It's not early lmao. He said after all the gens are done and they're ready to leave.
He said endgame which could be all gens done and no doors open.

I didn't give up early. The game is over. There's one injured person, three fully healed, all on comms so they can just bodyblock and trade hits. At least one had DS so the others do too, and at least one had BT. This is a no-win scenario. I'm not going to magically start getting insta-downs on Freddy without NOED, and even then it would be a stretch.
As long as they aren't right next to the doors you still have a chance. If their on comms they will be super altruistic which you can bait easily. If the doors are open and they are near it then fair enough but you should try to the very end. Your not going to get a 4k but you could still get 1/2 kills.
If they are all following you to a corner then they know you've given up. If you do this again deliberately go to a corner as far away from the doors as possible so you have a chance of getting a kill.
-
All I will say mate is that giving up early isn't going to help you get any better at this game.
-
I can't tell if your complaining their OP or just bugged.

First perk seems alright. It’s a bit like Bond/Empathy really but the survivors don’t have to be injured.
second perk. It’s a bit weird really. You become exposed for 30 seconds and have your aura shown to the killer for 4 seconds. Just so the survivors can see the killer for 3 seconds? I mean, if u are near to the killer then u are practically screwed. 😂 But if u are far away then I suppose it’s alright.
And the third perk. I don’t see anything wrong with this tbh. If it had a maximum of 100% then that’d be over the top. But it’s not. Say your teammate has healed u to about 60% and then the killer chases you, does the heal progress still go up to 100? So then u can fully heal whilst getting chased?
Perk 1: Yea it's meant to be an information perk. You will be able to tell if the killer has BBQ, Bitter Murmur, Rancor or Scratched Mirror.
Perk 2: I imagine it as a object of obsession for solo q. It's meant to encourage the killer to chase you since your exposed.
Perk 3: No once you reach 50% heal progression you can't go any higher. If your healed to 40% then you'll only heal 10% in that chase.
My favourite perk ideas were on my old chapter so I wanted to use new ones. These are aimed at more experienced players who are good in chases and confident to be exposed.

Aight, here we go. I’m crap at giving feedback btw. 😂
I feel like this killers name could be ‘The Scientist’ or ‘The Engineer’? Obviously that’s a pretty bland name so if u don’t want it, then that’s fine. But u could also change the crossbow into some sort of Electric Orb gun.😂
The Power. It seems fine to me tbh. Using survivors progression against them. 😂, but remember. This game is so survivor sided that u could get away with putting another ability into that. But that’ll probably make the survivor mains really salty. Maybe if u shot an electric orb at a dropped pallet it could break the pallet? Or if u shoot an orb at a window or a standing pallet, it could electrify the window or pallet so when survivors go through the window or drop the pallet they get electrocuted and stunned for 2 seconds? Just a small ability upgrade.
now the perks.
perk 1 - seems like a decent perk for early stages of the trial. But I also feel like it’s pretty useless cuz once 3 gens have been touched it no longer works like discordance would. What if it applied to every generator? So the first time it gets touched, u get a notification. That surely can’t be too ‘OP’ cuz it’ll only work that one time for each gen.
perk 2 - like the previous guy said, it’s like BBQ but it doesn’t matter where survivors are. 😂. This perk seems fine tbh, I don’t think anything has to be changed here. If u wanna add a certain range to it, it wouldn’t be the end of the world and would still be a decent perk. 👍🏻
Perk 3 - I feel as if this would only be good if a survivor was trying to troll u by standing behind u just after u get stunned by a pallet. 😂. Does this apply to when survivors head on stun u or DS stun u? If so, I would still probably tweak the timer by making it 20 seconds. Or if u feel that’s too long then 15.
Like I said tho, I’m crap at giving feedback. If u don’t wanna use any of this. Then that’s fine! 😂👍🏻
I went to reply to this yesterday but dead by daylight forums obviously love to just delete a full 5 paragraphs of text like it's nothing lol
Originally the secondary power was going to include him being able to electrify windows that he vaulted lol I scrapped this because I found it hard to balance. The pallet destroying part could be a very rare/ultra rare add-on.
Perk 1: This perk was hard to balance correctly. It's definitely getting changed a bit. I'm probably going to give the same condition for the first 3 gens to each stage of the perk (I.e. every time a gen is completed).
Perk 2: I'm quite happy with this perk. It's a reverse BBQ that I actually feel like is better for the killer. Survivors can't now counter it as easily as BBQ. I also feel like it can give some random chase value.
Perk 3: I'm probably going to increase the time to 10/15/20 seconds for the exposed. It's meant to be run with Enduring but it definitely was too weak by itself. It does work for every stun btw though that makes no difference for DS.
Your feedback was good mate thank you. No feedback is bad feedback as long as someone explains why the feel someone is weak, strong or balanced. Suggestions are usually just a bonus. Now I'm adding survivor perks but you don't need to read those as you've already done what I wanted you to do.

