The chances increases tremendously. Doesn't mean you get the map 100%
That's if more than one are burned. You can have 4 ormond and 1 game, and go to the game.
But if it's just one offering, it has ALWAYS taken me to it. In 4 years I've never seen a single offering burned, AND ignored.

Read the post slowly before commenting
I did read it. "Cant emote and spam crouch".
And I can still do both perfectly fine.
Comprehend the context of what I say and dont assume I mean it literally.

Uhhh, I can promise they didnt remove the ability to crouch/sneak.
Is your controller breaking?
If not you're bugged somehow.

Doing your objective efficiently makes you a noob. Alright that's cool and totally makes sense I guess.
They said "needs to" not "if they do".
Nice try at twisting their words from "you can win without having to genrush, and use other skills" to "if you do your objective, you're a noob".

Well, we don't have a rabid Coraline fanbase that spam thread after thread with how much they think it'd fit and how wrong the naysayers are. I was borderline neutral (more on the 'no' side) with Fnaf, but these past couple months of seeing Fnaf threads militantly forcing the idea, really turned me off the idea. If that games fanbase is THAT immature and close-minded, I'd prefer they not migrate to DbD.
Nobody is forcing the idea. They just keep posting because the naysayers dont have any real reason other than "I dont like it and some yt person made it cringey."
And then someone makes a thought out FNAF post elaborating on those ideas, and someone else comes in with "nah it wont fit bc xyz" ignoring every other example of that issue, already in game.
And then a new post clarifying...
But it also speaks volumes that so many people want it, and the ones who dont only have the reasons of personal dislike, and then ######### on the entire group of people who do like it.

I dont like the idea of coraline being in dbd. Also she a child so she cant be in the game. However, she can be a reference to a possible new DLC, yeah.
Steve and nancy were children. Sooooo.

Well, focusing on winning, in a non competitive, non ranked (no rewards, reset monthly, rank is fake mmr) game, is your first issue.
The second one is that basically every killer can be used to win. You just have to be good at ths game, understand basically every perk option, and have a decent grasp on tile layout/mindgames.
You cant M1 your way to a 4k with everyone.

I average 3-4 totems solo per game. With tallies like that, and trying to deal with OTHER problems, I don't have the 10 perk slots I need to cover everything.
My issue is that I don't have the TIME to get all 5 of them, and occasionally I will have searched what feels like the entire map. Even Small Game didn't help me actually find those last few totems. That and I don't have Detective's Hunch unlocked as a teachable.
And I've probably said this 20 times this thread, but it isn't the perk, it's the excuse of "Just do bones" that I take issue with. Because I DID them. And I'm always the one to get hit.
You can play with 0 perks and be fine. If noed is an issue for you. Run the perk that solves it. Not that hard. It takes maybe 2 or 3 minutes to go around the ENTIRE map. If you look well, you will find them.
You have PLENTY of time if you dont feel the urge to do 5 gens in 5 minutes...
Detectives hunch is good, but maps work too if you dont have it unlocked.
If I'm solo and tend to be left on hook or tunneled, guess what? I run kindred and DS. I dont come here and say, "stop defending tunneling" or "solo is unplayable". I use what's given to fix my issues.
-
"bhvr is a company and they need player/customer to earn money, and if these customers don’t like products, prices, communication or something else, they will loose them"
Them time and time again, catering to new players and monetary gain instead of veteran players and longstanding issues, has proved that this is not true.

