  • I don't think the pallet even has to be thrown. I've been locked out of my power after ending my patrol at an upright pallet. Had it happen on Sanctum of Wrath. Really hope they fix this one soon.

  • Probably Dredge. Nothing in this game has made me scream louder than running away from the killer in pitch black darkness just to have him suddenly burst out of the locker right next to me.

  • I've definitely had a share of matches where I was able to get more kills than I would've because survivors were going for bodyblocks and flashlight saves instead of working on gens.

  • I definitely like the inclusion of more morally grey survivors, I feel like a survivor could only be so bad without being chosen to be a killer instead though.

  • I second this. The time you have to try the new characters is limited, so it would be nice to have a way to see all the things they're capable of in easier in that time. I feel like it would help the devs too, since players would be able to provide a wider range of feedback.

  • Even if you did have video evidence, that chances of him getting banned are basically 0.

  • I don't think a killer with an attack that can completely ignore obstacles to hit a survivor can really be called weak. The amount of time you can save by skipping the carrying process should not be underestimated as well. If you need help landing his PoTD, try running I'm all ears, its a huge help on loops with tall walls.

  • If this happens to you so frequently just use distortion. It entirely counters lethal pursuer.

  • Have you ever tried actually played artist? To get those two hit combos with the crows your timing has to basically be perfect. The time it take to regain your crows, place on down and then shoot it again is only like, 1 second shorter than the time it takes to dispel crows. Anyone who can get their downs with artists kinda deserves them cause her skill floor is so high.

  • This could probably be counteracted easily by last second survivor switching. I know I'd definitely do this if I knew that the killer had almost a minute to craft the perfect counter to my build.

  • As a killer main I like The Voice of Fate a lot, but it does have a couple issues. For one, its a little bloated. This one perk does 3 different things, which is already a lot for one perk, and two of those things contradict each other a little. This perk gives you a bonus if you get pallet stunned, but also has an effect that stops pallets from being dropped.

I think it would be good to have this perk just do one of these things. The blocking a pallet at the start of a chase is a very powerful ability on its own, especially on killers with instadown capabilities. You could have a cooldown time on it be the variable that changes with tiers.

  • For They're All Going To Laugh At You, 100 seconds is an absurdly long time to inflict someone with incapacitated. Anyone hit with that will be basically unable to play the game for over a minute.

  • My guess would have to be that kill switch is largely saved for absolutely gamebreaking bugs. This gives oni a buff, but its not gamebreaking, thus no killswitch.

  • New norm? This strategy has been around for years.

  • Honestly, no. This game can be stressful at times, but nothing today has ever compared to the stress that came with purple ranks in the old matchmaking system. Seriously, idk why the purple ranks were harder to deal with than red ranks. Still confuses me to this day.

  • Everything is comparatively harder in solo q

  • Then make sure one of those gens is the first one you do.

  • I think the new version is easier to catch people off guard with, but also easier to wait out when you know about it.

  • I made a whole post about how hexes naturally weaken over time as survivors eventually memorize all the totem spawn locations. Because of this I think they need some major change to their functionality to stay viable.

I mean something along the lines of unhooked survivors getting the endurance status effect for 3-5 seconds without having to waste a perk slot on protecting themselves from face campers.. the effect only needs to last long enough that the immediate hit doesn’t just knock you back down again

That is literally already in the game.

Didn't BHVR state some time ago that they would never add in a killer who could disguise themselves as a survivor?

    Yes

  • Not really. Matches feel more or less exactly the same as they did before, just with more DCing because people think the changes made were a lot bigger than they are.

  • He is slowed while charging up his attack, theres and theres a solid half second delay between the activation of his attack and it actually coming out. And it has a red indicator to show you exactly where it will hit.

My advice to you is to try and fake pallet drops and vaults more. Any time you try to vault while hes charging his attack is basically a guaranteed hit. If you can get him to whiff his POTD attack, that will buy you a good amount of time to put more distance between the two of you, which is what you should be doing the most.

  • Please tell me you weren't expecting high art from the serial killer dating simulator.

  • Ive been playing less lately. Not really for any new issues though. The game has always had great potential for frustration, and some days that frustration doesnt feel worth it.

Theres also the fact that I play on PC, and also work on a computer all day. Sometimes after working on a computer all day, I dont want to go home just to get on a computer again.

  • Im not super familiar with Weskers abilities, but im always excited to see how the devs decide to bring abilities from existing IPs into the game.

Being able to throw and tackle survivors sounds like a lot of fun too.

  • My unforgettable memory is being physically unable to bring a survivor downed at an exit gate to a hook before they could escape. Hook spawns are kinda whack on that map.

  • I have continued to have success playing the exact same way I did before. Not that much has really changed.

  • Corrupt Intervention: Trapper I need that help with early game setup.

Blood Echo: Legion. He uses it better than most killers and greatly benefits from it.

Dying Light: Plague. Its downside is non-existent on her so of course.

  • Just because there are perks weaker than this one, that doesn't mean this perk didnt need a buff. Its definitely not overtuned either. It went from a perk that can only be useful once to a perk that can be useful more than once IF you bring specific perks or add-ons to go with it.

Then flag another post of yours (eg this thread) or head to a mods‘ wall and write there that you want to discuss this with them

I'll give that a shot, thanks

  • @Mooks said:

If it’s about a post here on the forums, you can just flag that post and mention in that description what you want to tell the mods or that you want to be contacted about it directly (mods are able to send you direct messages which you can reply to)

the support will probably tell you you need to contact the mods here on the forums anyways as the support staff are not really there for the forums.

