Totally feel you! I never prestiged my 2 main characters because I didn't see the point of losing everything & starting over for some bloody clothes. I have sunk years & millions of bloodpoints into those 2. Granted, I didn't have EVERY perk in the game, but I had a lot of them, as I also sunk tons of bloodpoints into getting the teachables of other survivors and grabbing shrine perks. Those 2 had every single perk I had unlocked maxed out at T3. Now they're P2 with T2 teachables? #########?
And how is having to level each character 150 times (if you want T3 teachables) "less grind"?
I've bought every DLC & plenty of cosmetics for those 2 as well. Feels like a slap in the face & I think I'm over it. I can play other games with less grind that are less toxic & less frustrating than getting tunneled & camped constantly.
Exactly! That’s my exact thoughts. It’s making me want to take a break from playing. I sunk an EXTREME amount of bloodpoints into a character that ends up being less level than a character I just purposefully choose cheap items and prestiged 3 times. I don’t care about the excess amount of bloodpoints I’ve spent on that character but I feel like my grind to get every perk on a character maxed out is the same (probably wayyyy more) amount of bloodpoints spent as getting a character to P3 so why is my “prestige catch up” level less??
the p3 people got cool background on their character portraits, the least we can get is the same amount of levels for our hard work

Nope; check yourself before you wreck yourself. :) What the Killer decides to do is irrelevant. What the Survivors do in response is what drives matches. There is only one Killer and four Survivors. If someone is on the hook, at least two (if not all three) should be slamming Generators and getting a read on what the Killer is doing. It is basic math. Otz did a video a while back and I don't think the basic truth he stated has ever been changed or refuted. One Survivor must be on a Generator at all times. If at least one of you is always on a Generator, you are likely to win. Three people idiotically moving to the hook is tantamount to doing hook suicide for the match.
It doesn't matter if the Killer camps, tunnels, slugs, or nods at you with glee. All of those are simply tactics in the match and really not your place to judge. Rant to your hearts content but nobody cares. The only thing of importance from a Survivor perspective in that match is how they respond to it. It suffices to say what they did was the worst possible choice. Over my years of reading posts on this Forum certain patterns have become painfully clear. People like to blame everyone but themselves for their failures. They don't take ownership. That isn't how you improve. It isn't how someone in the real world earns an Olympic Gold. You embrace your failures and learn from them. You learn more, in fact, from failure than you do success.
What does complaining about the Killer here get you? You might get a few sympathetic Likes from other people unwilling to accept their own responsibilities. You might even get some people chiming in with self-righteous indignation. Other than that you get nothing. You get worse than nothing really because you are lying to yourself. You are avoiding taking steps that will make you a better player. When I lose, "I" lost the match. I take credit for that loss just as I would joyously take credit for the wins. I analyze what I did wrong and what I did right. I don't care what the other guy or gal did. Your motives are unknowable to me and thus moot.
Obviously you don’t know how to read.. his original post says “don’t let me see you near the hook or I will camp it. Learn to hide nearby and then go for the save when I leave” but he had 0 intentions on leaving to begin with. So my point is that the survivors saying “people like you ruin the game” is true as he is just a camping killer. Whether or not they did gens and got 5 gens done, he still ruined the game for that 1 person on hook. So he comes to the forum to complain about the survivors but in reality the survivors were 100% right the whole time and he’s trying to make excuses as to why he camped “I saw the whole team there” but he only saw the Claudette and didn’t pursue her after hitting her. I know how to play this game I’ve played it for years. It’s honestly like I’m explaining this to a 10 year old

Wrong. The survivors screwed up by camping the hook and the killer capitalized on their mistake. They shouldn't all have been going for the rescue. They also shouldn't have made it blatantly obvious they were waiting for him to leave. Had they actually performed stealth and hid themselves. The killer probably would have left to continue applying pressure. Play killer before trying to tell other killers how to play.
Go and read all his comments before using your smart remarks acting like you’re good. You probably also camp lmfao. He saw one person run to the hook when he was right there and instead of chasing her after he hits her doesn’t proceed to run after her and hit her again. He proceeds to camp again, and then complains that the survivors complain that people like him ruin games but then says “he wouldn’t have started to camp if he didn’t see them all by the hook” but not one sentence coming out of his mouth proved otherwise. He camped because he wanted to, and camps a lot. So the survivors he’s complaining about were actually right, he’s the type of people that ruin the game. So again tell me how I am wrong and you’re right lmfaoo. Not gonna answer a troll

