Yes removing those aspects would be a minor nerf but it could be buffed in other ways to compensate, like how DS is now counterable but also stuns longer.

Yet when I say it’s a nerf then I get it’s not a nerf post even with you just saying it would be a minor nerf and you have ppl talking about how ppl post without reading the topic. All I was pointing out is if it would get nerfed meaning not having anything added to buff it in other ways then other things would also need the same treatment. I also never said omg another nerf post or just do bones or any of the typical comments I stated I do bones and sometimes fail but ppl jump right down others throats when they don’t post the same things over and over and wonder why having a normal discussion doesn’t happen.

  • Changing anything in the game either buffs it or nerfs it and no one is talking about buffing it so it leans towards nerfing. You put a totem count on the screen yes that would be nice but then once all five are found swf or solo know to stop looking all together totem hunting buys the killer more time so would hurt the killer. Yes campers suck getting rid of noed wouldn’t stop camping would just make it so campers only use one hit down ppl so they still have their noed in a way and maybe bring in more moris. Anything you do towards noed to stop camping or make swf and solo which is what I mostly play would be making noed weaker hence nerfing it in a way.

  • I do bones if I fail to take out noed then to me at least that’s on me but even if I know they have noed I still try to rescue if another survivor is about to die. I gladly sacrifice myself to save another. The problem is if you want to nerf an endgame perk that you can counter then you’d also have to nerf survivor endgame perks that you can’t counter unless you have already killed them. I don’t use noed or perks for survivors that could be nerfed to even out any noed change but a few perks would most likely be changed for survivors where only one for killers would be.

  • I prefer them they have less hatchets most that use them can’t throw them and either keep chasing with none or stop to reload so I can get away. I avoid them in my bloodweb as I never use them even tho I ain’t the best. I get better when I make the game more difficult the ones who use them don’t seem as I’ve seen to get better at throws just seem to really on getting lucky or a survivor running straight.

  • Other survivors in my games their stupid mistakes kill me more than any one killer.

  • I don’t use it but don’t personally care if f ppl do use it. If you get me with it then I didn’t do enough totems I consistently do 2-3 per match. One would think with as many ppl who whine about noed and 3 other ppl in the game could maybe do the other two but that’s not always the case. Same reason I don’t complain about ppl running ds when I don’t use it especially since I don’t tunnel only slug if they purposely run in my way to try and make me hit them for their ds. Ppl can counter things in the game yet would rather complain about them daily use that energy to look for some bones which give you bps and by me always looking for them bones has saved my team multiple times from dh hurting us early as I took it out before it was fully charged.

  • Lol I hopped in there today injured but the killer was so far behind me I crouched in between the dresser and window and as soon as the killer came in I hopped out slowly behind him. I think much like me they didn’t realize it was a dead end.

  • Can all the survivors and killers who whine all the time be nerfed it’s kind of sad when the only reason to come to the forums as a slightly new person is to see what tears are coming out at that moment. It never changes whine about noed about ds about moris about keys. If it wasn’t for that I doubt any new posts would really be made.

  • So many ppl just make posts to cry ive been nothing but survivor today and still having fun. Instead of wanting nerfs and wanting whatever side you play to have more of an advantage just remember it’s a game have fun and stop crying over everything.

Now that you mention this. My boyfriend was playing a game where everyone escaped and he got stuck on a vault (on Hawkins).

possibly another glitch due to patching?

Never had that happen to me. I got stuck between the gen and the tired and junk beside it. Not good with map names but sucked I got killed when I hadn’t been hooked yet and that was the last gen and the killer saw I was glitched in the game.

possibly another glitch due to patching?

Never had it happen to me before not good with knowing maps but I got stuck in between the gen and the tires and junk beside the gen. I couldn’t run walk or put my toolbox down nothing. Only thing that I could do was get hit a few minutes later after everyone opened the doors and escaped. Kinda crappy the killer saw I couldn’t move hadn’t been hooked at all cause my horrible looping worked and they still killed me when they knew I was stuck.

  • I still do like 2-3 totems a game with no perks for it seems like my anti noed hasn’t been affected at all. I did get a bug however that got me glitched to the last gen done in the match couldn’t move until the killer finally came to get me after everyone else escaped. Maybe that’s the new noed buff lol.

  • I’ve had quite a few games with newer players in my party and yes I get matched up with killers mostly ranked close to them I’m a 7-8 range survivor and they were 19 and 20 and we got 17 ranked killers. I just take it easy and play more of a chilled game when I see the killer is obviously newer or at least newer to that particular killer.

