Now that'd be simply perfect. It's Behavior though, so lets not get our hopes up.

I don't plan to, but they have to make amends for no new god damn map! I think its fair we get two!

  • " Its a whole lot worse then it looks, cleanliness is next to godliness, and your mothers pretty ######### close to meeting him right now!" - My favorite line

" ######### it I'm gonna kill everyone of you!"

Killer: Jack Baker (Jack fits the atmosphere of dbd very well, and I just love his character. If I had to pick someone else, it'd be Birkin)

Survivors: Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield (RE2 is my favorite RE game behind 7, so of course I'd want this dynamic duo, I'd also like legendary skins for Chris, Jill, Annette, Ada, Ethan and other RE characters)

Map: Raccoon City Police Department (As I said before, RE2 is my second favorite RE game, and The Police Station is just such a cool and iconic location)

Or it could be two maps, imagine that! baker Ranch and Raccoon City, hell it might even be two killers, so now people get both the old and the new

  • Jack Baker... All the way

I'm glad your sweet pup is doing alright!

IRL emergencies can and do happen. They have happened to me mid-game several times; from an elderly family member suddenly feeling ill and needing a trip to the hospital, to my senior cat (now passed) that was throwing up after medicine and sounded to be in pain. Whether you're playing a video game or in the middle of something else, emergencies are emergencies, and come first.

(And of course just a little reminder to be civil when talking about others on the forum)

People need to realize this, but no... there fun is more important then what is going on IRL.

& that too! New horrors are always being made, so the next 'Silent Hill' or 'Hallowe'en' could be right around the corner!

Personally, though I doubt it'll happen, I'd love a chapter on 'The Magnus Archives' the potential for perks on both sides, as well as the amount of killer opportunities, is bountiful!

That's what I'm trying to make. You never know it could happen, I believe a lot of people have amazing imagination they just need to commit to it, and not hold back.

    The magnus archives?

In honesty, neither did I! I'm shaky on a couple like "Them", and admittedly a lot of these aren't huge franchises. Yet the possibility of DBD having some more is still pretty fruitful.

Its possible who knows maybe a very exciting new horror franchise grows in popularity in DBDs life span

There are a lot of avenues still to explore, depending on what BHVR would be more invested in. Some are big, whilst others may not be but have huge potential for interesting killers, survivors, perks or directions.

    Films:

Alien; Hellraiser, Friday 13th; Slumberparty Massacre 2; The Shining; Sweeny Todd; Psycho; Carrie; The Ring; Constantine; From Dusk Till Dawn; Get Out; It; Dracula; The Blair Witch Project; Mother!; Sleepy Hollow, etc...

    TV Shows:

The Walking Dead; Channel Zero; American Horror Story; Them; Supernatural; X-Files; The Vampire Diaries; The Stand; The Terror; Creepshow; Hannibal; Dexter; Grimm; The Twilight Zone; Evil; Gotham; Twin Peaks, etc..

    Video Games:

Alan Wake; Fatal Frame; Clocktower; Haunting Ground; The Evil Within; The Cat Lady; The Last of Us; Far Cry; Bioshock; Condemned; Outlast; F.E.A.R.; We Happy Few; Get Even; American McGee's Alice; Medium; Deadly Premonition, etc..

    Other Media:

The Magnus Archives; Alice Isn't Dead; The SCP Foundation; Carmilla; Creepypasta; I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream; 1984; House of Hell; Teacups; NoSleep; The Black Tapes; Gideon Falls; Code Pru; Francis Bacon, etc..

    Urban Legends/Myths:

Scarecrow; Kuchisake-onna; La Llorona; Black Annis; Bloody Mary; Indrid Cold; Spring-Heeled Jack; Yuki Onna; Gargoyles; The Erinyes; Gorgons; The Bogeyman; The Whipping Father; The Baubas; Succubus, etc..

Basically, there are a lot of avenues still to explore above and beyond their own creations.

Geez man even I couldn't think of that many off the top of my head

  • Thats cute, hope hes okay... and if she was ranting you being afk because your dog was distress, she needs to grow the ######### up, geez if that was my little doggie, I would be afk too.

I'm a huge RE fan so I'm super stoked about RE coming to DBD (for I know I will be shelling out the bones for the DLC in a heartbeat). So stoked I'll probably stake out the exact time of its release. Like that super stoked.

    Anyways, onto the actual topic.

