Ahh yeah, that's a good point. I have been noticing a lot more tunneling lately.
Well there's your reason lol

I don't use DS, I wanted the terror radius bug fixed before the DS bug. I was tired of every game being played against a stealth killer--and tbh as a killer it felt kind of scummy.
Well I just faced a tunneling huntress who immediately ate DS on 3 survivors and downed survivors 3 seconds after the stun. The terror raidus thing wasn't as bad due to some survivors running spine chill or swf telling them where the killer was.
Right now DS gives some killers license to just tunnel any survivor they want.

Yes but Noed punished survivor AFTER the game is done (you know doin gens). While DS punishes you for doing your objective.
Its not the same
Thing is once the killer completes their objective (killing survivors) their game is done. Whereas once a survivor completes their objective (completing gens) they still have to do another objective (opening the door).

If it's wasting time for survivors to cleanse , then they should not complain if killer use DS , they may not use it but who can say they aren't using it ?
You've confused me about the DS part mate since killers don't use DS. I'm not complaining about NOED lol I'm just stating facts.
-
I never t-bag unless the killer deserves it.
Though I've noticed if I face hag while having drinks my crouching button sometimes get pressed a lot after a pallet stun.

No , noed is a punishment for survivors who don't clear the totems , if you want to compare DS and Noed , Noed you can cancel the perk , DS you cannot except if you lose time , but for DS you lose time to complete your main objectif without gaining advantage , canceling Noed you gain end game advantage and you protect your teammates .
Killers objective is to hook and kill survivors. Survivors objective is to complete 5 generators. Survivors performing well isn't cleansing all the totems, it's getting generators done as fast as possible.
All I'm saying is DS and NOED both:
- Punish killers/survivors performing well
- Can be avoided
Cleansing totems for a perk that may not be used by the killer is wasting time for the survivors.

Came here to say the same thing.
Survivors taking a time out to do totems is like killers taking a timeout to chase someone else or leave slugged.
Great minds think a like lol
-
If we're using your logic then NOED is a punishment for survivors performing well. Since their only real objective is to do gens and totems are only an optional thing.

are the sounds not a new bug? it sound like were trying to start a car or something.
How could it be a bug. That sound is in the files somewhere so it needed to be there for something.
I hope it's a bug and this isn't another "we know what's best so we're not changing anything".
-
I think every survivor would've traded the bug fixes they did for the stun fix. It's not only DS that's bugged but even the stun when you wiggle off the killers shoulder.
Also I know it's not a bug but those gen repairing sounds are horrendous. Trust me when I say no survivor was happy with this fix either.
-
Probably because when killers lose the devs want to give them an easy excuse to blame their loss on.
Actual reason is because beating a full team of solo players is nothing to be proud of, it's incredibly easy. If you lose to a full team of solo players then that's pretty embarrassing tbh.
Second reason is that not only will your Q times increase but so will the swfs. They finally have decent Q times because of crossplay so there's no need to make it worse again.
-
Yes because survivors wanted the terror radius bug fixed before the DS bug lol
-
Killer mains be like "I hope it never changes. It's fine".

Tbh that last one sounds like an amazing feature worthy of a final rift skin.
It would be amazing for us but basically giving out a skin for free with all that effort put into it would be silly by behaviour.
-
You have my vote
-
I feel bad for the guy also. Though I will say I think there's one slight issue with them creating the Legion akin the way we wanted it.
With that much time creating a face that would change based off what's happening it would take too much time and effort for a rift skin. If the skin was buyable then I'd imagine they would've done it. Also imagine the amount of bugs and glitches that would've came out with this skin.
Let's think of some random ones for fun:
- Certain faces can't be flashlighted
- Certain faces don't appear at the correct time
- Multiple faces appear at the same time, overlapping each other
-
I genuinely thought it was a horse lol
The old saying goes "don't fix something that isn't broken". These new gen sounds are just extremely annoying to hear and are way too loud. Just doing gens repeatedly was annoying but now this makes it unbearable.
Hopefully this is one thing they change back soon.
-
The bugged ds is just useless. You have no time to get away from the killer unless your near a pallet or window.

Well I don’t have ruin yet so I’m using pop maybe ruin and undying is a must on him
I'd say that it is. Pop is good but this guy is just so good at pushing people of gens that Ruin and Undying is just amazing. I hope when I prestige him I get just as lucky in my first 50 levels as I did the first time. I got BBQ 1, Tinkerer 2, Undying 2 and Ruin 3.
Once you get Ruin you should see a good difference. For now I'd say just don't commit to chases early on unless you think your getting an easy down. Just hit them off gens (preferably a 3/4 gen set up) and come back when they are out positioned.