  • That’s why you don’t hand them the kill in a way it shows them you did it on purpose you accidentally mess up a loop near the end. They will feel they got it based upon skill not letting you hand it to them. I have done it for killers and I also let survivors go if the team was playing good and they were close or I can tell the mm put me up against survivors that are no where close to me in rank. I’ve actually gotten a few messages from survivors thanking me for bein nice and added them to the game to play some with them and try to help them improve some.

  • Every perk in the game is a crutch perk cause they are all designed to help you do better at some point. Even the bp perks make you go for saves more or give you a reason not to just tunnel but hook everyone. So I guess if ppl think using a one shot down perk makes you a baby killer then any perk a survivor uses the helps them in chases or and kinda of insta heals they use make them all baby survivors. I don’t use noed cause it’s to easy to counter ppl who whine about it can’t just do bones cause well that’s beneath them for some reason and the half brain ppl that wanna insult ppl for using perks are just as baby or not skilled enough if they run any perks that help them out. Ppl whine way to much on these forums it’s about time they grow up some.

  • swf is even easier to do bones and keep track of them so maybe do bones I do them as solo and have no issues.

  • As someone who plays survivor more than killer and doesn’t run noed when I play killer i would say there’s nothing wrong with it. If it was a perk not a hex perk then yes it would be way to strong but the simple fact that you can break totems which in my view is another objective I should be doin as well as gens. Same reason I don’t complain about ds bt or any of the perks a lot of killers complain about because just like totems there are counters to this as well like not tunneling. If you couldn’t counter it at all then yes it would be op the reason I don’t think it would be worth running is because it can be countered so quick.

  • Yea I get them too on PS4 when I play killer. I laugh cause I don’t camp or tunnel and let them know I’ve drank a lot and you still lost and are mad maybe you just ain’t that good as I tend to drink when I play killer and just relax.

My tactic is applicable to more situations and is more efficient overall with good knowledge of totem spawns. However, cleansing dulls is efficient in some scenarios and should always be considered based on the current situation. Saying the counter to NOED is cleansing dull totems is just a false statement to me.

Yes we understand each other I went based on like the last sentence of this post where you said saying it was a counter is a false statement but yes there are many counters to noed. Sorry if I came off like a dick had a few drinks lol.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

Risking 70 seconds for a single instadown seems like a good gamble to me. How is cleansing dulls better than rushing gens?

Do you even read or just keep spouting out the same stuff. I never said one way was better than the other said you can’t say something is a counter when it clearly is. I gave you what I do totems so I can get points and helps ensure ppl being safe I guess you snuck an imaginary my way is better than yours into what I said I play for fun and to get points and help the team if noed will kill one person I can manage my time enough to help with totems. Gen rushing and not doing totems is also one reason ppl run noed and it works if your worried about the game ending that fast then I hope your not someone who complains about moris cause that’s much faster than taking time hooking everyone and not tunneling till you Mori everyone since that’s quicker for the killer. Btw I’ve seen one person go down from noed multiple times then it snowball to more than one insta down but your clearly stuck in defense mode to prove your way is better than anything else so it’s not worth even responding anymore.

However, cleansing dulls is efficient in some scenarios and should always be considered based on the current situation. Saying the counter to NOED is cleansing dull totems is just a false statement to me.

Your way might work as well but I’d rather just do totems when I see them and try taking out noed before it even hits. One noed down at the end of the game could lead to that person being death hooked when they could just escape after getting hit. Doing it right away gives me points and more things to actually do in game and helps keep survivors safe from noed causing a mass snowball of survivors goin down at the end. Btw you can argue you way works better all you want but saying the counter to noed being do totems is a false statement is ridiculous. You doin the totem after it hits is well you countering noed after it’s active and taking it out so either way a totem is a counter to noed not a false statement.

  • If you weaken or do anything to noed totems not lit up would be pointless to do. I do every totem I come across for points and to stop noed and I never get hit by it anymore I even look around gens that are done cause I know teammates don’t always do them. I keep count and count of broken bones I see around. If you messed with noed at all I guarantee things like ds bt and adrenaline would be hit by a nerf as a result to the point where adrenaline would completely change and bt and ds would be useless at end game. If they nerf what is an easy counter killer skill for end game the will nerf every survivor perk that could help at end game to adjust. I don’t use any of them so wouldn’t affect me.

