This guts Knight to complete uselessness, so it's a typical BHVR rework. Bet they won't fix any of his bugs either.
@sizzlingmario4 said:
The important and good part is that instantly dropping guards at loops is gone.
Now that that unhealthy strategy isn’t effective, Knight can be buffed if need be. Let’s see how he is on the PTB first.
There's always someone saying "now that they've nerfed this, they can buff something else!" and then years pass without the buffs ever happening. Stop using this as an excuse.

Every week is a new thread about how soloQ sucks and the apocalypse is happening.

Even then it still eats through regression event and would still be average at best xD Does it eat those of the additional effected gens as well?
Oppression doesn't take any regression events beyond the kick you do to activate it.

I really hate the lore more than anything else. This killer is cosplaying a character from her dad’s manga. And instead of having a mechanical suit, or anything else that looks like it cost a lot of money, she slapped a cheap looking Wolverine claw onto her arm, then used her 1980’s BeDazzler machine to BeDazzle jewels onto her mask, and decided that was a good cosplay outfit.
She’s literally a millionaire, and that was the best cosplay outfit she could make.
The only way to make her look like the manga character she's supposed to look like, is buying her most expensive cosmetics.
Peak BHVR.

I think every multiplayer game with DLC characters should allow players to try unpurchased characters for free in a closed no-stakes environment, such as versus bots.

Well, as I said, It's only "respectful" when the loser said it first, otherwise, it just feels like passive aggressive gloating.
Pretty much. People have used GG that way for years in every game, so I don't treat it as a genuine gesture of sportsmanship.
-
Please don't, she's obnoxious as hell.

Isn't the new DnD male survivor short? The human, not the elf.
-
i feel like the M1 hitbox has shrunk. I've been standing in front of walls and swinging and not hitting them.

"It's not good enough that I get bonus points, other people should be punished for not giving me more."
Come on.

Scratch marks get worse every update, it's not the event.

I really hope she doesn't return next year, I hate listening to her talk. She's full-on "lol Im so quirky XD".

This game has dozens of characters, perks, and cosmetics. Yet Iridescent Shards are handed out like table scraps to a dog. BHVR keeps the grind to pressure players to shell out money, it's just pure greed. It's a miracle that they cut prices on old chapters at all, and that's something they should have done years ago.
-
Haven't bought the DnD chapter yet, and I'm not feeling enticed to with this constant suggestions of nerfs.
-
Right now, Adam and Jeff. Later on, maybe Nic Cage, Alan Wake, Gabriel, Zarina, Ace, David, Sable.
I like switching up my survivor a lot.

imagine feeling so entitled to someone else’s BP offerings that you complain about them not bringing them in to help 3 total strangers.
I never said they had to use the offering. I just implied not using it because they want to be spiteful is silly. Putting words in my mouth is not a clever argument.

People playing in bad faith shouldn't be accounted for in game design. If you find something that you can do to annoy people the entire game (because slugging isn't just a small part of it) shouldn't suddenly be changed in such a way that it affects regular people playing the game as well because of a niche situation that you ended up in with a bad actor.
Stuff like that is too broad and has too many implications on killers with it in part of their design, what does oni and the twins get if you shouldn't be slugging more than one survivor at a time
What's the point of them still having a power after downing that first survivor just instantly smite victor and drain all blood oni has.
Idk its too rare of a problem and too difficult of a fix without just ruining some aspects of the game, slugging 100% can counter survivor greed and give the killer a win if they do it without any perks backing them up and removing slugging would just be babyproofing the game for survivors to remove a niche situation.
Not to mention all the times killers have to slug against their will, such as hook sabos or Boil Over on bad maps, or survivors fishing for flashlight/pallet saves, or survivors just stubbornly bodyblocking a hook, especially if they're using DS (which the survivor mains say you should counter by slugging, funnily).
Oops, sorry Mr. Killer, you gotta go in the timeout corner because you left someone on the ground longer than 30 seconds because they ran to Badham's basement every time you glimpsed them.

Just another thread demanding killers be punished for doing anything.

Imagine denying yourself and your three teammates bonus points just to deny the one killer player bonus points for no reason except spite.

