That was the other fella
I said that in my comment I wasn’t talking about you

The combo itself doesn't bother me
What bothers me is that they brought it back not for balance reasons but technical ones
It makes 0 sense
And your going to cry like a baby and quit the game? I’m not talking about you but that’s completely ######### stupid. I understand quitting for not having fun and being burnt out but because of oh they changed the perks to fix a issue. That’s so idiotic
-
@evancalgary said:
looks like I can continue not playing as they fixed no actual problems
All because boo hoo they brought back a powerful combo that’s not going to be so powerful and nerfed something that’s pointless I’m going to quit wahhhh wahhh. Just reread what you wrote and look at how Ridiculous you sound

Wait, everyone's freaking out and MoM is apparently also being nerfed again. The hell did I miss?
To make it simple
Thanatophobia was nerfed to stop people from rage quitting against legion and plague. But it didn’t solve the issue and it’s still strong on those 2 killers
M.O.M was nerfed to where you can’t work on Anything when you have endurance and your aura is now revealed when you have endurance so the killer knows to not go after you
Pain Resonance was buffed so it now knocks survivors off gens again but it doesn’t notify you, this was done to fix a glitch with merciless storm. But the DMS combo is back
DMS had its duration shortened to 20/25/30 to compensate.

I know but there are many that state they should (much like spirit as well) because they have special scoring events and require the use of the power, similar to Blight. It's a commonly suggested change to help against things that can be oppressive with her power like Starstruck, etc.
I just edited my comment I didn’t see what you meant my mistake
-
@KolbyKolbyKolby said:
I think that'd be a good thing. It would become more valuable on killers that need help with slowdown because they don't have great chase powers. However it would be silly if they ever made Nurse blink attacks count as special attacks since her own perk would be useless on her.
I don’t think they would do that they did buff her 3 blink addon and didn’t nerf her range addons
-
Also to clarify if 3 people are injured it would be like the old where each injured person is 5.5% per survivor
-
They nerfed DMS cause of the Artist combo she could camp and get free pressure with no problem so they got rid of that issue with pain resonance but added it back but nerfed DMS so it’s not as oppressive.

They nerfed Mettle of Man, the buff was to make up for the nerf.
I’m just realizing it now holy #########. This is one time they need to scrap and rework the perk cause In it’s current form it’s either to weak or to ######### strong

MoM is a nerf. Sure it takes only 2 protection hits now, but you can't work on a gen, rescue a survivor, heal a survivor, etc. It also can't combo with other endurance effects either. On top of that, the killer now sees your aura when you have MoM endurance meaning they know to ignore you since you can't do anything useful while your aura is being revealed.
But that doesn’t stop from bodyblocking
-
Also they buffed mettle of man and nerfed Dead man’s switch. Pain resonance was buffed

Don't think spreading condemn is a good idea. Sounds like a great way for my horrible teammates to get me moried.
It’s to match the movie. In the original movie to get rid of sadakos curse you have to copy the tape and spread it to someone else. That’s how it works it would match the movie
-
Yes RPD will be reworked. It says it’s coming in autumn. Which is the time where Chapter 25 will be released. Like the guy said above it’s possibly just going to be split into 3 variants. 1 is the 1st floor, the 2nd is the 2nd floor and so on
-
I have a better idea
if survivors have 7 stacks of condemnation there exposed.
holding a tape gives you condemnation after 24 seconds(was 25 it’s to match 24h a day).
when you insert a tape into a vcr you remove 3 Condemn stacks, but you spread 1 condemnation stack to all survivors in the trial.
(with the other 3 changes this might be a little to strong) Survivors gain condemnation when within 16 meters of a active tv. It takes 24 seconds to get one stack of condemnation
those are the buffs I would give her
-
A buff i had For the perk was. As each survivor dies your scratch marks become less and less visible and when your the only one left you leave no scratch marks
-
This might sound like a exaggeration but the game was dying in its low points cause of DH. I know there were other issues like COH and MMR but DH was the main reason killers were leaving. Now the tables have turned now all the survivors are leaving
-
@ByeByeQ said:
Eruption incapacitates a survivor for 25 (used to be 16) seconds working on a generator previously kicked by the killer when they get a down.
Eruption disproportionately affects SoloQs while being easily countered by a SWF on comms. If a SoloQ is working on a gen they have no way to know if a survivor is going down to counter the incapacitated effect, even running perks like Empathy or Bond don't really help. This is bad perk design.
The Incapacitated effect would make more sense on Pain Resonance where an alert SoloQ can at least get off the gen as the survivor is hooked to mitigate the perk's negative effects once they know the killer has it.
The Incapacitated status effect is also just plain horrible. Not being able to repair gens, sabotage hooks or cleanse totems sure, but if an injured teammate shows up and you can't heal them... if they don't know the killer has Eruption they just assume you're a lousy teammate. "Well screw this Meg. IF she's not going to heal me I'm leaving her to die later on." This is extremely bad for the game. Why can an incapacitated survivor open an exit gate but not heal a teammate?
Rework Eruption or chuck it in the bin.
The perk should notify them when they get incapacitated. It informs solos that the perk is there so they know to counter it. It doesn’t nerf it against swf cause there already aware of it. Giving the information to solos will help it out
-
My concepts for a terminator chapter would be either the first or second. I’ll stick with the first here’s my concept.
Killer-The Terminator(T-800)
Survivors-Kyle Reese and Sarah Conner
Map-2029 war zone
-
I would like that. But would it be to Sci fi for dbd? Which droid would we want. T-800 or t-1000?
-
Oh how the tables have turned
-
I like the idea above. Yes it should not have that reset penalty. Instead like the person suggested above it should just get a cooldown then reactivate again
-
Had us in the first half not gonna lie
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
It stacks, but it's 300, not 400.
Why is that? Shouldn’t it be 400% cause when you kick a gen, it’s 200% regression by default then after 30 seconds overcharges regression is 200% so shouldn’t those equal 400%? Plus the 2.5 regression on kicks?
-
@Dunkinspunkin said:
Just kidding. 50k concurrent players on steam during a random Monday. The verdict is in. People are playing the crap out of this game and the devs hard work on this last patch has not gone unappreciated. The forums are not the game. Want proof? Read the topics and comments then look at the viewership.
All the angry bully squad survivors are leaving cause they can’t be ######### anymore, or it’s just regular people that are tired of being tunneled and camped and are quitting. Or it’s just people who are burnt out of dbd
-
@RpTheHotrod said:
Better solution is to give the last survivor a "give in to the entity" option if on the ground for more than 10 seconds total (adds up even if picked up and dropped again....a TOTAL of 10 seconds ground time).
im mixed on that idea. Giving people a bleed out option can either work good or back fire terribly.
######### survivors can just purposely bleed out and leave the other 3 to fight the killer. I don’t think it would work. A suicide button in games have shown to never work
-
That was never stated. They only removed the cooldown. They never removed the basic attack requirement