  • Kindred wouldn’t be bad and would help solo survivors have more of a swf benefit and also not buff swf as they already know what they are doing and when I play killer I wouldn’t be mad about that. Self care would work as well nothing to game changing there. BBQ would be good but maybe make it so you only see the farthest person away from you or ppl still working on gens. You’d have to keep the bloodpoint gain or add it to a new perk as that’s the only reason I ever run bbq. If you keep the bloodpoint gain on it then maybe add a bloodpoint gain for kindred so the survivor on the hook ok gets a boost for not killing them selves and staying in the game longer and one for ppl goin to unhook like a 5-10 bonus as ppl can unhook a lot and survivors do get less bps than killers.

Yeah but its harder on switch because i keep queueing with the same killer like once a day because their arent that many on switch also I could do the bones but it wastes to much time and your not progressing farther in the game to do anything good and i can do it late game but the gens need to be finished

So you don’t wanna do totems cause they take to much time. They are supposed to take time it gives you the option deal with possible noed or do bones which helps slow the game down for the killer just a tad. Your counter to ds of just slug what is the next step after that oh that’s right wait until ds goes away a minute from the unhook time. So can’t do bones cause they take to long but counter to ds is wait hmmmmm.

  • I often go to try and break totems when I see them as a killer only to remember oh wait that’s not my job lol.

Perhaps I should have phrased it better. I usually slug for the 4th if I know the they are nearby. If I dont think they are, I then hook with BBQ or I'm doc and just shock. I dont keep them on the ground for 5 minutes if that's what it seemed. Slugging is only acceptable from strategic advantage. I try not leave any person down for longer than 30 seconds in case they're healed or they get up.

My point was I don’t see a reason to complain about something then state you do it even if it’s for strategic purposes. I realize that helps at end game and your free to do as you please but ppl will complain about being slugged at all and trust me I’ve seen how camping can be strategic in games as my teammates almost throw themselves at a killer as they camp until I’m the last one standing. So until survivors simply stop tryin to save when someone is camping then that’s also a strategy to use not a very good one in my opinion and camping I would assume has to be boring from a killers side but it does work. I don’t camp because I like the chase staying busy and usually have to many drinks in me to want to just watch someone on a hook.

  • @PodgeNotRodge said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1221916#Comment_1221916

Funny thing about that is, if a survivor is immediately hanging around for that save. That's 1 guaranteed person not doing a gen for however long it takes for you to leave, full health or not. Which means if he wants to waste time waiting instead of stretching a hook for as long as they can to ensure progress. That's on them. Smart survivors wont immediately go for save because they want to pressure elsewhere while still giving incentive to go back to hook.

In regards to slugging, it's just not a fun play when a game is snowballed. In my opinion no game show be able to be snowballed. Just kills the idea of the game. No chase, no excitement. Having one slugged or two if you know others are nearby but that's your risk cause that's what unbreakable is for. I dont get greedy so unbreakable is only ever used on me when theres two and I slug for 4k. But I find them again very quickly so it's useless. Which if survivors want to waste perk slots on perks that they might not get to use I.e DS, Unbreakable. Then that's 2 perks wasted. If they do, I usually get them done early so I dont get screwed exit gate stage. But no, it's not whining. Its stating points that clearly need addressing.

If someone camps me I just hang on the hook I’ve even messaged random ppl as I play solo 99% of the time when I’m bein camped on first hook telling them just do gens killer is camping I’ll hang on as long as I can. Then maybe they can get everything done so the killer only gets one kill. If ppl want to camp it don’t bother me I don’t personally camp or slug and don’t understand how someone can complain about camping then also say slugging takes away fun but oh btw I slug when two are left for my 4K. That’s still slugging so I guess camping when only two ppl are left would also be ok for you if the killer is doin it for their 4K and some campers still get 4ks so maybe they camp hoping crappy survivors will give them a 4K for it so guess that should be ok with you as well. Saying your not greedy but I slug for my 4K makes very little sense.

  • You can’t nerf him after he got the best boost ever everyone is looking for a killer to run from no one expects a big purple elephant to be trying to kill them lol.

No I’m salty because I did everything and your trying to say I’m playing selfish what I’m fact I’m not ..do you think I wanna do gens ??? I don’t but if I don’t then no one else will I carried my team and because of me 2 people escaped even tho they didn’t deserve to

You only did gens your teammates that didn’t deserve to live helped keep him in chases the entire match hence why you could just sit there on gens and not even deal with him plus they helped rescue ppl who btw were always on the other side of the map as you because he was chasing them. If you were my teammate I’d leave you cause helping out with chases and rescues would give other ppl more chances to do gens. You had the easiest survivor game ever sitting around literally doin nothin but gens while your teammates dealt with killer and hooks and you complain wow.

