Nothing against them as characters.
As far as preconceptions go, I second the impression that Renato's tend to be good players.
Design wise, absolute trash. 6 terrible perks to water down an already inflated perk pool. Should have been one single survivor with two distinct skins similar to Legion or the new DnD survivor.
I hope BHVR doesn't do double-survivor chapters anymore, they should stick to this idea of multiple survivor skins in a single slot. They absolutely should have started doing this with Thalita and Renato.

Prioritizing your own fun (and perhaps sanity) for online gaming is very human.
Unfortunately in this game lobby shopping around is soooooo destructive to the matchmaking. The player is knowingly borking up the system, aware of the effects and doing it anyway. 😕
It's not like the system works anyway.

I appreciated getting new survivors who weren't wealthy socialites or famous celebrities. There's been too many of those in my opinion and I'd like to avoid those types from now on. But the twins themselves feel underwhelming as characters, I don't find them very interesting.
-
I'd rather take double XP.
-
What would it matter, though? You can't use Deliverance on your 2nd hook so there's no reason to save it.
-
He'll teleport and shoot fireballs, basically an objectively better version of The Unknown.
-
More like bait.
-
I would increase the hitbox, but only slightly, to try to retain as many shots through tiny gaps as possible while still making shots easier to land overall.
Though if I was to change anything about Deathslinger, I'd shrink his terror radius, 28 meters at most but preferably 24 or 26 meters.
-
I got Bloodhound twice in a row.
But at least I wasn't the Jill I played against who got Self Care + No Mither.
-
All I want is a 3rd zombie so that playing Nemesis is a 4v4 and I have less situations where both zombies are in the corner of the map 20 miles away from the nearest generator.
-
Ghostface's power is nullified by survivors paying attention. As much as I want to enjoy him, he is bad.
-
Mixing licenses together leads to legal nightmares which is why BHVR doesn't do it.

Tarhos Kovacs was a slave who grew up to become a mercenary warrior, earned his freedom and also the freedom of the friends he grew up with, and began a bloody campaign of ruthless murder across Europe. He believed in "might makes right" and looked down on the nobility as posturing weaklings with no real power. Things like laws and honor were meaningless concepts to him because they do nothing to stop a huge guy with a sword from cutting off your head. All he believed in is violence and dominance. Vittorio naively hired him as protection while seeking a magical artifact, and Tarhos betrayed him and imprisoned Vittorio in his own castle to steal the artifact for himself. But he couldn't get Vittorio to tell him the artifact's secrets, Vittorio used a spell to escape, and the Fog eventually took Tarhos.

Buffing sabo doesn't slow down gens. It buys survivors more time to do gens by negating killer's progress.
-
It was yesterday.

Agreed, I wasn't a fan of Netflix's take on the series. it felt more like someone else's gritty edgy fantasy Witcher-esque story with Castlevania's name slapped onto it.
-
I wish BHVR cared enough about Knight to do this.

Franklin's doesn't work on the box anymore?
It doesn't work on any killer-specific items anymore.

i think that is the best explanation they could work with. there is no real way the entity could handle a full power cracular against his will. at best the both are equall in strengh
They could even say that one reason Dracula resurrects is because while he's playing along with The Entity's game, he's also siphoning power from The Entity's trials, like stealing its food. Every time he hooks Dwight, he's one day closer to reviving back on Earth.
-
@Zexbunny said:
Easy. After being defeated by a Belmont, the entity revived dracula in the Entity's realm.
All I wanna know is why we aren't getting his castle!?
The Entity's realm could be one place that Dracula's soul goes to bide his time while awaiting his resurrections. He hangs around in another god's realm, entertaining himself by tormenting another god's toys, then leaves when he's ready. I think that would work.
Also yes, the lack of a Castlevania map has strongly turned me off from the chapter through sheer disappointment.