    Killer:

Nemesis is a good contender but as you've stated, he's well and probably too OP armored to be a killer. The devs would have to team with RE to kinda mold a power for him that fits both DBD and holds true to RE. Maybe they can do that... not quite sure yet. But here lies another issue with another hope held out fave Mr. X. There is a fanvid made of what Mr. X would look like in the game and while it seems neat in theory, he would simply just.. go around punching survivors to death. It'd be a pretty boring power to play as and against in my opinion. He'd have to get some kind of buff that is similar to Nemie's situation where both parties have to be in unison with the power.

Then there's Birkin. Another people hold out hope for to be the killer. Idk this might just be me, but it'd be a bit goofy seeing him, a mutated human with a huge f'ing eyeball smack into the wall and get bamboozled. Dunno, something just tells me not him. Wesker is another possibility but again, they'd have to rework his entire power from the game and I could actually see how they could work around it or mold his canon power to fit in with the fog.

Killer could also be one of the creatures such as Licker. That would certainly be an interesting angle. You've got smaller framed killers out here latching onto people's backs moving at the speed of lightning so why not? Lickers are blind though so idk how they'd fix that little pickle.

I'd say count out the vampire lady coming from Village because this is a big event for RE, they're most likely gonna wanna go down to the roots where it all begin to celebrate their 25 years. Maybe Jack Baker but again, I kinda see this one as a 30%-40% chance as he would make a dope killer given his kinda mold powers from RE7 but he's still kinda recent and not really a classic RE symbolism. Also, again, I'd count out probably the Revelations games' villains as it wasn't an entirely popular seller (although my favorite RE game is Revelations 1 so I'd be like !!!!! if they had Jill's scuba outfit or beach outfit). Unfortunately, I don't remember much about Code Veronica but I do know Matthiew quoted Claire from it but I also highly doubt it'll be anything from CV.

    Survivor:

My guesses are: Claire, Leon, Jill, Chris. Those four in particular. They essentially made RE. I'm guessing and highly hoping it'll be a ST situation where it's two survivors instead of one. It would be pretty epic to see Rebecca and Barry as survivors but my gut again tells me it's one of those four I mentioned above. Especially with the new Netflix show coming out for RE... Leon and Claire. Actually the more I think about it, the male doesn't even have to be questioned. It'll be Leon. He's a major beloved character and to some people is the face of RE so I can see RE and DBD appeasing the RE fanbase by delivering him.

    Map:

If we even get a map, I'd imagine it'd either be the Racoon City Police Department, The Spencer Mansion or maybe one of the Islands.

I think I'll be happy with almost anything they'll bring to the table. Ever since I got invested in this game, I've so wanted RE in so as far as I'm concerned... I can die happy. Lol

Finally someone who shares a similar opinion on Nemie coming into DBD. He is just way to armored to be in DBD, but Jack Baker I rlly want to come in but he might not. I'm still holding hope

  • I try not to as well I only do it when something occurs irl.

If a car that is going mb 30mph can move him off his feet then yes a almost 300lb pallet can momentarily stun him

I mean what about the other times, as well like uh... ######### I gotta play RE 3 remake,

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2125818#Comment_2125818

Well the case of Nemesis, Mr X and the lot of RE monster pallets wouldnt work mainly because they are durable as tanks.

Nemesis was able to withstand a grenade at mele range and an helicopter crashing on him, Mr X survived being tossed into molten iron and being shot a dozen times in the face etc. RE monster are orders of magnitude more durable than DBD Killers, a pallet would be nothing for them.

Okay thats what I wanted to know, thank you. I just wanted to get over this constant back and forth argument of whether Nemesis wouldn't work or not

  • @HectorBrando said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2125726#Comment_2125726

Well to gauge the raw "strength" of how much force the pallet would apply we have to gauge the surface of impact and a lot of stuff, is not easy but 125 kg throw on someone by gravity alone is a lot of force, it may not be lethal since the distance is short but it still can crush or compress the chest enough to suffocate someone. That using gravity alone, ingame Survivors look like they apply some downwards force to the pallet to increase its acceleration.

Long story short, I believe only Trapper, Myers, Leatherdace and Oni would be able to withstand the pallets being throw on them and still be able to keep walking albeit injured, tall but scrawny Killers (Wraith, Plague, Deathslinger etc) would have a lot of trouble getting out of them and the small weak ones would be immbolized entirely (or suffocated by chest compression).

This using DBD pallets of course and not real life ones.

