I don't DC but I understand the ones who DC. To be honest, I find his matches really boring, and it seems like everyone is using it, like a third of the matches I play are Doctors, it's boring and repetitive.

Doctor. He’s damn too OP after the last update.
Doctor is not a perk.

NOED is the perfect example of how a perk shouldnt work. Doing nothing for it to get a game changer. All killers would cry a river if survivors would have anything similar, but because its a killer thing its all fine. Double standards like always.
They DO have a lot of things similar, Sprint Burst is a free sprint for doing nothing and it's a game changer for a wraith vs 4 sprint bursts. Balanced Landing is a reward for finding a hill. Lithe a reward for finding a window. Dead Hard? A complete game changer, the killer should have already downed you but you pressed E to extend the chase and help your teammates finish the gens they otherwise wouldn't. A lot of survivor perks are game changers. Don't get me started on 4 adrenalines.

Nobody really plays the nurse anymore so they have no real way to try that.
On PC a lot of people play nurse, I have one or two every night. I've also tried to stun her and it worked, but it's not easy since you have to wait for her to charge a long blink to give time for the burn.

@Peanits said:
I wouldn't be super against it. I don't think it absolutely needs to go, but I wouldn't be too distraught if it did. Most survivors don't even seem to know that you can do it. I go up against plenty of people with flashlights who never even try.
Rank 1 survivors know about this and I get stunned all the time, and there is no counter (other than coming out from behind a wall, and you lose distance and it gives them the chance to go to a pallet). It's annoying that the only thing wraith has (a skeak attack) has flashlights and sprint burst to counter it. He's already a basic M1 killer, he doesn´t need too many counters.
What MOST people don't seem to know is that you can stun a nurse, but I'm sure most red ranks know about wraith.

You have to admit it's kinda BS when you only have time to do four totems and die on your first hook because you were touched one time the entire game. It's a perk that rewards killers for being bad.
You're judging a killer being bad because he didn't 4k before the 5th gen pops. That's incorrect, the killer can be really good, and the map is garbage or the survivors are optimal SWF in gens. If you don't 4k before the 5th gen, doesn't mean you're bad.

I mean, there are a lot of threads saying "Nerf leatherface" or something like that and when you enter, it's just a troll. I'm serious, NOED is balanced and people who hate NOED might think "Nah, I'm pretty sure he's just trolling", that's why I had to clarify.

It's a crutch.
If you think about it, every perk is a crutch. Without BBQ or whispers you wouldn't be able to find survivors quickly, without self-care, inner strength or bond people wouldn't heal so easily and would really depend on finding another survivor. Also all exhaustion perks are crutches, for instance Dead Hard makes you win loops and extend chases where you would otherwise go down. And don't get me started on Adrenaline. Also, keys?
-
@Knots said:
It's actually a trash perk that no killer should or needs to run. You will win more games if you run something else in that slot.
Not really, it's a relatively strong perk that gives you free hooks or deaths in the end game, or time if survivors are clensing all totems instead of doing gens. If it was trash, nobody would use it.

@BigTimeGamer said:
its not the fact that it exists that people dislike it, it’s the killer being rewarded for failing their only objective
Also, survivors didn't finish their objectives either, they must do 5 gens and at least 1 of 2 doors. So maybe adrenaline should pop when at least one door is opened, not a reward when they did part of their objectives. Imagine a perk where if the killer kills two people, the third one automatically dies, that would be rewarding him for doing part of their job, just like adrenaline.
-
@BigTimeGamer said:

His objective is to kill, not before the fifth gen pops, but during the whole match, before and after the 5th gen, end game included. As I said, survivors think the killer lost when the 5th gen pops, you're assuming he failed his objectives when the match isn't even over yet.

Nope, I do that too to punish idiotic survivors. Of course it all depends on the situation, maybe the killer is somehow pressuring them a lot, patrolling or camping me, in that situation I hold as much as I can to help the team instead of giving the killer an easy win.

This is the official solution to SWF:

How tf do you make slugging a perk, fr just curious how this dude expected that to work and how he expected it to be fair or balanced
Well, it's easy. If the killer doesn't pick up the survivor in, let's say, 20 seconds, he'll be up again automatically.
-
Good thing survivors are not toxic though... could you imagine? tbaging, clicly clicly, pointing, "ez" on the end chat? That would ruin the game.

