  • Wow a NERF to this already bad killer? His cages are bad anyway since they spawn so far away survivors can immediately rescue most of the time.

Also, funny they fix "facecamping" on cages but not on hooks.

He is so bad already: His cages hurt him most of the time: Important perks like BBQ and Pop don't work, cages spawn so far away that when survivors spread out the cage spawns next to them for an instant rescue. Avoiding DS and BT isn't that big of a deal since you normally don't tunnel anyway.

His ranged attack can't co over holes or over different heights like stairs and thus it's completely abusable by survivors.

His BP are messed up and so are his emblem points. He is a complete mess and any decent survivor can just avoid his ranged attack and win against him.

    I don't understand the nerf.

  • True. It's such an underrated perk that negates most powers of stealth killers.

I believe it was never intended for the ranged attack to go up inclines, or over gaps. It's already a great zoning tool I don't think it needs any buffs. Except maybe inflicting torment on hit.

The fact that his power can be exploited by stairs is not okay.

I've been on Xbox and I've only played against 2 Pheads in the past 3 days. That's pretty bad for a new killer, i've played against more Deathslingers than him. I never see the new survivor being used either, makes me think this chapter was very poorly executed, I've heard everyone hating on the new map too. I'm all in favor of new content but lately it seems they can't get that right either, I feel like they need a new strategy in terms of creating new chapters...they need to start asking test groups of players like the big names of streaming who would have to sign a NDA etc to see if they would think it would be a good idea to add certain chapters into the game, because honestly since Stranger Things, the chapters have been pretty lame. The Cursed Legacy DLC wasn't bad but the previous 2 chapters have brought more useless perks into the game that no one cares to use really...

    Yeah he is pretty bad.

  • @Every1poops said:

I hope not. I'm hopefulthey work out the bugs but I'm quite enjoying him as is.

You think it's funny not being able to hit survivors on stairs or through holes on the floor with your attack? You think it's not just a "last minute decision" to make cages not work with any perks? He feels really unfinished and I bet he will get adjustments in the future.

  • Legion. His trailer was different from his ingame power. He had potential to be a "swap personas killer" or "become a survivor killer" but his ability is just the most boring and uninspired one of them all. Also, as a survivor it's just annoying having to mend all the time.

  • That's what happens when you don't add a "streamer mode" although lots of people request it. Just do the bare minimum devs, keep doing that...

Well, on the other side I am not surprised they chose tru3 as their victim since he has a bad behavior and is toxic and salty as well and blames other's for his own mistakes all the time.

No it wouldn't because the devs already did that previously, with a similar shape. It was terrible. Hatchet hit boxes have changed in size, shape, and they found that the basketball hurtbox works well with the giant pill shaped hit box that survivors drag around.

There's a balance to be struck and dedicated servers will soon have more validation checks implemented to slow everything down and check if the basketball really did hit the pill around the corner.

They did that on p2p connection, didicated servers actually buff the huntress a lot already, this change would just make it fairer.

  • Deathslinger C? You must be really bad at aiming then.

Do you have a clip of that? And yes, I do watch scorpionz.

Sadly not. It happened over half an hour basically, I still have hate whispers on my twitch account tho lol.

  • Once I watched his stream and said that he didn't play optimal last round and that it was not the survivors fault because he commited too hard to one chase as the doctor while people were on a gen next to him. He claimed that I was just an "entitles survivor main" (although I am clearly not, play more killer than survivor actually) and his entire chat witchhunted me. I told him about that and he did NOTHING to stop what was going on, he actually encouraged the people in chat to go crazy over my opinion. Like #########??? That was the point where I personally found out about his bad personality and stopped watching him. That was like a year ago. Recently, out of curiosity I started watching him again but I can't stand to watch him more than 5 mins. He is as salty and annoying as always, thinks he is the best and always claims to know whats up because of psychology theories that describe why other people are wrong and he is right. OMG I can go on forever. I don't understand how other people cannot see how manipulating his behavior is.

    Also, his "experiments" prove nothing.

Survivors are stupid. It's easy to win against them most of the time.

Also, have you never watched and other streamers who are actually good at the game? Scorpionz never uses any addons or perks on spirit and 4K's all the time, his Pig doesn't need anything except for a few mediocre perks to 4k most of the time.

I still remember him in 2016 making assumptations way too quickly, like saying that at the release, Wraith was the strongest killer in the game and Billy was the weakest.

He was too quick on making such assumptations many times, but that was the one that i remember as the most, as it was the silliest.