They held of for a pretty long time considering that the done change is a matter of minutes to code and was available from the get go.
I don't think they decided to change moris and keys to recently. I assume they needed to get some data first on how powerful these items are then do some internal testing before making any changes.

Holidays. If they start a PTB on the 22th, they would most likely not work on it anymore.
Last year the Deathslinger-Chapter also was released in March, meaning the PTB took place mid-February.
Fair enough. Knew that things would be slow over the holidays but I assumed they would've just released the ptb and left it alone till we after the holidays.
-
I'm surprised that there wasn't a ptb yesterday. It's been 3 weeks since the Twins released so it should've been announced by now what the ptb holds.
I'm hoping that if they're not going to do the ptb on schedule then they should have more on it.

Then they could have delayed the mori nerf until they are ready for both.
I felt the same when they released the nerf but someone said that why should they keep something broken in the game when they can change it now.
If they can fix something that's broken then they should do it. No point holding it off.
-
Both keys and moris are broken and needed nerfed.
Thing is keys require a full rework whereas mori's just needed 1 value changed.
-
Play swf if it annoys you that much
-
Legion is a killer who punishes players who have no idea how to loop.
Things the Legion does well:
- They can keep you injured the whole game.
- They can find you pretty easily after hitting another survivor with their power.
- Short so on some loops you won't be able to see them over it.
Here's what you need to do:
- Don't heal and rush gens. If your a self care user then nows the time to learn to play without it. The Legion injures people easily so you healing wastes time that could be spent doing gens.
- If they miss they're ability or the time runs out they're stunned for 4 seconds. This is good to know since you can run away to a loop or vain distance.
- Try and stay separated from other teammates. The farther apart youse are, the harder it is for Legion to injure everyone.
- They CANNOT down you in their power. If your injured or in deep wound and the Legion wants to hit you with their power then let them. It'll give you a speed boost to gain distance so don't waste a pallet when there's no reason to.
- You need to learn how to loop. Looping isn't easy but when you master it then this killer is one of the weakest in the game.
I hope this helped mate.
-
Power: Seems like it should be extremely strong but I'd say it's probably a weaker Spirit. The fact the survivors can see the mist is a good thing. I feel like STBFL is a pretty meta perk for him. Don't understand how the white mist can juke survivors though since the way you explained it seemed like the killer was where the white mist was.
The Secondary ability I quite like. Very interesting for mind games. You've balanced it quite well by still leaving the prompt on the screen.
Wiggle Exposure: A fun gimmick perk. It's basically a basement build perk. The cooldown needs to be removed as it's already a very niche perk.
Never Let Go: This perk is extremely weak. You need to kill someone then hope the obsession walks near that hook which unless they have an item is extremely unlikely. If the obsession dies they survivors know the killer has this perk and the obsession knows the killer will have this perk if they get exposed near a dead survivor. To me you basically only have 1 chance to get 1 down the whole game if the survivors aren't potatoes.
Die Alone: Action speeds don't usually involve gen repairs so I'm assuming it's the same here. If it doesn't effect gens I feel it's too weak. If it does effect gen repairs then I feel it's still on the weaker side. 5% just isn't enough unless you kill someone with 3 or more gens remaining.
Electric Health: Decent. Good healing speeds with a good condition. I'd say if it works on yourself also then it's pretty good.
Healing Aura: Okay. Don't think it's as good as the other perk for a few reasons. First is that if the killers a stealth killer this perk is useless. Second if they aren't a stealth killer you can tell by the heart beat if they're getting close.
Trot On: Extremely OP. It needs a cooldown definitely. You haven't stated if you need to be outside of a a chase while in the killers terror radius. It needs at least a 2 minute cooldown at tier 3 and the condition that you can't be in a chase while your in the killers terror radius.
Hope this was of help mate. I really like the killer but I feel like the perks don't compliment him well. It's a killer who is strong in chase and your giving him two exposed perks? These perks are also quite weak so I don't understand their purpose. Feel like this killer would be a nightmare for solo q players but a decent challenge vs swf teams.
-
If we remove t-bagging then..
- Urban will need deleted or reworked
- Hag will need deleted or reworked..
I love it!!!
-
You must be playing solo q. No way you can rant this many times about bad teammates otherwise lol
This is why I avoid solo q like the plague (not the killer).
-
Instaheals are pretty useless tbh. Self care also is a sign they're a bad player lol
If they t-bag you be toxic back.

