Ahh I found it and like the idea a lot. I see people saying Legion is fine in there, and I wish I had what there were smoking. I wanna point out that with Legion's new vault speed and such, Survivors can loop them for AGES. Trust me, with Match making how it is, rank 2s have shown me that rather hard. I Am currently rank 10.
People who say Legion is fine simply don't want the old Legion back. To which I agree, but the new Legion needs buffs, desperately

I think you missed the part where a surviver have to heal themself from freenzy and then heal themself again so frenzy do actuely bring in some pressure
If you go against good they wont heal if you use freenzy so you got yourself some pressure right there :P
That doesn't make Legion boring to play and mediocre in their results. The power isn't scary at all, it is essentially borrowed time, the stun is ridiculous for a mediocre killer.
Legion needs to be rebuilt from scratch

I would rather them be a team Killer, the teaser image excited everyone and got our minds twisting into fantastical ideas of a cool multiple Killer, the name Legion made that solid. Then they gave us 1 Killer who was a human pinball with 4 different skins so yeah everyone would love Legion to be a real Legion.
Yes a team killer would be awesome, I wouldn't mind Legion to be mid tier as long as he is fun to play

I like this idea. Or the Ghost Face idea I had, which is "Get into one locker, step out at another one."
Not sure how a multi killer power would work though...
I made a post about this in the feedback section of the forum :)
-
Yes Legion is boring, unfun and mediocre.
Old Legion has been erased for good reasons and now we need something good.
I keep saying that the power should be around Legion being more than 1 killer and create a group dynamic.

is it really hard to counter 360s in ps4? cause mine never work more than once maybe and i know im doing it right cause it does work with some like low ranks or an unsuspecting killer
It's not difficult but inferior to a mouse. It would be nice to improve to a point where they are similar.

On Xbox. I recently switched from 80 to 100. I never really had a problem with 360's before, and now I almost never do. I also have an Elite controller and I made a setting where the right stick is set to "delayed" and adjusted the curve to basically be slightly lower than the "normal" curve. I notice that with this setup I have good fine control and good turn speed.
The only time I noticed I couldn't turn fast enough is when playing Nurse, but that has more to do with frame rate than actual turn speed because the game just gets really choppy when you blink. If they optimize the game and fix this I probably wouldn't have a problem here either.
That said, I do want more options for controls on console. I don't think we need high sensitivity, but we do need stuff like turn acceleration, dead zones, and such. That would help a lot more than just making the sensitivity higher, because all that does is make controls feel too slick and loose.
Yes I agree, if its not sensitivity it needs to have something to equal, as much as possible, a mouse.
I also play with an elite controller, I worked on the dead zones but it is still inferior to a mouse

No, hes being very elitist, implying that we, filthy console plebs, cant understand the struggle of losing one precious second to sensitivity because we haven't played with Mouse and controller.
Its a gate-keeping stance, period. We cant comment because we dont play like he does?
(Hint Hint, I have played both)
Secondly, the entire premise of needing to play both to understand how to counter 360s, is absolute bullshit. It's not hard to counter them, AS EVERYONE HAS SAID, yet he felt the need to put a disclaimer, pseudo defending his point before anyone could even make it.
Elitist, and gate-keeping, and now youre joining his ranks.
So sorry, Ill say it to you as well, try again hon, and try to do so with A- valid points, and B- an original line that wasnt JUST used, maybe?
Oh wait, original thought escapes these forums. My fault, I thought you were better than most.
Bye now.

Do you have anything to say about the topic?
Specifically why it shouldn't be a good idea to have better sensitivity?
I am really not interested in anything else but the topic of the post

I hope they do, I had a lot of fun playing as Legion before the nerf and never resorted to the moonwalking because it was cheap and I wasn't confident enough that I would be able to follow them that way anyway lol I don't have fun as Legion anymore, they feel way too slow like running through mud. I don't care they nerfed DW for Killer but that speed nerf was too much.
Eh I think the old legion upset too many survivors for the better or the worse.
And even if I also enjoined the old legion I would still prefer something based on them being a team. It could be good

My problem is that having a Killer's power effectively be just "Four* Extra Perks" and "run faster sometimes" does not seem very interesting. I am all for finding some way to incorporate multiple Legion members into the core gameplay, but I'd kinda want it to be more interesting than that, personally.
I like the idea of surprising the survivors with some unexpected combo between two chars. I think you can do some good plays.
With that said, I tried to work with what "could" happen rather than my dreams about legion.
By all means if you have good ideas on how to make legion a legion, please express them so we can discuss them.

