No.
I do my best not to "main," killers, I play with a lot of variety, but Hag was the first killer I got to level 50. Here's why she's fun to play.
1. Her add-ons are extremely game changing. They can completely change her playstyle without crippling her.
2. Her perks are pretty fun and lead to some crazy builds. Ruin/Undying is a boring combo, but if you don't entirely rely on Ruin as your best perks it can be really great. Devour Hope is amazingly fun, denies the Survivors the ability to call you a camper, and can really mess up a survivors day. Third Seal isn't super useful but it can be funny to watch Survivors with aura-heavy builds try to counter it.
3. Her ability is amazing. She's a simultaneously a 110 killer and more mobile than most 115s. Not only can she straight-up deny loops, it's hilarious watching them panic after vaulting a pallet straight into a trap. She's one of the only killers who can benefit from not breaking pallets. Not to mention her ability just gives her great map knowledge.
4. Regardless of what some annoying survivors say, she has solid counterplay. If she's carrying a Survivor, or if you know that she's across the map from you, run through trapped areas. You can destroy a lot of her setup. Or, just use flashlights or crouch.
Ok here's why I despise her:
- Add-ons are horrible to face. Rusty shackles removes any information you get from looping. Mint Rag is an easy Make Your Choice distance camping tool.
- Her counterplay is basically having 1 item or using urban evasion (a perk I hate). I don't think a killer should be really easy to counter with items and perks but pretty much impossible otherwise. You running around to disable traps only works if she's on the opposite side of the map and you know where the traps are. Though she usually guards one half anyway so this doesn't normally matter.
- Camping ability is extremely strong. She sets 10 traps around the area and proxy camps and it's an easy kill.
- Camera turning towards her when a trap is triggered. This helps massively with her camping since it can cancel unhook attempts.
- Crouching I find boring. Crouching around the whole map incase you walk into a trap is just boring and frustrating. With the grass and the dark maps it's very difficult to see her traps.
- Scroll wheel Hag. People who have faced a scroll wheel Hag know exactly what I'm talking about.
Btw I want to keep her perks. The perks shouldn't be removed with her.
-
Finally a discussion where I feel home.
Yes she's annoying. Yes she's boring. Yes she should be deleted from the game.
-
This is like the 4th change they've made to flashlights in 6 months.
This is the thing that has annoyed me the most with this chapter.

I haven't played against The Twins yet, but it seems they are just as fun to verse as they are to play, which is barely.
I'd say they're fun until it turns into a slug fest. Out of the 5 games against them I had yesterday 4 of them turned into a constant heal/slug fest. Usually this happened at endgame.
Once you have 1 downed and 1/2 injured you basically just run around as Victor and down everyone. He is extremely hard to counter.
-
You played Hag so I think it worked perfect lol

We choose the questions that have the most upvotes. We made this change after the feedback we received on these forums about only answering certain questions and not the ones that the Community wanted answered. We make very clear that some things can't be discussed, such as upcoming changes/content etc...but then when we don't pick those questions, we're accused of "cherry picking" - that's why we made the decision to use the questions with the most upvotes.
May I ask is there any questions about the new flashlights? No one really had time to ask about them because they were collecting the questions a week ago.

The Devout bug is only with the Twins, right? No one's experienced it with other Killers? I'm going to go for Adept Freddy on PS5 and want to make sure I'm not wasting time and putting myself through hell for no reason.

Someone at BHVR wakes up and goes "hmm, how can we screw over flashlight users today?" That has to be the explanation, they've changed way too many times for it not be.
I thought slightly differently on this. I think someone at behaviour is trash at flashlights and with each update they are trying to make it easier for themselves lol
-
I think this is a good thing. It helps stop the constant attack and slug mechanic of victor.
They need a buff but I think this is something they shouldn't change.

They haven't acknowledged much of anything these past couple of updates.
They barely even gave a response to the Halloween event beyond "we're looking into it"
I was able to hit flashlight saves at 4am while drunk before this update. Now I can't even hit simple ones. I aim perfect then it starts moving awkwardly. Also the beam doesn't fully close anymore so I can't tell how close I am to actually getting a blind.
I swear someone at behaviour is just doing this to troll the community.
-
It would be nice if the devs actually acknowledged this.
Just spent 30 mins practicing flashlights. The sway is horrible!! I swear it just decides to swing into random directions for no reason.