Yeah. Thank you. And I hear u. Btw, some of my chapters do have back stories and Addons for the killer 😂. And I get what u mean about me focusing on making new chapters when I can clearly edit the others. It’s just that, when I think of an idea, I write it down almost immediately 😅. And then I make perks (perks are fun to make). And then I try to make a survivor for the chapter too. One of my favourite Chapters I have made is ‘Deadly Tales Of The Bales’. That one is complete with Addons (I think), backstory, survivor, perks and a map. But yes, imma try and focus on editing my chapters from now on. Thank you. 👍🏻
I understand. I literally have 15 perks for chapters that never get used lol
I was so worried writing that out because you never know how people will react to even slightly critical messages lol I would say when write out a chapter read over it a lot and always ask "Would I?". This can be "Would I spend time to read this? Does it change my attention" or "Would I play this killer? Are they viable".
I'll make you a deal. A good review for a good review. You choose a chapter you want to be reviewed and I'll do it for you. I'd choose one that you enjoyed that maybe didn't get as much traffic as you'd have wanted. I don't care for backstory myself, I'm more interested in the power and perks (can be both survivor and killer).
In enchange you do the same for my new concept. Mines is literally in alpha stages so it obviously isn't perfect but I'd like to know it's immediate flaws before I try and work on it further. How does this sound mate?

How convenient, that very comment you copy-pasted is one of the reasons I've made this thread. Now before we begin, I respect your opinion and I can understand why you think that way. Yes, I think Rusty Shackles is an annoying add-on. Yes I agree that Mint Rag is really amazing. Yes I agree that camping Hags should cease their existence.
But I don't agree with your hatred with scroll wheel Hags. Hag has problems with catching up that missing a teleport attack can mean the difference between getting a down and having an escape. Imagine if Nurse is fatigued BEFORE she lands that post-blink attack.
Good Hags, why are you angry at them? One of the things I like the most out of good players is that they have a wide variety of perk options. That's right, you don't have to deal with Ruin Undying Tinkerer every match! Instead I get a be exhausted, blind, and then killed by Devour Hope which feels a lot better than dying to NOED.
3-gen Hags are arguably annoying. I won't lie especially when somehow Ruin is still up. But I've said somewhere in this discussion that Corrupt Intervention works against them if they want to 3-gen at the endgame.
Flashlights are odd since at some point you could no longer sabotage bear traps. If you could manually get rid of traps by hand with a lengthy animation, then maybe it would be pretty nice. Makes it riskier, removes the need of a specific item, and makes it so the trap range trigger add-ons can be reworked.
That's it, my response to your comment. Feel free to respond however you wish.
Funny thing is I forgot about something I also hate which is the fact your camera always turns towards her when you set off a trap. Makes camping even stronger. I don't hate this but I know a lot also hate bodyblocking Hag.
Scroll wheel Hag's just don't have any counter play imo. At least normal Hags you have a slight chance to spin her. Personally I wouldn't really compare it to the Nurse fatigue. I'd compare it more to facing a Deathslinger main or an average Deathslinger.
When it comes to perks they do have more variety I give them credit for that. I'd still say though the good ones normally still run Ruin, Undying, Monitor, STBFL or a handful of other meta perks. Good Hag's though just are crouch walking simulator since they place traps everywhere. I hate crouch walking (and urban evasion) so needed to crouch anytime I'm near a totem, gen, loop etc just is extremely boring. Then if she's comes near you when a trap is there you can't avoid setting it off and getting immediately hit.
On the topic of counters it makes no sense how she can be completely destroyed by a team of flashlight users or be really strong when their isn't any. Always felt like it's bad game design when your killer is that badly balanced. I feel like being able to manually disarm them would be nice or maybe they get destroyed after a certain amount of time.
This is a good discussion mate. Hope you see why I just really despise facing her. I never have fun vs her because even if she is useless and gets destroyed she'll get 1 hook and camp it with 10 traps.
-
I agree that red ranks players should never get matched with rank 20 killers but I don't think they shouldn't be able to swf. I just think matchmaking should rank them with higher killers.
This is only because I think a higher levelled player trying to teach new players (their friends) how to play the game is good.

