Ruin shouldn’t be a hex anymore.
It’s far weaker than it’s ever been, way too weak compared to other hexes.
If I remember correctly it is now 75% regression, that’s a good amount, but given you can now stack overcharge and that one Onryo perk, AND get an extra like 2% regression from kicking, what’s the point of running ruin anymore? It’s a hex perk that is outshined by other NON HEX perks.
Not to mention it is a hex that deactivates itself when a survivor dies, add this on with the fact that it has a chance to be broken at the VERY START of a match. It’s risk heavily outweighs its reward.
Comments
Maybe the entity can block it until deactivation
nah
Perma till a survivor die. And its 4x slowers than repair speeds so say you have been away froma gen for 60 seconds it will take 15 to get the progress back. Either stacking on gens o team coordination is the counter to it.
I agree it's bad with the change, but what would be the counterplay if it was not a hex?
i hate to be that guy but the reason hex ruin should still be a hex is because it would contradict Hag having 3 hex perks. Hag introduced hex perks and she started with 3 hex perks Changing that wouldn’t make sense.
I’m not saying it’s fine the way it is it needs buffs but making it not a hex still makes it not so good. It’s also a problem with hexes in general them being broken.
here’s my change. Gens regress at 100/125/150% when not being repaired. It doesn’t deactivate anymore when someone dies.
there simple and done
Every 4 seconds of regression is 1 second of survivors working on a gen. A nearly-finished generator would take 6 minutes to get back to 0.
That's what 100% means. 6 minutes to undo 90 seconds of work.
The counter-play is to DO GENERATORS
PLUS, generators that are regressing can't be kicked, which means if you brought Non-Hex: Ruin, you couldn't bring Overcharge, Call of Brine, Dragon's Grip, or any of the other dozen "kick a gen" perks, all of which are needed for active regression.
And if one of your team happens to die for any reason? Poof: the perk disappears! Name another perk that turns itself off when one survivor dies, to make the game easier for the remaining survivors.
