You can. Use unbreakable or no mither.

Shows the person is invested and will probably loop me forever or be toxic as hell. They also usually come in groups.
@ApeOfMazor are....are you serious? You can spend all the BP you want and still be bad. The skins only mean they want to look different. It's not a direct reflection of skill. I'm in p3 bloody Kate and ash and die ALL the time.
Also 4 people joining at once is almost impossible to tell swf from 4 solos now.
You're only hurting yourself by losing good practice, and wasting your own time. Just play the game or uninstall.

"If the Killer downs you, why should you get a free escape?"
Because you ran No Mither, and already were down one hit.
I'd prefer No Mither to be the cornerstone perk on struggling out of the Killers grasp, rather than Boil Over. Since it'd be tied thematically with David, as well as allow the Devs to experiment with "Survivor Powers". Or perks that offer significant advantages at significant disadvantages.
@SurpriseSurprise its also thematically fit with Kate. Shes the only one to actually fight off the entity for any amount before being dragged into its realm. She actually hit/hurt it.
-
Ash not getting a map had nothing to do with time. It likely was due to licensing.
And having 4 of legion at once also probably wasnt because of time, but because it would likely be op and super taxing on consoles to have 8 characters render/run at once.
-
Would you prefer the 4th hide until they get bored of keeping you busy?
Because that's what this prevents.
-
@CallMeSpidey I got it JUST for Ash. Got him to P3 and the sick puppet and have NOT used MoM except for trying it one or two games to see how useless it was for people actually playing and not trolling.

I love how you got 3 downvotes for stating a fact that has been well known for weeks.
Just shows how the downvote button is a bad idea easily abused by people that simply dont like each other.

Usually in my experience, a survivor stopping and dropping their item is essentially saying their life is in your hands. If you want to farm cool, if not they know they're too close to get away. It's an acceptance of death/hope for farm from what I've seen.
Unless it's obviously just bad mannering.

No. PTB will always be pc only.
You COULD theoretically do like betas, and simply release a Download of the PTB through the psn or xbox store. Download it all, your account is tied, but it's a separate application and data.

@kate_best_girl It's not instant. They still have to find you. Difference is, now it's not a FREE escape if gens aren't done. It's still handed to you however. 4 gens to go, you're last alive, you don't deserve an escape at that point IMO, so if they decide to close the hatch and POWER THE GATES FOR YOU, it's still helping you out of a ######### situation you more than likely put yourself in.
-
Sorry I don't get caught as much as you?
I also said the use of the perk as a whole was situational, not getting hit 3 times.
Trying to take what wasn't even a point of my argument to prove me wrong? LAUGHABLE.
You have to get hit 3 times (4 to pop it), not get camped, not get tunneled, not get hit with powers that skip it, and then NOT fully heal after activating it to see 0 negative effects. These days thats nigh impossible. On top of the fact that even if you DO have it proc, it gives you maybe an extra 30 seconds against a decent killer. Or they break off and move on in which case you've been hit 4 times, likely hooked once or twice, and are now injured, about to be dead on hook. For 30 seconds extra.
Keep using your very particular 4 man endgame scenarios to argue about the perks overall effectiveness.
These sad arguments defending how "broken" MoM is are getting old. At least come up with something new other than ignoring most of what was said in favor of one very specific detail you think you can use to your side.
Also, thanks! I will! Gonna celebrate a new job and watch the playoffs tomorrow! Should be a blast.
-
@DocOctober Youre using 100% and 115% to compare what, 125% and 135%? That is NOT as significant of a change, because it's ALREADY a higher value of the original 100%. it isnt a 15% drop. It's 15% LESS of a bonus that is added to it.
Try again.
Also, I WAS done, on the old posts? You keep up with stupid ######### towards Devs that actually know what is going on and I'll keep refuting your BS math.
@Ihatelife The only thing getting boring is watching people moonwalk and now get salty they cant rely on it.
Sure, we can stop. Just stop trying to say Legion is getting nerfed? Legion is fine, maybe even better now.
I'm not gonna put "end" because unlike you, I understand what a discussion on a forum is. A discussion, not some kid trying to have the last word when they have no evidence to backup the wild claims they hold onto like a lost child in the dark.
Also, "their needs a buff"? Their what needs a buff? Or They need a buff? If you're going to try and argue online, and end one at that, at least do it with proper grammar hon.