Tell me why not? Remember how ruin got nerfed bcs it did too much? When you are doing objective you aren't being chased anymore. I have a video of chasing and downing two survivors, putting them in hook, run across the map, downed third and still got hit by it..
Ruin got changed becaus "it was unfun for new survivors" not because it did too much. It does just as much (if not more) than it used to.
Because now people dont do bones for ruin.
-
@Veen said:
Well I once played against those innocent survivors who's been SWF, I was so proud of myself, I managed to caught two survivors in the basement, for some reason one of them yeeted in the basement to do a bold rescue on them, I proc'd BTs and downed the third one who took their place, then the next two came injured and I downed one of them while the other rescued,
I downed the rescuer and proc'd BT and managed an hatchet throw while that time to injure the last one.
Then, the OUTPLAY came, yeah any decent killer main would have done this mistake, thinking already enough time passed, I picked the first one, Got DS, then the second one because I'm a big dum the DS came and by the time they picked up the downed one.
What would have been a 4k became a 0 because of a single perk, and yes maybe I had a blame because I didn't slugged them because I feel bad for it, well no longer now.
DS can be abused in many scenarios and need to be addressed.
Two or more DS in a row is not okay, you cant tunnel two survivor at a time.
Would you rather DS be like it used to, and useable on ANY pickup instead of 60s after hook?

Funny thing is that I don't need to. I just need teammates who will do ONE or two set of bones.
I'm already doing them when I see them. Not much more I can do! And I have also tried Small Game for an Archives mission. Not a fan.
If you're already doing ALL the bones, then no you dont need to, because noed wouldnt happen. But the post says that you still encounter noed.
If you dont want to rely on randoms, then run a perk to ensure you cleared noed.
Otherwise why does this post exist?
It's a non issue. People love to complain about what they could remedy themselves though.
So, again, if noed is an issue FOR YOU, RUN A PERK TO HELP WITH YOUR ISSUE.
"Not a fan" of small game? Well then try detectives or accept you may miss bones.you cant ignore a solution and then complain about the problem.
-
Also, you bring a flashlight because its "fun"? What is there to do other than blind killers? That's like saying camping is fun. Its useful, but it's not fun.
If he wants to camp and waste his game to eliminate a flashlight user, that's his prerogative.
-
Do gens.
If someone is being camped. Do. The. Gens.
Otherwise you're just feeding the camping and making it possible. If you have BT and can swap places to buy your team MORE time to do MORE gens, cool. But dont rush to save from a camper with no plan. It just reinforces that they get kills by camping.

I strongly agree with this whole post. NoED is a solo queue problem. Like you said, a solo queue player can do 3-4 bones, and still get hit by noed. Same happens to me all the time.
The devs need to add a token system to small game and detective's hunch. And add a (really trashy) way of find out how many totems are left even if you dont have those perks.
if a 4-man SWF complains about noed, then its a cut and dry "do bones" response. But if any other group/person complains about noed, "do bones" isnt a real response. We need a totem counter.
A solo player can also run detectives hunch or small game.
If noed is constantly a problem for you, use the perks available and remedy it.

Stop worrying about rank. Mmr matches based on your skill. It's okay to find out you're not the best and able to steamroll every game. It means you can improve.
Learn from tough games and play them through, and your mmr will reflect your skill and place you where you belong.
Giving up and not trying is the easiest way to ######### up your mmr...

