Today's update was for bugfixing, it made no mention of compound 21.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/YFTJMVS5BZ3A/bugfix.jpg
the tweet by BHVR said that this was a comprehensive list of the changes too.
https://twitter.com/DeadByBHVR/status/1305877161723727875/photo/1
Check in game. The text has definitely changed.
Which is half the issue, they don’t include all changes in the notes so people are never sure whats intentional and what is a bug.
Compound 21 though has definitely received the nerf already.
-
Definitely Claudette. All day every day. My favourite is when she makes this really short « WUH » as she backflips.
Or when you do a grab and she does this a really high pitched squeal 😂
-
It has been changed today.
16m for 6 seconds previously down to 8m for 3 seconds now.

Well what is with DH into a Pallet just to waste extra time of the Killer? Especially in Tile of the Map where a strong Pallet is and you can't Mindgame that?
That’s the irony. They complain about no counterplay yet have no issues with things like this that cuck M1 killers.
”break the pallet and chase” is the reply, at which point the survivor makes it to another pallet. Depending on the enviroment where its used it can be an extra 20-30 seconds per chase or even an abandoned chase at the press of a button with zero counterplay.
But its Pyramidhead that needs the nerf 🙄
-
It’s pretty entitled to complain about OoO being OP. Spirit and PyramidHead nerfs are the priority right now.
-
Lmao. 200iq play. This guy is the next Otz
-
I dont know why people are saying this isn’t tournament worthy.
Watching a survivor get an escape due to a 4% kobe and DS was the kind of epic play you’re not gonna see in any other game.
-
I reported one of these months ago and its been left open despite video evidence. Even if they weren’t gonna do anything you think they would close the report. Saw the same guy like a week later and I lobby dodged.
Theres so many because nothing gets done. I think Tru3 has had the same guy doing this a few times despite reports.
Instead all we get is a dc penalty so you’re stuck in a game with these cheaters.
-
I don’t usually give them the hatch but I give them a chance. As in I don’t slug for the 4k because its kinda boring. Then its whoever finds hatch first which often seems to be them.
If they had a DC, or a noob team then I give hatch. Or maybe if it walk past it.
Other day I got the last survivor down as the other died on the hook. I picked them up and the second I picked them up the hatch spawned right under them lol I let them have the hatch because it was almost fate
-
facepalm
I didn’t even think about this map with Blood favour.
I would expect a lot of DC icons and salt lmao
-
Pyramid at 110% speed. Lol yeah if you want to gut the killer.
Most survivors loop with the pallet in a straight line so they can Dead Hard for distance and screw M1 killers with no counterplay. They don’t like a killer that actually had counterplay to their BS.
Just loop the pallet in the other direction, so that the pallet is on the curve, that way PH is not guaranteed at all. You can still DH for distance with no counterplay. Also stop being greedy at loops. If you let PH get to the point where he has the direct line and correct distance on you thats on you. Drop earlier if needed.
Play as PH and you can see that good survivors can run him long enough for the rest to get the gens done.