They didn't any context for those numbers during that stream btw.
Where are you getting DCs and letting Survivors go cancelling each other out?
They didn't give context? You mean they didn't break down every single game as who dc who kills who escapes? Of course not, that's THOUSANDS of games a day..
They tell you with each chart what they are for. Mori rates, escape rates based on map, based on rank, etc. They give you full context, just not the random fringe examples that shouldn't be concerned with as much.
I'm saying they cancel each other out in terms of mattering for the escape rate, as they are not normal situations. They don't happen every game making the numbers THAT flawed.
As in, yeah one game someone may DC and the rest escape, but the next the killer may go afk, thats a total of 1 "kill" and 7 "escapes" in two games. That doesn't mean that the escape rate is almost 80%, because those are not normal endgame circumstances.
I said they cancel each other out, because as being fringe examples, one grants more kills in the statistics, and the other gives less, both skewing the actual numbers. Since they are on opposite sides of the spectrum, I just use simple logic to say, "hey, these situations CAN and DO occur, but since they're both non normal endgame situations, and one says kills should be higher, and the other says they should be lower, they may as well not exist in terms of this statistic".
-
No need to be a dick about it either when I first gave you your requested proof, but here we are.
-
@DocOctober said:

Is the context taken into account?
What about all the games that would end with 0-1 kill IF the Survivors had decided to gtfo (= loss for the Killer, because Survivors played better), but then turned into 2-4 kills thanks to their own greed for some more altruism points making them screw up (= win for the Killer because the Survivors messed up)?
Same as accounting for the times the killer had an easy 4k and let everyone leave instead. Or when a killer has 3 in basement, but a deliverance, insta medkit, and borrowed time happen. They wash out, because they are fringe examples.
But you should know that, given your EXTENSIVE mathematics background.

Edit: Yep, source had been given.
I'm waiting for the "Oh ThAtS tOo Old To CoUnT" response.
Numbers are numbers.
Thats WELL below 50%
@powerbats Got that source for Tzee for you. I see why you stopped responding about it now.
-
It was Devstream 114: Let's Talk Numbers.
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OO3jgH173ik
Also, heres one based on killers getting Moris
-
@Tzeentchling9 It was a devstream within the last months showing survival rates based on rank, map, killer, etc. If you don't want to do the research, don't debate the evidence I just gave you supporting the argument.
The source is the devs themselves.
Dcs are counted just as much as killers letting people go. They wash out. Nice to see you didn't ask about that possible miscalculation. Was it because it doesn't fit your argument?

And here's why that argument doesn't work outside of your fairy tale DbD game in which Survivors apparently fail to somehow even run a straight line because they are so bad:
Distance covered is a variable of time multiplied with speed.
Since you guys will increase the duration, but significantly lower the speed, the resulting end distance can be rightfully assumed to be near equal to what we currently have or even worse in the WCS.
Combine that with it taking Legion longer to cover the same distance in Feral Frenzy as it did before, thanks to the significantly lowered speed, the end result is that Survivors will have more time to reach a safe spot before Legion is close enough to land an attack. Even when Frenzy then runs out and Legion can chase them faster thanks to 4.6m/s, it doesn't change the fact that instead of having applied Deep Wound, the Survivor is still healthy and safe and sound behind a pallet or a window or at a jungle gym, all things that are abundant on the maps and easy to reach for any Survivor that isn't an utter noob and lurking about the low ranks.
And here's why this argument doesn't work except your fairy tale scenario.
You can throw mathematics and physics at them, but you haven't ACTUALLY SEEN the difference in ground covered in game. The Devs have. Them saying it covers more ground, and you saying "my high school math shows me thats wrong" doesn't change the fact that they know what changes have been made and how much they actually affect Legion.
"Legion longer to cover the same distance in Feral Frenzy as it did before, thanks to the significantly lowered speed"
Significantly. Because 10-15% is significant? Espacially when these numbers are already upwards of 130%? That's rather insignificant.
Same distance? Pretty sure that when the Devs test it, and sasy they can cover more ground, they actually mean that. I mean, they ARE the only ones who see how it actually plays right now.
Unless you've done some out of the box testing for them?
-
Not mending means you hit the ground. You still have to mend regardless if you play Adrenaline or not. It keeps you busy.
Making 115% so that you can down without needing to rely on your power, is absolutely a fix, as without it people relied heavily on Feral Frenzy to down, with no logic or thought. This removes that aspect and makes you actually think.
If what you mean is, "Legion will require more thought and skill other than slash dashing and Moonwalking", then yeah, I would agree with you.
Also, I'm not sure if "You don't even gonna test them for sure, so please. ;)" Means you can infer from paper, or insinuating I won't test them, I have answers for both.
Infering from paper: What everyone does, every release, before testing, and nobody can say for sure how things will play in a live game.
Saying I won't test: although I play console, I have actually been going to my friends to watch her play on PC sometimes. I have been granted access to her steam account, SO THAT I CAN test these changes. With all the hype, and how fun Legion is (as killer and against them) for me, I can't wait to see how these changes actually work. So I will absolutely be testing them out.
-
@Condorloco_26 Bias? From playing both sides and even when playing as a survivor I'm NOT RUNNING MOM because of how situational it is?
Right.
You've also NEVER faced Iri heads? Now I just simply don't believe you.

