yeah all these nerfs and survivors are STILL on top
pretty weird right?
Not weird at all. They were extremely strong before so the devs tried to close the divide. I was just replying to a comment that tried to say the devs are survivor favoured.
Currently the balance of the game is this.
Low ranks - Killers destroy survivors
High ranks - Very good 4 man swfs will win most games
-
Freddy doesn't need nerfed. He is an extremely easy killer to play but can still do well against the good swf teams. Other killers who take more time to learn/master are better (Spirit, Nurse, Hag and Billy).
-
Alright bois vote him out. He's 100% the imposter lol
All jokes aside the game has lost a little toxicity because of crossplay but it's still extremely toxic.
-
If it bothers you that much you shouldn't play killer. There are a load of reasons why choosing not to face swf teams/knowing when your about to face swf teams is a bad idea.
-
We can all live in peace in this game. Posted a discussion the other day of a game me and my mates had vs a streamer. Honestly if more people were like this guy the world would be a better place.
Will say though I'll never agree with hag players/supporters. That is one divide I'll happily keep that way.
-
I'd say it's because people are used to talking ######### about their opponents or teammates and sometimes forget they are live.
However there are some youtubers/streamers who just make fun of their opponents and their audience likes it. I'd say if you don't play well vs a streamer then don't watch the video. We've unfortunately all had those bad games vs a live streamer.
-
Well because of potential moris, tunnelling and broken add-ons that's why some people bring meta perks and keys.
It's a bad cycle that hopefully the devs can fix someday.
-
Right now with DS bugged it's incredibly easy to get this challenge done. I hate to admit it but I try to get challenges done as quick as seemingly possible so I'm definitely going to have 3 unfun games soon.
More than likely it will be Freddy with Nemesis and an Ebony. I don't want to be stuck on this challenge for 5+ games so I'm definitely going to get it done in 3.
-
Everyone just ignore the thread. It's a fake account created to troll people. No matter what they say it's all a joke and every comment after this one is just helping the troll.
-
Aftercare or Blood pact. Just love aura perks tbh.
If I've got a build then it's Breakout and MoM.

No, it's killers who get nerfed.
Yes killers get NeRfEd...
Recent patch:
- Badham nerfed for survivor
Few months ago:
- Nerfed maps to remove infinites
- Nerfed maps to make then smaller
- Nerfed the amount of tiles/pallets on certain maps
- Nerfed hook tech
Future nerfs:
- Keys
- Early game slowdown mechanic
Yes only killers get nerfed. This is literally everything I could think of in 5 minutes so imagine how many more there is.

Hag. Her counterplay feels so unengaging to me, and her camping potential is gigantic. If she gets a hook in the basement it's often gg.

Hag.
• Forcibly pulls your camera to traps (annoying)
• Difficult to practically impossible traps to notice
• Can't disable traps you do notice so hope you're running Urban Evasion, Fixated while also Healthy, or brought a Flashlight with a Battery
• Hag can easily trap a hook and force you to crouch unless you want her to teleport from halfway across the map, might as well give up on the rescue if it's the basement because she put traps all the way down the stairs
@Mandy said:
Hag, always has been. She's also my least favourite killer to play as, I don't even do Hag dailies I just really don't enjoy playing as her.