P.D. on a sidenote, real life pallets are very very durable, forget about breaking them with kicks, you need hammers to break the wooden beams, maybe a regular person you can break the planks if they are rotten.

Ah, I see, that helps me paint a picture. Originally when I was making this I had someone rant how a monster like Nemesis couldn't work because Pallets wouldn't hurt him yadi yadi yada, I wanted to agree but then I wondered, how much do the Pallets weigh and how much force is applied when thrown. So now with all this info, I'm inclined to believe that this probably could stun him just a little though

  • @onemind said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2125726#Comment_2125726

Answer enough to give anyone a concussion if they get hit by it

But now with that in mind I wanna think about Nemesis, which was the main reason I asked this said question, would you say that would be enough to stun him? or at least stop him in his tracks for quite a bit?

  • @HectorBrando said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/244187/pallet-science-question

Depends on the pallet and who throws it, Force = mass X acceleration (not speed), lets say the pallet weights 10 kilos and you throw it with an acceleration of 10 m/s it would be 10X10=100 newtons of force.

Thats using random numbers, I work on an oil refiner and we use pallets, they weight more of what people give them credit for, they are made with 3 solid wooden beams and then planks nailed on said beams, an European pallet of 1200 X 800 weights around 25 kg or so.

That is for real life pallets, DBD pallets are much more solid and dense, they have bigger wooden beans, wider planks and they seem to be solid in their entirety, they look bigger too, they look like a stack of wooden beams nailed and tied, I believe they could be close to 125 kg or even more, I believe DBD pallets could potentially kill or badly injure most Killers when hit by them.

Thx for helping clear it up a bit. so that could mean they weigh around 275 pounds, and say they move at a speed of .9144m/s. How much would that be? God this should be a video for game theory

  • Haddonfield, and the game

  • @Clevite said:

Force is Mass times acceleration , but it seems others have beat me to it.

So, I will concede to their computations.

The problem is we don't know exactly how much mass the pallet actually is

  • @onemind said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2125601#Comment_2125601

Still let's say the survivors and killers have insane strength by the entitey anything would be stuned by that even someone like nemissis

Funny enough that's the whole reason why I asked this very question. I wondered how would Nemesis be stunned by a pallet, I then wondered well how much does the pallet actually hurt. I do think the pallet doesn't way over 1.5 tons Yui wouldn't be able to pick it up, I'm guessing its around at least a hundred pounds in weight

  • Or how PH can be, Poor Hag she is ######### dead. ALthough this might not entirely be accurate

Yeah thats a good point on candyman. I dont know him super well and haven't seen the new movie yet so I'll have to check it out. He in and of himself is hard to picture of having a very interesting gameplay though from what I remember. He may be awesome though.

I just never got into fnaf and found the game boring, not scary, and more annoying than anything. I would rather have almost any property in but I could see in some ways why others would want them in

Heres a link to the puppet video, warning though its very ######### heavy

    link:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9O9_-bv5qE

  • @FrootLoops said:

it takes around 90g (90 times earths gravity) to cause a concussion. we can use F=m*a to determine that a 1.5kg brain decelerating at 90g experiences 1323 newtons of force.

So baselining off of that and @Hoodied observation of the pallet traveling at .9144m/s, in order to deliver an equivalent force the pallet must weigh around 1446.85kg.

that is assuming the killer is concussed resulting in a physical stun, rather than mildly insulted by your disrespectful behavior.

Thats at least 1 ton and a half, yeah survivors can't throw that down

  • @IWasLeft2Die said:

So we primarily have (as far as majorish ones go) I'll put about 7 each that are most talked about. I'll also include some reasoning for why not them

    Movies

    Chucky (short)

Pennywise (imo doubtful because Stephen King doesn't like lending out his materials)

Pinhead (hard to imagine what he would do....)

Alien (feels out of place and a key part of alien is to be able to climb stuff which I doubt they could implement well. This also doesn't factor in Disney's money hungry tendencies)

    Jason (legal troubles)

Candyman (not that popular in all honesty and kinda bland)

The Creeper (the owner sucks and no one wants to work with him)

    Games

FNAF (lacks a solid survivor and they could just make their own thing similar to it)

Amnesia (not as well known as some of these)

Until Dawn (playstation specific as of now)

Clock tower (very old and not that relevant anymore)

    Fatal frame (same as clocktower)

Dead space (wouldnt fit in super well kind of like Alien)

Outlast (honestly I have a hard time of thinking of a reason why not)

I do agree with you for the most part, but I have some things to say if you don't mind.

