine with me as I’m sure survivors (including myself) wont stop using crutches.
DoDaDamnBoneZ
100% this...
Survivors: "NOED is an unfair crutch perk that rewards bad killers"
Also Survivors : "Gimme some of that BT, DS, and Dead Hard action".
😂😂

Tunneling is when a killer targets a survivor for the sole reason of making their match miserable.
Now if you want to tunnel, you are 100% aloud, I don’t understand why you keep defending it since there is nothing to defend. Survivors will hate you for anything.
Do you get tilted when survivors gen rush you and flashlight click/taunt you?
Here we go. Someone else with telepathic abilities. The amount of psychic people on this forum is scary I tell ya.

i mean, there are things were its pretty clear they WANT to be toxic.
Like, letting them bleed out while nodding at them or constantly tbagging etc.
But you cant tell if stuff like camping or tunneling is meant to be toxic.
Ok that's fair.

Nothing is toxic as long as you dont want to be toxic.
Sure tunneling and camping CAN be toxic but it doesnt need to.
Some people do it just for fun or to win.
And yes, camping CAN be fun in certein ways. See Otz shinobi clown. You cant tell me thats not funny.
Amen to this. My argument from day dot is that no "behaviour" is toxic, only the "motivation". Since we can only ever speculate on the latter, we can never really call any behaviour toxic.

Having a killer that is possibly the easiest in the game to play, and be able to consistently 4k with little counterplay on the survivor side is extremely unhealthy. Why do you think every spirit is a total sweatlord?
People hardly ever play her because of her power, lore, design, etc. They play her because she is easy, it’s the same with what happened to Freddy.