I agree about wanting a refund for Legion.
They essentially are taking what Made Legion special (For better or worse) and destroying it to the point of him being unplayable.
I'd settle for getting my money back from the Franks skin (The Jock one)
Legions entire point was to spread damage and keep people busy healing or running, not on gens.
This change should help make that more possible, as opposed to the moonwalk tunneling we've had.
If anything these changes are CLOSER to what Legion should have been in the first place.

giving the killer a 115% movement speed dosen't justify making his power absolute trash to the point freddy in its current state does a better job than legion.
Oh wow we have PTB of the legion changes already? No? Then lets stop overreacting and see how it works.
The changes are healthy, and needed with the current "Legion is BORING" cries and moonwalking we've had to bypass their powers function.
-
"Do your work". They are. their job is to develop and produce a game for us to play.
Which you agreed to their ToU when you started.
Which includes a part that says almost verbatim "content is subject to change".
Meaning you pay to play their product, whatever it may become. If you don't enjoy it, you can stop playing or paying for DLC, but you paid for the right to play the game, not to have whatever you specifically want happen, with threat of refund if you're not happy.
-
Awww some people still see the balancing changes as that detrimental?
Man I guess some people just cant adapt or play killers as intended and have to rely on cheesey bullshit to get things done....
Can't wait for all the "Legion mains" that were cheesing to cry and moan while the rest of the Legion players enjoy a decent killer.
-
Oh you're right, you need a little skill as opposed to putting yourself unnecessarily in harms way to get a perk to go off for a slight speed boos that then reveals you to the killer when healed. I forgot that's so much worse than literally stunning the killer for arguably longer than the MoM hit will grant.