@HatCreature said:
I guess people haven't seen mine so i'll post it here.
Legion starts out the match with no hood, mask, weapon, or TR and cannot attack until they activate Legion. Once they activate Legion they get all of those things back and can use FF, FF has their old speed and vaulting speed back but no longer causes Deep Wounds but instead only injures but cannot down. Killer Instinct is replaced with Auras.
Each member that you have is playable, you can switch and restart your cycle by going to a locker and exiting a different locker as another member who starts out with no hood, weapon, mask, or TR just like before until you activate Legion again. This cycle can happen up to 4 times whether you own all 4 members or not.
FF has add-ons that can supply status effects such as the crap DW, Broken, the new Oblivious status coming, Blindness and so forth.
This version of Legion feels like 4 people, their stab is effective only with add-ons but that isn't saying much. They can see Auras in FF so they have synergy with their own perk Iron Maiden, if everyone knows they see Auras then they'll hop into a locker. The Deep Wounds is taken out of the base ability so no one has to deal with it, this does give that power less viability and usage but it is replaced with their stealth ability so now they have more going for them overall. They're fast like they were before and since DW isn't in their base ability they can stab you as much as they want in FF without penalty, UNTIL they use an add-on to give their FF a status effect then if they miss they break out of FF like they do now.
That's also good, very consistent with the promo material shown.
Hopefully they will do something so legion is actually a legion

Honestly legion is fine . I just wish they would take away the lose power from M1 hits and misses. There was no need for the change. It’s a non lethal ability meaning you can’t down anyone with the ability itself. So there’s no need in giving the power so many drawbacks. I promise you doing this will make so many legion players happy.
Legion is not fine, they are boring and underperforming, but more importantly they need to be a group, that's their true nature.

I'll send it to your profile, so no one here would see off topic links (even though it is in topic technically)
Regarding the cooldown, I very much doubt it can be abused with how you say they start off in Feral Frenzy and that they can't attack while using it. What you described was them making smart plays, and keep in mind a locker isn't always close by, switching would be a mistake most of the time, especially giving survivors ample time to coordinate if they are smart.
Thank you for explaining though :) I can certainly get behind something like this.
I agree with you :) and you know survivors will always complain hahah
Thanks :)

@Shad03 said:
While the idea is... Okay, why not all gour members? Susie and Joey need love too ;3;
I am also confused why the cooldown is so long, when it basically means nothing in the long run, and how would we determine who the second member is, what petks are picked, etc.
Otherwise, I like the idea and it would certainly make the Legion unique.
Also, I had a similar idea like this, it's been lost to time however. If you are interested I can send you a link in your profile.
Sure send away!
I didn't include Susie and Joey because they are extra skins so not everybody has them, but if you do you can use whatever Legion member you desire.
The cooldown is long because I don't know if it can be abused in any way, but it can be reduced.
As for the perks, when you load-out your primary Legion you load-out also your secondary one.
So Let's say you start with Frank (your main) with ruin, corrupt, thanatophobia and pop to maximise gen regression
and you can switch to Susie (secondary) with BBQ, Enduring, Bamboozle and brutal strength to optimize your chasing potential.
These two are already loaded in when you log into the game.
I feel there needs to be a cooldown to avoid using Susie to down a survivor and then switch to Frank to activate pop and then back to Susie to chase again. With some cooldown you cannot do this too fast.
Unfortunately if we make this too strong survivors will start to DC and we are back to square 1

I don't have a problem with catching 360's on PS4 but I do understand the frustration of low sensitivity on console.
Going from playing DBD to a game like warframe and my stick sensitivity feels horrible! I really do wish they would double what they have now for the sensitivity side, not necessarily for the 360's but because it is in generally too slow.
You are right, of course you can do it, it is simply way better on a mouse.
And it's not a matter of the machine because using a mouse on console gives you the same results.
It's the sensitivity that is lacking and underperforming
-
@Raven014 said:
I usually don't have a problem with this... but then again, I haven't gone against many 360s. My advice is if you know a survivor is going to 360, just wait until they circle close then quick hit them instead of lunging.
Have you guys read the first post?
I know how to counter 360s, you wait and hit but that makes you waste time, time you wouldn't waste on a mouse.
Play mouse and controller then express your opinion please

I'd volunteer to remain at rank 20 and play fair. I would hold myself back. No perks, or addons either. I'd love to help people if I were given the chance.
Same here, I like to play to relax and have fun, I'd love mentoring
-
We need tutoring killers who play fair for new survivors to learn the ropes of the game before entering the world of tunnelling.
We also need tutoring survivors who don't mock you, flash light spam etc
A new player should be able to access this tutoring mode for the first 15/20 levels of the game so they can learn.
I would volunteer as tutoring killer

I’m not buying a keyboard and mouse just because you think 360’s are uncountable.
Can you not pollute my post with these statements that I had already addressed in my opening post?
If you have never tried the difference between the two and the time loss of a controller maybe you are not the correct person to comment on something you haven't personally experienced