I mostly agree with the movies they have their own personal troubles I do disagree wuth you a bit on Candyman, he is probably one of the most unique well known slashers. He was the first ever African American Slasher, plus from what I've heard about the new candyman movie is that they changed a lot of the script, because of the events of last year in June ( Can't name it for forum reasons ), they are making it to where they focus heavily on those social aspects, they actually released a puppet video that is sad as hell because you could understand the meaning behind it. In a way Candyman would be an important addition to DBD

Now for Games, I do like to think of FNaf coming in but you bring up a good point about the survivor. I honestly don't know why we don't have Outlast of all franchises in this game, I mean come on its the scariest game of the last decade, and probably ranks high up there with some others. I think it has to do with the fact for the amount of gore and violence, I read Outlast 2 was banned in Australia because of one ######### up scene which I absolutely get. So hopefully we get a chapter focusing on Mt. Massive Asylum instead

entity's gotta be drowning in health insurance copays at this point

Oof I can't imagine how much debt it owes to the health department. Although your answer could be wrong, maybe one of the devs can give us an actual answer

  • @ShamelessPigMain said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2125467#Comment_2125467

Yeah I hate math so I probably am wrong. But in a world where that skinny queen plague has an infinite supply of vomit in her system, everything is wrong.

Eh true but if that is the case, this could probably do more then stun the killer it should give them a concussion. In fact this could take Hags' head clean off

  • @ShamelessPigMain said:

A typical wooden pallet is around 35 pounds, but these seem to be much heavier so I'll throw in an extra 5 points for 40 pounds. I'm too lazy to calculate with angular momentum so I'll just take the highest part of the pallet and assume it goes straight down. Survivors are probably around the 5'10" mark, and since pallets are taller than them, we'll say a safe 6'2". The pallet drop animation takes about .2 or .4 seconds (starting from when the pallet starts to move, not the actual animation), just by eying it. So it travels around 1.9 meters in .2 seconds. 9.5 meters per second. That's about 861.8 newtons, which is probably horribly wrong because we don't have any exact values, but still enough to cause a concussion.

The lesson is that the entity better have some damn good employer health insurance and I should take physics

Holy ######### this actually helped me a lot, but you could be wrong. But I took that answer and put into a calculator according to the calculator it is 193.74035 pounds of force which honestly doesn't seem to be a lot. But that would be roughly around A sledge hammer is my guess

  • @Hoodied said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2125347#Comment_2125347

I'm not the best at math so if I give you any numbers be careful with them as they can be wrong

I converted it to meters as meters is what DBD uses (Meters per second) and due to the pallets dropping in one second, i'll use both 1 inch and 2 feet

Judging by me using crude math that probably is wrong, if it moves and inch it is gonna be 0.0254m/s and if it moves about 2-3 feet its either 0.6096-0.9144 m/s (Take this with a grain of salt, this is not my forte but I am giving it a shot)

I'll have to look this over tonight thx tho

  • @Hoodied said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2125327#Comment_2125327

Thats a good question as I don't walk around in real life chuckin pallets at people, so I can't help as I am not good at assuming acceleration, but all I see is the pallet falling really fast

I looked up a video I got one second Now I just need to know the distance I would guess maybe an inch or two three feet

  • @Hoodied said:

Imagine it sort of like this

You throw a very heavy item down onto someones head, the response will usually result in them feeling alot of pain, so if you hit someone in the head with a board the response will usually be the same, upon looking it up pallets (in real life) weigh from 30-48 lbs, meaning dropping that on someone's head by simply pulling it in the way the survivors do will result in it well...stunning them

Yeah I saw that, but I also realized on the pallets there is a large metal square and two bars which adds to the additional weight plus how fast/acceleration does the survivor throw down the said pallet

  • @Kirkylad said:

You say he doesn't fit, I say he does fit. What point do I need to address lol, the fact you don't agree with me? It's an opinion everyone is entitled to their own and can agree to disagree. Nemesis had a Gatling gun and can use that in the game and have to hit so many shots like trickster does, or I'm sure there are other ways he can be implemented into the game.

Buddy no offense but why would he use a gatling gun, you wanna another trickster, I sure as hell don't, plus I can't imagine him using a ranged weapon at all since it would be kinda boring, we have three killers hurt people from a far, SLinger, Huntress, and Trickster. I want to see something different in a killer rather then just something other killers do already.

