The case for disconnection bots
After seeing the post from @A_Can_Of_Air it seems that some people are apprehensive about the possible addition of bots (which replace a disconnected player) to the main game. So I thought I'd try and convince the unbelievers with a possible scenario.
You queue up for a survivor game. In the lobby, one of your teammates switches to a pink-haired nea with a flashlight right before hitting the ready button. You spawn in with her, and she sprints away towards a killer spawn location, announcing her intention to subvert the expectations of normal gameplay by chasing the killer around for the whole match. Sadly she's only able of getting a few clicks in before being bonked on the head, twice, within the space of ten seconds. Back in the real world, a darkness envelops the nea player, who raises an ethernet cable to their lips, and bites it neatly in two as if it were a strand of well-cooked spaghetti.
Now if you're a ps4 survivor like me this is usually the point you start wondering why exactly you queued 10 minutes for this experience. BUT, not long after these events, while on your routine totem inspections, you notice the neon haired warrior princess herself. She's happily repairing a generator without a care in the world. It's the teammate you've always dreamed of.

I absolutely love the way you phrased this entire post. Please become a narrator.
You have a knack for story-telling. Nice one!
What happens when the bot is slugged for the 4k though? Do they lie there and recover? Or do they crawl around for you endlessly while the killer follows them?
Hopefully the former. Someone who plays on mobile might have a better idea
Thanks! ☺️