TricksterShadow is really good, I’ve been watching his YT videos for a while and he plays every killer and does a lot of analysis games that are really interesting. I hope more people check him out after seeing him in the tournament because he definitely deserves more viewers.
I really liked him in the tourney too. Wasn’t he the only one that won with PH? He did my boy proud.
-
Lol they say this as they dead head for distance to save themselves, jump in a locker with DS to scare you away, use unbreakable or deliverance at the end to make a hatch escape, or have adrenaline pop to zip away from you at endgame at full health. Hypocrites.
Any survivor that complains about BBQ is a moron. I say this as someone who has played a lot of survivor. If the killer is chasing you down from 40+m away then hes not camping/tunneling. You can’t have it both ways. Id rather the killer come find me than sit around the hook. Its more fair on everyone. I feel its the Blendette types that hate it the most. They’d rather hide in the bushes and let everyone else die and BBQ goes against their playstyle
-
Pyramid is fine. He’s only getting the hit if you run in a straight line towards a window/pallet. If you’re playing a Pyramid head learn not to do this. Its like survivors don’t think.
In the exact same scenario vs most other killers, if the survivor dead hards for distance they get a free vault/pallet with NO COUNTERPLAY and nobody complains. Seems the other side having no input or counter on vaults is only ok when it benefits survivors.
Heres another tip, a lot of pallet loops have an almost rectangle shape [====], with the pallet on the right end of that. I cant draw a diagram as im on mobile but PyramidHead needs to push you around where he has you running in a straight line towards the pallet. If he doesnt know what hes doing then try to loop him the other way, so that you pass the pallet as you come around the corner. This stops him getting the angle and he will not get you with POTD. If he pushes you the way that benefits him, then you drop the pallet early than normal just like you would against LF, Freddy, Clown etc
Playing games last night and seeing survivors use exhaustion perks to extend chases with no counter. Knowing someone is waiting in a locker with Head On but no counter other than waiting for them to make a mistake. Some guy I wasnt tunnelling but hes at full health and on a gen, I go near and hear him walk into a locker, surely his DS has expired? Nope pull him out and take the stun. Guess what? NO COUNTER.
These people say PH takes no skill yet watch them in game and notice how their entire gimmick revolves around finding the strongest loop on the map and just running around it in circles over and over again, knowing full well most killers don’t have anything in their kit to deal with that. Playing M1 killers and having survivors abuse the mothers dwelling windows, so much skill, so much fun.
I hate to say it but the killer mains here were right. Some people really want any killer that has even a bit of a chance nerfed. Its like any killer that has a chance to get a hit HAD to be nerfed but anything with no counter on the survivor side is perfectly fine.
Survivors want killers like the older ones where the survivor is always perfectly safe at a pallet and they control the chase. Yeah nobody is denying thats more fun but the 4 controlling chases vs the 1 is why you never saw any of those killers in the tournament because they are not viable.
-
I tried it out. Undying, Ruin, Haunted Grounds.
Undying went first, then Ruin, Haunted Grounds left untouched.
Feels bad man. What are the odds? I swear they programmed the first totem cleansed to have a 90% chance of being Undying.
-
I’ve said this for ages and people argued with me till they were blue in the face.
Spirit is overrated. She’s very good but she’s not unstoppable. She’s 110%, even her phase walk only gets her so far across the map, often not far enough and if you use the full charge for mobility then she’s gonna be eating a 15 second cooldown before she can use it in a chase. Every wrong read she makes on a survivor too puts her on cooldown and you can see that good survivors can extend a chase against her pretty well.
Hence why I defended her and said she’s not OP. Yeah she had weak add ons in the tourney but still all you need is 4 people on comms to spread out the gens and she’s gonna struggle.
Whats funny is we saw one Billy and he looked incredibly dominating. 4/5 hooks before a single gen was done. With the way the SWF kept trying to spread the gens I think Billy and Blight (in future tourneys) would be better picks than PyramidHead. At least if the map isn’t too pallet heavy like say Ormond.
-
The worst part is as survivor the downstairs windows were always closed for me in mothers dwelling.
As killer as expected the strong window is always open. Survivors just use their exhaustion perks to get here then abuse the hell out of the windows. Nerf spirit/pyramid head though because “tHeY tAkE nO SkIlL”, but using exhaustion perks and running in circles around the most busted windows on any map is esports level gameplay 🙄
-
Do what Oh Tofu does. Use them on any Blendettes you get in your lobby.
-
Whenever this happens to me the killer slugs for the 4k. It's so boring and unfair on everyone thats stuck in the game still.
-
I came to report this too. It has been in the game since last year. You vomit on them, see the survivor raise their hands, hear them scream, yet no infection.
-
Everyone used to not heal in her early days but at some point last year/this year it changed and now everyone heals.
-
I dont like them as it takes longer to cancel the slam. I see what you mean about being good training wheels though.
-
I just tried it for the first time. It seems very situational, its not consistent enough to be a good perk imo. It either blocks off pallets you don’t need or its on cooldown.
-
lmao I thought I was the only one. Don't really want a survivor that hides in the corner of the map waiting for the hatch while everyone else does gens.
-
Because what other choice does Nurse have? She moves extremely slow. Half the perks would be utterly useless on her if they didn’t.
-
True fact - Nurse actually has less counterplay than Spirit, it's just not as complained about because Spirit is so common and good Nurses are quite rare these days.
As for Pyramidhead...
https://clips.twitch.tv/PrettyInnocentCrabTwitchRPGYou can see just the slightest step is enough to avoid his POTD attack, and ideally he needs you running in a straight line towards the pallet to get the hit, if he comes round at an angle thats what happens.
-
Find an alarm clock or get another survivor to wake you up.
-
Legion - Injures survivors too easily. For how easy he does it, having to hold M1 to heal over and over again is very harsh. The alternative is to just stay one shot all game which again seems unfair. It's very dull if you want to work unsafe gens you need to heal and he will have you healing over and over and over and over and over again. God help you if he brings thana, dying light and uses mangled add ons.
Ghostface - Pure stealth, no speed penalty like pig, no unlock like wraith he can just walk around a blind corner and swing. Then there is his buggy reveal. Barely ever works. You spend so long trying to get it to work that by that point he has either exposed you or has you 90% anyway. He can duck behind a corner resetting your reveal progress, but he keeps his stalk progress. Finally he's going to be constantly moving, so if you see him, start revealing him, then he walks past a tree before it's complete it cancels your progress but now he has an indicator showing him your location so you just gave yourself away for nothing.

