When people stop conditioning the killer by lingering around the hook. Be a little more professional and wait till he's finished hooking someone before revealing yourself. I wouldn't just dart off either as a killer with a ditzy survivor lingering or cheaply attempting to bait a chase.

What will be the point in even trying your best as Killer? If you do well, you’ll only ever face the top of the top, SWF.
Where’s the fun or reward in that, imagine only facing SWF all the time for having a high MMR score. It just sounds like free stress, not stress free.
This is a big issue for competitive players. I've never been to rank 1 as a killer main and that's been my primary goal from the start. And the reason I suck it up when I get a 4 man dance crew at the exit. This whole "at least you'll know you've reached rank 1" is a pretty interesting concept I must admit. I have my reservations though.
But seriously they're just gonna blend us in with the rest of the dailies killers since a casual mode isn't feasible. We'll see how long it is before A Day Without a Killer.

Apart from sucking for killer, adding voice comms would really break immersion for new players imo and rob them of those precious few early scares we all had. Remember when you used to fear the killer and s**t yourself while in it's Terror Radius?
And above all, let's face it, it would open up the floodgates of toxicity. Part of the reason why I never got into F13. That and you couldn't just main Jason.

I've been mining a lot of salt recently using Myers with:
Bowtie/Dead Rabbit
Monitor & Abuse
PGTW
Brutal Strength
Whispers
I use Whispers + M&A and Dead Rabbit to find survivors (I think my TR in EW2 is 4, very dirty), Brutal to clear pallets and PGTW for gen control. The Bowtie I find is right on the sweet spot in terms of length. Not so long that you can only pop it once but long enough to do some serious damage if I 99 it.
Not the dirtiest Myers build but I'm usually walking around with a 4 meter terror radius and EW3 99'd...

Wow.
Survivors just getting more and more ridiculous and entitled the more devs placate them.

Honestly if the only reason you are playing is for rank and not for fun, you are sucking the fun out of the game and it's you doing the work. then the blame goes to the game.
As a new player the game loop was fun for me but what I really loved was coming up with strategies to stop survivors and the drama of maintaining a pip. Without a visible ranking system, that'll all be gone now or way less intense. But yeah I guess I'm not the type of player bhvr is looking to attract.

This is probably where I get off then. It's been fun DVD or whatever the hell your name was...

Nerf in what way? I definitely would've dropped this game at the beginning had it not been for the awesome ability that is Moris. Without em your basically just a glorified Uber giving survivors piggyback rides with no personal satisfaction. I want the ability to kill all 4 survivors in a match if I play my cards right. Even if it screws me in BP and the emblems category.
-
Game is too easy for survivors to have any fear. I only play survivor for dailies and tome challenges but got red ranks solo queing this year. Meanwhile the highest rank I've been as Killer is 8 even though I spend most of my time and energy there.
Another undeniable aspect ruining the horror is SWF. Not whining just spitting facts. Game was balanced around 4 randos vs 1, not virtual superorganisms vs a constantly nerfed rival. New DBD is the latter.

This is the only way to have fun games right now: Doing the gens intentionally slow. Hoping the killer notices the slow gen speed and then decides to play soft instead of camping/tunneling/whatever.
Survivors actually do that? Had a Demo game a while back where I purposefully went after the rescuer, used Shred first in chases etc. and just generally played in a "non toxic" way... and the gens miraculously stood at 4 for a good while. BUT it seems like the moment I tunnelled somebody, 2 gens went off simultaneously and the rush was on... Message received.
It's just funny how, at a whim, a well coordinated team like this can have a Killer by the balls.
-
Sometimes I look at the character select screen and he just makes the most sense. Especially if I was just battered with the Clown or something the previous game.
-
Good. That's what keeps me and thousands like me going is moving up the ranks. Without it or if they tried to make this game more casual by hiding ranks I'd have no problem uninstalling.
Why do ranks matter so much? I don't know. All I know is I still play Rocket League after all these years strictly because of the chase.

That is totally wrong, like completely.
I get what he/she's saying though even if he's being facetious. I used to get tilted going to the scoreboard after a tough match and seeing all red ranks (I was rank 8-9 before resetting back to yellow -_-), sometimes I still do but I'll tell you what, I'd much rather face and struggle against a Strong team than stomp on a weak one nowadays.
It's just way more fulfilling to win. And yes you will inevitably get better if you note your mistakes and what you woulda coulda shoulda done differently. I can feel it.
I should mention I play every single killer regardless of viability and will keep it that way even when I reach red ranks. And no I don't think I'm some naive, starry eyed motha****a, thank you.
-
I generally farm/toy a bit with them before tightening the noose. This all depends on what the previous match was like though. Entity help you if in my very first game of the night I run into a 3-4 man, gate-twerking SWF.
-
Talk to your boys the devs...
-
Hasn't been said in a while, so...
Pennywise.
Preferably Tim Curry's
New map would be The Sewer (Hawkins/Game template). And his power would be something chase related where he feeds off fear (chases, downs, break actions). There are also red balloons on gens that pop with every failed skill check, showering the survivors in blood and revealing their auras.
-
On regular PS4 I've lagged/droppes frames when:
• I (or when I'm killer, a survivor) activates dead hard
• Bloodlust activates
• a survivor completes a gen when I'm simultaneously completing another action.
• randomly while attacking a survivor, causing me to miss
• survivor is downed with a killer power and I'm on a gen (skill check activated)
• Etc., Etc.
I don't remember it being this bad. I first played it when they were having a free weekend on PSN. It seems that the bigger the game file has gotten (something like 30gb on PS4) the worse the performance. Is that a possible explanation?
-
I don't know. I've honestly never stopped to ask.

I should have clarified in my earlier comment that the controller I was having problems with was also less than 90 days old. Sent it back to Sony for free repair under warranty. It came back perfectly fixed and ready to juke killers. Lol
Ah thanks for that. I have a warranty on mine too so I guess I should activate it but like I said I'm only having a problem on DBD so it feels like overkill. Ugh.

I had this exact issue. Its controller bleed off on your left stick being worn or older. It completely went away after I purchased a new controller. Hope this helps you, have a wonderful day. : )
That's really odd since the controller is basically brand new (I received it as a gift unopened last month). I'll try an older controller I have laying around.
