Considering it only takes one survivor to destroy and gens can take only 5 minutes....I guess that depends on your objective. I don't think it's worth it...which is why I don't run it.
I don't think it is worth it either. But some do I guess? Some would rather run the risk of it breaking within 2 minutes than not run it at all.
-
Stake Out, have had games where I was the only one popping gens because Ruin was still up, and we got out because of it.
-
I reached rank 1 killer a few months ago, without using Ruin.
I play both sides, but I just get bored with killer, so I don't play killer unless I am desperate for some bloodpoints.
Currently rank 10 in both survivor and killer.

I'll do a little montage video for you. 10 matches wherein a hex totem is destroyed within the first 2 minutes.
The problem, honestly was when the devs decided to announce to the survivors that there was the presence of a hex totem. Before this change was introduced, hex totems stood a chance, and enjoyed a brief period of usefulness. I want to say this was sometime around Oct. 2017. Now, survivors load in and as soon as they see there is a hex totem, it's a 4 vs 1, and when I say 4 vs 1....I don't mean survivors vs killer, I mean 4 survivors vs. 1 totem. Stationary, visible, no skill checks...completely worthless. Oh, and with the size of some of these map, and the limited mobility of some killers....if you don't think this is an issue, you're not paying attention.
If the totem was up for 2 minutes, then it has done it's job has it not?

Pig, and Huntress/Nurse sometimes.
Mainly Pig though, I love getting dash hits on loops, grabbing people of generators. ^^
I like Huntress and Nurse sometimes. Sometimes I absolutely despise playing them, sometimes I love playing them. It really depends on whether I remember to change my DPI and if I am boosted that day or not.
-
It is most definitely not a must.
-
High risk high reward. This can happen, but it doesn't happen frequently enough that I would say it needs to be removed. It is just a risk you take when running a hex perk. I haven't seen a totem spawn like this in a very long time.
-
Outplaying my opponent really.
Looping, mind games, I am here for it all.

and NOW we finally get the real reason for SWF. it wasn't "always intended" it was a fix to a legit problem. Even if it's caused many more.
McLean said on the dev stream it was always intended. They had the choice to release the game with KYF or SWF, they chose KYF and chose to implement SWF later.
-
This just seems like an unnecessary nerf to survivors really.
Most survivors heal up right away, those that don't already run the risk of getting downed quickly.
-
I wouldn't kill any game, just because I do not enjoy it, doesn't mean I should take away joy from others.
I would keep Apex Legends alive, it is slowly dying now atm. But I feel like it can be really good if they release more content for it.
-
Ran a killer for 5 gens and then escaped.
Nurse slugged two people, put them in the basement. Then Claudette ran down there, while the Nurse was camping the basement... Unhooked two people, and got all of them downed. So I decided ######### it, ran in there, unhooked Claudette (the other two died, went into struggle.), she went down straight away, and then I got downed.
Lucky for me, by the time I got hooked she wasn't dead.
I literally said aloud, I am going to ######### kobe right now. And I did. Then got downed straight away. But there was the hero I never expected to save me up until that moment, D-strike. :D
This Nurse could not blink without line of sight, so I kept breaking it, ran to the other side of the map, by the time she saw me and blinked to me, I was already out through the hatch.
-
Adrenaline.
I can do without an exhaustion perk (I don't count Adrenaline as one.), but I don't feel secure without Adrenaline.
-
I... Don't understand what you are trying to say.
-
They are struggling with making it because it includes a hoodie
-
Pig, Billy without addons I guess.

There's a difference between SWF who play to have fun with their friends, and SWF who act like this
Lol rarely anyone plays like that.
-
Lithe is trash. I switched out BL for Lithe to try it out, played with it for a week, I still hate it.
Balanced Landing is the second best exhaustion perk next to Dead Hard. The way you can extend and create certain loops with it, even when it is on cool down is just freaking amazing. I miss it when I don't run it.
-
No.
Her addons are fine, the only one that I find actual trash is Amanda's Secret. I don't like Videotape because it gives less time to mind game with the dash.
I usually run Last Will/Combat Straps and Syringes. I run Jigsaw Sketch, Tampered Timer or Crate of Gears if I want to be a dick.
The rest of her addons don't fit the way I like to play.
-
I cleanse when I see there is only one clean fountain, so she is forced to use her power and can't take from multiple fountains. Otherwise I just stay dirty, and rely on dead hard to get me out of dead zones.
-
I am just gonna dip majority of the time. I am definitely not basement saving anyone at the end game.
Which sucks honestly. I like playing altruistic, but I also do not want to give the killer an easy 4k for not playing well, by just blocking us in the basement, or NOED slugging everyone.
-
Lithe is the third best exhaustion perk, and Dead Hard is not a niche in the slightest lol.
-
You need to predict where survivors are going to dodge as Huntress. Not a jab at you in anyway, but a good Huntress is hard to dodge.
And 2 gens, 1 down is pretty normal. Just gotta get a quick down afterwards to keep up momentum. As Huntress, you should be able to do so.
-
Because Mclean said on the dev stream that people got it wrong. SWF was always intended, they had the choice to launch the game with KYF or SWF, they chose KYF and implemented SWF later.

I have no problem with SWFs, I have a problem with people that refuse to admit that it gives unintended, unfair advantages. At least be honest enough to aknowledge the imbalance it creates, that's all I'm asking for.
...and in the meantime I just facecamp them. And if people have a problem with campers they just need to git gud, simple.
But SWF has always been intended?
-
Adrenaline, Dead Hard are standard. Then the other two perks depend on how I am feeling. Sometimes it will be borrowed time and we're gonna farm forever, sometimes it will be decisive and windows of opportunity... other times it will be stake out and prove thyself.
-
Adrenaline and Dead Hard on survivor.
I don't have one on Killer... I only run one build on Pig, the killer I play the most, and all the other killers just run whatever perks they got when I got them up to a level 40.

