I disagree

I think content leaving the game is a dangerous concept as a whole, but to be entirely honest I dont miss this map too much. Aesthetically it was great, but from a gameplay perspective I hated it. Basically every loop on the map was either useless dogwater or the safest a loop can be without being a straight up infinite.
-
This is a really interesting idea for a killer. He doesn't have any chase abilities, stealth abilities or movement abilities, but he does have what would probably be the strongest slowdown power in the game if it were to be implemented, especially on larger maps. Once they've been dragged into the darkwoods, they're essentially playing a different game entirely until they escape, which I think is a fun idea.
For balance's sake, I do feel like it could use some limitation on how many survivors can be in the darkwoods at once, or how often a survivor can be sent to the darkwoods though.
-
Willing to bet the next map rework is Backwater Swamp.
-
That's not reportable. The whole "toxicity" report thing is basically exclusively for actual hate-speech and threats.
-
Yeah its kinda ridiculous. The even skin I can give her a pass for, because of course she should get a skin for the chinese new year. But since she was going to get that, those other cosmetics she got really shouldve gone to other survivors.
-
You really want to have another thing to have to split your attention between? That's what choosing where your hexes go would result in.
I want hexes to get some love too, but not with the downside of having to add another thing to the list of things I need to keep track of as killer. Kinda wish hexes would just not appear in the map at all until something that would trigger their effect happens. Except for the obvious exceptions where that wouldnt work, like Haunted Grounds.

There are 336 hours in two weeks.
Assuming you get 8 hours of sleep a day, you are awake for 224 of those.
So, this person is definitely not getting 8 hours of sleep and has been playing nonstop during the time he is awake.
Incredible.

Ah yes...a perk that you can use ONCE per trial.
Either introduce basekit mini unbreakable or let us leave a match with no penalty and give killer the kill. I really don't have time to stare at pixelated grass for 4 minutes or because Killers are just terrified of hatches.
Can we please stop with justifying wasting a perk slot to counter cheesy playstyles.
Ps. If you need to slug for 4K then it's not really a 4k. just sayin.
Its not wasting a perk slot if you get slugged regularly enough to benefit from the perk as often as OP would.
-
@Rulebreaker said:
At the risk of sounding callus, maybe run unbreakable or exponential? If nothing else the boons stack.
Legitimately this. If youre not using the tools the devs already give you to counter something that happens to you often, thats just on you.
-
"Hey, everyone is working on a gen or in a chase right now, maybe I should go for the rescue on that dude that's hooked"
That on its own is INCREDIBLY valuable intel.
-
My guess is the original was made to remove to simplify things in the code. Say they want to introduce a new perk revolving around struggling or a bug comes up involving struggling. Now there's only one struggle type to troubleshoot/code around instead of two. Which would free up bandwidth for other things.

It's not removed, it's there if you have any.
I do read feedback that's my job - and I do compile it, I just do not have the time to respond to everything as otherwise I would not get any of my other work done.
Moderators are here to make sure the forums are kept clean and safe for our users so they do comment a lot of ban appeals and how to report etc as these are helpful for our users and players.
I honestly didnt realize that index finger up icon was the BHVR Read thing until just now. Guess there are still some things for me to learn about the new layout, sorry bout that.
Also I hadnt intented to imply that feedback is read, sorry if my comment came off that way somehow. I definitely understand that responding to each and every thing would be completely impossible.
-
The overheat thing was kinda a pointless addition, but it also doesn't feel super impactful. His addons are definitely worse off now though.

I am noticing on the forums lately is repeat posts (mine probably included), and the only time staff replies consistently on posts are asking about ToS topics or how to report. The moderators of this forum should create a master post of topics they have seen and acknowledged, updating said post from time to time
In addition, I believe a "Staff Read" mark should be added to the forum, possibly with a timer of how long someone has stayed on the page to avoid just mass opening threats and exiting. I firmly believe the latter I have mentioned is something that would occur
Overall, I think communication needs to get better, and it doesn't require a live person to constantly provide that feedback. I enjoy the forums, but I also would like new posts on it rather than the same topics reposted in multiple posts
There actually used to be a "BHVR Read" thing on your profile to show which of your posts they've read. Not sure why they removed it when updating the forums.

