It would be pretty cool to have him in the game. Especially because Semimatic made a pretty cool chase music theme for him.
I personally like firsEncounterAssult was a bit better but semantic still did a good job
If you haven't listed to Fea's already here it is : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nwp5dDrTZpo

Springtrap, Richard Trager/Outlast. Jason, Candyman, or even some of my works from Pinebrook ( Sorry couldn't help it)

Nemesis (Resident Evil 3), Mr. X (Resident Evil 2), William Birkin (Resident Evil 2), and the Rat King (The Last of Us Part II).
You can probably guess that I really like Resident Evil. The remakes really got me hooked on it. Not sure what perks we'd give them though. Maybe just make Mr. X a legendary skin for Nemesis so that way we only have to make perks for three Killers.
I personally wouldn't want to see Nemesis, sure he's Iconic and the best villain of RE, but I just can't help but cringe at the thought of him being stunned by a pallet, it just would ######### on what made him scary, the same thing I have with Pennywise, or Xenomorph let alone anime. But that's just me.
As for William Birkin, I think he should be legendary for Blight, since both are so identical

Is this an out of season April fool's joke

I actually was thinking about this. I was writing a series of short stories that might turn out to be canon in DBD lore. Its called Pinebrook, its a town where many dark things happened, as a result monsters and demons were born there, I can't tell you what happened exactly because it'd be spoiling. Anyway I had a crazy idea one time to make it canon to the DBD lore, with characters like Talbot Grimes, Evan Macmillan, and Philip Ojomo as characters that existed in that universe . Hell the Idea went so far to say the Pustulas flowers were a bi product of how these monsters were created. However I probably won't go that far because it'd be copyrighting but it was a cool idea overall to think about. But maybe who knows.
I would love Funko Pops and maybe a tv series would be cool
-
Eh... I don't know, maybe I guess. This just feels like an odd topic to talk about for me (No offense), I guess it could work like I imagined PH being a female as a skin to represent Cheryll, and what the combination of the two characters would look like. Since as far as I know, that Pyramid head has different forms and are meant to look different depending on the person. But I would like to see what the combination of the two would look like, maybe not for the other killers though
-
I tend to love the thrill of the chase, and it felt honestly good having it back.
-
I try to make it fair for survivors but if they are gonna be toxic and flaunt in my face about it, that's when you shouldn't expect mercy from me

Its too weak. Pop wastes a lot of time on most Killer when you see a gen across the map its not worth it. Corrupt is too luck based. Sometimes you get bad gens and they barely notice it. And sometimes they all immerse and you don't get your first chase until its almost over
The same can kinda be said for ruin/undying, it depends on where they spawn which is again luck

I mean... I hope this doesn't come across as rude, but if the game is affecting you so much, then you should probably take a break. No game is worth your mental health.
For actual help, well... I'd suggest watching DbD Channels like Scott Jund, Otzdarva, even OhTofu. They all have great videos on how to play killer more effectively.
Yeah I learned that the hard way, thankfully it doesn't affect me as much anymore

Yes on multiple games including this one but nothing too trastic

My favourite Outlast 1 moment was watching Chris Walker get pulled through a vent and utterly destroyed. After running from him all game it was very rewarding. Whistleblower had some good moments too.
As for outlast 2 I can't say I have a favourite moment in outlast 2. the whole thing was out of left field the entire game.
Agreed on Outlast 2 it just felt out of nowhere and had very little to almost next to no ties from the original game