Hag, the proxy camping machine.
@[Deleted User] said:
Hag is the definition of camping and uninteractive gameplay. Most Hags I play against don't even chase people, they just put traps around a 3 gen and defend hooks.
@SnakeSound222 said:
Ghostface because of his inconsistent reveal.
Hag because her counterplay’s not very fun and how much camping potential she has.
Trapper because I’m terrified I’ll run to a trapped loop. It can be scary to suddenly hear the sound of that trap snapping shut in the middle of a chase.
Can I just say I love you all. Anyone who dislikes Hag is someone I value highly lol
If the long list of people saying Hag isn't my answer I don't know what is.
For me the reason I hate her is because I think her design is extremely flawed. She's either extremely difficult to counter or easy to bully. If you have urban or flashlights then her traps are easily destroyed but otherwise you can't do anything against them. I think it's a bad design if the only real counters are a limited item or a perk that isn't that good (don't attack urban claudettes).
Then the camping.. gotta love the proxy camping Hag's who place 10 traps around the hook. Since the camera always turns toward her traps (another thing I hate) she can quite easily get one kill (more like probably 2/3) if she plays this game.
Lastly a very good Hag is extremely unfun to verse. Sorry but I don't find it fun that I have to crouch around the whole map just incase she has a random trap in the middle of the map.
Hag rant is over. Feeling light headed now so I'll going to get a drink.
-
- Remove Hag - Not a nerf, just delete her from the game
- Fix bugs on both sides
- Proper balance between solo q, swf and killer.
-
Unfortunately this game is full of idiots. It's extremely annoying but unfortunately there's nothing that can be done to stop them. Same can happen on both sides.
Had a Hag on Hawkins last night. She has Ruin, Devour Hope, Undying and Corrupt Intervention. She was also using an ebony mori and mint rag. She immediately moris someone shortly after they got unhooked and I killed myself on hook with 1 gen left because she was camping me and the other 2 were doing nothing.
Unfortunately one of these 2 was a mate of mine who I'm trying to get into this game. The Hag had both people upstairs and proceeded to down them, then let them live to only down them again. After finally killing my mate she let the last survivor crawl to the hatch and close it in his face.
He had Adrenaline and ran to the door. She pretended to farm with him again but once he got the door 90% she grabbed him off it. She waited till the EGC timer was about to run out before moring him. I was struggling that whole time to explain to my mate what exactly she was doing and why he couldn't just dc.
This game can be so ######### if either side decides to be an ass about it.

Oh you mean the killer who goes "Arghh!" and then you just tap a or d and miss her axe by miles? That's not counterable, that's something you'd have to be blind to miss. Clearly you want the same with the slinger, go play civ 5 then.
Wait so your telling me Huntress is not counterable? Think you've misread my thing mate.

I consider people that play toxic sweating, because they kinda are, I got the build from other people on the forums, I don't pay attention to how the killer plays most the time unless they are troubling to play against. For me it's harder to transition to something else when I embed it into my head. Playing killer isn't just muscle memory no matter how skilled a Survivor.
I acknowledge I haven't seen the worst of it though since I am not a red rank killer, but people also avoid it so they don't get put with green ranks when they have no experience, or even red/purple
Ok you can call them toxic. Though you can't call that a sweat squad when they are nowhere near good enough to be one.
What I meant about knowing how to play killer because of survivor is this. You know as survivor what keeps you alive so as killer you then know what it takes to kill them.

My other comments probably didn't load, but I don't play killer, I main Survivor, farmed BP and spent it all on Ghostface getting everything from the shrine except Brutal Strength, farmed BP for Trapper
Even if you never played killer your Devotion 3. This means you know the game well enough to know how a killer should play. You knew Ghostface's best add-ons and got pretty decent perks.
Sorry but if your Devotion 3 you have a very good understanding of the game. Also at Devotion 3 you should know that's not a sweat squad.
-
You cannot call that a sweat squad. Take a minute to look at their perks mate.
- Only 1 BT
- No DS
- No Dead Hard
- Only 1 Spine Chill
- No Adrenaline
- No Sprint Burst
- No Unbreakable
- Urban evasion
If they were smurf accounts they would be using a lot better perks or playing characters that have some of those perks.
Now look at your build:
- BBQ - Meta
- Pop Goes The Weasil - Meta
- Brutal Strength - Extremely good perk
- I'm All Ears - Decent perk
- Recovery Add-ons - Best for Ghostface
Even if you haven't played in a while you still should've destroyed that team. I'd say the only player who has a decent build was the one who brought a flashlight and coldwind.

- I lowered the timer because if you're not being tunneled there is no reason to keep it so long, also I wanted to remove instances where you hook a Survivor, meanwhile he gets unhooked, hook another two Survivors and then find the previous one and still get Decisive Striked because the timer was just too long, however if you're being tunneled the timer goes 3x slower.
- I did this because of the "unfair" (Or at least I think that) synergy between Unbreakable and Decisive Strike, also the timer goes 3x slower while in the Dying State, so the Killer would need to stand there for a while.
- I wanted to reduce the synergy between Decisive Strike and some other second chance perks, but maybe this one isn't needed.
- Yea, probably would be a better idea.
Sure, take your time. :)
My idea for a DS change is completely different to your change. I'm just messaging my mates to see if they see an obvious counter to it or something that can be abused.