I saw somewhere that the ps4 recognizes usb mouse and keyboards natively... do they work for dbd?
That's something I haven't tried, it may work although my point is more for a casual game where I don't want to setup specifically for dbd.
I think the solution should be an in game one, like 200% sensitivity built in or reduced spin speed
-
@GrootDude said:
I use a controller and can still counter 360’s by following them, try increasing your sensitivity.
Sensitivity is at 100%,and this argument has already being excluded from the topic. Play with a mouse and see it for yourself, you need to waste some time with the controller as opposed to the mouse. The difference is noticeable even at top sensitivity, so somethibg needs to be done

If you own hag, there's no reason to not level her up with the BP and just getting ruin that way.
Iridescent shards are much more difficult to come by than blood points and can help your purchase DLC for free. This is especially so, with a 2x BP event starting next week.
Yes that's true, but my point is my sister doesn't play killer at all, and money are not an issue for me so we buy dlc with money.
But yes, I think BP is probably faster
-
Understood, thank you folks.
Yes I own hag, I guess my biggest question now is, what is faster?
-
Yes I was thinking the same, my only point was that it seems that getting it via shrine would require much more work, no?

It wouldn't be enforceable. I could say, "Yeah, I'll play nice." and then camp and tunnel people game after game. You would need someone to monitor each game and make sure that nobody's breaking the rules, which just isn't realistic. Beyond that, I do feel like it would be a little degrading for the new players. They would know that the only reason why they're winning is because the killer's going easy on them.
RE: A casual mode.
It's a lot more complicated than it seems. Most games have a hidden rank behind the scenes in their quickplay/casual modes (e.g. Overwatch). This is so even if you don't want to take the game super seriously, you at least have a close match. To put it bluntly, sticking anyone against anyone wouldn't work. If I'm a new player and I click casual instead of competitive (as you would likely do) only to get matched up against a really good killer or really good survivors, that's a fast way to turn people off of the game for good.
And as a result, that's more than likely what would happen. Good players who want to bully new players for easy wins would play that mode, new players would pick it thinking that's the place for them, then leave the game with a bad taste in their mouth.
You would need some sort of ranking system- even if it is behind the scenes- to make sure that the matches are at least somewhat fair. But at that point it's no different than what the game is now.
Thank you for your answer, although I don't see the situation in a "coaching mode" to be difficult to pull off. The moment you sign in as a killer you are presented with a list of rules and you need to click accept to join the mode. Once that is done if you break the rules you can be reported and punished.
As for players feeling offended of an easy win, this would be a training mode, they are supposed to win or at least perform well.
An alternative could be having killers apply for a fair killer badge which allows them to help new players get into the game.
I understand all of this require work on your part but it is currently so hard for new players to pick up the game. Something is needed
-
I think there should also be a "coaching mode" where experienced killers agree to play against new survivors following a code of conduct decided by bhvr.
I mainly play killer and try to help everyone having a good time and earn lots of BP.
Imagine a game mode where you are a newbie learning the maps and loops and the killer agrees to rules like:
No camping
No tunnelling
No slugging
Always try to double hook people so everyone can make saves
When you see you are winning too hard move away and let them recover a bit
And so on
I mainly play like this anyway and I would be down to help with some training wheels before survivors are released in the real world.
I'm sure other killers would agree too.
Obviously this game mode would be limited to let's say 30 exp levels of a new account or so.
@Peanits would this be doable?

I agree what you mean and I am not supporting toxic gameplay but this billy for an example had a ebony mori and already moried someone and he tried to tunnel my newbie friend right after the unhook (thanks to borrowed time he survived the tunnel and could hide). He even ignored me when I bodyblocked him for over a min because he was so focused on my friend. Thats not how to "learn or adept" if you bring a ebony mori and instantly tunnel everyone from the hook.
So i decided to be toxic aswell. I am not usually toxic but if a killer wants to be toxic then I dont mind to bully him back. Thats my opinion atleast^^
Yes, if that's the case I think your reaction was legit.
My point was not to destroy someone weaker because it's really frustrating when you are in the receiving end
-
I agree that a casual mode should be present where you filter out the toxic people who want to win no matter what.
But in your case, why would you run am inferior killer for five gens? You were clearly superior, what was the point of humiliating an inferior opponent?
I am not a king looper, I am OK and still when I see I am running a killer who is clearly less skilled I make some mistakes to be caught.
It is a horrible experience to be bullied by someone better than you or with more experience. If you play at lower ranks try to adapt your plsystyle to the level of skill of your opponent so they won't have a terrible time.
Behind the killer there's a human being, once it's clear that you have thr upper hand be a gentleman.
Regards
-
I agree, I am absolutely sure it is a matchmaking move not a question of numbers.
I think the matchmaking is rigged against killer to favour survivors and reduce lobby dodging.
Survivors didn't like lobby dodge?
Devs acted in a way where killer have to wait before creating a lobby to reduce dodging.
That's my opinion

