The Spider
* Sprays bkanket webs over vaults and pallets to make survivors use them lose a lot of speed for a few seconds.
* Can spray/fill rooms and walkways to slow survivors passing through. Killer gets a 'tingle' (screen vibration) in direction of disturbed web
* Gens can be sprayed with webs causing survivors to either clear them, or work through them which reduces skill check zones
* Killer can wrap downed survivors in webs which require fellow survivors to cleanse off them before they can revive/heal them.
Feel free to add improvements and suggestions 👌
I actually really like this. Be hecka creepy too!

Thread about camping be like.....
-
I got this charming message from a member of our lovely survivor community today after using infinite T3. I wouldn't mind...I only got 2 kills 😂😂😂
-
I defend all survivors right to teabag. And subsequently defend my right to tunnel and camp you out the game at all costs.... which I will! 😁
-
Amen!
If you disagree, off to play "Campfire Kumbaya Simulator" you go.
-
The map is so awful to play, but goodness is looks great!
-
A) The Cosmetic looks awful. B) Playing survivor is easy.
Conclusion: Everything is fine.

So was facing a Freedy in Ormond.
He chased first guy for quite a bit to get one 1 done, he finds me, and gives a short chase which he leaves, big mistake since i found his Devour right after, (didnt knew at the time but he had "Make your Choice" so he left me to go after the rescuer), starts chasing that guy long enough for 2 gens to pop at the same time and soon a third one from my part, which would have left only 1 gen to go.
The guy simply quits, i do feel a bit sad about him, we did destroyed him quite badly.
I'm on the side of that killer here.

Cause it's working for them.

Forever Freddy FTW.

Just killers using opportunity to prevent survivors from getting event cosmetic.
Give over. Just because a killer uses good perks and add ons doesn't mean they are on an "anti crown" mission. Survivors need to get a grip.

mad grit agitation iron grasp, fourth free (honestly just BBQ for points)
any dumb altruism is countered instantly, and aside from that you can pressure people off gens by simply dragging someone else's ass over to their teammates. obviously if people just spread out and do gens you're screwed but is it really worth sweating in this game anymore?
Thanks mate. That's a really interesting combo I had never considered. Appreciate the reply.
-
Lol I gotta ask the stupid question. What's the "Mad Grit" build?
-
Playing killer during this event, I'm not farming, and don't change how I play, even if I see 4 cakes pop up. Am I in the minority?
-
Agreed. No change to NOED, no change to keys. Job done.

Just wanted to give a shoutout to all the killers that camp & tunnel with 3 or more cakes.
- If the match doesn't go right for killers, at least they get compensation. Their BP gain & score are usually higher than that of survivors, even when they escape.
- Survivors who get camped and tunneled get a measly 3-8k Bloodpoints, essentially making the cake offerings wasted.
My first game of today was against a clown with exposed bottles that constantly slugged, shook his head, hit us on hook, tunneled, camped and more. We all died cause my teammates were quite bad and I was SoloQ.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QDVIWPM3R2LB/image.png
Didn't have space to include the part where they use their strongest addons. Almost forgot to mention the Mori.
"But shouldn't x play optimally"? - Shut yer trap. That doesn't excuse your scummy play style whilst there are 4-5 cakes offered. The unnecessary tunneling & camping on top of other things.
All the killers that I've encountered today were so lovely...Bless the wraith that was actually a nice guy...
Survivors have to deal with 5x more BS than killers in this Event. The reason you see more keys as killer is because of BHVR's poor condition to get crowns as survivor.
Edit: A lot of killers here think that killers should allow survivors to farm. WRONG...You are free to farm with them if you'd like & the survivors are free to farm with killers if they'd like. There are killers out there that wake up in the morning during this event and the first thing they think: "Oh, I should probably face camp today whenever I see more than 3 cakes, just to ruin the experience for 4 people"
You should contact the government about putting your incredible mind reading powers to use.