Ah yes, let me just 99 my single use one-heal med kit and not actually finish the heal.
A medkit with no extra charge add-ons completely heals you at 99.
-
Two Can Play can turn every totem into a hex totem if survivors keep cleansing it and you keep reactivating it by getting stunned. Pentimento is intended to be paired with several hex perks, which is why no one uses it except with Plaything.
-
Any Means Necessary showing you dropped pallets mapwide makes it a decent soloQ killer-tracking tool when your teammates are in chase, so you know where they are and where they're going.
-
I would enjoy killer more if it didn't feel like every chase that lasted longer than 20 seconds was throwing the game. But I have no idea how to slow the game down in a healthy way, without making killer too oppressive.
-
This is the kind of thing that maybe could have worked if the game was designed for it from the start so it could be balanced properly, but it's way too late for something this radical, and I don't know if it would improve anything anyway.
-
It would be funny, in a sad way, if both Vecna and his perks got nerfed so soon after launch. The chapter was already unappealing to me but if BHVR wants to further convince me to never buy it, that's fine by me.

The problem you keep running into here is that you keep conflating one possible thing she can do with her entire kit. I think you're also overblowing that one thing - there are three killers who can do the "drop stuff at a loop, force survivors to run" thing and she's the least problematic of the three - but even if you aren't, that's not the whole killer.
The most you could conclude from this argument - YOUR argument, not mine - is that the one thing you're describing desperately needs to be fixed. It's NOT grounds to conclude that the whole killer needs to be redesigned, or tossed out, or that she has no skill expression, etcetera etcetera, because what you're describing is not her whole kit, it's one specific tactic she can do.
To say that she has "nearly zero skill expression, certainly none related to her power" because of one thing she CAN do but does not NEED to do is massively reductive for no benefit.
there are three killers who can do the "drop stuff at a loop, force survivors to run" thing and she's the least problematic of the three
Your bias is so massive, it's punching through the roof. I can't take this seriously at all.

You realize most people are In solo Q and on systems that can't chat? Like I mentioned before it takes two to tango if your upset about your time chase them out? They also have a incentive to have you do that btw with added points for body blocking escaping chase and starting chase. The game its self rewards the behavior.
I'm sure you don't feel bad about getting the 4 kill or closing hatch or slugging at two or tunneling or anything else. It's just a shame the killer can only nod or spin for their dances which I see often and I respect the craft. Ghost face especially with his crouch dance is a fun one as well.
Simple fact is killers love making mountains out of mole hills as you waste time in fear of confronting challenger unless it's you who came out on top. I have no quarter for such fears it's a game your here for fun
It's not often I see such dedication to defending toxic behavior. "I won, so I earned the right to act like a jerk" is peak entitlement.

You can also play without a fourth perk, but I don't see the gameplay benefit of that. Of course you don't technically need an item, that doesn't mean the game isn't designed and balanced around them being in use.
Suggesting to play without an item to counter this perk combo is silly. It's like saying the best way to counter totem finding perks is to not bring hexes, like yeah sure, why don't I read into the future to predict exactly what I'm going up against and adjust my build accordingly?
Suggesting to play without an item to counter this perk combo is silly.
Good thing I wasn't the one suggesting that, and instead suggested something completely different and more reasonable.

Can we genuinely just appreciate the majesty of this statement? In order to counter a niche perk combo you'll rarely ever see, 'simply' stop bringing one of the only avenues of survivor variation and expression that the entire game is designed and balanced around? Really?
Like, the original post wasn't exactly riddled with the best logic, but c'mon now.
You don't need an item. I almost never take items into trials.
A better solution would be to just put empty items in places that don't matter.

Survivors no more use Toolbox on Gen but Sabo plus 1 survivor away from Gen. Also get complained about.
Things happen.
One survivor being away from gens doesn't matter if the killer gets all their chases invalidated with no hooks.
-
Too much information for free.
They spent half their build on it. If you're struggling against a niche info perk that directly informs you it's active and is easily countered, I don't think that's a problem with the game, that's just you.
-
Sorry to say, but being good at running away from the killer will only carry you so far, by design.

I unironically think Weave Attunement is going to be a bit underrated. Sure, it's a pretty bad perk that no one will run… and THAT'S why it's great. Since no one will run it, no one will know what it does, and then they'll try to mind game around a dropped toolbox and have absolutely no idea the Killer has wallhacks on them. Otherwise, pairs well with Franklin's, and that's about it.
Languid Touch is probably his best perk, but you really don't need an Exhaustion perk, and if no one has an Exhaustion perk, it's a wasted slot.
Dark Arrogance doesn't feel impactful enough, either positive or negative. I barely felt the 25% extra stun and the vault boost is negligible. Just run Bamboozle. It's only slightly worse, has a better effect and DOESN'T have a downside.
Weave Attunement tells players it's active so I doubt it'll do much of anything. It does give aura reading around chests if survivors swap items in them, but that's about it.
-
It's really sad that the power Chucky demonstrated in his reveal trailer has been removed from the game.

An A-tier killer that nobody plays.