Are there really a lot of people waiting on purpose with DS to 2nd hook tho? Especially when they can see killer bringing mori with them? I'm not 1000h pro dbd player, but I don't think his Final Judgement is that good. It requires particular condition to be met, and then again, how many cases of DS after 2nd hook there are?
Final Judgement is extremely good. At red ranks avoiding DS is important since sometimes getting stunned by it can snowball into you losing the game.
-
Always love seeing these discussions. Makes my day seeing a group of intelligent, amazing and sexy people come together to talk bad about Hag.
I typed this out earlier somewhere else so I'm just copying and pasting it here.
There generally are only a few types of Hag.
1. The really good Hags. These make every chase boring and unfun. You don't know where any traps are and just have to guess where they are most of the time.
2. 3 gen Hags. These are the ones who force a 3 gen and just camp it with all 10 traps. They hit you and leave repeatedly. The games last 20 minutes with no gameplay really at all.
3. Bad Hags. These are bad because once they down you they camp with 10 taps near the hook. People can't crouch in to save and they can only trade 9/10.
Here's a few extra bits.
- Scroll wheel Hags - they teleport that fast that they guarantee hit you everytime without you having time to counter it
- Add-ons - Mint Rag (teleport anytime you want and at any distance) and Rusty Shackles (you don't know when you set off a trap).
- Flashlights and Urban - without either of these the games are horrible. Relying on a terrible perk or a limited item to balance a killer is bad design in my mind.
I'm just soooooo happy that I have at least 1 friend to play this game with when I play survivor. Can't imagine the disease known as solo q survivor vs Hag..
-
This is just completely incorrect.
The people who ran NOED before still run it now. The number of NOED users hasn't decreased since the Undying/Ruin meta came in.
-
@Barlor said:

Yea I agree, but I'm talking about whether it's really necesary to have moris as offering, instead of some award for particular action or something. We already have tons of useless offerings in bloodwebs as it is imo, where most people play 100% BP or particular map offerings from time to time. 75% and 50% BP are basically played only if you don't have better options, if at all :p
I'd say it's still good to have as an offering. Just look at how good Pyramid Heads final judgement is. Avoiding that late DS is pretty big.
-
Moris are only a cool killing animation.
Even though they were nerfed, it will still be the first thing people want to see when a killer is announced.

If I didn't play killer I would agree making thana base kit would be an excellent change 😂😂
You must think Ruin is a terrible perk if me talking about applying pressure doesn't make sense to you lol remember they can only chase 1 at a time.
-
I think mate you've just had a bad day, played dbd and it made you feel worse. Just from what you've texted it doesnt sound like they were toxic in anyway.
Here's why I think this:
The map was Coal Tower with them all having Balanced Landing? If this was 4 man toxic swf they wouldn't have all had BL. Also if they brought the map they were taking a huge risk since 1 map is useless with balanced and 2 others require a lot of rng (hills).
I feel really bad for you but sometimes you have to admit you just had a bad day. We all have those games (I did a few days ago) where we get destroyed just have to accept it happened and move on to the next game.
If your fully done with the game I hope you enjoy any later game you play.