Can you explain this a bit more.Ive seen you other guides for levels 1,2 and 3 but I don't really understand it.How do you make an optimal path and stuff.
Thank you and keep doing amazing job!
I take a look at the challenges and see what is the best path to take to save as many bloodpoints as possible.
As to how to I exactly find the optimal path it's really just trial and error till I find the best one. You can use logic to tell you where the path must pass a certain times but after that it's just trial and error.
You want me to show you an example if this?
-
To be honest I feel like your idea has a few problems mate. Here's some of the reasons why:
- DS and lockers are the only true counters to moris. Lowering it by 30 seconds just makes grabbing a survivor out of the locker easier.
- Not keeping DS after getting up off the ground gives the killer a massive advantage. They stand near you waiting for you to get up then immediately down you and hook you.
- Some of the nerfs feel kind of weird. Don't see why you shouldn't have DS when you kobe or deliverance.
- Having no obsession to start the game is ok. I'd rather instead though that the game always spawns an obsession.
While reading this though another thought about a DS change came to my head but I need a minute or so to think is it good or broken.

You're obviously new to the game. It created no infinites because the killer could just chase you the opposite direction, blocking you from dropping. Even if this wasn't the case you only gained ground if there was a window with the passive before the drop.
There's a reason more people used dead hard than balanced back then.
Mate I'm sorry but your completely in the wrong here. The stagger reduction was just so strong you could create infinites.
Take haddonfield main building for example. Your counter argument is for the killer to turn around. Well as a survivor I vault the window and wait till he vaults before I drop. If he doesn't drop immediately I know he's probably going back through the window. I will then go around the building and go back upstairs or just go to another amazing building on that map. Maps like Hawkins, Ormond and Disturbed Ward are also extremely strong with this perk.
You mentioned later about Shelter Woods being a bad map for it as an argument to someone saying how broken the perk was on haddonfield. Just remember Nurse is the strongest killer in the game but is horrible on Lerys. Also you could get balanced off the tree in the middle if you used it right.
No matter which way you shape it the perk was completely broken.
-
You may be my soul mate lol

Swf map chat is basically cheating. Leaking all info across the map to everyone is game breaking for the killer. SWF is CHEAP
Using moris to get kills is CHEAP.
Escaping with the key is CHEAP.
Getting kills because of Iri Head Huntress is CHEAP.
Tunnelling and face camping one player is CHEAP.
Seems like we're all cheap and cheaters.

4 good solos are almost as good as a swf, the problem with solo is the matchmaking, because it only takes 1 weak link on your team to lose, so I don't think losing against solos is embarrassing.
I based what I said off matchmaking lol if you had 4 good solo players then you should do decent against most killers. You can't do as well as a good swf but that's understandable.
-
I wait at the doors but I don't t-bag or click flashlights unless the killer earned it.
If I'm running WGLF I want to farm stacks off the killer if I can. I also want to get a few extra points if I can.

...Wot, so a Fellow killer main can't have fun with a killer that changes playstyle?
The thing is mate Deathslinger just isn't counterable if he knows what he's doing. A good Deathslinger should only ever miss 1 shot per match. The free zoning he gets from just lifting his weapon is enough.
Huntress is a good example of how to perfectly balance a 110% killer. She is extremely strong but her wind up is slow so you can counter her. She's better than Deathslinger and she's better than most 115% killers.
I'd rather they increase Deathslingers speed to 115% if they were able to balance his power better.
-
Unfortunately the meta will never change unless the nerf some perks pretty hard. There are loads of really good perks you can run instead of the meta but they are only if you like the perk.
-
It's Pop and Corrupt on set up killers like Myers and Trapper. Pop is pretty much on every killer except for the few using the build below.
Ruin and Undying on Blight, Doctor and Legion. This combination works extremely well. I also use tinkerer on Blight.
Discordance on Freddy. I find it works extremely well on him.
-
They never take information from their surveys. I remember around the end of tome 2 they created a survey talking about the content in the rift.
Weirdly enough nothing has changed since that survey.