The relief I felt when I killed Eveline was one of the most satisfying moments in my gaming history.

Oh god I ######### hated Madhouse, it was ridiculous. The hardest moment I would say when you are escaping the mines. Oh hell no, I'm so happy I finished it, and god... the reward was worth it, infinite ammo. I was able to use that to beat the game in four hours and get the glasses, and circular saw. I recently got the banned footage and my least favorite thing is 21. The RNG is just crazy, and it was starting to mind ######### me so hard. I enjoyed nightmare, it was fun to play it. I'm not saying he isn't scary. He simply isn't someone that long time players of the resident evil franchise think about over characters like nemesis and Mr X from the original games. They are better suited because it will be much more nostalgic for people who loved the series from day 1.

While I don't disagree I do believe Nemesis, and Mr.X are a lot more iconic then Jack, however I believe that the RE chapter should be for both modern and fans who have played since day 1. If the killer is Nemesis or Mr.X then we could have someone of the current timeline of RE as a survivor, or if the role is reversed where we do get Jack, then fans of old RE could get Chris and Jill as survivors. Hell they could add two killers and if Nemesis is one of them then the other could be Jack, or Birkin, or even someone else, we honestly don't know. It would be for both groups of fans and not just for one group of fans

@QwQw @Dabihwow Hey guys, this man says Jack isnt iconic so what do you guys say?

Oh boy... I know that's helluva statement, and rlly? Jack Baker is one of the scariest villains in RE universe to date, even rivalling that title with both Mr. X and Nemesis. He is the most charismatic villain which I like to see in villians as a whole. Papa Baker is also one of the most tragic of the bunch including Marguerite, and Zoe, except Lucas he got what he deserved. Point is Jack Baker is definitely a new face in the franchise but that doesn't mean he isn't scary he in fact was so beloved fans wanted to see future villains just like him, I think QwQw will have a lot more to say then I do

  • Silent Hill, for sure, it introduced me to such an intriguing series that, I kinda wish was still going to this day. Second place is gonna have to be Descend Beyond, It gave me a new main I enjoy to play, the only negative was that there wasn't new map

Third place: All Kill, as much as I think the idea of the new killer is interesting they barely put much effort to balancing him, and they missed an opportunity for a new map big time!

FOurth place: A binding of Kin, this is the worst chapter I've ever participated, it was buggy, and the Twins were an unfinished product

I wonder why Capcom decided to pick a random song about killing geese for their horror game about an infected evil family.

'Go tell aunt Rhody... Go Tell Aunt Rhody... Go tell Aunt Rhody... that the old grey goose is dead. The goslings are crying, the goslings are crying, the goslings are crying because their mommys' dead.'- Go tell aunt Rhody I hope this helped 😁

Was the clown doll a reference to Lucas's clown doll from RE7?

    No the baby geese

    Oh I liked this one.

I have to question all the weird fuckery going on though. Like the dolls and the human-baby-goose thing. Well I guess we'll figure all that out later.

You didn't even get the reference?

Other than issues with the spelling, grammar and punctuation, this is really good. Since those issues can easily be taken care of, I won't go into detail, but I will say you have improved a bit on the subject.

I really like the concept for the goose baby monster things. Ugly Ducklings, maybe?

Also, it was impossible for me to read that line, "Well, at least she was kinky about it," without imagining Elliot putting on sunglasses, doing fingerguns at "Julie," and moonwalking out of the room. It's funny, but it kinda brutally annihilates the tone.

Unless you wanted to break the tension in the middle of an action scene, I would suggest toning it down a bit. Like specifying him saying it breathlessly, as opposed to just casually commenting on the fact that the hot stranger he just met's skin melted off and she tried to stab him with a needle the size of a small space station, and upon being stabbed leaked a vomit-like substance and scuttled away hissing.

You generally don't just casually comment on situations like that. And, plus, it feels really OOC given his previous responses.

I've been wanting to do some illustrations for the books, but I don't really have a good mental image of Elliot. Do you think you can give me a detailed description of what he looks like?

I meant for him to sound tired I just didn't know what the word was for it

  • Well no but its how they eat, see they need to eat in order to produce the liquid that Julie used as a disguise, and since they have no bones they don't have any teeth to chomp at their food, they do however they have a acid released in their stomach in which... you get the idea. Dollatrix's don't mimic their actions exclusively to their victims