Eviljoshy- They do lose points already, yes, but what does that have to do with anything? They don't give a shith about their emblems and points. They just want to ruin someone's game and hopefully get some ######### in post game chat. They do it because they're hollow people and desperately crave any form of attention, good or bad. As for ranking up, please tell me how I can reach a higher rank than rank 1 where these mythical non-camping and non-tunnelling killers are! I would love to see that sometime. Ad for the "Dark Side" I play both sides already. I just don't feel the need to ever camp or tunnel because I'm not ######### at the game. Even in Endgame if you get hooked I will leave the hook. What difference does it make?

    Wolfgamer - Thanks very much.

Con_Inc - They can tell because their emblems only degrade when they are within range of the hook and no other survivors are about. Even if they couldn't tell what difference does it make? The person has used up an entire perk slot so just teleport them to a different hook anyway, that way it protects against tunnelling too. If the killer isn't a camping/tunnelling killer it shouldn't upset them in any way should it? Against those killers it will just be a waste of a perk slot.

The fact is camping and tunnelling is what pushes people away from the game. It actively discourages people from playing because what is the point in queueing up for 10mins to be out in 2-3mins? Killers complain that "games are too quick" when they lose but they have no issue with using a mori to get someone out of a game within 2 minutes after tunnelling them off a hook or camping them out of the game asap, do they? It is just standard killer players who only play that side being dicks.

Even if you not camping or tunneling it could matter a lot. Let’s say they have 1 gen left to do you hook them in the basement or any hook near where the gen all are. You hook like that on purpose so your close to the gens and you know they have to recur near the gens so that will stop 1 or two of them from working on the last gen to open the gate as now they have to save near you and the objective. That gives the killer an advantage and a reason why some killers try to keep gens on the same side not done. Even if you don’t tunnel off the hook you know where another survivor is to hit and go after that don’t take you away from the gens while you patrol and applies more pressure on them.

It's a good perk, but I do say it could use a rework. Just slightly, to give people a reason to actually cleanse totems.

The perk itself should give ppl a reason to cleanse totems. If they choose not to bother with it then they deal with the consequences of noed if they get downed by it. I always look for totems I look for them as I work on gens and everywhere I know they spawn so I don’t get downed by it. If ppl complain about something they choose not to try and get rid of them it’s their own fault for not tryin to get rid of it. Sure you’ll have had teammates that don’t try to but if gens are popping fast and I know ppl ain’t looking I tend to look around more to cover myself if they don’t care.

  • @MPUK said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1216533#Comment_1216533

Everyone always spouts this but it is bollocks. Yes, those gens get done and x number of people escape but the person(maybe even multiple people) who got camped had their game ruined. A game they potentially queued for 10mins+ for.

It is ######### behaviour by ######### players intent on ruining the game for someone. Saying everyone else should do gens and leave doesn't fix the fact that the person on the hook has had their game ruined and their time wasted.

I would like a perk where if the survivor is being camped for a number of seconds they get teleported to a different hook across the map, 10 seconds before they teleport the other survivors see the aura of the destination hook so they can be there ready to unhook them. Named something like "Now You See Me"

they wouldn’t be able to tell when someone is camping and when someone is chasing a survivor that’s trying to unhook in front of the killer. It would give survivors a free shot to juke a killer around someone hooked to have someone save them somewhere else. I don’t play swf but me and a bunch of randoms were able to unhook ppl being camped by a killer 3 times in one match today by luring him into hits. I know it don’t work as good with leatherface or noed or even billy but certain killers mean you have to give up on the save unfortunately

  • That’s many tears would come out if you had new Mori animations

  • Lol I had a game today with someone with ttv in their name left everytime I hooked someone cause I don’t camp they let themselves die on second hook while I chased someone else and was messaging me the entire match calling me a camper b. When my woman was beside me even letting me know you didn’t camp anything. Asked if he needed tissues then reported the boss2008. Tired of crappy ppl running their mouth idc if you are ttv or a streamer act like an adult.

  • Just don’t use it for the first time after maybe having too many drinks I forgot I switched to it and couldn’t figure out what the noise was at first lol.

  • Not camping or tunneling is all I have. If I’m dumb enough to pull a survivor off a hook in front of you then feel free to swat me down like a fly. Idc if I get slugged and if you do decide to Mori me at least let me be able to see it good. I know some ppl do moris from dailies or rancor so I don’t hate on them that much I just like watching.