I prefer Surveillance, Ruin, Undying, Brutal Strength.
The way that I play is early game I'm looking to get easy hits on survivors and break pallets. Don't commit to chases unless they're easy downs. Get an idea which generators are being worked on and harass the survivors up until they give up and go totem hunting.
Mid game, your hex totem is broken and 1 to 2 generators are complete. At this point you should have between 4-6 hooks. You probably don't have anyone dead because of DS protecting them, but you may have eaten through A DS or two. At this point there are very few pallets left. Use Brutal Strength to Protect the most important generators. Your primary goal is to keep everyone injured.
End game. You've gotten your first kill. You should still have between 2 - 3 uncompleted generators all survivors should be injured. At this point you're just cleaning up, the survivors are out of resources and you're just looking to pick up the pieces.
My problem with surveillance is that since the recent change it isn't as useless as it was before. Tinkerer is extremely good at pushing someone off a gen you know you can reach before it's done and I'd say it's a must on him. Brutal is decent but something like BBQ or Monitor I'd prefer personally.

None of those perks stop you from getting rushed by bots. Undying does nothing, Ruin is negated by holding M1, and Tinkerer only tells you you're about to lose a gen. Start of the match, 2-3 gens could proc Tinkerer, how does that help you avoid being rushed?
Anyways OP, every killer gets rushed, it's pathetic out there right now. Run Discordance for a day, see how many times it procs twice at the start of the match on gens at opposite ends of the map. It's ridiculous.
If your letting 2-3 gens proc at the beginning of the game then your not playing Blight correctly. Your first chase you shouldn't commit to and only value injuring them and leaving. If you run between every gen correctly then the timing of each one being completed should be nicely split.
Tinkerer, Ruin and Undying if run correctly on him is extremely good. Any killer with really good mobility right now should be using Undying and Ruin right now.
-
I'm a point #########. Pretty much if I can get more points then I'll do it. So after reading that I'm going to do propose the question to anyone reading this.
Do I slug for the 4k?

May i point you towards the tournament results where the killers sole objective was to stop gens. now tell me how it went?
Being rushed is up to the survivors not you.
First off I never watched the tournament. Personally never felt interested in it. I just heard bits about it from the forums and my mates.
Secondly you can't compare tournaments to the real game. Tell me how many 4 man swfs run camaraderie (hope I spelled that right).
My point is that not every game as Blight ends with him getting gen rushed. When I played with his adept perks I struggled since he had no gen slowdown. However once I got Tinkerer, Ruin and Undying the amount of map pressure I had was extremely strong.
The OP said that by his first down that 2 tinkerers were going off. Maybe that means that he should've hit the first survivor, left them and pressured other gens. Blight is one of the only killers where this is possible. Not every chase needs to end in a down, an injure can be massive later in the game.
-
Not gonna lie I don't want them to increase the cap. Will make my guides of saving bloodpoints from the archives worthless lol

LOL I'm gonna use Ash just cause of this post. Imagine telling people they can't use any of the killers that have the DS bug right now/any other bug. Wouldn't that be silly?
Shh killer mains don't like that lol
-
When I was doing adept I would've agreed but not now. Once you get Tinkerer, Ruin and Undying you shouldn't get gen rushed.
-
Killer: I get very swing happy. Sometimes I just swing windly and miss 3/4 times in a row. Usually happens when I'm getting too comfortable in a game.
Survivor: Trying to block a killer from hitting a survivor I usually block the survivor by accident. I always misjudge where they want to run and block them.
-
It's really good actually. If you dedicate a build to it then you'll easily get multiple saves.
With the current sabo toolbox you can quite easily take a hit then sabo the hook before he hits you again if you have decent add-ons.
-
That's extremely annoying to see. Unfortunately we've all been there with adepts at rank 1.
I got extremely lucky with my adept. It was my 4th attempt at going for the adept and I got badham 2. First survivor dc'ed on the hook so I had to farm the remaining survivors to try and get the trophy. I only got 8 hooks total the whole game yet I somehow got the adept. I thought you needed to get at least 10/11 hooks but I somehow got lucky.
-
This glitch does need fixed very soon.
-
@MrLimonka said:
Did you wait for your friend to be fully sacrificed, or did you finish the gen right as he was hooked?
When the survivors get placed on their third hook, you need to wait a few seconds before they are officialy "dead"
I did. I panicked because once my friend died he downed me. I thought he was going to kill me but he instead brought me to the hatch. I ran back, finished the gen, let him close hatch and finished the door.