All of your ideas are really bad:
- I wish there was a way to "warn" the killer that they are premades, so we can dodge the game if we want to.
Killers are already cherrypicking enough. And most of the time, they can stomp even SWFs, at least the casual ones. Let alone Solos. So Killers would just dodge until they have a full Solo-Lobby to have the easiest game possible.
- Give the killer some kind of "bonus", like an extra addon or something.
An extra Add On is no "Bonus", it is a very big Advantage. You are talking about 50% more Add Ons... I dont even want to think about the combinations possible.
- Increase the time for generators with 25%/35% and so on, depending on how big your premade group is.
Really bad idea. Like, I have faced 4 man SWFs which did not complete more than 3 Gens during the whole game. What should they do? Get even less of a chance to get out? And what would you do with a 3 man SWF and a Solo? Should the Solo suffer as well, because of the increased Gen Repair times?
- Decrease the times that you need to hook someone to use more to 1.
This would just make Moris overpowered again...
- Dont play against higher ranks, but lower since they have the upper hand to comunicate.
This would just increase Matchmaking Time. Also, Ranking is almost meaningless, e.g. someone at Rank 1 can play like a Rank 15, because it is way too easy to rank up. (Except for currently, because it seemed to be bugged)
- But a little box so we can choose if its okay for us to face premades or not. Ofcourse, the ones that are facing premades should get something extra from the match.
Again, would increase Matchmaking Times. So SWFs and Killers who want to play against Solos will have to wait LONG times to get into a game. Not really desireable.
IMO you should stop focussing on SWFs, way over 90% of SWFs are beatable.
-
As a killer main, when I hear "gen rushing" I don't think of it as survivors doing something they shouldn't be doing necessarily. They need gens to escape so why shouldn't they get them done as quickly as possible?
I see it as a commentary on how quickly and easily gens can pop with 4 survivors being tunnel vision focused on it. Especially if they are co-ordinated.
Again, I wouldn't tell survivors not to do that. It's literally needed for them to escape. Doesn't mean it's fun for the killer though :-). .... Same way I wouldn't tell killers not tunnel or camp. Whatever works for each side, right.

I have encountered far too many boring games since the event started than I ever did before. So many killers are tunnelling and face-camping, and so many survivors are bringing Prove Thyself/BNPs and keys. And for some reason these people do these things in games with 4 or 5 event cakes.
From the survivor side I have experienced either me or my friends getting tunnelled and camped off hook, a huge amount of Wraith players who are using silent bell + indoor map offerings, Nurses with Infectious who slug the entire team with 4 or 5 gens left, and Bubbas with Insidious who camp their first hook in the basement.
And then when I have tried to play killer, many games have ended within 5 minutes because of Prove Thyself, BNPs, keys, and just general gen-rushing strategies. Not to mention the surprising amount of Haddonfield offerings.
Just curious as to how many people on here have been having terrible games like I have since the event started, and why people could possibly want to play so boring (for both sides) when each game gets 300-500% extra bloodpoints?
Honestly, I'm seeing no difference to how people play this game 99% of the time lol.
Killers doing what they can to get kills (as they are entitled to do), and survivors teabaggging, flashlight clicking and powering through gens in no time (again, not blaming the survivors).

I’m really not dictating anything other than what the setup for the game actually is. If you 4K with Bubba everybody within 30 seconds of match start you are likely to get an “Entity Displeased” result. So obviously just “killing” everybody isn’t supposed to be the primary objective. The objective is to entertain the entity, and that just plain doesn’t entirely rest upon killing everybody, despite the person playing the killer playing just for that.
Yes, but Killing everyone *is* the primary goal. For example, that is why you are rewarded for not letting anyone escape.
Sure you get *more* rewards the more they suffer (e.g. more hooks), but that doesn't change the fact the goal of the killer is to kill.
Ultimately if someone is playing a video game that is "killers versus survivors" and plays the role of the killer, absolutely nobody can dictate that person shouldn't be looking for kills by whatever means they choose.

Why? I mean the whole role of killer is to ruin the fun for 4 other players. So I’m not shocked.
Disagree. Though on the other hand, if you genuinely think survivors care about the killer having fun.... I've got some magic beans you might be interested in.
-
Killers can't hold the game hostage so I guess they're doing nothing wrong by the rules of the game. Why isn't the 4th survivor doing gens during this?

Why do act like it’s your duty to protect all killers. Are you their lawyer? There are killers that tunnel deliberately during the event so the survivor only gets 5k base points. They only care about the bloodpoints they get.
A) Why do survivors always claim to have psychic knowledge of a killers strategy motivation?
B) With all due respect, you can't complain about players on opposite sides caring about their own game. It's "Dead By Daylight", not "Campfire Kumbaya Simulator".

Thank you for the reply, tone and intent is always tricky on the internet. And usually I do just move on, but I've been trying to play for the last 5 hours or so and it's consistently been like this. Normally I'd just take a break, but I'm trying to get through the Tome/Rift since I stupidly paid for the pass before I got to the end of it. Some of the onus is on me as I seem to be a glutton for punishment. =(
I hear you. My survivor game is awful lol. Taking me an eternity to get those objectives done. Hope you get some better games soon. Good luck!

Technically a killer’s chief objective isn’t to kill, it’s to extend the survivor’s suffering. There’s a reason why it is possible to get a worse score with a 4K than it is to have with 4 escapes after 2 hooks each.
Respectfully, I've never understood the mentality that survivors can dictate what a killers objective should be. Not everyone cares about 30k bloodpoints every game. It's a game about killers hunting survivors, with the aim of sacrificing them. Some people want kills as their primary goal. It's their game and their choice.