Afking is reportable I'm pretty sure...not so sure this counts lol.
I'm actually not AFK, I'm literally AT the keyboard :-D
-
So, I'm doing an "end game piggy" (or wraith, or any killer), it's hilarious when it works. I go AFK, I have a laugh of the stupid things survivors do in front of me, like running around to farm boldness points, or blind me, or vault pallets over and over... so when the time is right, I activate myself and start killing. At first I waited til 25% of the end game bar I wanted a 4k just by using 1 hook and blood warden, but most of the time it didn't work, or they did my NOED which defeated the purpose. So now I go to a gate, wait there and when the NOED activates and there are some people around, I start the killing.
I've gotten insults, laughs or even threats like "I'll report you for being AFK on purpose, enjoy your ban" from a guy who died, of course :-D It's hilarious.

I turn off the lights, turn the volume up, headphones in and grip my controller for deer life every time I hear a sound.
Because i enjoy horror movies and like being scared and it's the orginal reason I bought this game.
Ask killer I try to get into the mindset and when I get hate mail I reply in character
I really wish more people got into the spirt of the game
I don't think I've ever experience fear in this game, since it's not scary at all, unless you're 9 years old I guess. And once you get good at it, you can't fear a killer, at least you dislike them (like I dislike playing against Legion or Plague) but fear?

"Protect the ruin" Pig. I even got a couple of hooks and one time a guy died on a timer. It was hilarious.
Though a couple of times a guy said at the end chat "dude, you're stupid" and I was like "nah, I'm probably way smarter than you are, I'm just bored"

Oh my God! What are the devs going to do without your 30 dollars!

I think he's more annoying now to go against. His static blast stops you from doing any interaction. It feels like it's way easier to be put into T3 madness meaning no item using and the terror radius music isn't as discernable so you can't really hear it until he's already too close.
The last 5 matches Vs the new doc my teammates have DC's about 6 or 7 times.
Do you think the new Doc is less annoying to play against?
He's still annoying and boring to go against.

Have I asked about these perks? U seem to be biased.
Well, you didn't answer his question either. He asked if he should use it or not, you answered that it won't make him a better killer. He didn't ask "Does NOED make me a better killer?"
-
I faced a leatherface once doing that challenge. It was really fun, all of us trying to get the item. At least it took us away from the monotony of holding M1 and escaping.
-
It's not that he's hard or anything, but he's SO BORING to play against. He was boring, he's still boring and annoying.
-
It's not.
But survivors will complain about anything so don't listen to them and slug.

It's okay to be bad at video games. The killers that use the ebonies know that deep down they are, and it's perfectly okay. It's just funny that they try to hide the reason they use it as the ruin nerf or gen speed.
You're main survivor, right? "killers use memento cuz they suck". That's the only analysis you can do about the state of the game?
-
Yeah, the amount of memento moris now is staggering. And now we can't complain, after this, if you used an ebony mori against 4 randoms (non SWF), you were just an ######### or you really wanted to win or you were doing an expert. Now, nobody can tell you anything because of gens speed and ruin gone.
There's no "mr. nice killer" anymore, anyone will do anything to win.

Noed won't make you a better killer.
Adrenaline, Dead Hard, DS, etc... won't make you a better survivor either.

@Todgeweiht said:
Nothing new. People attribute old """issues""" in the game that have been present for a lot of time now to a nerf to their favorite perk.
It's nothing new, everyone knew the core game is broken at red ranks with low tier killers. THAT's the reason why 80% of red ranks had ruin, it bought you time most of the matches, so you can play a nice game, not camping, not tunneling, not being sweaty. Now every clown, wraith, pig, etc... will have to be very sweaty at red ranks to even stay there. And it's not a matter of being a good killer, I know good rank 1 nurses or hillbillys that are garbage with other killers, but they have the map and time pressure that other killers don't, so most of the time it's an easier game for them.
-
@Zamblot said:
god damn the amount of NOED killers use only to face camp you the whole game is infuriating. Especially if you've cleansed all but one totems and can't find that last one and then it spawns
I don't blame them and I don't get mad at them when I get camped when the gates are opened. It's not their fault, it's the devs fault for failing to create a fun experience and making it a frustrating experience for everyone.
-
Not even kidding.