That's why I dont play this game as much. The devs can only get so much support til they get punished by their ######### decisions.
Crazy to see Scott be angry at the devs but they had it coming.
Unfortunately it doesn't matter what he says.
They need to all come together and complain about these things.
-
Where to begin:
- Unfinished killer
- Broken perks
- Changed flashlights AGAIN
Theres a lot more but I'm away to get food so I'll leave it there.

They never do. Although I actually like it they just need it to stop moving every two seconds.
People want to support the devs but when they do ######### like this without saying anything it just pisses people off.
Watched ScottJund talking last night about the devs. You can see the genuine frustration on him. There's only so much people can defend them.
-
Everybody unfortunately wants to face fun. Trolling killers can be fun to some.
I feel your pain though. I went for adept and only lost it because someone brought a key. 1 gen left. 1 dead, 1 downed, 1 hooked and he dead harded into hatch to escape.

There is a theory that they keep changing the flashlight to stop survivors from getting good. So they make it inconistent. I actually like it but they need to fix the bug that makes the beam move like crazy.
I don't like it. New players will adjust whereas new players who are trying to learn won't understand what's happening.
Why not let the community know what your doing.
-
The timing is the same but it doesn't look correct. The beam doesn't fully close like it normally does.
I don't understand why they keep changing this.
-
Hmm well colour me shocked and call me bugged by daylight.
-
I'd make the key a fully aura based item. Mainly used to track survivors and killer positions.
If they can't change the escaping hatch trophy (all 4 survivors must escape) they need to create a new add-on. This add-on will allow the survivor to open the hatch after a short interaction.

But if the devs keep adding powers that beef up SWFs while nerfing killers... Then the killers will stop playing. I’m not playing as killer after the new DLC comes out. DS, Flip Flop, Unbreakable, and Power Struggle.
Survivors are becoming way too powerful. I like playing survivor more than killer now, but is just ridiculous at this point. How easier can it be for coordinated teams to win?
Maybe if your that afraid of that build you could run Infectious Fright. Let's you know whether to slug a survivor in a pallet or not. Also if they run this build you won't face any Unbreakable, Dead Hard, Spine Chill or BT.
It's a gimmick build. You'll see it rarely and only when swf teams are trying to troll. When swf teams try to troll they usually die because they over commit to the build.
Lastly they are adding "powers" that buff survivors and nerf killers. If you mean actually powers the last few killer powers have been quite good. Blight, Pyramid Head, Deathslinger and Oni all have really strong powers. If you mean perks then again the devs just added Undying which is a buff to Ruin and the new strongest meta in the game.
-
I find him fun but the inconsistencies between the turning of a console Blight compared to a PC one too annoying.
Otherwise I think he's the best killer they've added to the game since Ghostface.

I feel like there are legit toxic survivors, but the quantity of killers I get who see doing gens/looping as toxic just makes absolutely no sense. A lot just seem to think they're entitled to easy games.
Yes there are genuinely toxic survivors but not every survivor is toxic.
I've had a game where a Spirit with old prayer beads was face camping someone when no gens were done. Oh yea she also had an Ebony mori and Noed.
-
I love the hate messages lol I find the reasons they use for losing as hilarious
-
If you want to be toxic yea. Thing is I don't think too many survivors even like the map themselves lol
I find the map annoying to play on both roles.
-
People will camp for stupid reasons unfortunately.
-
Well if you went after the unhooking survivor then they wouldn't need a cooldown.
If I were you I'd ignore this chat for now on mate. They're just going to prove you like to tunnel.
-
I'd use kindred if your solo. If your in a swf I'd use either BT or Resilience.
Resilience is good for me because I usually stay injured the whole game. It also gives increased vault speed for chases.
-
Goes the same for both roles.
Killer you feel like you should be in control so when your not it is frustrating. It's why it's more stressful but also feels more rewarding.
It's why playing solo I find frustrating because I can't control what my randoms do. In a swf I can at least know that everyone is being efficient.
-
I don't mind this idea. I'll take a better look tomorrow and see if it seems abusible.
I'd only change 2 things:
- The instant escape mechanic should be removed.
- DS rework: If you get unhooked you have the endurance status effect for 15 seconds.
-
Easy one we'd do. Take a drink everytime you miss a flashlight attempt.
-
I think it would be cool if you were given an incentive to play certain characters.
My idea was a bloodpoint bonus for using that characters own perks.
Example: Meg
You get 15% increase to bloodpoints earned after the trial if you were using 1 of Meg's unique perks. For each other Meg perk you use you get an additional 15% bloodpoints up to a maximum of 45%.
-
I hope nobody is using it. It's pretty trash tbh.
Used it last night for the first time in over 2 years for a meme build. Still bad.
-
I will kill everyone no matter what.
Though it depends on the scenario as to why they may sandbag. I've had plenty of games where a survivor does nothing at all and I've thought "the second you get hooked I'm letting you die".
-
Getting them both with shards. Wouldn't buy a uncompleted killer for money.