So I’m not having struggles, that’s the point I’m having cake walk games... I’m legitimately worried that new players won’t stick it out like you or I would.
I was a new player 3 or 4 years ago. Killers were pretty powerful. I had no idea of the game. I died 95% of matches and waited 45 mins for games.
People who actually want to play and learn will. Those who want gg ez games, will leave if it's not handed to them. Which it shouldnt be. That's why the logic behind the ruin change was so painful. "Its unfun for new survivors". Well boo hoo. You cant be new to a game and expect it to be easy. Too many people see a yt comp or some people playing it and think "hey cool, another game I can just pick up and enjoy". But it's not that. There is and always has been a LOT of info you have to learn, as well as mechanics that will seem unfair to new players.
I understand we need new players, and we dont want to scare them off, but I dont want new players to expect every game to be a win either. Theres already too many veteran players that do that.
-
Imagine thinking that every game was the <10% group you think they are. 4 man swf hit squads arent that common.
If you're red rank, and struggling against red rank, perhaps you dont actually belong in red rank.
And that's not an insult, because rank means nothing and rewards you with nothing. But if you cant compete consistently at that rank, maybe that's not your real rank. Just play the game. Stop worrying about arbitrary metrics because other people say they matter.
-
This is what I came for.
-
Well, basketball is competetive, this isnt.
But to answer, it would make me want to play again, because losing hard is a good teacher. I see what they did right, what I did wrong, where to improve, etc. ESPECIALLY against people who have obvious advantages and experience. Because I can see what THEY do and use to their advantage after gaining the experience. I know what to practice.
People act like an unbalanced or tough game is a waste of time. Stop letting your bruised ego stand in the way of actual improvement. Learn from your struggles, dont give in to them.
-
Well THAT explains how bubba without bbq or nurses kept finding us....
Was curious as to how he would even know areas let alone perfect accuracy.
-
Except with dedicated servers, lag switching only really ######### yourself up. Killer included.
He would be so far lagging from you guys as well as you are him, that his hits would be nigh impossible to ACURATELY calculate.
Its probably just ######### internet connection matched with their killer side hit detection (meaning that even if lagging, he managed to hit you on his end, it would connect).
Lag switching like they used to do is impossible. They cant lag YOU out of the game until they hit you anymore.

To add to the above post, a similar perk, Surge, has a 30 second cooldown. It grants information within 32 meters of every generator currently being worked on on a basic attack down.
Considering the idea that the devs seem to be intent on streamlining and normalizing everything it would make sense that perks of similar stature follow suit with one another.
Except, As someone else pointed out above, surge regresses generators, not just gives a location. It's more powerful.
-
There are more situations than the 2 or 3 you listed.
One being, you hook someone during EGC, and their (1-3) fully healed teammates bt rush and save them, making your 1k now a 0k because you have too many bodies and extra hits to down someone.
I'm not against BT, but it's not ONLY useful against bad killers. It works against good ones too given the right circumstance.
Or my favorite, use BT to swap hooks with someone about to die, giving everyone essentially 4 hook stages worth of time to do work instead of being down to 3 people.
-
Because hitting them and not injuring them serves ZERO purpose other than a salty killer feeling empowered by a situation they're already winning in.
The ONLY exception is the one hit on hook to stop the screaming. Everything else is just a killer letting out their issues because they finally have an upper hand.

That’s clearly an unintended bug.
Stacks are only removed for offensive actions. I.e. those actions that cause injury.
Offensive actions could be anything that is an action you use to directly affect the survivor. Its not as defined as "basic attack".
Hillbilly sprinting NEAR someone could be considered an offensive action.
-
@malatruse said:
Huh. That should definitely be changed. It's like if Plague lost stacks from vomiting on someone.
Technically both are aggressive/offensive actions.
Its stupid, but technically correct. And we know how they like to change things that are working perfectly fine to "keep them in line with others".

How is this game a casual game? This isnt gta5 where you just load up and do whatever you want.
You load into a match with a set objective each match and a team to accomplish said objective and as the game is of now your givin a rank assigned to you to try and work your way up to rank 1.
How is that not competitive?
Because there is no rank, no reward, no REASON to compete other than personal options. Plus rank resets every month. Theres no accurate "good or bad" to use in a competetive ranked system.
Plus its asymmetrical, it's almost impossible to acurately gauge both sides as a competetive game. Because theres 2 different metrics to use.
Its casual, but due to its 1v4 and horror elements, people WANT to think its competetive.
-
You taking this casual game competitively doesnt make it competetive.
This isnt siege of GoW. Its 1v4 horror simulator.
-
So you want more daily challenges that are free bp.
Challenges are supposed to be difficult and/or time consuming.