Also, when I watched few of his streams in early 2019, he still had some problems with understanding certain game mechanics and mostly how some perks work, due to his confusion he thought something was bugged or was completely oblivious to some aspects.

Heard him complain a bit too, but who cares about such stuff.

Thats my issues with him, havent watched him in almost a year now.

I remember he found out that the Nurse is slower than any other killer in 2019! It's amazing how you can't know that after such a long time playing this game. There's many other examples like that that proves he doesn't really quite unterstand the game as others do.

  • Tru3Ta1ent's ego is beyond this world. His skills are just average in relation to his hours in this game. He is salty all the time, never thinks HE makes mistakes and it's always the survivor's or the game's fault if he loses.

Did you get access to a different version of Midwich?

Because there are not "TONS" of god pallets, it is more like 2-3 God Pallets. The Map is bad for both sides.

Any map with more than 1 god pallets is OP. And the school has 3 to 4 all the time. It's stupid.

  • @Kebek said:

They probably don't want to make addon dependant killers so they just don't make really strong addons.

Most killers are not addon dependant, they just have good and useful addons.

  • @BigBubs said:

Well , actually you can get them all in one frenzy when you are using the green frenzy duration addon lul. Or at least 2. You also know where they are even before you use frenzy. And with the other addon you have have a chance of getting back to at least one of them still being injured and down them.

Still, they have sprint, know when I come and even if I got all 3 it wouldn't stop their pressure.

  • It's easy. Follow the killer when he is chasing someone. Also, remember if he sees you and you DONT RUN you are not in a chase. So you can camp a pallet, drop it, maybe vault it back if he goes around and you get 10 seconds easily in addition.

  • He is definitely stronger and better to play but it's nowhere near enough to make him viable and get him to the level of the other killers. I wish he had a secondary ability and direct hits of bottles did something else, maybe a small stun, whatever.

  • Uhm Doctor is not S tier. It's Nurse, Spirit, Freddy, Billy and broken hitbox huntress who are the best killers at the moment.

Couldn't disagree more. You can't seriously want another killer with knife 🔪 surely.

I want Pennywise, Candyman or Pinhead. They are really cool and unique, alien is just too similar to demo and nothing special. Also cosmetics would be really limited for alien.

  • Alien would be the most boring addition to the game in my opinion. We already have one monster (demogorgon), a second one, alien, would be too similar. I'd rather have them come up with an original monster killer than getting alien from the movies.

  • She is bad and totally boring.

Half of her ability (crouch and ambush) are almost completely useless. You lose so much time when crouch walking since you are super slow. Ambush is totally useless as well since you can't use it in a chase properly and sprint burst hard counters it.

The only "good"-ish thing she has is the traps. Yeah just press m2 on a downed survivor. So much enjoyment in doing that. It's just so passive and boring.

That's why I play Pig the least out of all killers. 50% of her ability is not used and not useful, the rest, traps, are just boring to use and don't require any skill and is not an active ability either. She basically is just a m1 killer with traps. Nothing special. Any other killer has more active useful abilities than her.

  • McLean said it one year ago that they will be nerfed soon. BHVR is just slow af but will eventually do it.

  • @Enlyne said:

Solo survivor which I play almost all the time is the most obnoxious experience in this game I've ever had, played a lot of killer aswell getting those annoying SWF squads which make your day impossible, and still manages to be less aggravating than solo survivor.

Take for example your average annoying killer with mori + tunneling strat, where your teammates instead of already knowing what to do (rush goddamn gens) They come face first to save you, and there you go, you're out of the match with 3k points because they couldn't get the message right.

The thing is with a SWF team you can counter tunneling killers easily. You take the aggro, tank hits, body block etc. With solo survivors that's almost impossible to do.

  • @LALYTHIA said:

I have to agree with the title of this post. SWF aren't every single match. Getting a toxic, inconsiderate killer and/or a bad team is pretty much every match. I just had 4 in a row. Days like today make me never want to play this game again. If it wasn't for occasionally playing with friends and family, I probably would have by now.

To be honest as a killer I encounter SWF so often, they admit it in the after game chat and it's very obvious.

However, when playing survivor solo I feel like I'm matched with 3 other solo survivors so often.

DbD mobile has some improvements for solo survivors (seeing each other's perks in the lobby), I hope this will be added on the PC version as well.

  • Why did weaker killers not get a rework like the doctor did last patch or a weak perk rework? I thought there's a map and balance team. This mid chapter patch pretty much only changes maps and bug fixes so what is the balance team doing.