Wait, you're telling me Spinechill is EVEN better now? I thought it was supposed to be nerfed? It now tells you the distance of the killer to the survivor basically? I thought it only worked if the killer had a terror radius to begin with.
It’s bugged it’s not supposed to be doing that
-
Ok how about this. Hex ruin will still deactivate when someone dies but would buffing the regression bonus be a fair trade. You can still cleanse the totem. But it will still deactivate. But the regression is 300/350/400%.
-
Here’s my buff to bbq and chili
When hooking a survivor, survivors auras are revealed for 4 seconds when 40 meters away from the hook.
When you hook a survivor gain a 7% haste status effect when outside of 40 meters of the hook, you lose the haste effect when you injure someone or the survivor gets unhooked. Once all 4 survivors have been hooked once you gain a permanent 3% haste effect.
-
Not really the only thing I ran into was rubberbanding
-
@Ryuhi said:
Honestly it shouldn't be a hex, but rather work like how DIssolution does, maybe with a considerably longer cooldown. Its better than the worst hex perks, but none of that matters if they're not strong enough to justify being deleted early in the match.
Before the perk was buffed one of my original ideas was when someone is hurt dropped pallets get blocked to or destroyed. I think blocking is better cause it fits the theme of the perk
-
@dspaceman20 said:
It will still not be used. The killer aura range should be unlimited. It could really help solo
They didn’t specify if it was only scratch marks or both. We have to wait and see
-
i hate to be that guy but the reason hex ruin should still be a hex is because it would contradict Hag having 3 hex perks. Hag introduced hex perks and she started with 3 hex perks Changing that wouldn’t make sense.
I’m not saying it’s fine the way it is it needs buffs but making it not a hex still makes it not so good. It’s also a problem with hexes in general them being broken.
here’s my change. Gens regress at 100/125/150% when not being repaired. It doesn’t deactivate anymore when someone dies.
there simple and done
-
Artist needs no changes. I hate her I don’t care what they do to her. Dredge is fine he just needs a couple tweaks and he’s good. Onyro needs major buffs. She’s probably next to get changed after twins
-
@Onyx said:
I think they just need to buff the aura reading range to 12m and then also re-add the "Hooks no longer break when a player is sacrificed on them".
Then again, maybe they don't want a perk to negate an essential mechanic of the game: hooks being broken when survivors die, thus making killers not think about hook placement. Would also make Scourge hooks even stronger, because now you would be able to activate their effect even when survivor is on death hook without sacrificing that scourge, which would essentially be the trade-off of scourge hooks.
Another suggestion on how to buff it would be: Whenever a survivor sabotages a hook, their aura is revealed for 30s.
I think it would be fine cause your wasting one of your 4 perk slots to guarantee getting your hooks back.