This statement can be applied to both the Bubba mask scenario and Anon mode players I'm not saying it should be, You can probley tell I think the opposite should be done one had to go (masks) and the other should be on the way out (anon mode).
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3719266#Comment_3719266
I'm not vilifying anon players more of them act in a way that's not very nice than non-anon players it's just the way it is I don't personally have a lot of skin in this and the existence of anon mode is not the biggest deal to me just look through my profile and you will probably be able to tell I care more about balance than anything else but do think it makes the game worse and for a community that consistently keeps saying toxicity is a problem nobody here actually wants to see any changes in game to tackle it.
In short, the community wants something but wont pay the price of it.
one of the easiest and fastest solutions to clean up some of this game and mitigate the issue would be to bin off anon mode imo.
I'm not vilifying anon players
more of them act in a way that's not very nice than non-anon players
So you aren't vilifying them. But you are.
In short, the community wants something but wont pay the price of it.
You don't speak for the community.

My reckoning is that it goes back to the "choose your role" parts of DnD. Someone may wish to be an elven bard, whilst another may want a human bard, based on what skillsets they have. I believe this is simply for a "choose an adventurer" reason.
On the plus side, this brings in the second survivor who isn't a typical human! Gabriel bucked the trend by being a clone, which is still human but not in the traditional sense, and now this elven bard could well be the another sign of future survivors not being just regular humans. We could be seeing synths, mutants ... heck, if ever a Fallout chapter happened in future, "The Ghoul" could even be a survivor!
Very excited for all of this!
A part of me still wants a sequel Alien chapter. I'd like one of the Colonial Marines to be playable, but now that you mention it, a playable Bishop would be great. But his blood would be a different color and that might be considered a balance/visual problem.
-
I want Frank West. Rick Grimes or Isaac Clarke would be fine too though.
-
BHVR seems to hate their own Mori system for some reason.

Its not the point its the principle of the point. Even if the few are ruining it you need to bite the bullet.
Or just ban the few, instead of screwing thousands of people over.

tbf… a map for castlevania would be awful for dbd. too confusing.
Then make it not confusing. It's a big spooky Gothic castle. It's one half of the term "Metroidvania". It's the name of the franchise. Leaving it out is incredibly underwhelming.

Freddy is so bad right now I hardly think anyone would even care if his license got pulled.
People would care, because that would mean removing Badham. There would be celebrations in the streets.
-
Because this damn rubberbanding is making the game so bad to play that I'm struggling to care about anything DbD related.
Also I don't like D&D.
-
I'm sure there's plenty of non-anon players who do everything you've described, but you aren't paying attention to them.
-
A survivor who perfectly chains every pallet on the map is really boring to play against. It's boring in the same way Pain Res every match is boring.
And WoO doesn't teach survivors map layouts like some argue it does, it just teaches them to keep using WoO.
-
Healing under hook is okay if the killer is far away, especially if they're chasing someone else, in circumstances where them dropping what they're doing to return to the hook would be a tactical error. We'll Make It makes healing under hook significantly more viable as well. But it can be a very bad idea if the killer is within a short distance, isn't focused on another survivor, or is a very mobile killer such as Blight or Hillbilly.
As with a lot of things, it depends.
-
I don't like D&D, I don't like WotC, and I don't like Hasbro. I'm very unsatisfied with the game right now and I don't feel like giving BHVR my money. So unless the chapter's new content is really good, I don't intend on buying it, at least not right away.
Map might be cool though, if the D&D chapter is giving us a literal dungeon as a map.
-
Bump Wesker's Hindered back up to 6% so it's a nice in-between and almost entirely cancels out Hope so you still have a reason to cleanse near the end of the game instead of genrush.
Don't want to see Leatherface buffed, I already hate playing against him, I don't want even more reasons.
Removing Chucky's Scamper outside of his dash is killing a character that is already a struggle for me to play.