All I'm seeing in this thread is you venting about your frustrations and others perpetuating the negative circle-jerk without actually giving any constructive criticism so the devs can fix the problems you have.
Yes, extremely efficient survivors can overpower an extremely good killer. No, this doesn't happen every match. This thread isn't contributing to balancing game issues, it's just your personal vent thread.
I've proposed many solutions to this problem many times. Never got an answer. Now the answer was "Ruin is used in 80%+ of the games so... we're nerfing it because it's hard for survivors to find a totem or do red skillchecks"
1) There has to be an early game mechanic, for instance going across the map (like freddy's clocks) and they have to look for a highlighted toolkit or something to prevent them from sitting on a gen on the first 3 seconds of the match, and making them waste maybe 30 or more, like looking for the old ruin, also giving the killer more chance to find someone crossing the map.
2) balance mechanic between killers. The pig has a mechanic to slow survivors down, the Doc also has snap out (slows down a little). You could say legion does too (mending), but wraith, clown, etc... don't have one. What if, for instance, when a clown downs you while intoxicated you have to go to a health box (like pig's) and remove the toxins. Not going aroung the map, just the first one you find, like plague's fountains.
Many things have been proposed throughout the years, many known youtubers and streamers have, but the devs don't really listen, the core game is broken, it's not balanced at all and they're never fixing it, they just tweak a couple of perks and addons here and there and that's it. I've lost faith in the devs already so I have nothing left but to vent.

Thanks BHVR, 5 gens in 5 minutes, only 2 hooks. (First hook 3 gens down).

Survivors actually do that? Had a Demo game a while back where I purposefully went after the rescuer, used Shred first in chases etc. and just generally played in a "non toxic" way... and the gens miraculously stood at 4 for a good while. BUT it seems like the moment I tunnelled somebody, 2 gens went off simultaneously and the rush was on... Message received.
It's just funny how, at a whim, a well coordinated team like this can have a Killer by the balls.
Most of the time, the power role is survivor. Which is insane.
-
Yep, this is red rank now. Well done BHVR. We did 5 gens in like... 4 minutes.
-
Camp, tunnel and slug. That's the only way.
-
I again gen rushed a couple of guys, just got tunneled by a Legion and lost against a Doctor that had to tunnel 2 guys to death in order to win (1 gen left, I got hooked once and the other guy never got hooked).
There are no nice games anymore, no "I two-hooked everyone, I let you unhook and heal and I still won". No, that doesn't exist, it's gen rush or tunnel to win.
Aaaaaaand, now another tunneling Doctor that made the tunneled guy ragequit.
PRETTY GOOD JOB SO FAR!
-
Last night I had as survivor:
-4 games I got tunneled to death (I don't use DS)
-2 games other guy got tunneled to death.
-1 game I got tunneled and moried by a Ghostface, I was the 1st hook of the match and the guy came back and chased me instead of the guy that unhooked me.
-I genrushed the rest of the killers, even made one ragequit.
-Only 1 enjoyable match against the huntress I talked about in a previous comment, the rest of the matches I felt disgusted by the cheap and sh*tty strategy the killer used, or bored by the match being an easy gen rush.
-

When a killer is nearby and the music gets louder I actually start to feel nervous and frightened.
Someone even said he's bored by the game and I'm just here feeling like i'm watching a horror film that is actually scary. Is anyone else like that or am I a clown for that? I mean I even start stretching my legs under my desk to relieve the stress
I'm relatively new, I mean I don't know if it's even been a week but still.
aaaaaaaawwwwwwwwww, you scared little rank 20. No, it's not scary at all once you get better at the game.
-
Also, if a guy runs shack perfectly and a couple of loops, that's it, you lost 3 gens, and eventually the game. Since they had time to do 3/5 objectives while, if you down him, you only did 1/12 objectives.
A-MA-ZING.
-
I had ONE good match. ONE.
A not so skilled huntress (though she wasn't bad, she was good enough). You know what we did? we all stopped doing gens. All of us, the last gen was being repaired by nobody, not because she was protecting it, but because we were all juking, trying to get a flashlight save, picking other people up the ground while she was trying to slug/snowball, unhooking... literally she lost the game like 10 minutes ago and we were all having fun, not caring about escaping or even if we die, it would have been better than the rest of the match I've escaped by holding M1.
It's really sad to see how the devs destroyed their own game and made it a boring and frustrating waste of time.