Well it would be at least half a minute longer if at least 2 survivors are injured for much of the trial, also maybe they'd spend more time healing which again would slow down the gens.
I think it would just be better doing something more practical, especially for the early game. Feel like this would just be a band-aid fix.

What's the problem with Hag teleporting fast?
Generally if a Hag teleports you have a chance to react. However if you play on pc you can bind the teleport button so you teleport immediately. It basically removes any chance of reaction on the survivors part.
-
@psych321 said:
Its kinda cheap to hang them, as a survivor i wouldn't know if hes afk and go for a save.
This is an old discussion.
On the topic what I would say it's fair game for the killer to hook them. It's good hook points before a potential dc and maybe a stack for BBQ. Also the survivors would rush gens if the killer was afk.
-
It's just the only killer who needs the perk. Same way that Shadowborn is really only used on Nurse or Huntress.
-
He is unfun so I won't convince you otherwise. I will attempt to convince you that Hag is worse.
There generally are only a few types of Hag.
1. The really good Hags. These make every chase boring and unfun. You don't know where any traps are and just have to guess where they are most of the time.

If I didn't convince then fair enough mate 👍
-
It's very strong so I needs to be balanced accordingly.
I'd compare this to DS if a survivor said 'Why do I need to rely on the killer to use DS? Why can't just activate it whenever I want'. Both are game changing and need to be balanced properly.
-
That would be extremely abusible by smart players. I'd just go upstairs in a building to guarantee I won't get hooked. All your asking for is more games where the killer slugs for 4ks.
-
If the killer is good then you need 4 smart survivors. I'm not saying amazing loopers or amazing 4 man swf teams. Just smart players who know what they're doing.
-
So you think having thana base kit would stop 5 mins games? Hate to say it but if the killer isn't applying enough pressure the game will still end in 5 mins.

You are now focusing just one word i said, even you clearly suggested that in your previous post. This is what you said "Therefore they can't do anything about it." This clearly suggests that we shouldn't even bother trying to balance SWF, which is obviously unbalanced for many reasons.
You saying that killing "creativity" when you cannot stack multiple strong perks together? do you know what creativity means? Most SWF survivors run DS, BT, exhaustion perk (usually DH), and then semi meta perk like unbreakable, IW etc. Where is creativity in this? They are strongest perks certainly, but it's not creative.
Solo survivors maybe need DS, but SWF certainly doesn't as they have already BT, bodyblocks, flashlight saves available etc.
You've just taken a quote out of context and used it to try and prove a point. If you want to show the full quote here it is:
"The devs can't guess who's using outside software and they can't ever find out properly. Therefore they can't do anything about it."
As you can see I was talking about comms in that quote. I'm not wrong since they can't tell who's using outside software.
Again your trying to misquote me. Creativity isn't running 4 meta perks together and destroying killers. What I'm talking about is the Kobe builds, sabo builds, all aura builds etc. These creative builds that some swfs run as a break from running the same meta builds your complaining about.
My swf take 1 day a week where we run stupid builds like these and mess around. We don't do gens just try or win, we just try and commit fully to the build. We also drink just to make it that much more tougher for us. That my friend is what I mean by creativity. The amount of times we've done a build, died, seen it was a streamer and watch their stream to see that they had a lot of fun. Two people actually have said it was their favourite games ever.

Playing survivor to win is not THAT hard. You don't need insane looping skills to beat even decent killers. What most survivors get wrong from the get point is that they don't spread out beginning of the match to repair 4 different generators. This will automatically eliminate killers chance to put pressure on multiple survivors simultaneously, eliminate slugging and snowball potential. Luckily most survivors are't playing optimally and play overly altruistic. Saying that something is "impossible" to balance is simply lazy. The least they should do is limit how many perks SWF can stack together, this is not punishing you for playing with friends, but balance it as you obviously gain strong benefits as well. Even if you get rekt every game with friends you still have much more fun than as a solo survivor.
It would be quite lazy to say something is impossible to balance. Luckily if you read what I said I never used the word impossible once so I'd remove those quotations mate lol
I STRONGLY disagree with limiting the amount of perks swf can stack together. Your killing creativity in this game trying to say people can't stack perks together. Your just punishing some swf players because of how other swf players play.