Here's my favourite spirit change, that would make her more fun to verse, and doesn't kill her at the same time, otz came up with it.
Remember old Freddy? When you were in the dream transition, you could see glimpses of him. Maybe every 2 seconds, you can see a glimpse of spirit while she is phasing, this would also increase her skill cap, since spirits can do actual skillful techs, like faking their direction. Or you can give her blue scratchmarks when she's phasing, but I like the glimpses more.
lol that would obliterate her. Her phase isn't long enough for her to do anything with that.
-
Meh I'm not that keen on him. I don't really enjoy any killer whose ability gets rendered useless by Dead Hard, especially so with Nurse/Blight because even if you line up your shot well you're going to end up stunned and on cooldown and you're dependent on the survivor to make a mistake. Likewise with Huntress/Deathslinger. Add to that his lack of ability to counter loops and I just can't see myself playing him very often. It's not something I enjoy.
-
Was Clown in the early days, now Pyramid Head. Dabbled with Spirit for a bit a long time ago. Mostly though I cycled between killers. However I'm on a PH spree at the moment.
I like the chases most so I'll sacrifice map pressure to play a killer that's good in the chase. I prefer the fast paced chase - chase - chase gameplay rather than the slower more strategical gameplay of some other killers. Not only is PH good in a chase, but he even doesn't need to mess about with the slow hooking process, and he has some surprisingly good tracking to find them even faster so yeah he's the most fun in a long time for me.

The funny thing is that you literally outplayed yourself in your own comment.
"You can juke both of them" - "Predict their next move".
You literally just said that's it's a coin toss and has nothing to do with skill. Only guessing luck.
Its not luck, thats why good players juke baby spirits for multiple gens. Understanding the game, understanding your opponent, understanding the best plays for each character in that situation, all of this helps you make your prediction and execute your next move.
Even if its just luck then whats wrong with the survivor and killer having equal input? As opposed to M1 killer vs pallet where it’s all in survivor control?
That’s how a lot of competitive games work like fighting games, there is a lot of prediction. Not just “press button now im safe”

Only watched the last hours of the finals, but it was interesting. The first tournament with a serious price pool and a broader audience. Well done Hexy. I was only surprised by the amounts of pyramid heads, he still lacks map pressure and snowball potential. Huntress and Billy are still better against competitive teams imo. I hope the devs are watching this as well and take some notes for balance.
Pyramidhead is getting nerfed despite him getting utterly stomped in most games.
The one Billy we saw had an incredibly dominating performance but for some reason all these people just panicking from the nerf and listening to the meta.
-
yeah for 4 Meg swf lobbies. That 1% running speed would be meta
-
As survivor it will try to find you the lowest rank survivors to be matched with, starting at grey ranks. If it fails to find any it will slowly work its way up trying to find the most potato survivors it can.
As killer it will start by searching for survivors with 10,000 hours playtime, and then work its way down trying to find you the most optimal survivors possible
-
You don’t need to be a tournament player to do what those guys did.
Gens take 80 seconds to repair solo whether you’re a 10,000 pro or a 2 hour beginner. Sure theres great skill checks but thats irrelevant for now. Fact is even a beginner is left alone could finish a generator in pretty much the same time as a 10,000 tournament player.
Next the survivors mostly split up and ensured the last few gens were miles apart. It doesn’t take a tournament level player to understand that 3 gen = bad, gens spread far and wide = good. This tactic wrecked pretty much everyone but Nurse. Even Spirit was getting stomped by this. Not sure why more people didn’t try Billy to counter this especially when the one we saw had one of the most dominant games in the tournament. 4 hooks before 1st gen.
This is why in red ranks your swfs are so deadly. I play on EU PC servers and most survivors that show their play time range from 2,500 hours - 6,500 hours. It’s insane. There are so many swf of veteran players. Sure they’re not in the tournament mindset but again you don’t need to be, all you need to know is doing gens and not wasting time = escape, and spreading out the gens = good.
That’s all you need and you automatically stop almost all of the roster from having a chance outside of some very unique builds. (Like Otz going all seeing on Saloon).
Which kind of goes back to what everyone has been saying in that a lot of the maps have been too big for most killers to handle.

But they’ll complain if you tunnel them lol

The 104% one I got 139 on the pig and I use em and its bugged.
ffs I’ve been using them and had no idea because I was getting so many points.
-
Which cakes?
the 104% from this year or the 103% from last year? Or both?
Do survivor puddings still work?