If they do tell me to contact the mods, I cant flag the post to get in contact with them, cause the post just kinda doesn't exist anymore.

  • Nevermind y'all, I submitted a support ticket. I cant delete this post, but please dont relpy to it.

I agree with Mangled on the hammer. Boom would create a loud noise indicator like an exploding gen when the flash bomb goes off. This would make it worth while as a locator. Plus canceling their progress on cleansing totems would be a life saver on Hex Builds.

Since totems are randomly arranged each match, Sleight of hand would reset the totems to a different possible random rearrangement of locations, so you could be cleansing a hex and have it either disappear or be swapped to a different location. Basically it would just make it to where you couldn't trust it to stay still long enough to heal, block your scratch marks or imagine if it leaves when you are trying to get up with Exponential. All could be game changing.

Ah ok, the totems being able to swap mid-cleanse definitely makes it sound more powerful. Come to think of it it would also be pretty funny for someone to be healing im CoH just for the totem to randomly go somewhere else. I can definitely see more of the use in it now.

  • I gotta say, I actually laughed out loud at the sentence "after the last generator is completed, the mime pulls out his gun", that one caught me so off guard. Im sure its accurate to the character, but im not familiar with the IP

I am a huge fan of the idea of a killer that can wield multiple weapons for different powers. Although personally I'd change the hammer to do something else. Blindness isnt a huge deal, especially when only for 30 seconds, and its secondary effect is basically the same as the syringe, which feels like a direct upgrade. Maybe the hammer could inflict mangled, which is a pretty useful status effect, and probably in line with what a hammer would actually do to a person.

His bag teleport does seem pretty useful too. A combination stealth, map mobility ability that doesnt have a huge downside. Not being able to swap weapons sounds manageable, especially if you like your current weapon. Boom is a perk I like in concept, but I think it should have a slightly different effect. Being blind inst a huge deal if youre not in immediate danger. If it made the survivor incapactitated instead, that could potentially have a noticable impact. Crossed wires I think is great as is. Its only really useful in a few specific scenarios, but it would work excellently in those scenarios. I know I would have the largest ######### eating grin if a group of survivors tried to get out through a 99, just for the door to reset instead. Im a little confused on what Sleight of Hand does. Does it actually change the physical locations of every totem in the map? If so, I'm not 100% sure what the advantage of that would be.

Overall though I like this concept a lot, keep it up dude

  • I like to run Dying Light on plague since she's the person that uses it best. She's probably the only killer where the perks downside doesnt matter at all. The perk itself still isnt fantastic though. I think it was Otz that said that the perks doesnt really help you win, it just helps you win harder.

  • They're a little bit longer, but I dont really mind it too much as long as it doesn't get to PTB levels of bad. A few minutes isnt too big of a deal to me since Im typically tabbed out doing other things as I wait for a lobby anyways.

  • I'll admit, these annoy the hell out of me sometimes, but from a design perspective, nerfing game features just because players use them to BM is stupid.

  • Soloq is unplayable due to people DCing. If they didnt survivors would still stand a chance. But people would rather just give up than put in a little bit more effort.

  • No

    Eventually

    Eventually

    Probably Not

    Next

  • Yes, because of survivors DCing

  • The only thing thats been making survivor harder for me is survivors DCing. A solid match can turn into a match with no chance of winning because someone dips out.

  • Its good for power burst killers. On killers like Mikey and Oni, it can be more efficient to down multiple people in one use of your power and THEN hook them, as opposed to hooking after every down. Can also be useful for snowballing.

  • As a killer main, slowdown perks are fun for me because the time they buy me on gens allows me to focus on the actual fun part of the game: the chases.

Gift of Pain I think is fine for two main reasons. The first is that you have to actually be able to get downs for it to do anything. So you have to show some level of skill to use it. And then you need to have good luck. They spawn randomly, which can determine how much use you get out of it. Ive had matches where they were evenly spread and I could use it consistently. I've also had an equal amount of matches where they were all shoved in a corner and could use it only once or twice per match. Ive also had my share of matches where it took me so long to get that first down that the perk basically doesnt matter at all.

  • You'd think survivors would be a huge fan of perks that incentivize the killer to leave the hook.

  • I've seen a bunch of perk concepts that allow you to stun the killer from a distance, and I think Youthful Determination is the only one I've actually liked so far. The general concept of being able to stun the killer from a distance scares me, but this makes it take a while to even get access to the ability. Assuming you also have to actually aim the thing, these would keep it from being too overpowered, which I appreciate.

  • Base kit BT definitely made camping worse. How afwful.

  • I-Frames. They can be kinda ridiculous sometimes.

Bro you can't claim Mikey is the worst killer while Freddy is in the game.

I 100% will claim that. Freddy has two things in his kit that are powerul abilities: map mobility and game slowdown. While his anti-loop may not be strong, the fact that it exists could score him so hits that Mikey couldn't. All Mikey has is a smaller than normal terror radius and instadowns for a minute. All people have to do to deny your power is stay out of your LoS. His power has nothing that would let him get hits other killers couldn't. Sure you can instadown people for a minute, but that doesnt make him much better than others if he can't even land one hit cause the loop you're at is too strong. Oh yeah, and if you stalk one person too much, you cant ever gain your power from them again. If you want a power burst killer, just play Oni, he outclasses Mikey in basically every way.
