The "bugged" version of DS should just be its normal effect.

Seriously, escaping the grasp with a 2 second stun is all the perk needs to be.

It's still a crazy good perk if used correctly, it's just that if it's used carelessly it will be largely ineffectual.

  • A 2 second stun makes this perk absolutely useless.

Just make it a true anti-tunneling perk.

This way it could punish tunneling easier and would remove stupid situations like recently unhooked survivors being able to repair a gen in your face or even more annoying getting D-stricked after hooking 10 different people :]

  • 2 seconds isn’t time to do anything. It’s not an anti tunnel perk. GGs

It would still be very useful, but only if you don't use it expecting to get a 5 second stun.

If you want to DS the killer and get value out of it, all you have to do is go down next to a tile.

Even taking into account the time it takes to regain control of your character, it's enough time to move a few meters and drop a pallet, which is all it needs to be.

    Uuh,no?

2 seconds stun time is absolutely nothing.I've seen killers being able to down them again in like basically no time at all.

You would have to be lucky enough to be really really close to a window/pallet in order to not get downed again immediately.

  • The bugged ds is just useless. You have no time to get away from the killer unless your near a pallet or window.

  • This BS can only come from a usual tunneling 4K entitled killer main.

  • No, I'd say maybe reduce the stun by a second though. So instead of a 5 second stun, its a 4 second stun. Enough time to get away, but doesn't make the killer feel like they lost 3 gens in the stun time.

  • A 2sec DS stun is basically just a 1 second stun as it takes a second for the animation of escaping the killer's grasp to occur. It would absolutely kill the perk and I see no reason to nerf DS that much.

  • Found the killer main that never touched survivor in their life.

Yes, purely because they're expecting to get a five second stun.

If they're expecting a two second stun, they can plan accordingly.

It's not luck... it just isn't. If you know you have DS, and you know that DS is only useful if you're near a window/pallet, you're gonna make damn sure you go down near a window/pallet.

And when the killer camps and tunnel you off hook? And don't say BT because not everyone is a SWF.

    1. I-frames as you come off the hook mean you'll get the chance to act.
    2. I'm absolutely going to say BT, because SWF or not that perk is in every match.
    3. Even if they don't have BT, they can still tank a hit.
    4. Even if they don't/can't tank a hit, you can use SB or Dead Hard.
    5. Even if you don't have one of those, most hooks are located near a tile, meaning that the meters gained from DS mean you can still lead them on a decent chase.

But hey. I guess if you're farmed off the hook by a guy without Borrowed Time in the middle of a Dead Zone when you just so happen to be running Lithe, you might end up going back on the hook...

    ...but guess what?

That killer wasted so much time camping your ass that all the gens are now done.

    Not exactly a winning strategy.

"BUT MUH CAMPERS" is a bad argument.

  • I'm all for dropping the stun to four seconds, but two is too little time.

  • im not playing until fixed

If you can't play at your current level without DS, maybe you just aren't good enough for your current level.

  • Drop the stun to four seconds and make it a true anti-tunnel perk.

If not bugged, it is a four second stun, as the drop animation takes one.

Actually I always run d's, because at rank one, all you get are tunneling spirits. I still play, but it isn't fair how people are taking advantage of this to tunnel. Same for all bugs. People should be banned for using them to gain an unfair advantage

Actually I haven't seen bt run in months. Also if the killer times it right, they can down you before you can move.

How do you know people are taking advantage of this? They might have always played like that, and this bug is just making them stronger.

Possibly, but I doubt it. Almost every match has been spirit, hag, and huntress. I was tunneled in every one of these matches. Before the bug, I rarely got tunneled. Now it's every game. Also no one is playing blight either, since they want their easy tunnel and he isn't bugged.

This right here, folks. This is why our community is regarded as toxic.

    Because of mentalities like this.

  • I watched a Steve (who jumped in a locker like a little baby after sitting on a gen, so I'm not sorry about it) get downed almost immediately. If the killer had actually been tunneling, that would not be okay, and it is more important that the perk stops tunneling than disallows awful plays like that. Not by much more, but still by more.

This is by far the best explanation here.

Would love to see OP cry when one of his precious killer perks gets bugged 😂

The DS bug is great because the devs unintentionally fixed one of the most broken perks in the game (if only for a few killers) resulting in a generally better game.

Seeing as there are no perks of comparable power on the killer side (maybe Undying?) to bug out, I fail to see how disabling any one of them can result in an improvement to the game.

no, it wouldn’t. Run DS vs Freddy for example. Lemme know how that goes for ya

  • I think the bugged DS stun isn't as bad as people are making it out to be. It's enough time to get to a nearby pallet or window, but not enough time to get away if you're grossly out of position. 2 or 3 seconds is a long enough time to stun the killer and actually be able to do something. The fact that a survivor can literally just run to the opposite end of the map against most of the roster after being "tunneled" is just, really ######### dumb.
