  • I mean they caved in to all the killer main pressure yet again, what more do you want?

  • As if killers dont do the same? Going after one thing then another in the survivor side?

I havent seen too many people complaining for a Deathslinger nerf, but he is a boring killer to play against and pretty much all of them proxy camp. He could benefit from a few changes.

  • How on Earth do you get hit with 3 DS?

    1. If there has been so much gen pressure that they barely got done, it can mean 2 things:

    a) the killer was good and applied a lot of pressure, which makes it likely they are not using noed. After all, OP didn't use it either, apparently, so Noed doesn't have anything to do with his points whatsoever

    b) the survivors weren't that good and made wrong decisions regarding gens and totems in the first place, enabling the killer to use their perk

From what I can tell, the better the killer is, the less likely it is they use Noed. I'd be more concerned about red add-ons and moris, both of which can't be stopped.

    2. How exactly do you consider the ability to instadown "god mode", but the repetitive ability to avoid a hit that would actually down you but keeps you alive for another x minutes (Dead Hard) not? If anything, Noed as an easy way to down someone answers Dead Hard, which is an easy way to avoid being downed even though you'd actually be downed multiple times. Bad killers make up for not getting anyone by endgame, survivors make up multiple times for looping too long or too poorly.

    3. I don't get the fuzz about totems. I am fairly new to the game, and once I had encountered Noed several times, I decided that I find doing totems as important as doing gens. I'm not talking abt swf, when I solo queue and ain't sure about the totems, I'll take a break from doing gens and go look for totems. Learning their places helps, you usually bypass them anyway, I memorize them when I see them during a chase and go back later, and I still use Tapp's perk for finding totems sometimes. No matter how good the killer is, they can always be in one place at a time, and maybe the key is that I'm not like those who willingly throw themselves into the killer's arms and then complain about hex totems, but rather try to NOT be where the killer is, and during that time it is my free choice to do either gens or totems. And every survivor's got that chance.

Yes the better a player is the less likely they are to use NOED.....which kind of goes to show that its a crutch used by bad players.

Sometimes things can go sour in a game. Sometimes you barely get the gens done because of it and asking the survivors to run around looking for 5 totems in addition is too much. Again we’re talking solo here it has been discussed many times the lack of information they have on totems.

I’m not defending dead hard. I think dead hard is letting a lot of survivors extend a chase by an extra 20 seconds or so if they use it for distance, not good survivors but just average survivors who wouldnt be able to extend the chase that long through skill alone because they dont know how to link tiles while looping. I think dead hard is boosting mediocre players too.

DS and BT I am fine with. Dead hard, sprint burst and Adrenaline I am not.

It's his kit that is built for that. 110% speed with wonky TR and a ranged attack that can't snowball like a Huntress's hatchet. He's made to proxy just outside TR with monitor.

I agree. Low movement speed, low terror radius, poor map pressure and a ranged attack its just asking for proxy camping.

He is a known Survivor Main. Don't take any words from him serious.

yes I play survivor and I see many Deathslingers play like this, as have a lot of other survivors.

If you played survivor maybe you would see it yourself

That was a thing I believe someone like you would say.

But you are always killer bad survivors are angels.

Not at all. It only seems like that because this forum is full of incredibly bias killer mains and if I present a different perspective thats how they see it.

  • why do killer mains always try to dump on “rank 10”?

I can tell you that killers have a huge advantage for the majority of this game. Ranks 20-5 the killer has it easy. The stats time and time again prove rank 10s and below have a lower escape rate.

Its only red rank survivors that give killers a hard time. I say that but I mean the true red ranks, however current red ranks are so watered down that yeah even red ranks is mostly easy now.

The game is already miserable enough for low rank survivors and plenty of killers derank anyway.

Anyone who says this game is balanced for rank 20s etc doesnt understand the game. Its at a soit now where its almost as balanced as it could be for the high ranks without making it completely unplayable for low ranks

I suggest not going to a "killer vs survivor" topic with him/her if you check his/her comments on most killer posts she/he will say stuff like "I 4k blinded no perks, I never slug, I never tunnel, I never camp and I play by survivor rules always 100%".

You won't win, not everyone has the PVP mentality.

When did I say I 4k blinded with no perks?

and no I dont tunnel or camp....unless the survivor is being toxic.

Some of us just enjoy the chases ya know? And dont feel the need to sweatily tunnel one survivor out of the game as fast as possible.

  • if the survivors leave a totem up to activate soul guard it works in your favour. NOED, devour and Ruin....if the survivors are getting slugged over and over while any of those totems are active you’re in a very good spot. Even Lullaby would probably slow them down a bit.

Just dont take Thrill of the hunt unless you have Devour or Ruin up. Its going to need a strong totem to go with it now.

  • If you dont have DS you’re screwed. It really should have been a free perk. Its an essential game mechanic

  • I agree. When I play solo new Ruin is even more frustrating than old Ruin.