  • @Volfawott said:

How much is it is a meme the one thing I hate about survivor when it comes to Dead by daylight.

I can't stand when I get absolutely potato teammates when I play solo.

David who is apparently allergic to gens literally only goes for saves. Altruism is great and all but it's pretty pointless how many people you have saved off hook when everyone is dead or on death hook and we've only done two gens (correction I've only done two gens)

Meg who I'm convinced that looking at her sprint burst indicator lit up is preventing her from having a heart attack and combusting into flames. Why because it's the only explanation I can think of to why this girl decides to crouch and walk everywhere.

Claudette who has watched way too many ochido videos and tries to be incredibly toxic only for none of that to work resulting her to get downed pretty quickly at which stage she'll disconnect or try again with the same as stupid results. Honestly I don't know which one to worst.

Only made worse by when I play Killer apparently everybody is on the pulse and knows exactly what they're doing.

Min looping is absolutely on point and she's top here when it comes to the 360 so I have to keep leaving her.

Kate is apparently a generator goddess and is cranking them out like nobody's business. Often coming equipped with prove thyself and is hitting every great with skill checks.

Nea who has the luck of the gods on her side and apparently always manages to run to a really safe brain dead loop.

Dwight who I have somehow managed to not see all game besides butt dancing at the gates but has been doing everything behind the scenes and is top of the leaderboard on points

It's not a meme. It's the absolute truth.

  • @ClickyClicky said:

Its a problem with the games balance. Its not quite balanced for a good 4 man swf so killers are unhappy, but it’s also not balanced for 4 solo survivors so survivors are unhappy too. Hence why killers are both OP and UP at the same time.

Worse still is all the bs in the game that stacks.

Play solo survivor, nobody in the lobby has items? Here’s a top tier killer with red add ons, NOED and an ebony mori.

Want to chill with a low-mid tier killer with decent but nothing special add ons? Here’s a 4 man on comms with their best items.

This is such a great comment, you really understand the game. I hope the devs can make it better in the future.

Also, new survivors usually rank up very quickly because it's quite easy to do that. One unhook, juking the killer a bit (don't have to loop, just waste pallets) and a bit of gen repair is usually enough to pip and get to rank 10 and below easily. Thus, those new survivors with only a few hours get matched with other survivors that are much better than them in the same rank (hello rank reset tomorrow, makes things even worse than that). Same goes for killer to some extend.

  • @DwightOP said:

Solo is the worst experience. I have nearly 4k hours. I just don't play survivor anymore without friends. To stressful. To annoying. To frustating. Either I play swf or killer. Or not at all. Bhvr is ignoring solos for to long and this is going to backfire very hard sooner or later

Same here. I just can't seem to have a normal match when I solo queue. I only play with friends now.

  • @Peanits said:

Of all the people you have on the ground, you picked up the one that was the least recovered (furthest away from being able to use Unbreakable if they have it) and the only one that was unhooked recently. The smart move would have been to pick up one of the other survivors in case they're running Unbreakable, preferably the first person you downed since they're the most recovered.

    ANTI TUNNELING PERK BTW.

He literally hooked someone, got 2 downs and the 4th survivor still gets rewarded for having this perk thats SUPPOSED TO STOP TUNNELING? This is just not what the perk's intention is and is just OP.

  • If thanatophobia made sure every survivor healed EVERY legion would run it all the time. You realise wasting time through healing is a GOOD thing for killers? It's less time survivors spend on gens.

  • @Peanits said:

I don't mean to disagree with you by any means, because yes, survivors are most efficient when they're working on separate generators. Though that isn't what we were aiming to change with this update.

What we are looking to get rid of are the situations where a generator goes off before you could possibly get to it. Things like spawning in the opposite corner of the shack in Ormond and having all four survivors spawn in the shack. Outside of one or two killers, there's no conceivable way you could have gotten there in time to stop it from going off.

The goal is to give you the tools to go stop that generator from being powered, not to stop generators from being powered when you're not stopping them.

"Get rid of situations where a generator goes off before you could possibly get to it" But then you just put the nerf into Prove Thyself. That doesn't make sense. If survivors run PT it's the same and doesn't solve ANYTHING. What's the logic there? I don't get your balance decisions. You contradict with yourself.

  • @BBQnDemogorgon said:

If they remove a lot of pallets in the middle it won't be a big deal at all imo

The window was the problem, not the pallets.

  • @xenotimebong said:

Probably because this entire map needs a do-over. The building is too strong but most of the rest of the map is terrible and full of dead zones. If they just nerfed the building the map would become awful for survivors, it needs totally rebalancing so it’s interesting for both sides IMO.