They didnt do any gens and let the person go to struggle, they had in the first 3min of the match a survivor on last hook which I just tunneled out and then everyone died with 3 survivors alive at 4 gens. They shouldve split and do gens and maybe not stand next to me on the hook and stare at me.
I went back to the hook cuz I saw the second I left like 2 stebs away from the hook a claudette running instantly to the hook, ofc I am going back xD
So let the person be camped and die? He’d be proving their point even more.. plus He’s complaining that they said he camped but he literally just said that he took 2 steps and saw a Claudette go for save, so I’m sure he got a hit in on her since he was right there and instead of chasing her because she injured getting her down and taking away a hook state on her he instead proceeds to camp claiming “the whole team was there” but at this time only saw the Claudette. Just seems like a bunch of excuses for why he camped

Standing very obvious openly close to the hook and expect me to just leave for no reason?
I had a game where the ENTIRE team stood next to the hook everyone staring at me.
They all complained at me and said ppl like me ruin this event bla bla. I tried to explain them to not stand openly next to the hook and expect the killer kindly to let you unhook and learn to hide close to it till he leaves. Ofc they didnt really engaged to that conversation and kept insulting me that I am a camper and have no skill etc.
I dont care about the insult and whining, I just cant get this in my head how ppl like this who obviously dislike camping alot dont do ANYTHING against that or try to play around it. They even feed into this camping playstyle and make it even easier for me to get kills like that.
you could’ve chased after one of them but instead you chose to camp.. probably ran after one for 5 feet and then went right back to the hook. They were right, you were camping.. what do you want them to do? Purposefully go across the map and hide in a corner so you can feel better about leaving the hook meanwhile the person on hook goes to 2nd stage/dies? You camped

So basically I'll be miles into my prestige without actually having to do it? Nice!
Considering you can get 2 perks per web and theres 3 tiers to each perk iv done a stupid amount of bloodweb to get everything on everyone lol
Yes if you have every perk unlocked and maxed out on a character, with how many perk tiers you’ve unlocked you should be prestige 3 level 50. Don’t think they’ll let you automatically go higher than P3 50

Like if I have never prestiged Doctor but put 100 Bloodwebs of levels into him, does that carry over or is it only levels after P3 or is it not at all/I am trippin'?
@Akumakaji said:
Yes. They probably assigned a worth to each bloodweb level, look at your total BP spend and hand out your P-level and new BP level accordingly. After lvl 50 there will now always be a mandatory prestige node, so you can only ever go forward (presumable until P100).
It’s based on how many perk tier levels you have. Then that’ll be added to your level/prestige. Don’t think it’s based on how many bloodwebs you’ve done unfortunately

You just sound like someone who play killer for archives and during event.
if the survivor is running to a window they arent using borrowed time to body block a hit for another survivor so what you just described is you tunneling a survivor. YOU are the type of people the devs were trying to stop with this update. Guess it’s working. Sorry your non skilled ways to win won’t work anymore. Thanks for proving my point even more

First you are a bit confused. I am not talking about the "Freebie" where everyone gets 5 seconds of endurance. That by the way is a HUGE direct buff to survivors because it guarantees the chase from an unhook will last +5 seconds.
Look at what BT does right now and compare what BT will do after the changes. Look at say Iron Will and Spine Chill pre/post changes. See a difference? BT becomes a stronger perk and IW/SC were completely gutted and nerfed.
BT will become even more meta than it is right now because 15 seconds of 7% speed will have a massive effect on preventing tunneling.
im not confused though lmao. The devs didn’t want killers to camp and tunnel so why would they nerf the perk that directly prevents killers from tunneling? lmfao