As Trapper main, no Bloodlust doesnt affect him. He doesnt need chasing or even mind game. He just need to learn how to control survivor's movement direction into his traps. Im really bad at chase/mind game as Killer since I play Trapper most of the time. Change to other Killers I feel hopeless at chase.
Other Killers with slow down basekit like Clown, Freddy doesnt affected that much. Only those who chase to deal damage with pure 115% vs 100% like Wraith, Ghostface, Shape are the most hurt.
I never truly played trapper in the high ranks a whole lot, but you get what I'm saying right? Without Bloodlust it can really hurt a certain number of killers so until I hope the devs take that into consideration
-
I do think without bloodlust it does hurt certain killers like Trapper, he doesn't have any other power than just to place traps which if your smart it will work a decency of the time, but let's say if you went into an area with no traps or you don't set up enough traps before you see a survivor in which you have to chase, and he relies solely on looping skills, that'll hurt him, and other killers. Now killers like Spirit, PH, or Huntress are fine, but killers like Clown, Trapper, Wraith, and Legion, that'll hurt them by a chunk. Now if they were balanced and receive some reworks or buffs, then it would be okay to get rid of Bloodlust, but not now.
-
It can be stressful, but not always though, say if you had a stressful day and you decide to play killer ( If you get back around P.M time) it can turn into a literal nightmare at times
-
@Boss said:
I guess they wanted to make it look as much as possible as the street itself?
Granted, our Generators weren't on that street before, but i guess replacing an entire house with a Killer Shack is too much?
This is me just speculating, but i highly doubt they just forgot.
My thoughts exactly I mean it'd be cool what they could've came up with but hey no complaint here
-
It has to do with psychological urge to win, this is for every multiplayer game out there, COD, Fortnite, League of Legends, and so on. It feels satisfying to win, I mean do you feel good when you win? Well that's kinda the case here, and it adds a lot pressure to the players due to the fact this game isn't properly balanced also plays a factor into this game sadly, it can even hurt people psychologically which creates that man child form of toxicity. Now I could be wrong because people act toxic, because they find it fun, but not all of the toxic players are like that, they probably are doing it for other reasons. Don't let it get to you though, just try do your best I would count that as a win in my book.
-
The Twins seems they'll definitely be better than they were in the PTB,playing them almost felt like SWF bully simulator for a majority of the time playing as them.
-
I would've chosen Jason or Candyman, but it was a tough pick, I went with who I really wanted, but I would love these guys to come into the game too,

Outlast 2: I guess the school scenes

Another Noed post?

Since I don't see him much, no I think facing every killer is a treat except Spirit, or Freddy

Watching Chris and Trager die was so damn satisfying!
It was pretty cool though how they died, but I feel like Trager was killed off way to quickly, they could've done so much more for him, its actually kinda sad
-
@Hoodied said:
Oh, Outlast you say? *cracks soda*
So in Outlast 2 is was all of the school scenes
Outlast 1 it was any time Chris appeared and when Chris and Walrider had a friendly reminder that vents are dangerous
yeah those were trippy, Chris walker is defiantly one of the most intimidating characters I've seen in a horror game, I would love to see who they bring in next for The Outlast Trials
@[Deleted User] said:
Outlast 1 was definitely that memorable section with Gluskin in the Whistleblower DLC. No spoilers, but man that was f'd.
Outlast 2 didn't have a moment quite that memorable for me, but the thing that's coming to mind is the phone that tongue-punched my eardrum D:
Oh I know what your talking about, yeah that was f'd, but after seeing that I just couldn't look at someone who would want to go through that, god damn I'd say Eddie gave Trager a run for his money as a surgeon
-
I don't blame them when they are like this though, it feels like you are doing an assignment and every gen that pops is like the due date kinda, it becomes stressful and thats what happens, so just know they are just stressed when that happen and will resort to get a win, just think about it that way
-
I think it was originally gonna be Hillbilly, Nea, Adam, and Clown for the lore, but I guess they changed it to Blight at the last second
-
I would like to see another circus themed killer this one had the most put into detail of the fan made chapter

Harry Warden/My Bloody Valentine or Richard Trager/Outlast, Don't if Springtrap counts, but I'll say it anyway,

Mr X or William Birkin from resident evil 2 they would be perfect for this game.
I wouldn't call that underrated at all and makes perfect sense

I want them to troll us by making us think it's Springtrap by depicting him on an arcade machine. Then, a machette stabs the screen which shuts the machine off, and the reflection shows Jason.
Also, i'd prefer movie Jason.
That would be pretty, funny but I would be surprised if it was Springtrap at first, but I would be kind apissed at that though, I would like to see Springtrap come into the game, but not before Jason.

Seriously what do you mean a Happy meal, like a full chapter or what?

I understand man and its better letting out, we get it, not a lot of people like SLinger, so its OK just let out
-
@GhostMaceNotCrusty said:

As in what, from the movies or something?