All my recent 3-4 plague games where red-purple players. Only in the last game they refused to cleanse, which killed them in the end bc they played to bold and bc of Infectious. The other games were "cleansing parties" where some even escaped. Be it bc I suck at puking or the constant cleansing stressed me more so i could not play as effectively. In one particular game on Saloon where i played with the blight addon, I legit forgot each and every blight rush I earned bc the game felt so stressful. I could have made good use with the rushes for defending gens (has TInkerer, so knew where to go) or rushing past survivors on their run to the gate.
That's weird lol
-
It's unfortunately not as big of a problem as other things. It is a problem but there are certain things that need to be worked on first.

In my recent plague games I had no problem with survs not cleansing, but quite the opposite. They cleansed right of the bat, not even being fully infected. Sure that gives me many damage-puke to use, but also forces me to use the fountains in order to not get them all reset. And prevents me using the normal puke for infecting ppl and objectives (better tracking). It felt legitimately more stressful then playing against non-cleansing folks, bc thats what I'm used to.
Depends on the ranks usually. Most red ranks refuse to cleanse.
-
Personally I thought it would've been decent on Plague. She has trouble confirming downs and I think with Coup De Grace she could get downs easier.
Also it may force other survivors to cleanse quicker.
-
Hag is just disgusting. We should delete her lol
-
This can never achieve true balance.
Killer alone can't be balanced. Billy loves open maps but Ghostface doesn't.
-
If killers want to slug for the 4k then it's fair enough.
I believe the last survivor should be able to kill themselves.
If they implement a system for finding the last survivor or they know the location of the hatch then maybe they could allow the 3rd survivor to kill themselves.
I think slugging for the 4k is a result of bad endgame design.

There are guarranted spawns you should be b lining to. If its a scenarip where these pallets are being expended by your team at a fast rate then the issue is likely elsewhere. Even then windows and fences function as absurd ways to get distance on this map. If your relying on pallets to protect you on haddonfield then your paying the map wrong.
Well here's an example of what I'm talking about.
Imagine doing a gen behind a house. The garage in front of the house sometimes spawns a pallet and sometimes it doesn't. This is the sort of scenario I'm talking about.
I've got over 3k hours so I definitely know the areas where pallets are guaranteed to spawn lol

Sure it wasn't a wraith that was invisible?
-
Bring Object Of Obsession, Balanced Landing and send yourself to a map with multiple floors.
Haddonfield, Ormond and Cortus Prenn all work very well. From what I heard the hills don't count towards the challenge (haven't tested this myself). Force the killer to chase you and drop down off the top of the main buildings on these maps.
-
This is why I also dislike haddonfield lol you don't know where the dead zones are until your there.

There is nothing I hate more than a killer NOT bringing a bloodpoint offering then asking to farm.
Mate if you texted beforehand or brought a bp offering I would've happily farmed.

Oh man I feel this.
The other day was dealing with Hag on Wretched Shop. Basement was in there and a meg went down nearby, so of course she gets hooked down there. Dwight and Ace kept repeatedly going down to save, and subsequently hook trade. Even the Meg was dumb enough to go back down to rescue either of them.
I’m just on gens, getting rid of Hexes thinking “Nope! I’m not going down there!”
Get a message from the Dwight post game going OFF at me. How bad and crap I am (despite me doing 3 gens on my own, getting rid of Ruin and some other Hex, and healing a few of them successfully getting out of the basement)
Like man, no, it’s not my fault you all completely ignored the proven fact that going down to the basement against Hag is suicide.
That's just dumb teammates mates for you. I wouldn't have went near there because Hag reasons lol
The games where a survivor camps shack pallet are big ones. Late game it doesn't bother me as much but at the beginning of the game it just angers me lol it's hard to describe the scenarios where I make that decision but I know when I make that decision it was the right one.
-
I will let bad players die. If they make a mistake then it's fine but if they make some really really bad mistakes then I want to let them die.
In my opinion it's better letting them derank so I'm less likely to get matched with them again.
-
I'd kill all 3 to be safe. It is bannable to team but in your circumstance I think your fine.
If you messaged them during the game asking to farm that would've been bad but since you didn't then that's fine. It was their decision to bring you to the other survivors.
I would've done the exact thing in both your and the other survivor's scenario.