@Divinitye9 said:
Can we just go ahead and say that Legion sucks? At least be happy the normal movement speed got boosted, otherwise a Hag speed after a 4 second stun would be even worse.
You are absolutely right, legion needs buffs
-
@Jago said:
Because Legion is meant to hit multiple people with feral frenzy and dont have a reload cooldown on successful hit. Plus you can read auras when you hit someone with it. If you're lucky enough you can make 3 or 4 injured people in less than 30sec.
Nonsense to compare it with the nurse s fatigue.
OK this post makes me realise you don't play legion, there are many imprecisions :
1 legion's power is meant to be used as you need and it is often impossible to hit multiple survivors with ff due to the enormous size of the map. In this scenario, it doesn't make sense for the legion player to blindly run looking for another survivor because ff will run out before finding one. It is much better to di down who you have there to create pressure.
2 killer instinct is not aura reading, it does give an indication but since the nerf, it is sometimes confusing and makes it difficult to track survivors who are moving.
3 ff is a non lethal power, it is just a mere nuisance and the band aid fix of it not working in the tr makes it a joke since survivors can work on gens while around them.
So all in all,
Maps were designed in a way where ff is not thst useful when survivors are spread out. Good survivors are
Killer instinct is not a good tracking tool anymore since the nerf
Legion's power is weak and its made even weaker for the fact that instead of fixing the exploits like the moonwalk, it is now made into a large bt effect.
There's no sense for the stun to be this long and the screen go black
-
I do the same, in many games when I see I am winning I try to double hook and let them go.
When I slug them not to kill them, some appreciate, some are annoyed. But that's survivors for you, whatever you do its annoying, for some even farming...
-
Because the devs have clearly shown that balance must be survivors side, and removing this tiles by adding a damn door would create a thunderstorm.
At the same time the priority is money, thus map redesign is not a priority.
That's also the reason why it's taking so long to fix them, the illusion if doing something but practically not enough to upset survivors
-
Jason and Tommy jarvis, map cristal lake
The night king and John snow, map a version of Mount ormond with the wall behind
-
I will burn my 100 gateaux to help new players with BP, not everyone is a d**k
-
As a killer main, I agree with sutvivors dcing during the loading screen with mori and black ward. They are unnecessary to the game.
At the same time I fully support the killer lobby dodging to avoid toxic games.
This games doesn't need more toxicity
-
I haven't played killern six weeks, I am back at rank 17.
I will make sure to burn lots of my 100 gateaux on my Spirit so new players can get lots of blood points.
Then, unless they act toxic, I will double hook them and then let them leave so we can all score 20k *2 BP.
Just to help new people with the insane grind :)
-
Decent tracking perk, under performing for what it was designed, slowing down the game
-
Nothing odd with that hit, you were close enough for the lunge to hit you, next time hug the wall while looping
-
2 survivors are stronger, they bring more money
-
I agree, ruin is a Necessity because the game is stupidly unbalanced.
It is the usual bandaid to bypass the need of reworking survivors' objectives.
It is also frustrating to verse as survivor when you cannot find it quickly and frustrating for killers when it's found too quickly.
It's a lose-lose situation.
If survivors had a compulsory second objective to elongate the matches, ruin could be erased
-
They are called the legion, not the runners or the borrowed timers.
Their power should revolve around being more than one, not just running with a useless power

I wouldn’t say no to a base change FoV for all killers but for me it’s funny that I can play Freddy just fine with base FoV because of how short he is.
Every killer has differing TR, M/S, and Height, so why can’t there also be individualised FoV for each killer? Particularly the taller killers?
Yes, I mean we should have a human like fov where by looking straight ahead you can perceive someone crouching close to you.
A narrow fov was designed for a stealth based game, but since now it's a super Mario kart simulation we shoukd be able to see at least like a human, or even as you said in third person

Yeah shadow born is a saver, tbh it should be base kit for killers.
It really infuriates me that I cannot use my character to thr fullest because I cannot see.
Fixing the fov for killers would be my favourite desire in dbd

It’s just yet another example for me personally that enforces my feelings that either both sides should be 3rd person, or both sides should be 1st person.
If I’m being screwed over by blind spots, the survivors should be too.
Or give killers better situational awareness by putting them in 3rd person too. Might ease the burden of going against super sweaty adrena-squads, plus we get to admire our cosmetics all match instead of the beginning of a trial.
Absolutely, the killer fov is simply ridiculous. Its like they are trying their hardest to hinder the killer.
How in the hell it's OK for survivors to disappear from my fov when walking close to me.
I despite it!