get screwed out of the special reward.
Special reward? Sorry, what special reward? An icon in the endgame screen? Are you mad?
You thought that an exclusive free skin was not enough to make you prestige but a slightly different icon in the endgame screen does the deal for you? I'd like to hear the reasoning behind that
If anything you should feel relieved that you're getting all the stuff that came with prestiging without any of the downsides. Think about all the event items and offerings you still have, think about all the bloodpoints you didn't waste and then compare them to a slightly different icon
While I haven’t seen the p3 icon reward, I do hope it’s pretty cool. But I’m here to say that nobody forced you to prestige your characters, they literally gave you a warning saying that you will lose everything on that character. They don’t owe anything. I have a couple maxed out p3 characters with every perk on them and a couple non prestiged characters with every perk on them. I don’t feel like I wasted my bloodpoints or anything on them because I accepted the fact that I would be losing stuff on those characters. And like somebody else said, they can’t just make the rewards extremely cool because everybody will try to get them therefore totally disrespecting the people that chose not to prestige their characters and unlock a bunch of items on them by making them lose an extreme amount of items, etc. But people who did prestige were warned. And you’re lucky, while I do have some characters p3 I don’t really have my mains p3 (besides kinda 1 but I only use sometimes). While you people may think it’s not that cool, it still is a limited time special reward that I wish I had on my mains but I’m not losing all my stuff to prestige them

The entire thing about DS is that you can't do certain actions (like healing yourself) so why can inner healing still heal someone with DS and have DS be active?
So because somebody runs inner strength and also doesn’t want to be tunneled so they run DS. That person gets unhooked and tries to hide from the killer, but they can’t go hide from the killer in a locker because it’ll deactivate their DS? It’s simple dude, if somebody goes to heal themselves in a locker some point after they get unhooked they aren’t near you chasing another survivor right? They have to wait in that locker for 8 seconds let alone spend time going to the locker. You are just simply asking “why can’t I do anything to tunnel this guy?” Just don’t go and follow him to the locker to tunnel him?

some of you people that say this are just so ridiculous. If somebody is literally body blocking you in a doorway either wait the couple seconds for BT to expire and down them and tunnel them if they want to act like that. Or just hit them to proc BT and chase them again and kill them. Or if it’s end game just wait out BT and down them and you get a free kill with new update. It’s like you guys love to complain. How about instead of complain about a healthy perk you start making threads complaining about killers who camp and tunnel which caused this game to bring in a perk like borrowed time instead?

no because i'm right... adrenaline? same as before. dead hard? reworked, stronger in some situations, worse in others. prove thyself? same. BT? BUFFED. unbrekable? same as before. IW? slightly nerfed. you even gain new meta perks like off the records and overzealous
Why would adrenaline get nerfed when they didn’t need the actual effect of NOED? BT was actually nerfed by 2 seconds but they added a baseline BT. This update was also to “prevent camping and tunneling” so why would they need something that prevents that? The only reason why somebody would want it nerfed is because you camp and tunnel. And why would they need unbreakable? It’s not an OP perk, it’s the only real perk to prevent slugging. Otherwise you sit there on the ground for 3 minutes. Plus it’s only used 1 time a match. That seems pretty balanced to me

What's wrong? Try to play a match with spirit aganist 4 IW users who know what they are doing, then come back to tell your experience... You'll quickly see what's wrong when certain perks can literally nullify the killer's power...
i just played a match yesterday where I was using lucky break against an oni. He kept losing me and finding me literally seconds later because of my blood orb trail. Plus the doctor can do the same thing with his huge blast/making tier 3 survivors scream automatically. Im sure you’re not against that though right? Only the survivor side is the one that’s wrong?

BT needs to be weaker if it's going to get a nerf. What you posted as a preliminary change makes it stronger than it is now.
the devs said that this was also and “prevent camping and tunneling update”. Borrowed time isn’t an OP perk and the new update to “baseline borrowed time for 5 seconds” can be easily waited out. Why keep complaining about something that’s useful to healthy gameplay..