You spend a minute or so on a gen holding M1. Its pumping away at 80-90% completion. The killer comes along and chases you off. You get chased for a bit, you either lose them and heal etc or you get hooked. Either way you come back to your gen and its now at 20% or lower even completely dead at times. Which means now you have to hold M1 for another minute on top of what you have already done.

Its a really boring perk that sucks the fun out of the game. It’s basically the Legion of perks. You can try to find the totem first but if its an indoor map then you’re not winning that game as it will take so long to find it.

Meanwhile if you’re in a 4 man group you can just ask someone else to work on your gen while you’re being chased.

New Ruin wasn’t a bad idea but it is yet another perk that greatly increases the gap between solo and swf. At least old Ruin didn’t delete your progress.

  • Bloodlust 1 is ok but those killers that circle a pallet until bloodlust 3.....yeah that one needs to go

Its a PVP game, if you cant handle a defeat, dont play.

Its not toxic to slug as long as you dont do it just to waste the others time.

Theres nothing wrong with trying to kill everyone.

Who cant handle a defeat? I think you’re talking about the topic creator.

I play killer and I dont slug for the 4k because its boring as hell and the game is already won. The hatch is killer sided anyway but it doesnt bruise my ego if someone escapes

  • Because they dont want survivors getting points, and using the mori is for them to ensure only they get points. A lot of these players are extremely toxic

In 90% of my surv games today my team destroyed all totems during the game or the last one left in endgame. I've seen noed activate once today (which was the totem that was destroyed seconds later), but being used and not activated due to all totems being done several times.

It is literally the easiest objective for survivors, so if anyone dares to compare noed to 2nd chance perks that are not counterable (and i personally think of "whoops i made a mistake, ah nevermind-dead hard", that person has no clue. There are even perks that are great for finding totems, but honestly, who needs that?! If survivors rather "genrush" than taking their time to slow it down just a little bit, they are at fault. This is NOT comparable to Dead Hard or Adrenaline. If every survivor destroys one totem, it's literally just 30s of extra work for three and 1min for one. It's nothing, considering how fast gens are being done, and how long it takes a killer to down (not kill) ONE survivor (not four). Multiply this effort of the killer by 12, and compare it to the 2,5 min total totem time. I'd say all totems can be destroyed during one or two chases between a killer and a good survivor (especially if the survivor has DH and whatnot :o) ).

This noed "argument" is simply unbelievable stupid. It is not hard to do some math, but it seems like this forum doesn't like looking at numbers. 5 totems, phhhh.

Then you were with swf because I play solo and the totems are never done. Hell even 2 man swf can be tricky sometimes depending on the map and people you get out with.

You want to talk about math? 5 totems is 74 seconds cleansing alone. That’s basically an extra generator. That’s not including those times you get interrupted as the killer walks past and you have to stop losing your progress. Add in the amount of time travelling to and looking for the totems which can vary by map but can add minutes on. Sometimes you only just barely get the gens done and literally don’t have time to get the gens done. All this to stop the killer from activating god mode and using a perk which takes all skill out of the chase and allows you to instadown survivors at a time when theres gonna be barely any pallets left on the map and maybe not even a full survivor team left.

Meanwhile, asking a killer to simply not pick someone up within 60 seconds of them being unhooked is apparently too hard to do and not an acceptable counter at all.

The killer main entitlement is real.

  • Lol guy talks about survivor entitlement but he’s making other people spend minutes on the ground immobilised bored out of their mind so he can feed his ego and get a few extra points in a video game.

Just hook the survivor and if the last gets hatch who cares? Killer has a huge advantage in finding it first anyway.

NOED is completely counterable, and is high risk high reward. Second chance perks, the only way to counter them, well, is to wait or slug or don't hit the same person twice, and if they use this aggressively, like in his match where he was body blocked by the bt unhooked surv and then DS'd, near the exit gate, well if he left him on ground, he would just crawl out the exit gate, the second guy probably already left. There was no counter to what happened. Thats the problem. Second chance perks "counters" punish the killer, and playing into them punishes the killer, and thats the problem when they're used aggressively. No counter except for "get f'd" is poor design. Not a single killer perk that gives as much of an advantage as taking away a hook like second chnces do is in the game, and the ones that are in the game are completely counterable by totems or adaptive playstyle, like devoir hope or noed or ruin or pop, they are all counterable.

NOED high risk high reward? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

More like low risk huge reward

  • If its any consolation, NOED has screwed over survivors millions of times

  • Problem with Devour is that if its too hard to find like on some of the new or indoor maps its becomes insanely OP

  • Well you’re wrong. I’m being completely truthful.

At least with Ghostface ive seen maybe 2 that dont do it. With deathslinger not a single one since his release

  • I mean hes generally considered strong already but sure lets buff him even more

  • Its one of the reasons I stopped playing. EU servers are full of trolls.