Yeah and it doesn't address the free second chance survivors get throughout the whole game. Getting hit by DS once perk match is manageable, but if every survivor is using DS and you get hit by all of them you will get absolutely destroyed. The thing is, avoiding DS is possible since you can just slug the survivor using the DS aggressively.
Now good luck trying to avoid a survivor bodyblocking you in Midwich's doorways while trying to protect another survivor. Now consider that you can activate OTR on both unhooks and you got a problem since you're getting 8 (2 second chances x 4 survivors) OTR hits per game.
BT was already considered one of the best perks in the game for giving survivors a window of invulnerability. Now they just make the same perk but on steroids.
Also, I don't see how Deathslinger counters this mess.
Um? You chain them you hit them or let the chain break. You hit them no endurance tank hits simple.
“I don’t see how deathslinger counters this mess” 🤡
I don’t usually do that but in this case that emoji perfectly explains this thread

just ignore em, i wanna talk about overcharge. i don't like the us vs them comments either, it's not the point of my post, but ignoring it is how we stop talking about it, yk
ok
about overcharge though, I knew the perk would be nerfed cause it was a little stupid with others. I think it will be fine personally cause it still has that impossible skillcheck check that will take off 10% which takes off 9 seconds of gen time. But if they leave it the gen will regress a lot. I’ll have to test it and see

what a complete misinterpretation of my post. i'm unhappy about the survivor changes too.
nobody is crying a river here. stop trying to spark an argument. it's really annoying. 1 thing at a time, brother
I won’t name names cause that’s rude but I spotted 2 people throwing a tantrum on your thread over the overcharge change and then spewing bullshit that’s not true I’m just calling them out
-
ok. Let’s break down why your argument is wrong. Ahem
- OTR just received a nerf today where it will no longer activate in the endgame so no more last minute bodyblocks it’s not going to be so overpowered
- Endurance doesn’t work if you have deep wound. This will make legion, slinger and pinhead with original pain addon very strong now cause they can trump endurance now.
That’s pretty much it but don’t make up random bullshit where we see right here the perk is strong but it won’t be as powerful as it was in the ptb. Don’t make up bullshit that’s not true
-
A lot of killer mains crying rivers right now.
did we ignore the part how OTR and dead hard and botany knowledge have been nerfed? Dead hard especially has been nerfed heavily. OTR doesn’t work anymore in endgame and botany has a medkit penalty we’re it dies faster.
But oh no one perk that will hurt solos bad but not effect swf gets changed. The evil nasty devs don’t want killers having fun grrrrrr
-
i agree with the change of having Shadowborn be base with a fov slider. But I don’t think it would work cause killers will always have the highest setting cause having a wider screen is so useful.
Originally my secondary effect for Shadowborn was you see auras for a extra 1/2/3 seconds. But sadly lethal pursuer stole my idea so that’s not happening

Because BHVR treats DBD like a free to play even though they charge for it. It’s ridiculous how much the game is starting to feel like a mobile game, and it sucks. There is no reason to add a prestige tax besides having some dumb mechanic slowing your progress. It’s like if BHVR thinks they did something too nice for players they need to add a big middle finger in there somewhere.
Well they will never make dbd free cause more people will complain and more hackers can join in since it’s free to play
-
That’s what they announced there kind of doing there adding icons to survivors portraits so it shows what actions there doing. It’s probably not coming this year cause it wasn’t on the road map

Oh right: that mechanic where survivors can juke just like every other killer attack, works at tremendously short range, has the tiniest little precision hitbox instead of Huntress' brickhouse hatchets, lets survivors use terrain/pallets/vaults to prevent a hit, and requires the killer to recharge after every single attempt.
What a terribly unfair power. So many lose-lose situations! They can only reliably hit even moderately skilled players at lunge-distance, but surely that's a total lose-lose!
You know what? I bet it was B O R I N G too! Probably O P P R E S S I V E for the game! If only all killer powers could be high-risk, high-skill, low-payoff! The game would be way more fun for everyone!
you literally could not juke his chain with the right math and movement humanly against a god slinger it’s virtually impossible to dodge his spear. His ads was 0.15 seconds and he could shoot as soon as he hit the button.
If slinger wasn’t nerfed and he was the same scott Jund would give you his profile so you can prove he’s counterable in a chase.
which he wasn’t. Also you assume I’m a survivor main just because I have a different opinion

I mean, there's a YouTube video of Mathieu Cote getting flashlight bullied in a Korean Twitch event and shortly thereafter, they nerfed flashlights.
If you think public shaming doesn't motivate devs to lash out at the thing that humiliated them, you're not treating them like people. It's only human.
There is not one video of the devs facing a slinger. Also like the guy above said his nerfs were justified cause his ads made so many lose lose situations it was not fair at all
-
@emetSdidnothingwrong said:
A C tier killer at best (pre nerf) should have an unjustified nerf reverted? Yes he should, will bhvr do it? Absolutely not, he was only nerfed because one of the devs got clapped by a slinger during one of their play sessions so they nerfed him because of it and yes they do in fact nerf some killers because of things like that (I'm the reason impossible skills check doc was nerfed.)