@ArchAbhor said:
I debated on whether or not I should do this but I think that there were a bunch of unnecessary changes. Some inoffensive perks were completely gutted. For the record I think most of it was A+ great changes. I just have some concerns
The killer buffs were completely warranted to bring good balance to the game so long as some of the scummy killer tactics were deincentivized. You made a section about camping and tunneling and didnt even address camping. I mean at all. Which is bizarre to me. To top it off your fix for tunneling was basekit bt for 5 seconds. 5! A killer who is going to tunnel waited out 12. Just in case they had bt. Not because the survivors actually had it just because it was so common. I hope I'm wrong and the the changes are everything you hope they will be but as it stand I dont think camping and tunneling were addressed at all.
On to perks. Which I feel like maybe some of these were done the way they were to force players to use other perks. So with that taken into consideration I'm moving on with the intention of still making them good but not meta. If bhvr's intention was to just make people not run certain perks so be it but I'm going to suggest changes that will still make some of them viable still if I have ideas. Otherwise I'll just give opinions. Also I'm ok with a bunch of the gen def perks getting gutted so long as the killer buffs make them not necessary like they intend.
BBQ- The aura reading isnt that good and countered heavily by lots of other perks or just getting into a locker. I would suggest maybe making the aura reading better? Or add a different effect entirely otherwise i dont see this perk being used anymore.
Ruin- I'm going to say this about all hexs. They should have small residual effects after the hex is gone. They are gone to fast to justify what little they do. Now with these nerfs More then ever. I dont see anyone running it anymore.
Pop- I'm actually ok with this.
Corrupt- Same
Tinkerer- This is one of those non offensive perks I was talking about. With the regression perks being nerfed I dont see it as necessary, but I acknowledge that I can be wrong on it.
NOED- I am biased and hate noed lol so anything to nerf it is a positive to me. I still think it should have been reworked to have a healthier effect though.
Pain resonance- I'm not sure how I feel about this one. I think the info was more valuable then the regression. I get not being able to pair it with dms anymore but why not light the gens aura up to know which one was effected?
DH- I'm going to wait till ptb to see if it was buffed or nerfed. I'm leaning to nerfed but people are making good arguments as to how it can be seen as a buff. Which imo DH needed a nerf.
DS- Another that was gutted and I have no Idea why after it was already nerfed to healthy spot. This coupled with the whole camping and tunneling section. Really confuses me. I think DS was fine
BT- I'm of the controversial opinion that it should have just been basekit and then make the perk do something else. Obviously giving it to all unhooks that way would need to be monitored for issues but 5 seconds is seriously nothing. Also can be wrong on this one. Ptb could come around and 5sec might be just fine.
IW- I think this is a good change.
Self care- Gutted an already bad perk imo, and I think its because you dont want it coupled with COH? if thats the case i think its a bad change.
Spine Chill- I think the only thing anyone ever complained about was the fact it could track undetectable killers. Outside of that it was relatively inoffensive. Now with even the vault speed gone. It is completely gutted and I think will never see use.
Overcharge- Very interesting change. I'll have to wait till ptb to see how powerful it is.
Eruption- Any buff to it is welcomed it was kind of a dud on release imo
Knock out- I find this to be an odd choice considering that it will only hurt soloq
Coulrophobia- I think this is a neat idea
Dark devotion- I've thought it should have been like this since its release
Jolt- Another neat change
Lethal Pursuer- Big fan of it not being useless outside of the start of the match. Underrated perk imo
Gift of pain- I'm ok with this
Thana- same
Monstrous Shrine- I also think that this is make your choice camping bait. I think this perk could turn out to be a problem especially since the survivor objective is longer now.
Calm Spirit- I dont think opening things slower is warranted. They are already giving up a perk slot for it.
Sabo- neat change
Botany Knowledge- Another odd change.I'm not sure how effective it will be though.
Off the Record- Wow 80 sec is a long time. Weird how you gave this perk DS's other use. Might be why you took it away from ds.
Lucky Break- I like this change
Pharmacy- same
Sole Survivor- same
Distortion- same
Lightweight- same
Deja Vu- I'm always hesitant when perks affect gen speeds, but maybe it being 90 sec now it wont be that big of a deal.
No One Left Behind- Sure, I still wont use it. Its one of those perks that its a gamble wether or not itll even see use in the match. Which I'm not a fan of.
Dark Sense- A good change
Tenacity- same
Hope- same but I'm a bit concerned with all this haste going around now.
Overzealous- I dont like perks that effect gen speeds like this, but I guess its a gamble.
WGLF- See you gave this perk an additional effect. Why not bbq too? That being said it makes soul guard even less appealing then it already was.
Overall very good changes minus the tunneling and camping ones. Thanks for reading
serious question. Why do you think new iron will is fine? It was gutted just like the other ones you thought were gutted. I’m totally fine with it being 75% reduction, that’s a good nerf but the “deactivated when exhausted” part? That just seems ridiculous to me. Literally can’t use it with basically any exhaustion perk. Sprint burst is activated immediately, lithe is usually used towards the beginning of a chase (plus that’s the whole point of running lithe+ iron will. To run away and have the killer have a harder time finding you. But that’s not possible lol) same with smash hit, etc.