I had an idea for this. The killer cannot depip when playing against swf, and gets a triple bloodpoint bonus in all categories. Only 2 items are allowed per swf.
I think it would be better if they lowered the requirements slightly when facing a swf. Triple Bloodpoints is a bit excessive though anything that'll give me more points I'll take lol
The 2 items thing I can't agree at all with. First off you never stated if your talking about only a 4 man swf. Secondly that just makes swf teams play more meta builds. My mates and me like to play meme builds and they require us using items. This change would lower our options for meme games and encourage us to play more meta builds.
For me I always said the game should have their own comms added. Then buff killers accordingly to compensate for this. There's no point the devs punishing swf teams when they:
- Might not be good enough
- Might not actually be using comms
Also the must nerf object. My idea was to have it share the killers and survivor aura to each other every minute for 3/4/5 seconds. This way it would be pointless for a swf to run it since the information is too limited. Whereas a new player can use it's information in a helpful way.

Man i must be a good because I've beat both Myers and Huntress like that. Never went against Oni but considering Hawkins is my favorite survivor map I doubt I'd have a problem
The game is extremely survivor sided but I think its dumb to ask the survivors to not play as good as they can. Its the games fault not the player. And for the record no most survivors SON'T know or sometimes won't admit that the game is survivor sided. I used to only play killer but i slowly started to mostly play survivor and the thing about the game is that as a survivor its very very easy to win if you know how to play so when you don't win it feels like BS. And sometimes it is BS like a mori or killers that just tunnel you because you're a p3 Cheryl running all meta perks even though they waste all game just to kill you while everyone else does gens....as an example.
So instead of the game looking survivor sided it looks im a god and deserve to win every game. If i never played killer thats exactly how i would think because in concept killer SHOULD be the power role.
Killer should be the power role but rng makes a massive difference on each game unfortunately.
The thing is if your facing a group of survivors who all have 1000+ hours then your going to need to sweat and depending on your map/perks/killers your probably going to lose.
People always say the game is survivor sided but they base it off a 4 man swf running all the meta perks. So in my head I go "Well if we're basing it off the best survivors, why don't we base it off the best killer also". I faced a PC Nurse main with double range on Red Forrest the other day. They had Monitor, BBQ, Infectious and (can't remember the last perk). She was blinking directly on top of you without you even hearing a terror radius and getting free hits. The map didn't even faze her.
As survivor you can pretty much play every game on autopilot if your good enough. Killer you need to be more focused and sweat. I'd say more maps favour survivors than killers also. I can't say though the game is survivor favoured due to the many variables this game has.

Left Behind.

Might get my mates to just kill themselves when my gen is nearly ready lol bring wake up, resilience, spine chill and dead hard.