@Mooks said:
I think it should be the Jason from the movies, with mommy issues, the iconic sound and all. And Tommy Jarvis or what he is called as survivor.
but then again I never watched a movie from that franchise (except Freddy vs Jason) so I shouldn’t demand any of it I guess..
for GhostFace it was okay, since it was only the costume in the movies that was iconic and there were so many that wore it.
I get that I really do, but getting him in the game will not happen any time soon if it is from the Movies, if they make their own with the mask and machete then I would be fine, I love the one from Never Hike alone that Jason I find one of the best and scariest out of them all
-
If you want someone to greatly help you watch Otz or Otzdarva ( Don't if I spelled that right), he has amazing tips for each killer, I recommend for new player/ rank 20s to play Trapper first, just so they can get used to playing a killer without using you power.

Those games our on 80% discount in ps store rn and I was thinking of buying but I watched trailer and it doesn't really attracts me to play but maybe gonna give it a try
Its a lot better than how the trailer paints it, it goes into stuff like MKULTRA and 60's horror asylum, plus its quite scary if it is your first time playing it.

i'm curious now, can you tell me why chris walker is bigger than marta?
Well Chris walker was a lot more threatening than she was, in fact he can one shot you and rip your head off and is creepy AF, plus I ddin't like Outlast 2 as much as I did Outlast 1
-
@[Deleted User] said:
well i haven't had the courage to play any of the games completely, but i have watched outlast 2.
my favorite in outlast 2 has the woman with the giant pickaxe at the end when she says "god give me strength" or something like that and then thunder strikes the cross at the top of the church and then kills her
The woman's name is Marta, and yeah that was quite ironic she died that way, but she was nothing compared to who Chris walker ( The Big guy from 1) was

I'm reaaaally interested how your clown gameplay looks like.
Would it be possible to show some videos of you playing him. There isn't really much high tier clown content out there as far as i know
Same, I wanna see what he does

@TheClownIsKing said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/206814/truthully-how-good-bad-is-clowns-performance
I can’t speak on his performance because I don’t bother with keeping track of the released stats on this topic.
But I do periodically watch streams and pretty much see the same mistakes made with Clown over and over again, which would explain why many don’t do well with him, or form the opinion that he’s bad.
Truth be told, once it’s understood how to use the gas to either herd survivors where you want them, or place it in FRONT of their path, Clown becomes incredibly oppressive during a chase, and survivors go down very quickly, even at full health.
This is why Clown lacks other types of pressure. Getting more than one survivor downed in a brief period of time creates all the pressure Clown needs.
Throwing bottles DIRECTLY at survivors has a place in the game, but far too many players do this over and over, usually either missing entirely or it lands behind the survivor, having the survivor afflicted with the briefest amount of gas.
It’ll be interesting to see what’s planned for Clown, because I think he only needs to most minor of tweaks to his existing kit. With how experienced I am with Clown I really can see Clown accidentally becoming overpowered if they’re not careful with what changes they implement. I have suspicions the devs already know this too: that Clown could accidentally become overpowered, and it’s why they’ve taken so long to implement any changes, other than that one change to his brief slowdown he used to have when he threw a bottle.
At least I feel assured they are thinking about it beforehand

I think he meant in game currency

Glad that you are still working on this, of course school takes preference - education is important! Plus Holiday season will soon be here so hopefully you will have more time to write.
Thank you its honestly been difficult to create something as big as this while trying to do both, but maybe spending more time with school was better for the writing, because now I have new ideas, and new lore I hope to share, thank you for understanding and I will try my absolute hardest to make the wait worth it in the end

Quick update: I will unfortunately have to push back to next year for the book to be released, School unfortunately has gotten in the way of things, and I need to focus more on that then this project, fortunately I will be on break soon and then I will put full time effort into the book, I promise, anyway I did say that I would post excerpts to give people slight previews of this book, but unfortunately until I have at least two of the short stories done, I'm afraid I cannot do that, however I will work my hardest to make it extra special, you know something to make it up to you guys. But on a good note I'm beginning to have more time with myself and others that are easing the stress I'm feeling. I will probably post and excerpt this week from one of the short stories, I am terribly sorry about this but I hope you can understand, thanks for your patience, support, and I will see you in the fog.