BT has been considered one of the best perks in the game for literal years fam. It's used in every single tournament match and is far and away one of the most used perks in the game because — at least in the current meta — tunneling is basically a requirement if you're not playing Nurse or Blight with good add-ons.
youre right but saying it’s used in a tournament match doesn’t mean much. The biggest reason it’s used in tournament matches is because tournament killers tunnel people so they get them out of the game fast as possible to insure the win by insuring there are less survivors. So survivors need to prevent that. But it Doesn’t necessarily mean it’s one of the best perks, etc

Simple... Second chance perks are becoming second chance ONLY perks... meaning intentional usage outside of intended purpose are going to get removed... quite simple really.
No more using Dead Hard to gain distance.
No more using DS to stun a killer in endgame rather than preventing tunnelling midgame.
If you have been excessively using a perk with your SWF friends outside of it's intended usage... YOU are to blame for the nerfs.
As someone who never liked DH or DS as a survivor and a killer who always experienced the perks being purely used to work in endgame with SWF's... i like the changes.... A LOT.
People moaning about the changes are the people who abused the perks... otherwise there is nothing to moan about 🤣
Do you even know what you’re talking about? Nobody is talking about abusing it. It’s currently a 5 second stun (which was buffed from 3) now it’s going back to 3 which is a major boost to killers that tunnel as those 2 seconds are a big difference.

Prestiging was always rewarded with the bloody outfits, so players who didn‘t prestige decide to not get this. Now you get the bloody outfits automaticly without have lost anything, so you are fine.
other players who grinds for the p3 have invest a huge amount of time and bloodpoints and have lost hundreds of items and addons inclusive eventitems from the past…
you don’t “automatically” get the bloody outfits. You have to get the characters to prestige 6 now which is literally double the bloodpoints spent compared to prestige 3. Even though they did/do keep their items they’re still spending a lottt more bloodpoints

The way wglf is now compared to bbq doesn’t really compare tbh. The aura reading on bbq is insane. But a healing speed bonus to a guy on the ground who is already 95% isn’t insane. So I do think it needed a slight bonus buff but bbq is good

Its beeing used in the upcoming patch rather careless and with way too long durations.
I wouldnt mind if this would be with one thing like only base borrow but we have now a lot of other sources with it like off the record or new borrow.
What I am saying is imagine you try to chase the person who just unhooked and now the unhooked guy with a 15 sec borrow just block you at a door, you literally cannot wait it out, 15 sec is way too much. Same goes to off the record ofc.
You are basicly forced to keep hitting ppl now which I get with the 10% reduced cooldown but idk its still gonna be alot of tanking now...
I would honestly like to see some kind of deep wound or more like mend nerf. Not increasing the mend time cuz thats boring but make staying in deep wound more risky. For example you are oblivious while you have deep wound.
Taking hits with endurance is way too easy especially with all the new and changed perks.
Maybe I am just thinking about this too much and maybe this wont happen too often but I have the feeling that this can be pulled off way too easily and often.
survivors can still do that with the current borrowed time..

But neiter Pebble, Fixated nor Urban Evasion were used in 30% something of all builds. They should regularly nerf and tune the perks that are most use and underused, just to keep the meta moving, like other games do it.
And I guess a lot of people don`t understand what "completely useless" means. A 75% sound reduction is already quite a lot and will ensure that the killer will most likely not hear you; BUT he has the chance, especially if you try risky plays like hiding behind them or something. "Completely useless" would mean that there were zero chance for any millage out of that perk, and I don't see it.
You are completely ignore the part of the perk description where it says “iron will is deactivated when exhausted”. Using sprint burst? Can’t use iron will. Using overcome? Can’t use iron will. You can use it a little bit with lithe but at some point you’re going to need to vault a window. And that could literally be at the start of a chase, without even getting injured yet. So yes, it is kinda “completely useless”