@azame said:
What are survivors supposed to do when the killer isnt on them and totems are cleansed or being cleansed by another.
Food for thought.
Not talking about survivors doing gens. That’s not an issue, that’s their objective.
See the examples in my post. Survivors taking a hit then finishing the gen in the killers face while they wipe their weapon etc seems pretty hardcore just to get rid of the gen no? Could have run and had a chase.
-
@BabyDweetMain You say this like it’s a good thing but most killers will be trying to “killrush” during this time. They’ll hard tunnel a survivor out for try to end the game at 5 gens. Survivors being slower on generators does not mean the other side isnt trying to end the game as quickly as possible.
@bubbabrotha Everyone keeps saying bring a map but that’s not viable at all. I have survivors I grinded to all perks, mostly done before you got 2 perks per bloodweb too so thats like a bajillion bloodwebs I’ve been through and I probably only have like 15 maps. You can not reasonably go into every trial with a map, not even close.
-
New Ruin is the Legion of perks, it’s incredibly boring to play against and just results in you holding M1 longer. You hold M1 for 60 seconds, gen is almost complete, killer comes to chase you and you either end up getting hooked or getting away but either way by the time you get back to the generator theres little to nothing left in it because you were solo and nobody else knew about the gen.
Meanwhile in a 4 man swf you just ask someone to go finish it effectively rendering Ruin useless.
That’s why I’m not a fan of this perks design. Its extremely strong (and boring) for solo players but not that strong against swf.
For this reason I think its better to find the totem first before starting a gen otherwise you might just end up wasting your time. If its a macmillan or autohaven map you might be ok, if its an indoor map you might as well just give up.

In my own personal experience your statement is wrong. I strictly play solo survivor so I can’t speak for swf but when I play in any other rank besides red I win probably around 70% of the time. As soon as I get into red ranks that turns around big time. Out of 30 games in a row I played last night the killers 4k’d in 28 of them, the other 2 were 3k with a hatch escape. I escape MAYBE 15% of the time (that’s being generous) in solo red ranks. I particularly don’t like playing in red ranks because I swear I get the sweatiest killers that have 5k worth of hrs and it’s clear my other teammates and I have hundreds of hrs and stand no chance whatsoever. I wished so badly that mmr was going to work out. I have 500 hrs and for some reason getting paired with killers with literally 3k hrs and above consistently. It’s not fun for me and I can’t imagine much fun for them as well feeling like they are going up against baby survs. I love OhTofu but literally had to block him cause I was getting him as killer quite often. The devs NEED to implement something whereas this huge gap in play hrs is not an issue anymore. Until then I will purposely de pip to go back to green and purple ranks where I belong with killers and teammates with similar hrs as me and games are actually fun. Rant over.
Lol it’s amazing isn’t it. Killers with 5k hours and you get survivors in the 100-300 hour range.
Then you play killer and all the survivors I’ve seen this week go from 2,600 minimum to over 6,000 hours.
I’m led to believe that it’s an issue with solo queue. Its like aside from streamers most veterans have just ditched solo survivor altogether. Sadly I’ve given up on it too for this very reason. I’m not too bothered about going up against sweat lord killers but the matchmaking needs to give me survivors that are able to deal with that first.
-
I just tried it with Devour Hope for the first time. Both totems gone within first minute lol money well spent.
That said it does protect Ruin most games. Well actually 90% of the time Undying goes first but the Ruin totem gets a much better spot and manages to stay for a long time so I guess I can’t complain.
Had a couple of games where Ruin kept respawning. Inner strength should be meta by now. Its a good perk. 2 totems to start with, 2 more ruin spawns thats 4 totems total used before they took out both perks.
I’ve always hated the “do bones” excuse but if just two survivors did 1 dull totem each then Ruin could only ever respawn once.
Its one of those perk combos thats good on Clown as it buys him map pressure and has a counter, but is probably hard to deal with on a Nurse/Billy as they will be applying so much pressure to the survivor team.
-
@Dwinchester said:
The only problem is that survivors have the tools to stop killers from tunneling, but killers cant do anything about the gen rush.
But yeah, I play as dirty as the survivors do. If I have to camp or tunnel to win, I most certainly will.
I do feel like when you hit a survivor and they’re in that speed burst period, they shouldn’t be able to repair a gen. Maybe that’s just me though . Delay should just be long enough for the killer weapon wipe.
-
No the game is full of trolls. Some people just find their entertainment annoying other players.
-
I’m not really a fan of Ayrun anyway but theres no doubt team agony really did impress throughout, Fingerguns especially, he had a few low points but when he was on top form he was on top form.
I liked that other guy too, trickster? Can’t remember what team he was in.
Otz gets credit as well for not being afraid to play the oddball choice.
Really the tourney just shows you can’t beat survivors splitting the gens unless you’re Nurse and that survivors - even when you think they’re down and out - will always have a second chance up their sleeve.
What a glorious game and incredible tournament.
-
@Mercês I agree. Never heard of Fingerguns before but he really impressed me for most of this. Glad Agony won.
I take back what I said about DS, boy that came in clutch in 3 end games.
-
Anyone else watching now? That 4% and DS out the exit gates 😂
Never count a survivor out.