Maybe they cannot do anything to coms, but coms aren't the only reason why SWF is strong. Marth88 did his experiment with and without coms and they still performed greatly without assistance of voice communication. I've had several solo games with good survivors to a point killer accused us of being SWF because we were so coordinated. It's advantage if you know you are playing with strong player, you know their play style and they know what to do in certain scenarios like if killer is hard camping then just push the gens or trade hooks last second before second hook stage.
If you know they're good it won't matter not having comms. The average player that doesn't have over 1000+ hours won't do well without comms. Knowing their play styles is something that takes time to build up. The devs can't just say "you've now played with this person over 50 times, now time to put some limits on what you can use" lol
I would like them to bring swf and solo to the same level and balance accordingly. Someone said before about not being able to see other survivors while on the hook and I actually thought this was an excellent idea. It won't affect the really good swfs unfortunately but will bring them closer to the level of solo q. Otherwise make kindred base kit.
-
They can't do anything about swfs using comms since they don't control outside software.
You may say "Then nerf all swf"
However not all swf teams use comms so your punishing players that play in teams for no reason. Your nerfing players for no reason.
The devs can't guess who's using outside software and they can't ever find out properly. Therefore they can't do anything about it.

I'll give you a few suggestions maybe why not all of your chapters are getting looked at.
1. The main one which I think is the most important is your not making your chapters easy to read. It's just blocks of text with nothing no make it grab my attention. All of your chapters suffer from this. They almost all blend into one. No headers, images, bold words or good spacing to make it worth while reading. There's a reason the most popular concepts are laid out extremely well and are nice to look at.
2. Your creating too many chapters without properly fixing one. Now I didn't read through each of your chapters word for word but I can tell looking at the perks that they usually have something fundamentally flawed. They're either stupidly op or no one would ever run it. Your too focused on "I need to create more" rather than "I want to properly flesh out and create an amazing killer". This sub forum isn't popular enough to create multiple chapters on a regular basis.
Here's an example of one you've forgotten about:
Where's the add-ons?
Take a look at me for example. Within the last 18 months I've solely focused on 1 chapter to make it the best it could possibly be. I've now created a new killer (alpha version) and I'll be focusing all of my time on it to make sure it's the best it can be. I'm not trying to say "I'm the best at balance" but I'm not just settling with "killer power and 3 perks, time to move on".
3. Only some chapters have survivors. People want to see survivors and their perks. A chapter without one just feels incomplete. Especially if you call it a chapter since a killer only concept is a paragraph.
4. No story. Unless I missed something none of your chapters have any story. No I'm not someone who really cares about it but it is part of the identity of the chapter. Some people care for the story and would actually prefer it to the actually killer power and perks.
5. Not commenting on everyone's concepts. Now I have to admit I don't always comment on chapters if they aren't fleshed out or it isn't easy to read. However when I do I spend a good 45 mins or more giving them really detailed feedback. The more people you do this for the more likely they will do the same for you.
I hope this is actually helpful mate. I'm not trying to be mean I'm just trying to give you some good constructive feedback to help you improve on later or revisited chapters. I just think creating 18 chapters in 10 months is a bit extreme and make them each of them feel unfinished.

There was a hating on Hag thread and I missed it!!! Honestly I'm ashamed of myself..
Would absolutely love to just delete the ***** already lol

I literally wrote a killer concept yesterday where the killers ability was to steal gen progress.
Just look for Alpha Killer Concept - No Ruin/Pop etc in the Creations section of the forums and you'll find it.

Well if that happens as trapper I think he'd be famous within a day I've never seen anyone on dbd get 4 traps at the same time.. He'd also dethrone otz trapper
I swear I've seen a video where a Trapper has downed a survivor and within 10 seconds 3 other survivors walked into traps.

Yes, this even happens on red ranks and i´m doubting their ability to learn from errors 🤣
I remember using the re-opening trap add-on and placing a trap at a pallet on pale rose swamp. The same Feng walked into it 4 times 😂 my brain just couldn't handle what I was seeing lol