I think the game map is pretty survivor sided, if survivors know how to run it. Size does not mean the map is killer/survivor sided (besides mothers dwelling, that map is too big). The amount of safe pallets on the game map is pretty crazy and reminds me of old blood lodge.
Mothers Dwelling is definitely too big. Though if you get a pc Nurse main with double range Monitor and BBQ it doesn't even make that much of a difference lol
If ran correctly the map can be survivor favoured however with Ruin and Undying if you can apply pressure it's killer favoured. Totems were always awkward to find on this map and now with this meta Ruin should last most of the game. Also I think the Game map quite easy for creating really good 3/4 gens.
The thing about old Blood Lodge was that you could see the killer coming from a mile away so you could always make it to a tile early. The Game is extremely good at giving you free hits due to the walls.
-
Shocked you never said haddonfield lol
Temple of Purgation is actually very good for killer if you guard a 3/4 gen. Once you get rid of the pallets in those areas it's pretty easy to win.
Also the Game is pretty good for killer and survivor honestly. Now that the meta of Ruin and Hex: Undying is here the Game map is even stronger because of the totem placements.
-
The game isn't survivor sided. If the other side have the correct build for the correct map then your probably going to lose.
Same with:
- Oni + Ultra Rare add-on on Hawkins
- Tier 1 Myers on Lerys without Spine Chill
- Iri Head Huntress on any open map
You had an extremely annoying game but it does happen. I recently faced a 4 man swf on Hawkins as Billy. Only got 3 hooks because I couldn't use the chainsaw and they played well.
As for your game it depends on your killer + build. You weren't going to win if you were a Clown with no perks. If I were you I would've tried these things:
- Create 3 gen
- If they keep running to main building then I'll come across that way so they can't
- Slug heavily
There's more you can do but it depends massively on the killer and perks.
-
It's unfortunate your deciding to leave.
I always say if you play this game solo it'll ruin you. You need to play swf to actually have fun with this game. It isn't to bully the killer like everyone thinks.
Swf helps massively against campers and tunnellers. Also you learn to not care about games since your only on to chat to your mates.
-
If I had my favourites it would be:
- Bloodborne (never going to happen)
- Resident Evil (game version)
- Evil Within
- Grudge
Just don't have them full of LINKED skins. I actually prefer the licensed chapters since they have the most hype going into them. Hate when behaviour just puts us into the ptb with no real idea who the killer is. The hype behind Pyramid Head was amazing. Showing the trailer just before the ptb went live was class.
Licenses I don't want to see are:
- Jason (just boring tbh)
- Candyman (just compared to the others above)
- IT (hype is gone)
What I really want to see is a completely different killer who changes the gameplay massively. Like Nurse where they are really slow or fast but their ability just changes how you loop.
-
Easily the Game. Love it as killer and survivor.
-
I have platinum. The Blight chapter trophies I haven't started grinding towards yet but I will soon.
Other than those the only trophy I never got was a Bill trophy. The one where you need to finish the last gen and escape through the door.

How does blight have little to no counterplay?
I said some of them, not specifically Blight. My comment was more about Pyramid Head and Deathslinger.
-
Yes they are trying to help survivors. They recent killers that have been added were:
- Blight
- Pyramid Head
- Deathslinger
- Oni
- Doctor rework
These killers are all A tier with some having little to no counters. They also released perks like:
- Dead Mans Switch (Gen blocking perk)
- Hex: Undying (It and Ruin are now meta)
- Dragons Grip (Perk that exposes you for tapping a gen after the killer kicks it)
They literally added a survivor perk that blocks gens lol the amazing job they have done helping survivors. DS is to help against tunnellers, campers and mori users. Same way the newly added gen perks above are to help with potential gen rushing.
New Ruin is better than the old one. More rewarding at high ranks and not op at low ranks. The recent changes have been to help balance the game better like:
- Fixing Billy's broken add-ons
- Making Bubba unreliant on perks
- Map changes 2 months ago
- Breakable walls on maps that had their graphics changed. These maps are now very good for killer.
- Buffing perks like Tinkerer to the point it's almost meta, Frankins can remove items from the game and you can't flashlight save anymore if the killer uses Lightborn.
Bar the bugs they've done an exceptional jobs in their efforts to balance the game.
-
She needs the add-on pass tbh
-
Surviving in this game while 2 people are drunk is pretty toxic.
-
I've struggled with the two recent flashlight changes. I don't understand why they made them.
Last night was the first time I got a flashlight save with the new flashlights. It was against a huntress when me and a mate were having some drinking/meme games.
So TL:DR version: New flashlights are easy if your drunk 👍
-
I kinda miss the Q&A information they put up (I hope this is the same person). I can't find the livestream anywhere so that discussion would've been nice.
Also miss Poweas. We had funny back and forths about hag.
-
Never play solo q it's not worth the trouble
-
It doesn't even work half the time for me lol
-
Basement locker roulette till they got hit lol
All jokes aside it hasn't happened before.
-
I think secretly everyone knows Legion is top tier. The thing is they don't think they're better than Spirit or Nurse.
So if we say the Legion is weak, they will get buffed and will become the best killer in the game. Then we will all see more Julie's which is what we want.
Anyone who disagrees is just going along with the act 😂
-
Saying the game is unbalanced is pretty funny ngl lol
-
They aren't killer or survivor sided though I always find these discussions hilarious to read lol
There are people who genuinely believe the devs are killer sided. All I say is DS + Unbreable lol
And loads of people think the devs are survivor sided 😂😂 just look at how highly rated the last few killers have been.
- Blight: At least A tier
- Pyramid Head: A tier
- Deathslinger: Most consider high B/A tier
- Doctor Rework: A tier
- Oni: A tier
The Plague, Ghostface and Demogorgan are also all at least B tier. All of the recent killers have been strong so no way the devs can be survivor sided.