Yes, not fixed. Getting fps drops as well
Same. The Coldwind Farm maps are painful to play on, the framerate does not like the corn.
The game has become so unenjoyable, I've barely bothered playing to progress the Rift.
-
If NOED is taking a killer from 0K to 3K then the survivors have done something horribly wrong.
-
This game would benefit from more daily/weekly goals unrelated to Rifts.
-
Game is terribly optimized and their new maps are becoming more and more graphically complex which exacerbates the issue. Even on other maps, recently I've been experiencing extreme framedrops that turn the game into a slideshow for several seconds.
And I hear they're updating the game engine to a newer version of Unreal which might make things even worse.

@ChaosWam said:
To be fair, I tunnel anyone using that combo out once they show they have it.
It gives too much time to risk letting it stay in the match more than once. This coming from a hook spreader.
Yes, I had a match earlier where my first down in the trial was negated by this combo. And I decided to do what people suggested to counter it: hardcore tunneling. Which was still a struggle, but ended with a 3K.
It's funny when people defend it by saying "It's for countering tunneling!" but will use it the first time a survivor gets downed ever. Now you've inspired tunneling when I wasn't planning on doing it before. Good job.
Update: Just got a second FTP+BU as part of a SWF squad.
-
Trapper + Pig. Beartraps on the ground, beartraps on the survivors, beartraps everywhere.
-
I'd much prefer if we could choose something like a dark red blind instead of the bright light.
-
The best are Wesker and Trapper. Successfully grabbing someone with Wesker's dash and then zooming at Mach 1 straight into a wall is endlessly satisfying, whereas Trapper is so easily countered that if his power ever actually works and a survivor walks into a beartrap, you feel like a genius for putting that trap there 10 minutes ago, it's like an early Christmas.
The worst, I'd say Xenomorph. Even when the tail works, it just doesn't feel fun anymore. Singularity too, the effort he requires does not equal the satisfaction I get.
-
Some of these depend on playstyle. 3-gen Singularity is as fun as getting a tooth pulled, TV-spamming Sadako is little better. As said earlier in the thread, it's really the player that makes the killer fun.
-
I'd really like a Part 2 update that gave us a Hadley's Hope map with a Colonial Marine survivor.
-
Survivors can have one too, one that matches the icon on their Adept achievement.
-
I think you're overblowing it, but even if you aren't, I accept the trade-off.
-
Deathslinger. Gritty bloody cowboy adventures.
-
@Wiggles_Diggles said:
I wouldn't say he is the worst killer in the game. Plus I feel like some of his short commings can be solved with a few number changes. The only two things that are making him not as good is A) how much clutter there is in new maps now and B) the amount of invisible walls. They could make him much better by either increasing his move speed, decrease his reload time or revert his terror radius back to 24m. Not all three but one maybe two of those changes would go a very long way.
I'd love if his TR went back to 24m so he could be a sneaky cowboy again. I might play on console but I love Deathslinger's power and aesthetic and I try my best with him, and I'd play him a lot more if he got that buff.
I prefer his movespeed remains 110% due to the lore of his bad leg.

I don't know if this technically counts as a "singular" cosmetic, but I've always wanted a hotline miami The Fans cosmetic for the Legion.
I just want a straight-up Hotline Miami chapter so I can play as Jacket chasing survivors around a bloodstained Miami disco while hardcore synthwave music plays.
-
Reasons I stopped playing Xenomorph despite being thrilled at the inclusion of Alien:
- Flamethrowers are way too annoying to deal with.
- Low POV in Crawler Mode is obnoxious to play with.
- Tail hurtbox is extremely wonky and prioritizes everything else over survivor hitboxes.
- Aiming the tail combined with the obnoxious low POV is even more obnoxious.
- Aiming the obnoxious tail with the obnoxious low POV on a controller is pure pain.
- The significant slowdown upon missing a tail strike, which is common due to the above problems, is even more pain.
-
I don't trust people's complaints about tunneling because for all I know, their definition of tunneling is looking at the same survivor more than once within a 24 hour period.