Low Effort.
Yeah, just:
- get a survivor to throw a pallet
- convince them to stay there instead of using the stun/delay to run to the next pallet
- get them to loop the pallet poorly
- secure 1 hit on them
- convince them to STAY there instead of using the speed boost of the hit to run to the next pallet
- And then you have 20 sedonds to chase them close enough that they have to Fast Vault (not slow or medium) the downed pallet
Oh man. SO EASY.
The perk would be garbage even if it didn't warn the survivors. The fact that it does is the final nail in the F-tier coffin.
youre right bro dissolution should just automatically cause no pallets to spawn on the map at the start of the trial. That sounds about where you’re going with this.
the point of dissolution is to help get rid of some pallets and end chases quicker. Not get rid of every single pallet on the map. If you think “hitting a survivor” is hard to activate the perk then maybe you should just practice playing killer a little bit more. Not every pallet will/should be hit with dissolution. Only the more unsafe ones. Unless it activated and you’re right behind the survivor again.
plus if the survivors don’t vault the pallet then they will have to loop it again and if they had enough time to loop it again, chances are they weren’t going to vault it in the first place, they would’ve looped it again anyway.
it sounds like it’s more you than the perk notifying a survivor

I consistely score less than survivors do in my games, this is simply messed up. Whenever I try to bring an anniversary offering I immediately get sweat squads who will loop me throughout the entire game while the rest of the team keeps splitting gens to finish them as quickly as possible. The result might be a meager bp reward for everyone but I'm the one who especially suffers from this since survivors still get 5000 bloodpoints for free after escaping.
Even if we disregard events and their nature as a whole we still have to consider the hardships casual style killerplayers like me have to endure. I don't bring meta perks into my games nor do I play the best possible killers, I am simply playing the killers I genuinely like and choose perks which highlight their playstyle. Sadly survivors don't do anything like this at all, they rather bring the same 3-4 perks into every single match and deny me the ability to enjoy the game at all by playing as dirty as possible. There's literally no room for players like me.
There should be a serious discussion about compensation here. Right now playing as a m1 killer feels like an extremely ungrateful job with meager income and no paid vacation days. There should be an union to combat this type of exploitation.
yeah, typically killers score more than survivors, wayy easier. The killer can end the game in 2 minutes with survivors attempting on hook and purposefully dying on hook, and the killer just downed everybody once because the survivors threw themselves at the killer and the killer still will get 26k for basically doing nothing. It’s one of the things I complain about once in a while. “How did that killer get so much bloodpoints?! What did he even do?? He was so bad he couldn’t even down us in a chase, my teammates just threw themselves at him and he gets double our bloodpoints but if we were to do gens quickly in leave within 2 minutes we wouldn’t even get 18k!”

For me it's Predator, perk simply increases the frequency of scratch marks left behind by sprinting survivors. I just feel like it could use some loving being the fact that I've only seen it used once or twice, besides the fact that out of Wraith's perks, the only one I've seen used more than others is Shadowborn by Huntress players.
No mither (not that I ever use it or care for it but I feel like it’s more of a downside than an upside and I feel like it should be tweaked

They said "around 40 perks". Also not all perks can be in one patch.
I know that but they released the picture showing the perks they’re reworking (I posted it) so them not releasing in one patch doesn’t change much because they released info about which perks are being reworked

alright cool thanks

They are planning some kind of catchup system where people who didn't prestige will be given a number of prestige levels when the update hits. They mention it in the official news post
idk how it'll work or anything but maybe it'll go by how many teachables you got on a character

You'll be automatically prestiged under the new system but won't lose anything. Here's the blog post from the website about it.
Thank you guys!! I have been trying to find that for days and couldn’t and it was frustrating me lol. Thanks a lot for posting the link, I just read it.
quick question though (you guys probably don’t know because we weren’t given information yet) but in the post it says “based on how many tiers of perks you’ve unlocked” but I have leveled up 1 character a lottttt, I’ve had every perk maxed for a while and was wondering if I keep upgrading will I go up in levels/prestiges even more? Like since I have every perk max it sounds like I’ll be P3 automatically but since I’ve upgraded them sooo much more than just getting every perk (like 100 - 150 of every single item) will I become like P7 instead? Or do you think it’s only counting perk tiers according to the post
if nobody knows the answer to that question that’s fine, my main question was answered lol