Join game, bodyblocked and sandbagged by trolls. Survivors working with killers. Or survivors who just dc in first few minutes. Why should I sit and stay in those kind of games for the full 10-20 minutes? I just went onto better games that dont punish their playerbase 🤔

You were outplayed at some point to be on the hook right?

Instead of having proper mechanics to punish face-camping or hook farming they use band-aid fixes. Even worse is that DS is usually used offensively promoting bad play on the survivor's end. The killer can be DS'ed even after they have hooked someone else in the meantime which is what makes it frustrating when the whole team uses it.

I am not the best survivor but I feel cheap using it especially knowing how lame it is for the other side, nor do I use NOED. I don't think using either makes me become a better player.

Right now killers are really pressed for time especially with ruin gone (and most have low mobility), so they resort to tunneling because hooking survivors 12 times is most likely going to be a loss against even decent survivors. Hopefully the early game ECG fixes some of this.

Outplayed is subjective. With faster movement speed, bloodlust, and hit detection on the killers side anyone can get a down. The idea is that earns you one hook, but I can see to you one outplay = one sacrificed survivor 🙄

  • To date, being completely honest I still have yet to see a Deathslinger that doesn’t proxy camp.

He really is one of the worst killers they’ve ever put in the game. I think I’d even take a Legion over this chump.

  • I remember why I stopped playing. The survivor experience is absolutely miserable. I took a break for a while and now I’m rank 9. People are either not trying or just complete beginners. Its not worth playing, no matter how hard you sweat personally you’ll never get gens done as you’re pulling survivors off hooks every 5 seconds and they’re all dead by the time 2 gens are done. The killers dont need any skill, they just have to show up. Not to mention most still play like scum, tunneling out baby survivors as fast as possible and none even have any perks like DS to defend themselves.

As killer its nice not having every game be a sweatfest but some are just so braindead and easy I feel bad for the survivors. Its putting me against people who dont stand a chance.

Its like all the good players have quit overnight.

I dont just want to play killer though I want to play survivor. I paid for both roles but it feels like I can only enjoy half a game here.

  • Since rank reset today I’m being put with complete beginners, no more than 2 gens done every game. Im just giving up on hook. No survivor can last more than 5 seconds in a chase.

The killer builds alone are often too oppressive for the survivors to face.

But this is what killer mains want. Ez 4ks who cares if new players enjoy the game?

seriously this game is an absolute state. This is why people get so salty. With 2000 hours experience I shouldnt be put in games where its literally possible to win against bad players. Cant even touch a gen because you’re dragging the other survivors off hooks every 5 seconds, all killer needs is Ruin and its an ez win because while you’re unhooking the baby meg, the baby dwight and claudette will be walking around the edge of the map doing nothing.

Fix. Matchmaking. And. Ranking. Just group us by playtime already

  • Really hope he never gets buffed. If anything he should be nerfed harder. Legion with sloppy/mangled add ons and thana, throw in Ruin too is so boring it really does ruin the game as a whole. Hes just a crappy killer with zero interaction or skill on his part and just gives the survivors red bar after red bar after red bar all game.

Thats 99% of legion builds too. Its not surprising so many players hook suicide against him

  • The drawback is if you’re not picked up within 60 seconds of being unhooked, you’ve wasted a perk slot.

  • @Sinister0208 said:

I feel your pain. I am getting like 2 - 2 - 4 - 9 at rank 11/12 on console - don't play as much now though PH is now my main (roughly 60/40 killer to survivor split). There seems to be always a low rank mixed in with high ranks to cheese the already broken matchmaking system.

I don't know why people are moaning at you for using NOED and don't talk about what the survivors brought. DS, UB and NOED are all freebies that reward you for being outplayed which is crappy game design.

I have also noticed a lot more tunneling and camping after the ruin changes on solo survivor Q. I guess that is from killers being on a even shorter time frame to get kills before the gens pop. Wish they skipped a chapter and focused on game health solely. Both sides need changes to make it more enjoyable for each side.

How does new DS reward you for being outplayed? If you get unhooked and the killer is nearby what on earth are you meant to do?

Sprint burst or dead hard sure, but not DS

  • Killer has never been easier. I can take any killer now and feel like I have a chance to do something. A far cry from 2018 DBD where I wouldn’t dare use certain killers at red rank.

The de-pip squads are few and far between. Most survivors now are inexperienced.

  • Because it’s a strong perk and they usually come with a requirement or downsides. You shouldn’t just be able to slap on a perk and then have increased walking speed all game.

They did it with Urban but not originally, and Urban locks you at default walking speed anyway.

  • 1) Ghostface

    2) Legion

    3) Hmm it’s a tough choice between Dead Hard, Adrenaline and NOED. Maybe Sprint Burst as well. Garbage perks that carry bad players. Or maybe I should pick a map like Hawkins.