The MMR system should not allow ranks 12+ to be against R1 killer. That is just stupid.
This is why we say rank doesnt matter. Because it isnt the "true skill" level. It's more consistency and time played. Not skill. Its why rank 10s beat rank 1s.
So if the mmr works, it will match accordingly, because rank doesnt matter.

i know exactly why Claudettes are the immersion type, and Jakes aren't that, we're respectable survivors who do their part and don't hide in bushes the whole time, and we feel that we deserve a cosmetic that lets everyone know at first glance "i'm not here to mess around, i'm here to run the killer around for 5 minutes, and if not that, do gens and be useful"
Then use cowboy hat jake.
Belndetres happen because her cosmetics made it so easily done. Not because "the claudette player has a different psychology than the jake player".

No, as in maybe not really caring if you 4k or not. No need to slug the for the 4k. Don't tunnel, don't camp hooks.. etc.
Good try tho.
So again, farming fits those. Killer doesnt care if they 4k. Dont need to slug. Doesnt tunnel or camp.
Idk why people are so upset about free points. It's like 1/20 games it even happens, and you can always do gens and leave. Or give up on hook when they hook for points. It's not hard to get the farmers attention to hook you.
Then you just, and this one is tough for most stubborn dbd players, move the ######### on to the next game.
-
My problem is that, if one person never touches a gen, or powers through it and never sees ruin, the other 3 are permanently ######### with no way to destroy it.
Requiring all 4 to trigger it, to be "lit" is bad idea and will encourage one person to never do a gen, just to save it.
Also, noed not lighting until someone gets downed would be....dumb.
Does the killer get the speed buff before its lit? That would seem like a trigger to light it. Or do they just not benefit either?
Dull totems having effects is a bad idea. If theres a hex, it needs to be lit. They're generally powerful perks, that are a risk to use. You KNOW someone could spawn next to it. Is it powerful enough for you to be okay with that chance?
-
@Clevite said:
Every one gets mad about suiciding on the hook, but this is the killer equivalent.
I didn't ready up to farm. I readied up to play a game.
If you're just going to dc/suicide on first hook, why ready up?
Same with farming, why even bother playing killer?
You want a chill game , then play less sweaty or play survivor.
"Play less sweaty".
As in, chasing for fun and letting everyone get max bp? Like farming?
-
You seem like the kind of person to get salty or respond "no I want a normal game" to a farmer, then when they hook you and you die, get mad about it.
You want a normal game, you can have it. And then move on to another one.

Game starts, I get on a gen. Entire team is slugged within the first ~40 seconds of the game. I let them all die on first hook, hatch out, the end.
The first 4 games were similar, killers with thousands of hours getting paired up with rank 13 slippery meat megs. Game is actually atrocious to play as a survivor currently.
You didnt know she was 13 using slippery meat until after you let her die on first hook to take hatch.
I'd say you're getting paired with those you should be.

Except not really?
You're a solo survivor with no info whatsoever of what your teammates have done, you don't know how many bones are left and where they could be, if you see nothing you can do nothing about it.
This whole do bones thing is such a weak reasoning that people like to abuse for everything, NOED is a silly perk that shouldn't exist in its current state, you do nothing for it and you still achieve it due to the lack of information the survivors get regarding totem count.
Except yes really?
I play solo all the time and have no issues with noed. Once 3 gens pop I start looking for bones. Because if you just rush 5 gens a d do no bones, you can only expect noed to be a thing.
"You dont know if people have done them"
Except, you do, because theres a pile of bones on the ground. And pretty common spawns you can check.
And even if there wasnt/I'm misremembering every game I've played, run detectives hunch, or small game. Killers are constantly told to "play this way" or "run this perk" if they dont like XYZ, so why should survivors be any different?
If you're sick of noed, and dont want to die to it, run a perk to help you if needbe, and do the ######### bones. Its REALLY not hard.
Or would you rather it go back to not being a hex perk, and perpetually active?
-
They're all the same survivor hitbox.
And the distance is server lag, or killer side hit detection. Not hitbox wonkiness.
If the killer sees the hit, you get hit. It takes time for your side to pick up the information, so on your end it looks like you're not close.
I cant count the number of times I've been 3 steps past a window, or 5 feet BEHIND the killer and still got hit. As every survivor.