But you can engage in behavior that essentially shuts a player entirely out of the game at the start. Taking hostage it might not be, but it is seriously flawed gameplay. If this were a Battle Royale style game, maybe this wouldn't be such a big issue, but when any reward is locked behind the length of engagement in the match and elements outside your control (RNG and Technical issues) take you out instead of your skill, that is troubling and should be addressed.
Also, kindly requesting less snark? Kinda dealing with enough of it right now. Always happy to engage in constructive chat, but all out of mental resources otherwise (anxiety/depressive disorders, please don't harass, thanks).
Wasn't harassing. Or being snarky. Just correcting an error in your statement. I have an aversion to hyperbole.
I agree it sucks when you are eliminated from the game early. But also think the killer is under no obligation to do survivors any favours. My solution. Move on, forget it, and hope for a better game.

Don’t feel bad about the dc. I’m sick of killers getting rewarded for taking the game hostage and making it unplayable for everyone else. The tunneling and try hard attitudes today are out of control. Plus side, it will show devs Exactly what I’ve been talking about is true.
Killers can't hold the game hostage. Next.

@van9684 said:
Okay gen rushing isn’t a thing lol. Survivors have one objective so what would you suggest they do? Wait in a corner until the killer says “go”? Do you see how absurd that sounds? “Hey everyone, let’s take a few minutes and wait until the killer is ready to begin playing”. Lmao
-
Camping and tunneling works.

@SoapNSpook said:
It shuts loops and takes away any ability to play around them. No skill needed, just hop over a window. Even a shack pallet goes down after a while with the perk being active. It performs too well in a 1vs1 chase, you need to burn through pallets to avoid going on the ground.
Bamboozle needs to be changed immediately, it ruins any sort of ability to prolong chases without dropping every single pallet you see!
No.

If you getting ranks fast like that, you will face with red ranks already :)
And believe me, camp is so bad tactic. I mean yes, you can win sometimes but when you get good survivors, you will see how much bad tactic.
Which killer is you playing?
It's all a matter of degree. I was facing really good red ranks straight away. After a while the best way to get kills was to camp. So that's what I did!
-
I was at rank 12 before MMR and steadily climbing. Then MMR hit and I was being paired constantly with red rank survivors and getting hammered every game. After I de pipped to 16 (and I was actually trying to climb ranking) I gave up playing by the survivor rulebook and started camping /tunneling to the max.
Current rank at 14 so it works :).
But my point to your is I think some players are just getting shafted by mathmaking.
-
MMR = Boooooooooooo! That is all.

If I’m just guessing, the data sets are starting with a 0 value for each player and then trying to build from there. Could be wrong, but that would explain wild fluctuations in match-ups. I think everyone is assuming that the MMR is using an existing rank for each player, and I’m guessing it’s not.
Good explanation fair point. But what I, and many others are seeing "aren't" variations. Just constant rank mis matches.

How do you explain then that someone like me who is only playing casual, non meta killer, without perks but bbq for points and brown add-ons plus brown bp offering can sometimes stomp teams of purple or red ranks?
I played an evening 15 games and roughly won half of them and most of them were at least purple to red rank. Only one team of pure red ranks really stomped me with 2 hooks.
To explain the problem from my point I use league of legend or other games ranking system. In lol everyone with a basic understanding of the game can reach high silver or low gold elo just like red rank and partially rank 1 in dbd. It is simply a case of time invested each month after a certain point (people managed it within only a few months after getting the game).
The problem continues that there also are people with much more skill that would reach master or grandmaster in lol terms but dbd just ends at rank 1 and now that becomes a hotpot of everything skillwise from high silver up to grandmaster (6 elos with 3 of them further divided into 4 steps).
This takes any real meaning of the "achievement" of rank 1. Swf only further pushes this problem by boosting some people up there.
You asked me to explain... Variance.
-
STOP THE COUNT!
-
Wrong.

@FluffyCrit said:
Everybody talking about how they get beginner survivors.
Me when MMR is on: 80% Sweaty SFW trying super hard against me being a casual killer with fun builds like T1 Myers to spook people, Mad Grit PPhead to have fun with the broken attack animation, etc... The last 20% are still mostly Rank 1 survivors... just not in a SWF.
Also of course most of the SWF were toxic pricks bragging about their victory and doing their best to bully me. I don't care that much about it but when it's most games it becomes tiring after a while. So yeah I wish I knew the MMR was back the same as months ago. I would not have played at all. And I'll probably stop playing DbD completely the day it's permanently implemented if they don't improve it.
I wish I could have beginners against me to at least spook them xD I'm someone playing for fun with silly builds and stuff, not tryharding.
I hear you mate.

But I'm the one on the other side of the stomping lol.

I'd rather have a game that tests my skill then one where I can zone out listening to a twitch stream and still easily 4K.
Have those games 10 times on the dot and see if you feel the same.
Besides. Camping takes concentration nowadays. Those pesky survivors are of the opinion I'm not entitled to my kill. How very rude of them.
-
Then why all the ridiculous, clearly ridiculous matchups in this gatherings phase?
If they are starting from a base, assume everyone at similar rank is of the same skill then adjust from there accordingly.
