If I see more than one flashlight coming into the match I always use lightborn. Works in my favor a lot at pallets or carrying someone not enough people must use the perk so a lot of times they stand in place thinking they will get you and you get a free hit on them instead.

I’ve seen a few matches where the killer didn’t get a single hook until noed got someone down or they dc as soon as the last gen is done if they haven’t gotten any hooks and trust me I’m not the best survivor and i try to look for totems as well. The only times I haven’t seen a single gen done was one person got hooked and the other teammates kept tryin to unhook in front of the killer and kept all going down.

Yeah I see I quoted the wrong person in my original post. Once again sorry for the confusion!
It’s all good just wanted to clear things up I had to reread what I had wrote to make sure I didn’t say the wrong things

I reread your post and you do state that you believe keys are too strong. You also state you wish they were nerfed, and needed time to open the hatch as opposed to how they are now.
Which is why I was pointing out that an ebony is stronger than a key.
If your mad at a survivor for getting out using a key, that you feel didn't do anything. That is not the fault of the key, but more a complaint against crappy teammates that get lucky at the end. This will not often be the case.
You also asked what do we think. I was telling you what I think. That is as long as ebony is a thing, keys are fine. Get rid of ebony and you can have keys. Just my thoughts, which you asked for.
Where did I ever in my post say keys are to strong or ask for a nerf or even ask for everyone’s opinion. I said some ppl can escape without doin much same also goes with a killer and a Mori they can win without doing much. All I was saying about the keys is it’s not always hard work to escape with one that’s not sayin they are to strong or need a nerf that’s staying a fact I’ve seen in games and also didn’t say I was mad at crappy teammates. Your confusing me with other ppl as another post from someone else on here talks about adding time to open not how they do now with insta open. I said get rid of both then maybe ppl can stop complaining maybe re reread my posts again I never ask for nerfs or say things are op I always say it’s a game I try to have fun and that’s it.

At that point, who cares? One guy escapes via the hatch and you got a 3k. I think that's a win in most people's perspective.
Ebony mori is much more powerful than a key. That also promotes an unfun tactics, usually a tunneling and mori off first hook.
You want the keys give up the ebony mori. And I will even agree that cypress mori becomes basekit.
I never said I wanted the keys and said in another post I wouldn’t mind if either key and Mori were gone. Also didn’t complain about one person escaping was just sayin stuff I had seen as killer and survivor in matches and how I’ve seen other survivors not do anything the entire match basically but hide and escaped. When I play killer idc how many kills I get as long as I had fun playing the game that’s what matters to me sometimes I play better sometimes survivors do the fun and bloodpoints are all I really care about.

I am well aware of that, but again, this is far from almost no effort.
Sidenote: One of the achievements i still miss is 4 people escape through hatch. While i have to admit i almost never bring a key, in those probably 10.000 games as survivor, it should have at least happen a few times, but it did not. On the other side, how often does a killer get a 4K with an ebony? Honestly, most of the time if he brings one. It is so easy to pull off.
I also almost never see someone of my team escpae with a key, maybe once in 20 games, if even. And as a killer, this is also not happening to me at all. I deeply remember this one game where 3 people escaped with a key. I was playing the Pig on Groaning Storehouse and the hatch was in the middle of the street...this is over a year ago, it never happend again. Every once in a while there is maybe one person that escapes with a key, but at that point, the game was already won for me, so i could not care less.
Keys might need some adjustments, since apparently they are a problem for some people for whatever reason, so a 5 seconds delay before you can open it would not be the end of the world for survivors. On the other side... again.. we have moris, and those are really gamebreaking.
What do you think about that?
The point I was making is some people can key escape just hiding and not doin gens to help out I’ve seen it in games. Some people actually do work hard for key escapes but others don’t so you can say everyone works hard for them. I personally don’t use keys or any of the Mori options besides rancor when I started on spirit. I wouldn’t mind if either were taken out of the game. I’ve also never got the 4 people escape thru hatch done with anyone else bringing a key in or finding a key I have had a match where the killer should have killed everyone but another survivor found a key did a hook rescue and opened the hatch. The killer then closed it but I knew where they were and used a key I found to reopen it and escape even tho the killer outplayed all of us we just got lucky.

Survivors have to do all 5 Generators to be able to use a key... that is not exactly "not doing anything". Why do people treat the key like it is a free win?
On top of that, it is surprising me when Killer mains complain about a key when they have Ebony Mori. That thing is basicly a free win, but not the key (down one person, tunnel him off the hook, make the game early a unwinable 3v1 situation, gg)
You don’t have to do all 5 gens for a key to be used the more in the team that die the less gems need to be done before the hatch appears. So if you team isn’t that good you can use a key without doing much. When a killer takes out 3 of 4 and they only got two gens done and the killer closes the hatch but it gets opened with a key that’s a free win. Survivors did little killer did everything they were supposed to and yes I’ve seen that happen from both sides.

Should be longer of a ban and less chances to come back from it. I play 50/50 killer survivor and the thing that takes more fun out of the game than tunneling or Mori or keys or gen rushing which is what most complain about is survivors dc when they get dropped once or killing themselves on the hook especially when the run no mither. If you can play out the game and not screw others over then why bother playing at all. Not all games will go your way but you don’t have to ruin other ppls games because you have a bad game especially on the first hook. Two games in a row today two dcs and the next two suicides from first hook.

Doesn’t matter to me what a killer brings in if the Mori me oh well keys can make the game easier for survivors yet wouldn’t leave to them either. I play to have fun if I get a killer with a Mori and die first I still could have fun in the game and hopefully helped at least run them for a bit to help my team. If I leave them I wait for another match as a survivor which is a lot more boring than at least playing. I’m not the best survivor or killer but the games about having fun maybe some ppl need to not take it so serious and enjoy. Same reason I don’t dc when I get tunneled or camped I hang in as long as I can to help the other survivors which makes the game better.
-
Half the time if I “tunnel” I don’t actually know I’m doin it till it’s to late as I don’t camp I tend to breaks pallets hit gens and look for other survivors. If someone gets unhooked and I go back and both are injured I have no idea which scratch marks I’m chasing. Most of the time they are almost gone so can’t look for both if I follow one and it leads me to who was just unhooked it’s make little sense for me to leave them alone to go find someone else who could be all the way across the map by then. If they happen to unhook when I’m right their and can see both I know who I’m goin after but not every “tunnel” is just that sometimes you have to guess and it might not be right. Btw lvl 7 survivor and lvl 11 killer