I do have to admit its kinda wild that flashbang can entirely stop the Wraith in his tracks.
-
I like to run Lightweight Greaves and Cold Steel Manacles on Knight. The Greaves essentially gives him the buffs the devs gave him on PTB, except the speed is noticeable, lasts for 6 seconds flat, and you don't have to have a minimum path length to get it. The Manacles just let you get that boost more often.
I also like Rusted Spike and Honey Locust Thorn together on Deathslinger. They essentially allow me to bring Sloppy Butcher via addons, and apply mangled whether or not I actually get the m1 on a spear shot.
Iridescent Videotape is kinda a gamechanger on Onryo. Its easy to activate its effects, which greatly increases your map mobility/pressure.
Any of the Legions mixtapes are awesome, just cause changing your TR music via addons is honestly the coolest thing ever.
-
If I get pallet stunned by a David and he nae naes on me or some #########, I am immediately uninstalling.
-
To be entirely honest Id like to pretend I never commented on this. Not sure why we cant just delete our own comments.
-
I agree with basically everything you just said. I fully believe that imbalance in the game doesnt come so much from killer powers or survivor perks (bar a few exceptions for both of those), but the map design/size.
-
I think the way it triggers in general needs to be reworked. As a killer, you pretty much always need to be on the move, so standing still even for a few seconds generally isnt a great move.
-
I find SWF frustrating at times, but at the end of the day, people who play SWF are really just people who want to have fun playing a game with their friends. Being able to turn off going against SWF would make their queue times a lot longer for sure, and I don't think anyone should have to deal with longer than necessary queue times.
-
I would definitely love to se some of these. Thunderstorm and Heavy rain specifically would be really cool. Heavy rain/T-Storms can lend themselves really well to a horror experience, and I just like rain in general too :)
Some hail would definitely fit right in in Ormond too.
Sandstorm would be perfect for Eyrie as well. I have my qualms about the maps layout, but I love the aesthetic and a sandstorm would make it even cooler.
-
Imagine wanting to play the character you enjoy, but your queue times are 15 minutes long cause nearly everyone has decided to ban that killer.

It has nothing to do with that, the devs wouldn't have mind wanting to implement stats; but the problem is.... that if say they implement it today; the problem is that they wouldn't be accurate results of all of your statistics progress, for players from the game's launch. It would only be able to track all of your progress since match making system implementation, as that is all the data that they will be able to recorded. For a new player, it is not a problem; but I'd you are a veteran with many hours into the game and started playing way before the matchmaking system update; then devs would not be able to gather all of those results and stats for them.
They mentioned and awnser this question a bunch of times, it seems like they would never implement it because of it.
I dont think it would be entirely impossible. Some achievements track certain stats, so its possible that theyre still tracking those numbers. The MMR system we have now was gathering info for months before it was officially implemented, for all we know they could be doing something similar with player stats.

Myers is the only killer in the game with a hard cap on how much use can get out his power. That alone I think is reason to put him at/near the bottom of killer tier lists.

Hubris could need +15s duration, though. Unless you dedicate your build to it with Endurance and Spirit Fury, things need to work out absolutely perfect with the stars aligning, for you to catch a survivor in its tiny 20s window.
I think you can get decent use out of it on its own on Deathslinger. You can hit them at range, but your downing attack is a basic attack, making him a ranged killer that can actually use Hubris.

@LuthirFontaine said:
Don't you guys already have noed and a couple lock out the exit gates ones? Why do killers always say they never have any second chance perks?
Yeah, we got NOED, Terminus, Blood Warden, No Way Out, Remember Me, Rancor.
Also Hubris exists now, which can punish survivors for pallet stuns pretty hard.