  • It’s a game a lot of ppl don’t seem to play to just have fun. It’s either try hard survivors or try hard killers. If I get 4 or 0 kills as long as I’ve had fun that’s what matters and I try to make the game fun for survivors by not tunneling camping. I let ppl go if they played good and the hatch is available and also message ppl gg when I had fun chasing them or being chased. As survivor idc if I live I try to help my team and go for saves at the end even if I know I’ll probably die just so someone else can escape as it’s a team game when you play survivor.

I offered you a counter and there you go. If you let the survivor pick it up and take off with it, that's on you.

End chases. I gave you a counter.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1215442#Comment_1215442

Sacrificing a perk slot for a CHANCE at getting a rare item in a chest sounds like a good tradeoff.

Remember, Plunderer's also gives brown toolboxes. So please, don't assume because a survivor has Plunderer's they receive an instant key.

That’s like saying hey the counter to moris is don’t lose chases. So if you get a Mori done to you it’s your fault I just gave you a counter. It’s easy to sneak back and grab anything you’ve dropped even if you lose the chase. I’ve been hooked multiple times and still made it back to the spot I dropped stuff unless your other counter is tunnel anyone who drops a key into the ground.

  • Nope I was answering someone else’s question if you think your an alt guess your saying you’ve lost brain cells along the way.

  • Because the same people that lose every argument in their other stupid posts don’t wanna look like an idiot two times in a row. Or we can go with multiple personalities and they lose brain cells the more they make alts.

  • I’d rather use self care then run around the map looking for someone to heal me that might just take off or let’s a killer find two ppl at once. If someone is around I’ll let them heal me like I would them but me running around to find someone to heal could take longer if they are on the other side of the map or lead the killer to them if I get away but the follow my scratch marks. I tend to heal near a gen or totem anyways so I can work after I’m healed up.

  • I have no issues with keys or moris and have had both used against me more than a few times. At least if your goin to use a Mori do it in a place where I can actually see it if it’s going to happen I’d like to actually watch.

At this point I can't wait for Predator Hunting Grounds to come out. I'm beyond done with this game and an extra bloodpoint event doesn't do anything when all you do is get tunneled and camped. Killers should receive zero bloodpoints for it but behavior doesn't care so I'm done and deleting this game. Go Predator Hunting Grounds! Put this game out of business!!!

I'm down with playing against more challenging people in order to improve. My problem is when I'm a legit rank 17 and being matched with 9s on down to 2s. LOL But, I'm hanging in there. Eventually I'll have the experience to compete, whether my rank reflects that or not.

The games will be tougher and the right swf groups will be irritating but I think playing the good higher rank ppl does actual help a lot especially when your newer to the game or certain killers. Only been playing a few months myself and seeing how they try to hide or loop I thinks helping my killer game a lot more than the easier matches. I play basically nothin but red ranks when I’m killer and I ain’t the best and usually have a few drinks in me by then and it shows me how to try and run as a survivor better as well.

  • It will be the same mm just don’t know how bad it is like you do now. I personally don’t care I get mostly all red ranks to go against but I think it helps to make me somewhat better going against some good high ranked ppl. I don’t want the game to be to easy so even tho all red ranks aren’t that good I like the challenge of the actual good survivors. Besides you won that match not because of the 3k but you also got more points with a killer a lot say it’s my that good so don’t think it’s that bad.

Killers can play killer to get resources for killers.

Survivors must play killer to get resources for survivors.

    How is this good design.

I’ve gotten plenty of bp for killers while playing survivor playing both for bp is an option that’s in the game for everyone. You can’t just say survivors should keep the addons cause they need more bp and ignore an easy way to gain them. Besides some ppl play as every killer in the game which costs a lot more to keep up with than ppl who play one or two survivors. I play as a lot of both to change things up even if it’s just the look of survivors. If I need bp I can play killer if not guess I don’t need them that bad.

  • When I need bloodpoints for survivors I just play more killer matches then I can get whatever addons I need for my survivors. I play multiple killer and survivors so have a lot for both sides I use. If you say killers get more bloodpoints than survivors which they do simple solution is play killer when you need bp.

  • Rank doesn’t even matter I’ve been going against rank at least one rank 1-4 every match since rank 13 or so as killer with a 5-6 rank and maybe a 10 rank sprinkled in. Today at rank 11 all rank one survivors in a single match. I would be higher but been working on the house a lot the past few weeks so been slacking on more than just dailies but my rank don’t matter as killer as that is about the same every single match.

  • I generally have about a 6 second wait time as killer to load out into a match as opposed to a 3-4 minute wait time as survivor. I think I can manage waiting longer.

1 2 3