That's the thing, my friends just ignore me, it says read when I ask to play, bit no response. It seems they only play when it's convenient for them. It stresses me out 10x more cuz my anxiety overwhelms me and I feel like they think I am annoying. It sends me to breakdown mode. I rather have a breakdown over a videogame.
Well maybe try and make more friends on dbd. If you play well enough in a game and send them a friend request they'll probably accept. I'd suggest maybe turning off crossplay so you'll get people from your own side and be able to chat with them.
After a week you should have at least 5 or more new friends who you can squad up with.

As much as I hate to say it, swf does solve all those problems. I never play solo que anymoe. Since they turned on cross play this feels like the worst batch of randoms we've ever had.
Swf gives reliable teammates, good strategies to counter camping and tunnelling and is overall more fun.
I don't mind getting camped or tunnelled if I'm having a good conversation with my mates at the same time.
-
Play swf. Fixes 99% of your problems.
-
Extremely good perk. The unhooking speed is godly, with the healing speed being a slight bonus.

Did anyone escape? The wording in it is super misleading. You HAVE to get 9+ to QUALIFY for Iri, not actually get it. 9+ hooks is basically the bulk score. Then, you get points if they all died. If someone escaped, it negates the points, or at least it kept doing it for me.
@Gylfie said:
You need 9 hooks, 1 hook on each survivor and a 4k.

I've gotten a 3K and managed Iri before. But I think it's cause one guy DC'd and was on the hook when he DC'd.
Yea I assumed this is why I didn't get it. Just the wording put me off. Could've gotten the 4k in that game but last girl got the door.

when the tome is over? does it auto collect the points?
No it doesn't. Once tome 4 is over your challenges are still saved so you can collect the points during the next tome if you want. However you won't get the rift fragments if you collect the challenges AFTER the tome 4 is over.

You only get the rewards for reaching one of the two ends.

-
Gonna be honest I find him extremely frustrating. He comes on once every 4-5 months and apologies and tries to say he'll be better but isn't. He really doesn't deserve the amount of fans he has.
He's a great content creator and I'd definitely watch any video he uploads but I just don't want to see anymore "I'm sorry I'll be better" stuff. I'd rather he either sets a schedule no matter if it's once a week/two or just says he's done.
-
Be happy you weren't playing this game when there were infinites, unlimited sprint burst/dead hard, massive maps, immediate instaheals and double pallet tiles.
The game is the most balanced it's ever been. The last 5 killers added are all A tier. The map reworks have really helped killer. This chapter patch literally made Badham and Yamamota a lot better maps for killer.

Just giving this one repost incase people haven't seen it. This is the only repost I'll do on this discussion.

Its not Facts , rushing the gens is YOUR objective not what the devs told you to do , if you don't want to risk Noed its part of your objective , your main objective is to survive so you do everything you need to do to survive , doing totems is one of the things you need to do to survive
Right I think I need to explain this to you one last time.
First off I have no problem with NOED in it's current state. It can be annoying at times but I don't think it needs changed or nerfed.
Now as survivor your objective is to do gens. Anything else is a waste of time statistically. If you want to open chests, heal or cleanse totems that's fine but your technically wasting time not doing your objective.
Now go back to the OP's original discussion. They are saying that DS is technically punishing killer performing well. That is technically true. Noed technically punishes survivors for playing well and rushing gens. Don't know why I've had to repeat this so many times in thos discussion but it's the last time. I hope you understand this now mate.
Also side note mate please use some full stops. It makes reading your message a lot easier.

It must be so annoying to be forced to listen to noise that is purposefully loud so you can't hear your opponents.
But man chase music on the killer side and survivor noises are just fine aren't they?
In all seriousness, I wish they'd get rid of the loud and obnoxious "extra noises" they use to mask other noises. There was a period of a few months where the music was very quiet and the game was much more atmospheric as a result.
Yea chase music can be annoying (I literally hate everything about Billy's in particular). They really don't need to make more obnoxious noises but they seem to love to lol
-
I don't understand why they added the noise. No one asked for it and from the people I've talked to no one likes it.
Don't want to sound like a d*ck but I just find it extremely annoying to listen to and I don't think there was any reason to add it.
-
I agree with this. Don't want every single game till the mid chapter/next chapter being only keys and moris.
-
I'd say this game helped me look at multiple points of view before doing anything. There's probably many other things the game has taught me but I can't think of them right now.
I did my driving the same year as I started playing this game. Safe to say my bad skills were showing during driving.