Ya know what for number 3 I’m gonna gonna go with P3 Claudette

  • 35% wiggle again? Yeah no thanks

DS is fine. If I bump into the person who got unhooked I hit them and leave them in the ground. Its called slugging and it’s surprisingly effective.

  • @Respectfulnancymain said:

I used to hate spirit but now that i main her i found out shes not really that hard to counter

This. When you play her for a while it really does help you predict her next move.

You’re only really boned if you’ve got nowhere to run but forwards.

  • Honestly killer has never been easier. I was destroying groups all day yesterday with little effort.

This isn’t a stealth brag but red ranks are so watered down now most games feel like green rank games. Sure you’ll occasionally get the games with a genrush swf or 4 pro loopers but those games are few and far between. I haven’t seen a good player that knew how to run every tile or link structures together in a while. In fact most red ranks these days are carried heavily by Dead Hard and Adrenaline. DS isnt so bad its easy to play around.

  • DS, BT - Both fine. Easily avoidable and necessary due to how powerful camp and tunnel can be.

DH, Adrenaline - Literal crutches. These 2 perks alone boost so many survivors, DH for distance can easily add an extra 20 seconds onto a chase. Multiply that by 4 survivors and numerous chases and yeah...

But people here would have you believe that pressing E as you run towards a pallet or window takes skill

  • 3) Hag

    2) Ghostface

    1) Deathslinger

To date I’ve not seen a single Deathslinger that ever strays far from the hook. Not a single one. With Ghostface I think I’ve seen maybe two. Both of these killers are awful to play against.

With Hag and Ghostface and Wraith its obvious people camp due to the killers power making it easy.

With deathslinger you have a slow killer with weak map pressure and a ranged attack, a recipe for a campfest.

  • She must take some. I’ve said it before but low rank Spirits normally do really badly, often relying on proxy camp, tunnel and NOED to score kills.

Now compare that to Billy or New Doc who seem to pretty much win every game against inexperienced to average survivors.

She definitely requires more skill and game knowledge than some other killers.

  • I dont see the issue. Most killers tunnel off hook anyway and most survivors dont run DS or BT so.....

  • I think Freddy needs to be next. Specifically the oblivious status. So many of them proxy camp and tunnel, as survivor you shouldn’t have to run across the map to wake yourself up and then back again before you’re allowed to use BT.

  • Its because of behaviour like that which made them put that stupid dc penalty in the game in the first place

  • @Endstille said:

It is not an excuse it is a fact. Survivors who lose in 5mins deserve to lose as they ######### up. You talked alot of trash about billy, maybe you can finally take DwightOP up on his challenge and just kill them in 5min?

    Also

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2acSrxs4Zrk

Lmao you talk about bad survivors then post a video like that.

Did you even read the description? The swf admits they only did it due to 1) Exploiting a bug, 2) Experienced swf being matched with a low rank killer, 3) Killer played very badly

The bias on this forum is unreal

  • @ich_häng_mal_rum said:

I really like the design of the new map but I hate to play there...

As survivor you don’t find gens, a survivor is hooked near you but you have to run cross the whole map, there are so many dead ends and you have always terrorradius.

As killer you hear a gen but you have to go miles to reach it, to many breakable walls, to many sounds on this map.

Gameplay on Midwich is just horrible.

Thats it, its that which triggers me. Seeing a hooked survivor about 8m away through a wall but realizing you need to run 40m down a few corridors to get there.

Same as killer if you see/hear a gen/survivor.

Its like they didnt learn from Haddonfield, Badham, hawkins or grim pantry...

Love how everything has to be explained in simple terms for survivors. Gen done in 17 seconds has no counter, a team getting wiped out is their very own fault.

1 gen was done, which required multiple BNPs (only 1 use per trial) and toolboxes get used up quickly too. Killer still went on to 4k

why am I even explaining this? Why are we comparing 1 gen to a full team of survivors?

  • and there we go 😂😂😂 ITS ALL THE SURVIVORS FAULT!! You didnt see the Oni coming around the corner at 200mph!

Meanwhile killer fails to pressure gens or gets greedy in chased and its never the killers fault they get genrushed against a good team.

Yes, this thread, which was opened 20 minutes ago, didn't receive 10 replies per minute nonstop. You'll find that that's the norm.

The genspeed videos often do :)

and come on Orion, you already know about the bias

  • What happens when the bot is slugged for the 4k though? Do they lie there and recover? Or do they crawl around for you endlessly while the killer follows them?

  • Love how the gen speed videos have 200 replies and this has none. Nobody complains when a killer wrecks a team in a few minutes. Its just gonna be the “bad survivors” excuse.

Really shows the bias in the community. Both sides have the potential to quickly defeat the other side.