A lack of reading comprehension, most likely caused by the failures of their education system, plague a lot of users on these forums.
Don't take it personally - It's best to just ignore people like that who are intent on having conversations with themselves.
Yeah, some people on these forums will just kinda manifest something you didn't say out of thin air.
Made a post one time talking about how the way Remember Me is designed encourages tunneling. Some dude came into the post and said "wow, people really think Remember Me is OP now? What's next, Predator OP?". Dude, no, that's a whole new sentence, where did you get that from?
-
I'd say it's somewhat beginner friendly. Theres a lot to unlock and learn, but the core gameplay loop is pretty simple to get a hang of.
-
This. The fact that Myers is the only person who has a hard cap on how often he can use is power is a large part of why I say hes the weakest killer in the game.
-
Many people have suggested this, and it doesnt change the fact that is a horribly abusable concept.
-
Feng is chinese, and this is the chinese new year event. Normally I'd agree with you, but this is the one event where Feng gets a pass.
-
My guess is gonna be original chapter, 1 killer, 1 survivor with a map rework.
-
Completely unviable on nearly every map. That being said, on indoor maps it can be a lot of fun if you don't care about losing.
-
She's chinese.
It's the chinese new year event.
I'd say she gets a pass for this one.

I am not even going to think what that is, or what it's mean to be...
I imagine it was going to clap.
-
I have only ever seen survivors grab the flag during the PTB preceding his official release. I have never seen anyone grab it in live.
-
Some additional mechanics would be awesome to see.
I would like to also see some other things that Im not really sure how to categorize. Things like viewable player stats, or unlockable cosmetics like Bubba's old survivor faces. I understand why the faces were removed, but unlockable cosmetics is such a cool idea I'd like to see more of.
-
Just run breakdown.

this will not fix hex in any way, in a week everyone will remember the spawn locations again and we will be back
Even then, the swamps have been kinda skipped over when it comes to reworks. All the maps that came out before it have been reworked now, and now some maps that came out after it have been reworked. I think it's really its turn.
-
At the very least we need new totem spawns so that hexes have more of a chance of surviving.
-
Fellas, is it toxic to play the killers you enjoy?

You forget rancor.. how tf would you use it if every time you downed the obsession they're not the obsession anymore?
It would definitely effect Rancor, but it wouldn't make it entirely abusable. On one hand yeah, you wouldn't really be able to kill the obsession, which is a pretty noticeable downside. But it could end up having an application similar to NOED. You down the obsession, now someone else can be insta-downed, down them and then go for the next person. The exposed can only apply to one person at a time, but it could end up being spread to everyone at some point, with no way for them to break the cycle.
-
4 especially is something I wish people were more aware of. I get accused of tunneling a lot when I just keep bumping into the same person by pure coincidence.
Also there are so many times where I was patrolling an area and I head back to hook, and the survivor gets unhooked while I'm already on my way back. When I get back, lo and behold theres an injured survivor but the person who unhooked them is nowhere to be seen. In that scenario, Im not chasing you to tunnel you, Im chasing you because you're the only one I see.

I mean that it'll free up other perks... but that being said
But slowing down the Gate opening has pros and cons... in certain situations
Well the whole point of running Remember Me is to slow down gate opening speeds. If you think it would be better that survivors open doors at a normal speed, not using Remember Me is an option.

Yea I mistyped... Removing the Obsessions effect just undoes what the perk was meant for
Well I feel like the obsession not having their door open speed slowed down is kinda an unnecessary drawback for a perk thats only useful during the endgame anyways. It would still function the same, just without that drawback.
-
@RaSavage42 said:

So changing it to making a new Obsession after every hit makes it even harder (for the most part) to use
And removing the effects of Remember Me from non Obsessions again makes it weaker (for the most part)
The first change might make it weaker, but would make it less tunelly to use.
And I didnt say to remove its effects from non-obsessions, I said to remove the obsession's immunity to its effects.
So that's one debatable nerf and one objective buff.
-
This would be like if the first jigsaw box was guaranteed to not have the key to the RBT, which is something the devs said they would never do, because knowing the first one is pointless would just make the process a slog.

Michael Myers was also tunneling Laurie Strode. Tunneling is part of horror.
When you get tunneled, do you feel scared or just annoyed?