MoM wants a word with you
So does reading comprehension. They said "not that bad". MoM stuns now? hrmm guess I missed where they completely changed how useful the perk actually is.
-
"Hex: They alwaysback"
Yeah I'm gonna say fake, as I'd assume the team would at least use proper grammar and spelling when writing down killer notes.
-
Honestly, ask this in the Q&A thread. It's a decent question, especially for the visually impaired.
-
Some people may feel that if the killer closes the hatch, they could then patrol two gates (which sometimes are VERY close) with slim chance of escape based on tricking the killer at two separate locations. My question is, are they powered at 0%, requiring you to evade the killer AND fully open them, or is there any assistance to them?
-
@Tru3Lemon Not true, my buddy bought Leatherface a week ago because he was sick of waiting for BBQ.
Also after it leaves the shrine it will be another 5 years before we see it again. 😂
-
We don't even have any info on the "endgame"(other than its one of the best selling Marvel pre-sales).
For all we know it could be 2 hatches and the doors lock. Noed would still be used.
Let's just wait and see?
-
@BigBubs I have, in fact played at Rank 1 on both sides. It's funny, not EVERY game goes with the survivors NEVER seeing each other. They cross paths often enough.
It's up to you as Legion to build and play around the TR helping to FIND other survivors.
The increase in TR also helps with the players being further apart.
Other problem is, SWF cancer squads aren't NEARLY common enough (<10%) to use as an argument against Legion changes.
That is the vision of Legion. To spread damage. It's up to the devs to make it work right, in the current "meta" while still maintaining that vision.
However, in reference to the changes, I feel like they will be closer to that vision that what we currently have.
-
Bait?
You're complaining about not being able to abuse a mechanic for an unintended bonus?
Help me understand.
-
Ask yourself: "what will plagues power do to injured survivors"
Nothing, without using her correctly.
Also ask yourself: How can I be super looped when I have normal MS now?
-
@Free_Hugs Except, that spirit has to wait because her power makes her INVISIBLE, cover MASSIVE distances, and are able to DAMAGE after using it. Legion can only add Deep Wounds after using frenzy, or wait a stun. So having to wait an ENTIRE 15 seconds on a SINGLE missed attack, is a little bit much. Especially when comparing to spirit. Her power is to end chases, Legions is to start them and split pressure.
-
@Tzeentchling9 The problem was a poor execution, and a lot of hyped hopes from the community. Everyone wanted a ghostface style killer (which it wasn't and upset a lot of people), and assumed Legion would fit that bill because of the teaser. Killer mains wanted something to split pressure and slow down gens. The core vision of Legion was going to be that.
They just didn't quite do it right, and took in a lot of (extremely and unnecessarily angry) feedback, to try and come back to the core idea.
-
....actually yes. To spread damage and cause more than one person to be unable to work on gens. Split pressure.
-
@HURRI_KAIN be careful naming fog whisperers in the same post as saying the group should be dissolved. There are some that may consider that "naming and shaming" them. Like when we saw one on video encourage DCs, and the thread got shut down even with irrefutable proof.
-
@Free_Hugs A PC elitist? Yikes.
Only thing you can argue about console vs PC on the game is things like Nurse's turning and teleports. You can still play the game completely and understand how balancing works.
No need to gatekeep them because of what they play on.
-
@bubbascal I don't think they're op, I'm just saying for all the people who want to react before seeing the changes in action, to not complain when the opposite of what is being screamed is true.
I get what you're saying, and agree with/understand most of the points you made, but these changes are going to change how to play Legion quite a bit, so until we see HOW they affect the actual gameplay, I find it hard to believe that a blanket "nerf" has been put on them.
-
Everyone can thank my friend, UndeadDragon, who was sick of waiting and bought LF last week just to get BBQ. Even said "I guarantee after I buy him it will be in the shrine."
Im DYING right now.
His sacrifice brought this upon us.
-
@SpaceCoconut Ah I gotchya. Seemed like it was sass towards the post. But fair enough. Been a little heated today so I probably just assumed too much.
<3
-
@SpaceCoconut I dont see the community agreeing that Legion was nerfed too hard. I see the community in an uproar over balancing. It's not a nerf across the board, as much as you may want it to be.
If Legion turns out to ACTUALLY be trash, there won't be a post?
I feel like you missed the point of my thread, only to try to attack me.
I'm flattered.
<3
-
@IronKnight55 How do you feel about not seeing blood while in Frenzy as well as scratches now?
-
@lasombra79 I have no problem with posts discussing pros and cons about changes, just the ones that are simply "LeGiOn Is UsElEsS nOw I wAnT mY mOnEy BaCk!" because they dont have content, and devolve into name calling and arguments, not civil discussions.
@The_Bogeyman I feel like you have no idea what im actually saying. Im WELL AWARE that people are going to complain. Hell, I'm not asking people to not complain because I don't want to see it. I'm saying that "I don't wanna see it" as a call out to all the over reacting crybabies we get in here every other update.
Also, they absolutely WERE arguing they weren't Billy tier when released. It came up in a Q%A and Cote LITERALLY SAID that "not all killers have to be Billy/Nurse viable. Some can be fun" and people LOST THEIR MINDS. People called out the devs about it, complained about "######### fun its a killer that cant kill" "their power is being able to NOT 4k" kind of crap. It absolutely WAS a point of debate that Legion was not viable at high ranks.
lastly: "I'm commenting because you're saying what you don't wanna see here. Like peeps are gonna not complain because you don't wanna see it. You can't be a newbie to Dbd community. Nearly everything said is complaining and whining."
So you literally only commented, because I stated something I don't want to see, and felt the need to what, tell me I cant say that? I'm not allowed to expect the community to not be a bunch of flip flop crybabies? Im not allowed to expect the community to act better than that?
-
@PigNRun said:
You are right! Almost as if decent Survivors cant negate your tracking potential. And vaulting pallets and windows faster... and what afterwards? Either landing a hit which does nothing other than add further distance between you and the Survivor (plus the stun) or enduring a long stun after which the Survivor also gains distance?
Oh wait, after vaulting? You hit them with Frenzy and chase them AWAY FROM THE PALLET. Or block the pallet from them. Or hit them again with the addons that not_queen said would allow downs in Feral Frenzy, if THAT ONE ASPECT is such a problem for you.
You're hung up on Legion ENDING chases like spirit does, when Legions power helps start chases with an upper hand.
Stop comparing them to wraith or pig.
You can negate any part of a killer with extreme scenarios like this.
Also, my first sentence was referring to the Feral frenzy revealing others locations, not literally walking looking for tracks. As in, when Wraith hits someone, he gets to see others locations nearby... oh wait.