This is part of the End Game changes. With the Survivors on a short timer, they can't afford to go around taking a trap off before leaving. Putting a trap on a Survivor after the End Game has already started would be a death sentence particularly when paired with Blood Warden. Traps applied before the last generator was powered will still be active, so you'll still be able to
These changes are just on the PTB for now, though. We'll keep an eye out for feedback and make changes if needed.
I don't get why the RBT timer has to stop in the heartbeat radius with the end game changes though.

Though it's not like survivors really have any reason to complain right now.
Despite that I do think there are more killers that moan about survivors and how they caused the nerfs, instead of making actual useful topics with suggestions and get support from other killers.
More than enough reasons to complain as a survivor. I just generally choose not to do so.
Especially here, if you do, all the killer mains will come out of the woodworks saying that this clearly overpowered thing on the killers side, it not overpowered and that I am just a whiny survivor main that needs to learn how to play the game. (Generally meaning, relearning how to stealth.)
-
Just move and start healing them?
-
Either Tapp or David.
I assume Tapp was trained in basic combat because he is a detective, and David is a cannon fighter.
I think putting Jane and Jeff there is questionable as well...

I like the feeling of powering up.
Take Adrenaline for example.
There's SO much stuff on it.
Yet you get everything on level 1, and only the Exhaustion cooldown is reduced with levels.
It feels like you got basically everything you need already at level 1.
I wouldn't mind it if levels would stay as long as they would feel different.
But they've been doing the exact opposite lately, a big example being Devour Hope.
So yeah, i feel like it's pretty useless to have levels now, and i'd support removing them altogether.
I see little use in being able to level specific Perks when the rewards are so neglegible with most Perks.
"I'll use 500k Bloodpoints now to increase the bleeding effect on Sloppy Butcher from slightly to moderately."
Meh.
Eh... Adrenaline tier 1 can really ######### you up though. I have had it several times I went down because it took too long for my exhaustion to get of cool down, so I couldn't dead hard.
-
Because I play the game for fun and Legion is not fun to go against.
I usually just deal with it, but if they are moonwalking or using Frank's, I just move on to the next game.

Strong survivors "usually" play in a SWF team which causes you to end up playing with potato survivors nobody wants to play with. #Feelssoloplayerman
Edit: Eat this bowl of my award winning chili to calm your nerves.
?
I don't really get the logic behind that. Are you saying strong survivors usually play in a 4 man? I wouldn't say that is true.
-
You don't need Ruin to get a 4k consistently.
-
They don't, but they just want to always win. Even if the survivors they are going against are better players, or despite the many mistakes they make in a trial.

We want survivors to not be boring. Abusing chase mechanics to make chases super long while other 3 rush gens is boring.
Killer gets to do nothing but hold w and break pallets.
And looking for a Blendette is less boring than actually being in a chase right?
-
A Huntress threw her game by tunneling me all game, because I used dead hard to dodge her hatchet. At the end I got Adrenaline, she hit someone else with NOED, but then continued going after me. I died, but everyone else escaped so I was fine with it really. I only found out in the after game chat why she was tunneling me. I thought she had mistaken me crouching for a teabag or something, but no... she was just a salty dumb ass.
-
I doubt they will let anything touch the timer.
It is just going to make me play less survivor. At least, I will stop playing solo. Because it is going to make solo survivor end game hell. Everyone will just dip out. Unless there is an incentive to stay in. I hope they have thought of it, and have something in place for it.
-
Probably not, but a lot better now, so won't complain
-
Yeah.
Played as Claudette.
Played as Trapper against a Meg, that is about as much as I remember from my first game.
-
What is the point of posting this on the forums when you have already reported them in game?
-
That would be unfair. Sometimes the hits are legit when the pallet is pulled down.
-
8. Pig/Amanda
Now at glance, Pig is an M1 killer. Pig a bit deeper though and she's a mindgame/stealth killer with a power to slow the game down. So with Pig, you need to know a bit of mindgames. While playing her is simple enough, understanding her power and maximizing it to is great potential, needs a bit more understanding.
I really hope you are referring to the dash when you say mind games.
-
What is everyone talking about? That looks horrible overall.
The game has come so far
-
This is a joke right?
-
I guess sacrificing myself for random survivors?

Totally worth to main.
+Easy to farm BP
+Easy to pip
+Delicious survivors tears
-After some time playing Legion you can feel like a dick, but after some games on weak killer like Plague, get palletlooped and bulled, it's feels like they ask for Legion.
I hope the nerf will not be too hard.
They are not nerfing Legion, they are reworking them.
Also, Plague is not weak lol
-
Jeff, Claudette and Jake are the first 3 I think of.
Dwight is also quite attractive. Feng is cute. Ace in certain cosmetics is hot af as well. Adam would be cute if they didn't make his skin so ashy. Jane is also pretty yeah...
But I would say Jeff, Claudette, Dwight and Jake are the most attractive.
Then followed by Feng, Jane, Ace and Adam. The rest isn't that attractive in my eyes.

@Chi Then Claudette main's deserve the tunnel and mori, it will never stop. The moris will keep happening again and again, and again. Now... And forever.
It's only fair.
Is not the same thing. Survivors are pretty much a skin. Killer is a specific power that the other does not have. Not comparable at all, unless I said Susie/Joey deserves it, which I didn't.