If they just removed the infinite window it would mostly be fine. Asylum is still really strong but without the window survivors won't immediately go to the asylum once they are chased and be safe.

Also, why is mother's dwelling not reduced in size? It's too big.

  • @KingFrost said:

This would make DS absolutely useless. Might as well just get rid of the perk at that point. At which point we also have to get rid of NoED.

It would do what DS is supposed to do - stop tunneling. Right now survivors can be cocky because of DS and not heal, etc.

  • DS Rework: DS activates for 3 minutes after being unhooked or wiggling off the hook. Hitting a skill check lets you get off the killers grasp like usual. DS deactivates when one of the following conditions are met: When you start repairing a gen, when entering a locker, when healing or being healed, when another survivor is hooked. This would make DS way fairer. It is supposed to be an anti-tunneling perk and not "im invincible for 1 minute and can do whatever I want"-perk.

  • There is an increase of hackers with the recent patch. Before 3.6 hackers had almost no chance to hack but somehow they found a loophole now.

  • It's so bad I don't know why they brought it back with the recent patch without reworking it. It should just shock survivors in the entire circle to make it kinda viable. Your suggestion with the lingering effect is also nice.

  • @OnryosTapeRentals said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1075070#Comment_1075070

Yes they do. They can drastically reduce the generator progress. What if the final generator is at 99% when it gets broken with Pop Goes The Weasel. It's then regressed massively and the killer then has a huge opportunity to win the match still. It's most certainly a second-chance perk.

    There's more too:

    • Hex: No One Escapes Death
    • Bitter Murmur
    • Barbecue and Chilli
    • Blood Warden
    • Corrupt Intervention
    • Discordance
    • Enduring + Spirit Fury
    • Franklin's Demise
    • Hex: Ruin
    • Rancor
    • Surveillance
    • Whispers
    • Hawkin's Underground Complex, Gideon Meat Plant and Lery's Memorial Institute are all statistically more killer-sided.
    • Add-ons like Iridescent Head massively increase the strength and utility of the killer's power.
    • etc.

I'm not saying I'm against any of these perks, maps or add-ons. I'm just pointing out that saying that the game only has survivor-sided things isn't necessarily a true statement.

######### are you referring to? HUGE opportunity to win? Dude POP rips 20 seconds off of one single gen after a hook. Thanatopobia makes gens take 3.2 seconds longer for each injured person. That's nothing compared to a coordinated team with second chance perks and SWF.

Crutch perks make up for bad gameplay. DS, BT, Adrenaline, etc. require no skill to use but they actively help you win a lot. Hex ruin as you are referring to doesn't do anything. Neither does discordance or whispers. They just help you a bit but compared to survivors perks they all are really bad.

AND don't forget there's 4 survivors in each lobby so they have 4 times the amount of potential crutch perks per lobby which is even more insane.

  • @OnryosTapeRentals said:

Killers have second chance perks and crutches too. Killers have maps which are drastically in their favor too. Killers definitely need addressing and adjusting to make them more fun to play but they certainly aren't this disadvantaged.

Other than NOED (which doesn't make you win, nor pip, and can be cleansed easily they have none, just iridescent head is a stupid addon for killers nothing else).

  • I really like this addon! I thought it’s bad but when I tried it it was awesome. It helps you find survivors easily, they get more madness and shocked randomly.

Also, once someone sprinted to unhook a survivor in front of me. The hooked survivor had the charge on him so when the other survivor tried to unhook him he got shocked and interrupted and I could down him.

  • “The ...” like every killer (The Shape, The Pig, etc.)

They did this “joke” already some time ago.

yeah this is why i run MYC, i mean i hate when people camp me as survivor so i don't want to be like that as killer ^^

I guess i'll just try every killer until i make it XD

I'd recommend trapper. Iron graps + agitation and more traps / dark traps. Get lucky and get a survivor into the basement and then trap it, maybe a survivor steps into a trap and you can snowball from there.

    Good luck!

  • I actually got all 5 gens in one match.

You just have to do finish the gen when its at 99% for example. No need to fully complete it.

Just use bond, better together, prove thyself. Find people, finish gens together.

  • I got it first try, I was lucky I think. Got 2 people into the basement, camped them (yeah I know its scummy but the challenge basically forced me to do that), got a third survivor that tried to save them and the 4th one stepped into a trap.

The thing is, if a survivor DCs you dont get the challenge which is stupid.

1 2 3 4 5 6 … 8
